Is Farmacy Really Farm Fresh?? 🌾
Me: dry-combo, currently acne prone, sensitive or very sensitive For my first dive into Farmacy products, I purchased the FARMACY - Farmer's Market Kit so that I could try a variety of their bestsellers. Overall, a good tester kit for your money with adequately sized samples! (Much bigger than the Glow Recipe sample sizes.) From favorite to least favorite: FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm This was my first ever cleansing balm and I fell in love 😍 Your skin feels so smooth and moisturized afterwards. As a dry skin person I often used this as a single cleanse and didn’t notice any breakouts. I knocked off a star because it contains fragrance.... but actually I LOVE the smell... I just worry about my sensitive skin. The next balm I’m trying out is the GOOD MOLECULES - Instant Cleansing Balm FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya This was a nice lightweight moisturizer. I didn’t like the smell quite as much as the balm but it was fine. It did leave a bit of a shiny sticky residue for me but that went away when i added oil on top. Overall, not enough moisture for my skin right now, but I could see myself loving it in the summer! The next lightweight moisturizer I am trying is the CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask I wanted to love this one, and about half the time I loved it, but about half the time I HATED it. When it was good, it made my skin feel so smooth, hydrated, and brightened. When it was bad, it BURNED my skin, horribly at times. I guess it depends on how my skin barrier is doing? Probably not a repurchase since it was so unpredictable on my sensitive skin. I love honey and would love to hear thoughts on other honey masks to try! FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry My least favorite of the group, this one was just too sticky for me. I also didnt like the smell... it was almost sour smelling? Idk, just not for me. I’m now trying the Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serumfor my next vitamin C product. I also now purchased FARMACY - Cheer Up Brightening Vitamin C Eye Cream with Acerola Cherry and it is too soon for a full review but right now I am liking it a lot! It is not sticky, and does not have the funny smell of the serum. What do you guys think?? What Farmacy products should I try next? I’m eyeing the FARMACY - Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizeror the FARMACY - Honey Halo Ultra-hydrating Ceramide Moisturizerand the FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serumand maybe the FARMACY - Whipped Greens: Oil-Free Foaming Cleanser With Moringa and Papaya!! Let me know what you think!
My experiences with Farmacy
I’d like to talk about two recent additions to my skin care routine. These are both good clean products and I recommend them, but I don’t plan to repurchase. First, I’ve tried FARMACY - BEE CLEAN It was recommended to me by a sales person at Sephora. This cleanser is great, but I think it’s a little too stripping for my dry blemish prone skin. I’ve been trying to overcompensate with other hydrating products, but my skin has felt a little rough. I think this is a great cleanser for combination skin or oily skin, but if it’s on the dry side, find something else. To try and bring some much-needed hydration into my skin, I’ve also been trying the FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask I think it’s pretty pricey for what you get, and I just didn’t get the skin softening effects I was hoping for. It’s not the miracle product I was hoping for, but it is a nice warming treatment and again, I’d recommend it for combination skin or oily skin. I did discover a new serum that’s been giving oh skin more glow and hydration. I will post about it next time. Thanks for reading!
Drunk Elephant has always been a hit-or-miss brand for me. I love the brand’s ethos, the founder, and the quirky product range. But all the products I have tried have either caused me to breakout, or have simply not stepped up to the plate. F-Balm, their most recent release, caused me to use the f-bomb, and not in a good way. This product is a mask that is supposed to brighten, tone, repair, and hydrate the skin. Inside of the standard, plastic Drunk Elephant packaging, one will find a lightweight cream. Upon first application, it will feel quite waxy and heavy. One will definitely notice that something is resting on top of the skin (which I hated). I will say that the burst of hydration is really nice, though. The texture really reminds me of the brand’s “Protini” moisturizer. So what’s with the 3-star rating? What’s there to hate? Well, for one, this product tends to pill-up once applied. Which is never a great experience. Has anyone else had this issue? Second, my skin freaked-out and little breakouts started to pop-up. The majority of my face looked very congested. I will say that the skin that wasn’t affected by breakouts looked pretty decent, though! Personally, I really wanted to love this product, but I wouldn’t bother purchasing this again. But that’s how I feel about most of Drunk Elephant’s products... Which is painful to say, because I love the brand so much! Try this mask out if you feel inclined. Just because it wasn’t a good experience for me doesn’t mean it won’t be for you.

