Keeping the summer vibes going year round! 💖🌺
One of my biggest skin struggles has to be my inability to hold a tan!! I can be out in the sun for a week straight and get really dark, but once I spend a day or two inside my tan quickly fades away. One great benefit from this is that tan lines don't last all summer like they do on others, but it makes me get dull really quick! My solution for dull skin in the fall and winter is the Tan Luxe self tanning products!! What works best for me!? TAN-LUXE - The Butter Illuminating Tanning Butter
Natural self tanners
Beauty products for uneven skin texture
Vitamin E in skincare
A fake tan without streaks? GROUNDBREAKING.
TAN-LUXE - The Face Illuminating Self-Tan Drops The Tan Luxe self tan drops are such a necessity for the summer! We both have been using the face & body drops constantly and loving them! If you are anything like us, you may be prone to streaky fake tanner applications WHOOPS. I’m not sure if it’s our laziness or just boredom while applying fake tanner.... but we can honestly say Tan Luxe is a lot harder to screw up!! All you need to do is add a few drops into your regular face or body moisturizer. Depending on how dark of a tan you want, you can add however many drops. We typically do 3-4 drops for our face, and similarly 3-4 drops per area of our body. Another area we are impressed with is the scent! Everyone is different... but we personally do not like the smell of most fake tanners! There is a subtle scent but it is nothing in comparison to a St. Tropez or Jergens. The price point is high but well justified! Have you tried Tan Luxe? What is your favorite self tanner? #cheriecreator
Custom-made tanning? Yes, possible!
I was gifted 4 stunning self-tanning products from Tan-Luxe and being a self-tan addict myself, I was in complete awe to receive them! The box said it’s custom-made tanning and that made me even more curious about this brand and its gorgeous products. Let’s dig in! The Face First, let’s talk about the packaging. The Face comes in this glass bottle with a dropper that allows you to apply a certain number of drops of the tanning product. So that allowed me to put more tan drops if I want a healthy bronzed babe glow, or less drops if I want a more natural color. It’s non-comedogenic so it doesn’t cause me pimples (hallelujah!!). Mix it together with your moisturizer and you’re good to go. I apply it at night time so when I wake up the morning after, the tan has already developed. The Body Like The Face, The Body comes with a dropper so you can customize the number of tanning drops you want according to how deep you want your tan to look like. I normally go for 12 drops since I have olive skin and I’m obsessed with a bronzed glow. It has 2 downsides though -the smell and how it fades. The smell is too much. My bf even told me it smells like pee (gasp!!!). And after 5 days, it left me with patches. It didn’t fade naturally unlike the other brand I used to have. That’s the reason why I don’t use this anymore. The Gradual Now, if you love a glowing tan look but hate the process of applying it, this product is for you! I use this every now and then during evenings for a natural bronzed glow the next morning. I can even use it in the morning and dress up and go on with my day without having to worry that the color might transfer to my clothes. It doesn’t leave any stain on my clothes nor on my sheets. It's heaven's gift to lazy girls who love to tan! The Water This comes with a mist that you can spray and apply with your hands or with a tanning mitt if you’re scared to have dark palms. I love that the mist is super fine so it applies so evenly against my skin. I even use it on my face to set my makeup at times. It has a very light tan effect that you can build if you want a deeper color. Just spray more, and you’re good to go. The scent isn’t as overpowering as The Body so this is perfect for me. I like to apply it on my decolletage to emphasize them when I’m wearing a lower neckline.
Product Review Lancaster Beauty - Tan Maximiser After Sun I had some left over Euros so did some in flight shopping on my return Tuiuk flight from Crete. This is one of the products I bought. I chose it as I have used other Lancaster Beauty aftersun products before that were not too bad. I have to say I am not that over whelmed with this one if I am being honest 😳. I don’t like the smell, it reminds me of that biscuit scent I used to get after jumping on a sunbed in my lunch break when I was young and stupid. It is meant to be intensely hydrating and moisturising yet my skin still feels so dry despite using this cream twice a day and yesterday I started to peel!!! It is also meant to prolong your tan and deepen it by enhancing the skins natural melanin production. Will I buy it again? HELL NO!!!. Is it a gimmick? YES!! I shall stick to a normal aftersun in future like my trusted Hawaiiant body butter.
