Acne can be combatted as long as you choose appropriate products!!

For acne-prone skin, the most important steps of skincare lie in deep cleansing. Because a majority of my acne comes from the failure of doing absolute cleansing. I usually pay special care to the choice of makeup remover, facial soap and cleansing masks. Here are my reviews for some of the products that I have found useful or useless in combating acne. It seems that Bioderma Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Cleansing Water is highly recommended for a while. It rates 4.6 out of 5 in regard to customer reviews on Amazon. However, after using this French product for a couple of times, the area around my nose began to break out. It really frustrated me. Intending to clean up and avoid acne, it ended up worsening my skin condition. A sharp prickling sensation can describe what I felt at that time. It does not take off my makeup, especially eye makeup, as well as Estee Lauder(which I have recommended on my home page before). So it does no help to combat acne, instead it makes my skin more sensitive and unstable. After applying remover, I will use facial soap to assure absolute cleansing. The Clinique Foaming Sonic Facial Soap is really an excellent product to have. It gently yet thoroughly removes dirt, excess oil and impurities to reveal smoother, clearer skin, leaves skin feeling soft, comfortable and oil-free. I love this because it makes me feel so relaxed. I have been using it for a year, and my skin gets less prone to acne. When I feel too dry on my face but still need to do strong cleansing, I will use functional masks to do the cleansing as well as moisturizing. Dr. Jart+ Porecting Solution is a Korean bubbling charcoal sheet mask. It gives me a sense of deep cleansing when applying it. I feel the bubbles out of my layer of skin, taking away my dirt, my oil and etc. Maybe the charcoal does absorb dirt deep in my skin and refreshes my face every time I use it. It purifies my skin, and at the same time it moisturizes. This really works to protect my skin from acne. I get less acne. I highly recommend this. My must-have for cleansing!

I finally conquered stubborn acne and I tell you the secret
I had acne-prone skin in my teens, probably because of the unstable level of hormones caused by natural growth. My mom told me that the secret of eliminating acne lay in deep cleansing and appropriate moisturizing. So I kept the routine of careful cleansing and moisturizing for three years from high school the second year to university freshmen year. By the age of 18, I no longer had an acne problem. The passage below will tell some of the products that I had been using and found useful in combating acne. · Clinique foaming sonic facial soap CLINIQUE - Foaming Sonic Facial Soap Although I said some bad words about this product in my other review, I still recognized it as the top one for deep cleansing. So if you are combating acne, you may need to ignore the fact that it may evoke a tense feeling on your face after using it. It is mild when applied, and after using this, the pore gets smaller. I can tell the soap penetrates the pore and brings out a considerable amount of trash from below. And I recommended it to my schoolmates with similar skincare concern, they all returned positive feedback in terms of preventing acne. However, using this foam daily will damage the skin layer, for it makes the skin feel tense. · Dr. Jart+ Porecting solution mask Dr. Jart+ - Dermask Ultra Jet Porecting Solution Bubbling Charcoal Sheet Mask So I tried Dr. Jart+ Porecting solution mask. It is perfect as it combines cleansing as well as moisturizing. It is a perfect one for absent-minded people like me who had a feeble memory of mixing which products together. When I went out on a trip, I would pack a bag of 10 or 20 masks, each one per day. It effectively dealt with oil and dirt produced during the long process of traveling. I love it, for it sets me free from acne concern.

My favorite cleansing masks: Dr. Jart v.s APIVITA
I use cleansing masks regularly to have a deep cleaning treatment for my face. Here I recommend two products which are my favorite cleansing masks : Dr. Jart Dermask Ultra Jet Porecting Solution This is a black charcoal sheet mask with bubbling cleaning ingredients. So when you peel off the film and apply the mask on your face, there will be more and more bubbles on the mask, then the foam will cover the mask and start purifying your pores by absorbing excess oil. And more bubbles will be created when you gently massage your face with the mask on to maximize the clean effect. After the bubble disappears, about 20 mins, you can remove the mask and gently massage your face until the serum absorbed. I always wash my face after the treatment and I can see my pores get cleaner, and my skin gets softer. Because the mask has Eucalyptus Leaf Extract and Avacado, the cleaning process is very gentle and hydrating, which is very suitable for dry and sensitive skin to have a cleansing treatment. APIVITA Express Beauty deep cleansing face mask with green clay This is a clay mask to give your face a deep cleansing. It’s packed in bags rather than a jar, so I think it’s very convenient to take when I go traveling. Usually, I use one bag each time and apply a rich layer evenly on my face. The clay is very smooth and adsorbent. And when the clay dries on your face, it’s the process that the clay to deeply clean pores, remove excess sebum and eliminate blackheads. I like the natural ingredients they use for the mask, which are propolis, aloe, chamomile, wheat proteins, lavender and etc., so even it’s a clay mask, it doesn’t irritate my skin. It’s also easy to rinse off with water. My face gets very fresh and clean after using this product. All in all, I think Dr. Jart mask is very interesting and relaxing. I enjoy the time that I use it. But as it’s very gentle, I don’t think it’s enough as a cleansing mask. I like APIVITA clay mask better. It will not dry my skin while refresh it, leave my face soft and clean.

