So I have been trying to mess with my hair routine to better define my curls. I have curly/wavy hair, more like beach curls is what my fam said..I am new to hair care so would love some tips on how to better define my curls more. Here’s what I currently use. I was about 2-3 times per week depending if I swam or not. I live in a hot/dry climate and love to swim when I can for exercise
REDKEN - Extreme Shampoothis is new to my mix and bought during ultas jumbo sale. So far I notice nothing different to what I used before but it doesn’t seem to make it worse so still deciding. I use a handheld hair scrub I found on amazon to wash my hair and love how it got rid of my dandruff just from using a new tool

Batiste Dry Shampoo ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ehhhhh—
My feelings for this dry shampoo. It does do the trick... HOWEVER!!! It shows up white in your hair. My biggest pet peeve. It almost makes it look more dirty. On the pro side, it smells amazing and it does soak up all the oils. I would recommend for light blondes because of the light almost white residue it leaves!! Definitely try a tester or travel size before purchasing.
Batiste - Bastie Dry Shampoo

I seriously love Batiste dry shampoo! I use it almost daily. Not only does it freshen your hair, eliminate oils, it’s an excellent all over spray that you can use right after you wash your hair for extra body and grip while styling.
.
The 2 scents that I’m featuring is the Cherry which has a nice fruity smell. I don’t smell much of a cherry scent but that’s ok. I also have the blush which has a scent of fresh flowers.
.
The trick to dry shampoo is that you have too spray it within 30cm away from your hair and brush it out right away. If you don’t do this you will be left with a white residue. Brushing it out and spraying all over in a fast motion will help eliminate this problem. Also wetting your hair a bit and brushing it out can also help.

Hair growth!
I’m so so happy that my hair grew so much for the past months! And they are pretty healthy too !
* The first pic is January 1 of 2020 right after I relaxed my hair in the summer of 2019! *
In the pictures, my hair are semi wet after I washed them!
Here are the products that really helped !
SheaMoisture - Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Shampoo
SheaMoisture - Power Greens Conditioner with Moringa & Avocado
cantu - Argan Oil Leave-In Conditioning Repair
cantu - Shea Butter Grow Strong Strengthening Treatment
TROPIC ISLE LIVING - Argan Jamaican Black Castor Oil
SheaMoisture - 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Daily Hydration Leave-In Treatment
TRESemmé - Botanique Nourish + Replenish With Coconut Milk & Aloe Vera Shampoo #TRESemmé - TRESemmé Conditioner Nourish & Replenish[products]#[FiveStars]
I also used a lot of natural coconut oil, castor oil, shea butter and argan oil. I also made hair mask every two month, I took the TRESemmé Conditioner, I mixed it with coconut oil, castor oil, natural coconut milk, bananas, a bit of honey and a little bit of lemon juice. I put the mixture on my hair and I let it sit for 1 hour and 30 minutes, and I really noticed my hair were softer and shinier!
Beside products, having a healthy and
a “ stress free” lifestyle really does help, all 2020, I managed to eat good healthy food and do a lot of work out, so I believe these two things helped a lot!
As of now, I started taking NATURE'S BOUNTY - Optimal Solutions Hair, Skin and Nails Gummies and ogx - Nourishing Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum and SheaMoisture - Silicone Free Miracle Strobe Shine Spray so I really cannot wait for the results !!
Good day to you all!💋✨

🌿Fave OGX Products🥥
These are my two favorite hair products!
ogx - Green Tea Fitness Air Dry Cream
This product is great for lazy days when you have time to let your hair relax and air dry! I towel dry my hair and evenly distribute the product through my ends (avoiding my roots). One your hair dries, it is wavy and frizz free! It makes my hair so soft!!! I have naturally curly hair, but sometimes I scrunch my hair after I have the cream in my hair to create more defined curls.
ogx - Nourishing Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum
I do not use this serum everyday; I only use it when my hair is feeling dry. This product also helps define my curls and get rid of the frizz. A little goes a long way with this serum, it is very easy to put too much in your hair. Too much serum in the hair makes it look very greasy! I like the scent of this product as well, it matches my coconut shampoo and conditioner I use.

Say “BYE” to your rough hair!
I have unfortunately been cursed with rough, thick, coarse hair. With my hair, you will only ever see me in a ponytail or a messy bum, because I am unable to deal with it most of the time. And the few times I need to look a little presentable, I need a clear window of at least three hours in my schedule to be able to work my hair into a decent hairstyle.
This being said, I have tried a lot of things to fix my hair, and I have settled on the following solutions. For the first one, I have to mention my trusted hair conditioner, the REDKEN - All Soft Conditioner. I purchased this product about three months ago for $27, and I can tell a huge progress in the texture of my hair. Before, as you can see in the images, my hair was frizzy and a coarse mess. But after using this conditioner twice a week for the last three months, I have seen a HUGE positive difference! It smells so good with a coconut flavour, and the conditioner applies smoothly on to the hair.
The second product I really love to use when I need to tame my hair is the MOROCCANOIL - Hydrating Styling Cream. I got this at Sephora for $34 about the same time that I got my _ conditioner. It might seem pricy, but the product lasts a while and actually works for my hair type! I started by using this product before styling using heat, but I prefer to use it after every wash as I see that my hair gets smooth and easy to style that way. It smells great too. My hair used to be dull and dry after washes, but since I got this, the frizz is controlled and my hair is sleek and shiny, and it also feels so healthy! Don’t double think about getting this, 10/10 recommend it!