I’ve never really used self tanners because I’ve always thought they would come out orange and streaky. I recently won the tan_luxe giveaway and used the body drops for the first time last week and was super impressed! I mixed 5 drops into my moisturizer to use on my legs (just the bottom half) and had the perfect bronzed glow! I love that these mix into your moisturizer so it gives more of an even coverage and the perfect subtle glow without looking streaky or fake. My one mistake was not moisturizing my ankles/knees first and it was slightly darker in those areas but nothing noticeable and could easily be fixed by using less over those areas and moisturizing first.
TAN-LUXE-The Body Illuminating Self-Tan Drops
this definitely was a required purchase! tan-luxe is the most perfect tan I’ve used and I’ve used a lot... the face tan is so natural looking and the body one is amazing and I haven’t noticed that awful tan smell either... so easy to use, not streaky or patchy and packed full of good ingredients... I’ve managed to not stain my hands either 🙌🏻 which is always my fear with a tan like this... And now I look like I’m fresh off the beach 🏝 I’m absolutely LOVING the instant hero tan...This is an instant tan and body perfecter in one!

A POC Friendly sunscreen that isn’t eye friendly
I’d rather get coal than this awful sunscreen! Lancôme, UV Dxpert Aqua Gel Primer & Moisturizer SPF 50 ($39, Sephora, Brand website, wherever Lancôme is sold) ——————— ⇛Beauty (⭐️): I really REALLY wanted to like this product, but it’s a complete fail. It sounds like it would be wonderful - primer, moisturizer, and POC friendly sunscreen. And, it primes, moisturizes (slightly glowy), and gives you sun protection without a white cast. However, it is very irritating for the eyes. My eyes water like crazy when I apply this, and since it’s not waterproof, if you sweat and get this in your eyes, it’s game over. It stings quite badly, like you can’t open your eyes because of the pain and intense watering. There are sensitizing ingredients like peppermint oil and fragrance (classic Lancôme smell), and it also has citric acid (AHA, weird to include in sunscreen because you are supposed to use this at night). Anyway, maybe that’s why it irritates the eyes? I’ve never actually had this issue with any other facial sunscreen, and I can’t use this sunscreen on my face going further. For $40, there are way better and less irritating choices in Asian skincare. It’s sadly a strong pass for me. ——————— ⇛Business (⭐️⭐️⭐️, not cruelty-free): Lancôme offers a wide range of skincare and makeup products. It’s been a staple in the department stores, and have also been sold at Sephora. I have to admit that I don’t really use Lancôme products that much, partially because they aren’t cruelty free and partially because there isn’t a product I’ve tried that’s been a home run, holy grail to justify the price point. And, I’m not too fond of the strong fragrance. Competition had been tough in Lancôme’s category. They need to either reformulate products or change their marketing to be competitive. ——————— This product was complimentary
I’m loving these self tanning drops from tan_luxe I tried these the other day and for a first timer, it wasn’t all that bad. Except, I applied it before I went to bed. Now, I sleep on my side so it got a little uneven BUT after a few days it has gotten better as it faded naturally! The people here didn’t even notice until I pointed it out. I also think it’s not that noticeable in my photos.. I’ll post photos soon when there’s better lighting! I’ve been lazy due to the gloomy weather. These Illuminating Self-Tan Drops have skin boosting properties that help the skin feel hydrated and radiant thanks to Raspberry Seed Oil, Vitamin E and Aloe Vera. I mixed 2-4 drops on my moisturizing cream and body lotion and applied it on my face. Next time I’ll just do 1-2. Then the tan develops for 8 hours while for the face, 60 minutes tops. My skin wasn’t dry at all the next morning. The tan lasts for about a week but I can control how it will look based on the amount of product I use. The scent is amazing by the way! In case you were wondering ~ 💛✨ Also, I noticed when I was toning my skin, the color was transferring onto the cotton pad which was okay for me because it allowed me to even out the mess I made. Now, it looks so much better and I’m ready for my next appointment! 😆
going shopping with my rents with this simple look! I took a page from Christina beaute.defile ‘s book and used this as a base before applying my SPF from lancome. The Lancome sunscreen from Asia already has a gorgeous tint in it that I honestly don’t even need to wear anything else on top of it on most days. Just applied some extra highlight with Rmsbeauty luminizer and Cocokindskincare Mai Tai – they both work so great! Also, the Meetblume gentle cleanser – omg I’m super into it lately. It’s just as it sounds – super gentle yet nourishing – and I especially love using it as a morning cleanse. It’s made with jojoba, chamomile, lavender and germanium that concocts into one very soothing smell!
