Glitters are a must, but are they better in liquid or solid?
As a huge fan of these sparking glitters on the eyelids, I am always going to these fine shining particles for the final touch of my eye makeup. And today, I am going to review two of the glitters that I like the most among all the others, one liquid and the other solid. Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow I got it in a three-piece kit from Sephora and they are in mini size. And this shade is the one that I am always going for a fresh tone eye look. Being a liquid is super long-lasting, and you can still see them after a long day. And one trick is that sometimes I would use them on my eyelashes and it’s actually easy to do that cause the brush is small and easy to control so that when you blink, other people could see the sparkles on your eyelashes and that’s so special. But you tend to waste it because it would be more natural if you first put it on your hands and then blend it on your eyelid. That is maybe the only con I can find with this product. Kiko Sparking Holiday Metallic Eyeshadow I feel like I can use this little eyeshadow for the rest of my life! I mean, I’ve been using it for more than a year, and it’s like brand-new. So you can see the color is golden, and of course, it would go better with a warm tone eye makeup, which is also my favorite. The glitters are kinda sparse so it’s very natural, but it’s also glowing enough that will add an extra eye-catching shine to your eye makeup. The con of this product, and I guess it’s also common for solid eyeshadow is that it is not so long-lasting. But it won’t get you awkward by falling on your cheeks and stuff. Overall, I would still highly recommend it because its shine is so beautiful and it only costs like three or four dollars, such a steal!

Cream shadow option at the drugstore
ALMAY - Velvet Foil Cream Shadow It is so hard to find a good cream shadow at the drugstore but with help from @soflovesbeauty we did it! The Almay velvet foil cream shadows are an easy one and done eye look and the range includes some beautiful shades. I picked up the classic shade Cupid Glaze and a more daring color Lunar Disco. They can separate in the tube, so make sure to massage the packaging before use😂 I am tempted to pick up a few more shades

Kosas 10-second eyeshadows
How cute are these liquid eyeshadows from Kosas?! I have the shades “waterfall” and “globe”. Globe is my favorite but waterfall is surprisingly wearable. Super easy to layer and blend out. They dry quickly, but not too quickly that you can’t play with them a bit. NO CREASING which is a win for those of us with hooded eyes (raises hand). Lasts all day long and perfect for on the go.
When touchinsol ldn Metalist and Glitter shadows are still only £5 reduced from £20 over with mmcl ldn - run don’t walk, I promise you need these! . Not only do they have more sparkle than unicorn poo, they are also crease free and have long wear staying power. Time to get your glam on 🤩 Here shown the colours from bottom to top - Eldora, Sonia & Talia Swipe for swatches and sparkle.

Makeup Mood Board – Chanel Illusion d’ Ombre
CHANEL - OMBRE PREMIÈRE Longwear Cream Eyeshadow I first discovered this glittery goodness about 6 years ago, when the range had about 12 shades. I slowly purchased all of them because they were too good not to. They have the perfect amount of glitter and shimmer and a base that blends out in a way that makes it look like you have multiple shadows on. I like to prep my base with a primer + transition shade and apply this with my finger over my lid. I don’t think this color is available anymore, which is a huge bummer, but I will cherish it within my little collection. I highly recommend checking out these shadows if you can! I was inspired by this flower (Hellebore) to create this look since New Moon is a purple-y shade with a green-ish undertone.

I believe that Kaja has made the best shimmery eye pigments in the game! This is the Moon Crystal Eye Pigment in Luminary, and it is the most gorgeous champagne shade. I like to dab a little product onto the back of my hand, and then use either my finger or a brush to apply to the eyelid. With one swipe, you have the most sparking, metallic shade that I have ever seen. Or, if you prefer a more diffused shimmer, this can be blended out as well. I have worn this for many hours at a time (and many hours of rowdy fun with friends) and this did not crease or budge. My eyes looked so sparkly the entire time I wore it! This is an easy 5/5, and I cannot wait to try more shades!

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