Some first impressions on the Ohio Beauty Before + After Vitamin C Mask 🍊 — Vitamin C has been a crucial part of my routine for a long time, so naturally I was really excited to receive this in the mail this morning 🤗 This mask looks like a gel but feels like a thick oil when applied. It spreads really well so you only need like one or two pumps at most. What’s on my hand is one full pump. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes and wash off. Vitamin C is great for brightening the skin, which is why I like it for my acne scars. Other ingredients in the mask are cucumber seed oil and rosehip oil. Both are very hydrating and soothing. Rosehip oil is also good for scarring 👌🏼 honestly ohii is never a let down!

End of Weekend Routine!!
Sunday Night... had makeup on all weekend, sweated a lot, and drank some alcohol so my skin needed a revival. I love the Overtime mask by Summer Friday’s! The smell of the pumpkin and the apricot speed flower helps polish away dead skin. It’s purpose is to reduce dullness, uneven texture, pores, and wrinkles/fine lines. My ONLY qualm is I have extremely sensitive dry skin and eczema flare ups; I only use it once a week to give my skin a fresh revival without drying up! Definitely apart of my weekend routine! And the feeling after?!? *chefs kiss* SUMMER FRIDAYS - Overtime Mask it is for all skin types, but it’s important to understand how your skin would work with this mask I do use other Summer Friday products that I personally give 5 stars!!!!

The Farmacy Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask is a product that I wanted to love but can’t... Farmacy has some of my favorite products but I just can’t get behind this mask. The Honey Potion mask is a hydrating, warming honey mask that contains antioxidants to give the skin a glowing complexion that is plump with hydration. It targets dryness, dullness and uneven texture, and elasticity. The texture is almost identical to honey. It is a very jelly/sticky mask that turns into a white, creamy consistency as you rub it into the face. I’ve had this face mask for years but have honestly only used it a handful of times because of the way it makes my skin feel. The reason that I don’t like this mask is that it makes my skin burn. Yes, it is supposed to have a heating element but this mask truly burns. I have sensitive, rosacea-prone skin. So anything that heats the skin can cause irritation for me and that’s what this does. After using this mask, my skin feels and looks like I spent the day in the sun and have a severe sunburn. For this reason, I don’t recommend this product. It is not worth the $56 price point in my opinion. FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask

I'm obsessed with the texture of the amorepacific Time Response Vintage Wash Off Masque! I love the Vintage Single Extract Essence so I really wanted to try the Vintage Masque and it doesn't disappoint! It contains green tea water and fermented green tea extract, and has actual little bits of tea leaves in it. Naturally occurring gallic acid (a type of tannin) from the fermented green tea brightens skin, tones and tightens pores. You only leave it on for 5-10 minutes before rinsing it off making it great for morning masking. I don't usually expect more than hydration with wash off masks, but when I rinsed it off, my skin looked noticeably more radiant, even, and refined. It left no residue, and to be honest, wasn't as moisturizing as some other wash off masks I have (and it does contain alcohol), but it definitely wins in the brightening (at least temporarily) and toning/tightening department. It has a pleasant, slightly fruity, green tea scent which I like much better than the signature AmorePacific scent. AP products are pricey and this one is no exception, but in my experience, they all do have formulations that are just a little extra special -- absorb better, deliver long-lasting moisture with lighter feel, luxurious textures -- just something that sets them apart. The Vintage Masque subtly makes my skin look fresher, brighter, more toned and youthful. I just really wish it didn't cost $170. Between the two, I would choose the Vintage Single Extract Essence over the Masque, because I feel like it's more versatile and may have longer lasting effects since it's not a wash-off.