What a nightmare! I turn from oily skin to dry skin after using Clinique gel.
CLINIQUE - Foaming Sonic Facial Soap CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel · 19 years old I had oily&sensitive skin when I was 19. I got to know Clinique series in a marketing class where the tutor introduced the segmentation strategy this company had adopted. At that time, I couldn’t be happier because Clinique provides differentiated products tackling separate kinds of skincare demands. I was too lazy to choose from overwhelming products in the market. As Clinique was best known for its laboratory technologies (sounds like good for sensitive skin), I guess I could give some of its products a try. · 19-21 years old Then I went into a shopping mall and tried Clinique foaming sonic facial soap and Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel. It feels so cool, and I bought them without hesitation and began my extended two-year use of this daily routine. Guess what? I turned to dehydrated skin as a result—what a nightmare for me at that time. To reduce oil, I ended up creating another problem for me. Though the soap was good at cleansing (in this way, it reduces the chance of getting acne), it did make me feel tense on my face after a one-year application. I thought the gel would have been efficient in helping to offset the problem the facial soap left. But I was all WRONG! · 22 years old After another year of using those two products, I gradually found my face plump and radiant until I went into the beauty salon; dermatologists tested my skin type, which became extremely dry. The dermatologist that I should change products immediately. How frustrated I was. I thought it did include less moisturizing function in its moisturizing products only to pursue its goal of bringing a fresh feeling to oily skin. Maybe it (especially the gel) works out for some people. I would not return to buy products of this brand because it does little in moisturizing and is not cost-effective, though.

A micellar water that I actually love and use!
I’ve used Bioderma products before thanks to my favorite makeup guru, Tati Westbrook! I love the Hydrobio Brume (water mist or water in a can 😂) and I knew I wanted to try the makeup remover especially when I saw it was for sensitive skin! I also saw plenty of positive reviews for this product on here from you 😊 Most micellar makeup removers make me break out, irritate the skin around my eyes, burn or don’t remove waterproof mascara. Bioderma Sensibio Water is different and worked for me! I’ve used 3 different waterproof mascaras with this product and I can say that it removed the majority of the mascaras with the exception of some residue from the CoverGirl Lash Blast mascara. It removed the rest of my eye makeup without harsh scrubbing and the product is gentle. BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Cleansing Water

The Best Makeup Remover I Have Used🔅🔅🔅
BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O I discovered this product through a number of YouTubers (mostly French) 3 years ago. When my bf went to France, I asked him to pick up a couple of bottles for me to try as I’ve watched so many great reviews about this product.   Bioderma is a French skincare brand that you can buy in French pharmacies. They have a line of moisturizers, toners, but this product is, I think, the most popular among the rest.   I’ve been using this micellar water for 3 years now, and it has always been my favourite. Sure, I try other brands to remove my makeup but this is definitely my holy grail product. It’s something that I will always use over and over again. It does its job of removing my makeup, even the stubborn liquid eyeliner, and it never irritates my skin. It’s so gentle but it’s tough on dirt and makeup residue.   I can’t recommend this product enough. This is definitely a must-have for me!

Too much fragrance!
Too much fragrance!
I wanted to try an inexpensive gel or oil to use before my usual face wash for when I wear makeup and I thought I found the perfect product with this because themmm it’s marketed as a gel cleanser that removes makeup. My first observation was that I love the gel consistency. When I washed my face I was surprised to see that it did lather a bit. It does remove makeup effectively which is why I still rated it 3 stars. But the fragrance in this product is way too strong. It makes me feel like I’ll break out with continuous use. I only used it once and I don’t think I’ll be revisiting it. I wouldn’t recommend it solely based on the amount of fragrance. I feel that if your skin is sensitive you should stay away. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel
The Product: This cleansing gel is targeted to increase the hydration levels of the skin, and lock in that moisture. It is supposed to assist in softening the skin while removing makeup, dirt, and oil. My Review: My overall experience with this product has been well moderate. I’ve been using this cleanser for about a week and my skin has been getting smoother and more hydrated. I decided to try this product because I am prone to a lot of acne and wanted to add a cleanser to my routine before using my toner every night. I like the product, but I do not see as much results as it claims. Yes my skin has been getting smoother and softer, but I don’t think it removes the impurities on my face well enough. The fragrance of the product is nice and leaves your face smelling nice and feeling fresh. The texture is a smooth gel like. I just think this product is okay, it’s good for hydrating but not as great of a cleanser. I would recommend the hydro boost cleanser for those who want a little extra hydration, but not really for the use of cleansing. If that is the case then I do think that the product is worth the money for hydration since the price is roughly around $11.00, but I am sure that there are cheaper/approximately same cost or more effective products that do the same in the market. My Honest Review
My Honest Review
Aveeno - Daily Cleansing Exfoliating Pads For Face Why I bought this product a couple of months ago because I was looking for a gentle exfoliating product to use a couple times per week for sensitive skin. Description The product’s description stated that it would even my skin tone and texture. The product includes individual cleansing pads pre-moistened with acne medication with 1 side being smooth to lift away dirt and the other being textured in order to gently exfoliate. I have sensitive skin so I took into account that it was hypoallergenic, gentle enough for everyday use, and for sensitive skin. My Honest Review Cons: Unfortunately, after trying this product on multiple occasions it was not gentle on my skin and was overly drying, which resulted in a rash. It does have a fragrance listed in the ingredients list and I have since learned that people with sensitive skin should try to avoid. Pros:The individual premoistened pads make the process of cleaning your face super easy and quick by combining multiple steps. Conclusion I do not recommend this product. It might work better for you, but make sure you do a patch test first. ❤️