How to straighten curly hair without chemicals? My secret is...
I used to have fizzy curly hair, and I looked for some methods about how to minimize the damage when straigtening my curly hair. You can see from the picture that the result is not bad😜 I'm going to show you several easy steps.
1. Wash your hair
The first thing you need to prepare is a frizz-fighting shampoo and conditioner, and I recommend L'ORÉAL - EverPure Sulfate Free Frizz-Defy Shampoo L'ORÉAL - EverPure Sulfate Free Frizz-Defy Conditioner. They cost about $30.
2. Use a thermal protectant
When you’re about to blow out your hair, something that is an absolute must is thermal heat protectant. Before you pick up your blow-dryer, you need to prep your damp strands with a heat protectant spray. As we all know that heat can be damaging to hair of all types, which is why it’s crucial to use a heat protectant beforehand—regardless of your hair type. Before blow dry, just spray onto hair in sections and brush through to make sure it’s evenly distributed.
3. Choose the right dryer
A great hair-dryer can minimize potential blowout damage, and it is the most basic thing you should prepare at first. Look on the website or ask your friends and trying to figure out which one works best for you requires.
4. Buy the right hair straightener
The most important part is to choose the right flat iron. I do recommend GHD ORIGINAL IV PROFESSIONAL STYLER. It heats in just 30 seconds. 185ºC is perfect for all your hair styling needs and will not cause significant damage. But you can choose other hair straighteners according to your budget.
The following tips you should remember:
Using a good quality hair straightener
5. Add hairspray/oil
You could apply some in the form of a hairspray however, I prefer to apply a mixture of essential oil with a carrier oil.
That's my way of straightening curly hair without chemicals. I hope you guys will like this tutorial!

