Just a friendly reminder that healthy skin is textured 🌟 Texture can be manipulated over social media. Changes in lighting, angles, & editing can make it appear as though there are no pores. Pore size is largely determined by genetics. However, Cleansing properly, moisturizing & wearing spf can help prevent clogged pores which makes them appear more visible.
My previous routine unfortunately stopped working, so I decided to strip my routine back to the basics - cleanser, exfoliant & moisturizer (& occasional spot treatment). The before (left) & after (right) speak for themselves! PanOxyl - Acne Creamy Wash Benzoyl Peroxide 4% Daily Control This is a great nighttime cleanser to help with inflammation & bacteria that may be causing acne. It works extremely well, however it does leave my cheeks pink. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator Next I exfoliate every other night. At first I hated this product but stick with it! It doesn’t sting & it sinks in better as your skin adjusts. Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion I use this moisturizer day & night. Previously I used Cerave, but learned the ceramides can cause breakouts depending on your skin. This moisturizer hasn’t made me breakout, however it is a bit oily. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser Because the Panoxyl leaves my face red, I use this gentle cleanser in the morning. It doesn’t cause any dryness & leaves my skin feeling cleaner than CeraVe did. ZAPZYT - Acne Treatment Gel Lastly I use this spot treatment on active spots. It works great, but can be drying.

These tips + these products have helped my skin: - Double cleanse EVERY night - Gentle non-foaming cleanser morning & night - Cleanse for at least 60 seconds, if not longer - Moisturize with CeraVe PM every morning & night (contains niacinamide) - CeraVe daily moisturizer on dry spots - Retinoid (Differin) nightly, applying every other night for a month then stepping up to nightly. - alternate weekly between azelaic acid & salicylic acid in the morning - AHA once a week at night if I take a break from differin - BP spot treatment on active pimples. I did not change my diet or dairy intake. However I have noticed myself eating a side of fruit & veggies with lunch or dinner. I have been sleeping more (thanks covid) & I wash pillowcases and towels weekly. I use a separate towel for my face, plus I have stopped putting conditioner right on my hair line.

DICKINSON'S - Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner witch hazel is claimed to “balance, clean & depuff” your skin. while it may do this, witch hazel contains tannins. These produce a constricting & drying effect. This is only short term & causes your skin to produce more oil. tannins are also sensitizing. Oily skin lacks hydration & moisture, so it produces more oil to compensate.

DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel Differin did get my acne under control. I did not experience purging, thankfully. The product itself did not sting, but caused my other products to sting. My face was very dry while using this. After finishing one tube, I decided to stop due to irritation. Differin caused extreme sensitivity. Micellar water that I previously used now causes chemical burns. I have yet to find a sunscreen that does not cause burns. Overall, I would recommend this product if you have tried all other treatments first.

The Ordinary — azelaic acid
Overall, not impressed with this product. The formula pills no matter what I do. In my research I have also found that Azelaic acid works best when paired with another acid, such as salicylic. The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% Paula’s Choice offers azelaic acid with the addition of salicylic acid. this formula does not pill & I love how it goes on the skin. No adverse reactions, though it is more pricey. PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster

💟 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 💟 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐬 𝐭𝐨: visibly brighten & help restore skin barrier. Help reduce the appearance of fine lines and provide intense hydration. 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 : biomimetic peptides, niacinamide, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, shea butter and soybean sterols Hands down. One of my top cerave products! This is one of the few thick occlusives I don’t get breakouts from. I think it’s just fabulous and i’ve only been seeing positive results from using it. This is a perfect moisturizing cream if you’re on tretinoin like me. Works great especially on dry patches. It is balmy and thick but it spreads well. It feels a lil greasy on my t-zone after applying but does fade overnight. This also still layers well with other products. I don’t have fine lines or wrinkles but this leaves the skin sealed with moisture throughout the night and makes the skin looking rejuvenated when you wake up in the morning. I see realistic results from this and I think it would deliver what it claims after a period of time. I believe mature skin would benefit the most from this product 👍🏻 - on some nights I would use this on my eye area only. this makes a great non-irritating eye cream! 💜 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞: $13.98 for 1.7 oz on amazon. (quantity is like half of the bottle’s size only) 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Smells like YOU.
I love how amazing this fragrance, I love it smells different on everyone making it a very different, personal scent. And it’s also pretty unisex in my opinion. The ambrette makes for a very warm, cozy scent. It lasts a decent time on me, and it wears like a big, cozy hug 😇 it’s a smaller bottle which makes it travel friendly! Glossier. - Glossier You