Product Review: Bye- Bye Oily Skin
Product Review: Bye- Bye Oily Skin
Hello Skin Care Lovers🙋🏻‍♀️ Today I will be telling you all that you need to know about the Cetaphil - DermaControl Oil Removing Foam Wash and the Cetaphil - Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30 Unscented based on my PERSONAL😬👀 experience and using it for about 3➕ months‼️ Background: I have always had Oily Skin🤦🏻‍♀️ and I know the struggle of finding a good quality product as well as affordable that will help me control my oil. When looking for a cleanser and Moisturizer I need to focus on two things.‼️ 1. Having a clean feeling after using it without irritating my skin.🙌🏼 2. Hydrate my skin without making my skin feeling more oily than what it already is and be able to absorb quickly😬 Final Product Review: 1. The Cetaphil - DermaControl Oil Removing Foam Wash It sells for $9.79💰 . This product has a Foam consistency like it says on the label. It feels like if you were putting cotton candy on your face 😋 due to the softness 👌🏼 it does NOT‼️ irritate your skin while or after using it👏🏼👏🏼 it is easy to remove it whether you’re using a damped cloth or using your hands and washing it off with water. 🙌🏼 I personally like that because it does NOT‼️ require a lot of time like other cleansers in my opinion where you have to be trying to scrub it off your face because of the amount of foam it produces👎🏼 After rinsing it your face feels CLEAN✅💯 Lastly, this product last a pretty good amount of time because you DO NOT‼️ need to use that much. I’m good with 2 pumps👍🏼, sometimes even with 1 pump👌🏼 2. The Cetaphil - Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30 Unscented It sells for $14.39💰 I use this DAILY‼️ I LOVE that it has an SPF 30 ❤️ so therefore it’s two products in ONE👏🏼👏🏼 Because if you’re like me sometimes you forget to put the SPF and BAM! this one already includes it👏🏼😬 It absorbs on the skin pretty quickly and it feels like if you didn’t have product on✅ Also you do NOT❌ need to use a lot of product I use 2 pumps👍🏼 ‼️ I have been using these products DAILY✅ for the past 3 + months and I HAVE 🙌🏼 seen results when it comes to my skin being LESS oily👏🏼 BE PATIENT😬 ‼️

Tale of Two Reactions: Buyer beware!
Tale of Two Reactions: Buyer beware!
CLINIQUE - Liquid Facial Soap Extra Mild CLINIQUE - Liquid Facial Soap Extra Mild Clinique Mild Facial Soap (Dry to Combo Skin) was my godsend in my 20s. I couldn’t be paid to switch cleansers; it was so reliable, effective and affordable. It’s been a while since I’ve used it but on a trip abroad this past Christmas, I realized I forgot my cleanser and while at the airport duty-free I decided to give Clinique another go. This time, however, I opted for the Extra Mild (Dry to Very Dry Skin) version because my skin is much drier than it once was and it was also mid-Winter. What an awful idea. The Extra Mild formula is more of a cleansing milk, and it goes on very light. I never really felt like it fully cleaned my skin, but I really loved how hydrating it felt. At first, it didn’t irritate my skin, and my skin was so soft after use. After about 2.5 weeks of daily use, I got a tiny pimple on my chin. Nothing too concerning at that moment, so I continued using it. Within a week of that initial pimple, I began noticing multiple, VERY painful lumps on my cheeks and nose - cystic acne! I used some spot treatments and lots of cold compresses to help the swelling. A day or two later the skin around my eye was so swollen and discoloured that it looked like a very minor black eye. I stopped using all skin care products and only used anti inflammatory creams and ice packs. After 7-10 days, all the swelling was gone and it was no longer painful. All that remained was multiple very dark spots (hyper pigmentation) where the bumps once were. I can’t say for certain what in this soap caused this, or if it would even happen again. All I know is I haven’t ever used that soap again and I haven’t had a single issue since. The rest of my products haven’t changed, the only variable was that particular cleanser. TL;DR - While I would recommend the Mild version in a heart beat, I would caution the use of the Extra Mild formula. You live, you learn. And the spots are almost gone now🥳 Would love to know if anyone had experiences something similar with any other products?✌🏼