Basic Hair Tips (Part 2)!
Hi everyone, I hope that the first post has helped some of you in your hair care journey! Here are some more tips!
DO NOT OVERCLEAN YOUR HAIR. This is another hard reality for many people that have curls or coils. Remember how I previously mentioned that the production of bubbles does not mean that your hair is cleaner & that it’s stripping away your natural oils? Well, you also have to be careful to not over wash your hair because TOO MUCH SHAMPOO in your hair, regardless of whether they have sulfates or not, is BAD & DRIES your hair, which, in turn, causes your scalp to produce UNHEALTHY OIL to compensate for the dryness, making it harder for the hair TO STAY HEALTHY WITHOUT ITS NATURAL OILS & TO RETAIN THE MUCH NEEDED MOISTURE. How often you should wash your hair is IMPORTANT & also varies according to HAIR TYPE, so please take the time to do more in-depth research about this. I wash my hair 2 times a week. There are ways to maintain your hair clean without having to wash it EVERYDAY, it is not necessary.
That being said, this is probably one of the MOST IMPORTANT TIPS: MOISTURE IS A CURLS’ BEST FRIEND. Having curls automatically means that we tend to have DRYER hair than people with straight hair. It’s science. The shape of our follicles makes it harder for the sebaceous glands to successfully release sebum to lubricate our hair. The more quenchness your hair has, then the more dry it TENDS to be. That doesn’t take away the beauty, it just means that we have to work extra by adding more moisture and shine to our hair. Be aware that level of extra moisture needed VARIES according to hair type and that even though our hair is dryer. ADDING PURE OILS are NOT the solution, CONDITIONER/MOISTURE IS!
USE A PRE-SHAMPOO! I can honestly say that adding this step has made it so much SIMPLER to detangle and cleanse my hair. This helps ease prepare the hair for the actual wash, and that has also helped me reduce the amount of shampoo that I use, which is a bonus.
I’ll be posting a set of products that are great in the near future, so be on the lookout! Hope this helps!
Wanna Mermaid Worthy Hair?Trust Me! Try This Haircare Routine!👩🦰👩🦰👩🦰
My hair was always frizzy, pouffy, did weird flippy things when it felt like it and it was just an overall hassle to tame.
After years of trials and tribulations, money wasted and damaged hair due to the heat, I finally expolered the haircare routine that works perfectly on me.
I'd like to share it with you guys and hope its helpful for you.
1. wash my hair once a week
For someone with curly hair, washing with shampoo every day would strip away the hair’s natural oils and making it more dry and more frizzy.
2. I use shampoo with zero or minimal sulfates
Lately the shampoos that have worked greatly for my dry and curly hair is the DevaCurl - No-Poo Original Zero Lather Conditioning Cleanser. This shampoo produces zero lather (which takes a while to get used to) and the grape seed, peppermint and rosemary in it keeps my hair soft and frizz-free. TheLUSH - Rehab Shampoo is another great shampoo if I want to switch it up. I only lather a loonie-size dollop of shampoo on my entire scalp.
Tips: I never apply shampoo on the ends of my hair, just my scalp.
3.I use silicone-free conditioner
It smells amazing and a little goes a long way with this one and it works wonders on my hair. The olive fruit oil, hops and quinoa in this conditioner makes my hair incredibly soft, but my hair still feels light and bouncy since there are no heavy silicones and parabens to weigh it down or make it greasy, like your average conditioners.
I smooth out about 3-4 pumps of this conditioner on the ends of my hair only, starting from my ear, down to the ends. I let the conditioner sit in my hair for about 5 minutes before rinsing off and revealing silky hair that smells enchanting.
Tips: Never apply conditioner directly on the scalp and focus on the ends, because that is the driest part.
4. I rinse my hair with cold water
I always finish off my final rinse with very cold water. It’s worth the 10 seconds of frigid discomfort. The cold water basically eliminates frizz and feels refreshing on the scalp.
5. I pat my hair dry with a cotton T-shirt
Never rub your curly hair in a towel! That will make your hair frizzy. Instead, grab a cotton T-shirt and pat gently. I pat my hair, focusing on the ends mostly, to absorb excess water to prepare it for the next step below.
6. I use styling product on wet hair
The best advice I could give to styling curly hair: apply your styling product on wet hair.
I have used a number of decent curling creams in the past but lately I have been digging thisLOVEurSELF - All-In-One: Curly. It has great ingredients, doesn’t feel heavy, and the curl power lasts all week. With this product, I get bouncy spiral curls for the first half of the week, and by the end of the week my hair winds down to flowy waves, and my hair never feels greasy.
7. I use a diffuser to dry my hair
Diffusers distribute heat a little more sparingly so it’s not as damaging. I diffuse until my hair is about 80% dry, I give a brief cold air blast and then I finish off with the final step below.
8. I use a leave-in treatment to set my curls
This LUSH - R&B Hair Moisturizeris a Holy Grail product for me. It’s the perfect finishing touch to use after I’m done diffusing my hair.
9. I use coconut oil as a deep conditioning hair mask
I’ll slather it on my ends, comb it out through my entire hair, give myself a little scalp massage, twist my hair up in a bun and let it absorb the coconut oil all day or overnight by wearing a disposable hair cap and placing a towel on my pillowcase.
Do you have any ideas on curly hair routine. I'd love to discuss it with U!
LOVEurSELF-All-In-One: Curly
For curly girls!6 tips you can stick to!
Recently, my curly hair has become frizzy and I am looking for some methods to improve my hair condition. I asked for advise from my friends and did some research on how to treat my curly hair in summer. Today I’d like to go through some essential practices to ensure that our curls love summer too. Hope these tips are helpful to you🥰!
1. Use SPF! A Summer Curly Hair Care Essential
Curly hair naturally has a tendency to be drier than other hair types and this means that we need to be extra careful! So we can use products which contain UV protectors for hair and we can factor (no pun intended 😉) these into our summer curly hair care routine.
2. Moisture and treatments – go all out on the conditioner in Summer!
First wash your hair, then apply the mask generously through the mid-lengths and ends. Apply a low heat with a hairdryer. The heat from the dryer enhances the absorption of the deep conditioner. Then rinse the deep conditioner off and style as usual. You can also pre-poo with an oil to moisturize.
3. Minimize heat!
If you will still be heat-styling your hair in the summer it is more important than ever to use a heat-protection product. Protect your curls as much as possible from the damaging effects of a heated tool and always use a diffuser on the lowest heat setting.
4. Wash with care!
Using a good shampoo that won’t damage your curly hair is crucial. Sulphate-free shampoos may not lather up as much as other shampoos but they will still cleanse your hair effectively and are well worth investing in.
5. Humidity!
Humidity causes frizz! There are some anti-frizz/humidity products which don’t contain silicones. Some of these are called anti-humectants – meaning that they actually repel water away from your hair. These should be used sparingly, however, as extended use can dry air out.
6. Don’t stress!
Don’t let worrying about your curly hair stand in the way of enjoying summer. Curly hair isn’t meant to be perfect 😉 Don’t be afraid of a little frizz and enjoy!
A great summer curly hair care routine will really make a difference. Don’t forget to moisturise your hair, use great products and, if in doubt, cover up those gorgeous curls!

Alcohol free shampoo?? Its a thing!!!
After reading the ingredients on my cantu shampoo/conditioner, I discovered they had different types of alcohol in them. Why???
Just like in skincare, alcohol isnt a necessary ingredient in your hair care, i did some research and found PACIfICA - Pineapple Curls Curl Defining Shampoo and PACIfICA - Pineapple Curls Curl Defining Conditioner they SAVED MY HAIR!! The shampoo has ZERO alcohol in it and the conditioner only has ONE!! Which is so much less than my old cantu and other curly hair products.
They also smell AMAZING!! Theyre made with all ORGANIC AND NATURAL INGREDIENTS! I truly love this brand!!
