Daily Skincare Routines for Sensitive Skin
I have sensitive mixed skin, and once I had a hard time finding appropriate skin care products. In spring, my skin always gets dry, especially the eye region, while in the meantime some parts of my face get a little oily. And I also have occasional eczema problems. So trying over products had been my routine until I found the following products catering to all my concerns. These products should be applied after finishing cleansing. Step 1 Clinique Different™ Moisturizing Gel This product is used after lotion and before serum. When I feel too oily on my face, I will delete the process of applying serum. This gel contains hyaluronic acid and it acts as a natural moisture humectant. This gel is lightweight and cool but it does well in moisturizing. And it soaks into my skin very quickly. Both AM and PM use. Step 2 Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado I have tried many eye cream products but this one tops in my lists. Eye is an area that needs intensive care in case of eye lines and wrinkles. This is why Kiehl’s avocado works. Avocado oil is known to nourish, moisturize and soften skin. I always apply under eye cream along the orbital bone with my fingertips and then gently tab around delicate eye area until fully absorbed. I just apply it at night and my eyes get brightened the morning after. Step 3 First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream(GrapeFruit) This cream is famous for its super intense hydration. I will call it a skin protectant. My skin is sensitive, acne-prone and sometimes gets frustrated by eczema. When other moisturizing cream tend to irritate my skin problems, this cream is 100 percent trustworthy. The scent is nice. This is definitely a natural infusion. It cares my skin. I apply it twice, in the morning and in the evening as the last step of skin care.

BEST AVOCADO EYE TREATMENT
I have written about this product before, a while ago but it deserves another round. The texture is just amazing. I took a picture of the texture on slide 3. I have been using it for about 7 months now and it’s truly amazing. It instantly brightness my under eyes! It’s so moisturizing that I even use it on my laugh lines. December challenge PT 1
Sorry I'm catching up on this one, I posted it a few days ago and it disappeared 🙁 so I'm redoing it now 😁 Here's my fave products broken down: Day 11 - SPF: I only have one face sunscreen, sun bum - Original 'Face 50' SPF 50 Sunscreen Lotion but I'm looking into getting the Supergoop! - The Jet Set SPF Kitbc it includes an Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 401 oz and a Supergoop! - Play Everyday Lotion SPF 50 With Sunflower Extract1 oz - pretty good deal and only $28 (Sephora) Day 12 - moisturizer: it's a tie between Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Rich Luxurious Face Cream and Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream for me; I love them both so much and swear by both. Day 13 & 14 - face oil and mask: to be honest, I don't have a favorite of either, since I don't really use face oils/never really looked into them, and most masks cause an allergic reaction or redness of some sort. Every mask I've used has bothered me by making me all red and causing some mild acne, but one hasn't done anything bad, and its the Glossier. - Moisturizing Moon Mask . It's not my favorite product but I give it credit for not causing any rxns, plus 4/5 stars bc it did moisturize pretty well. Day 15 - eye product: I like my Glossier. - Bubblewrap Eye + Lip Plumping Cream and Kiehl's - Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado(haven't used the Kiehl's one enough to rate) Day 16 - lip product: I love the L'ORÉAL - Colour Riche Lipcolour and have a bunch of them. I recently got a ARMANI beauty - Lip Maestro Midi Set (it's called mini set, there's a typo I guess) and these Armani lippies stay in place no matter what and are very pigmented too. Days 17-20 in my part 2 post! (most recent)

Helppp. Need advice
Helpppp. I’ve been trying to switch to more eco friendly and less chemical/carcinogen based skincare. My face is breaking out so badly from masks and just generally being alive 😂😂😂. My face was clearest when I was using: Cerave sensitive cleanser or Clinique face wash Clinique toner 2.0 Philosophy essence Clinique hydrating gel (yellow lotion) No7 serum Clinique moisture surge moisturizer Clinique or no7 eye cream (alternated day and night) Clinique isn’t the most eco friendly so I’ve been trying to get away from that. I can’t do cureology because they don’t ship to my state. 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️. Currently I’m using Clinique pep start cleanser or Alba botanicals rose cleanser Good molecules niacinamide toner or aha/bha toner Same essence Clinique hydrating/clearing jelly with the surface focusing cartridge Good molecules niacinamide and aha serums No7 or Clinique eye creams Clinique Moisture surge Something has got to give. I hate to go back to that old routine but I guess I can. Just figured someone would have some advice. Not wanting to break the bank. Clinique Acne Products That Are Worth Buying!
Part 3 of my skincare routine posts! This one is all about the Clinique products I use. I’m fully convinced these products have stopped/limited any acne. ✨CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion - I use this in both my morning and night routine after cleansing (check out previous post for my cleansers). It’s so nice and doesn’t irritate my skin at all! I believe this is in combo with my other products is helping lighten acne scars too. All I do is shake the bottle to mix the product, then apply to a cotton ball or pad and wipe on the face. I focus this more on areas where my acne usually pops up. Side note: I recently bought reusable cotton pads and this works great with them! ✨CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel - I also use this product for both day and night routines. I apply it after the clarifying lotion and usually let it sit for a few minutes before doing my next steps. I LOVE this stuff. It can be thinly applied on the whole face or just target certain areas (which is what I do). A little goes a long way so I only need 1-2 drops of this. The formula is strong and works great without bothering my skin or making it incredibly dry. It’s a bit pricey for the size, but trust me it’s worth it (and it lasts longer than you think!). For me personally, I found this works better than any benzoyl peroxide product. ✨CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel - My skin is combo but it’s highly dependent on the season too. Winter I’m more dry, summer I’m more oily. This moisturizer is definitely a fav, perfect for summer! It soaks in and doesn’t sit on the face, so I’m not left with any oily residue. I use this only in the morning as I prefer a thicker, richer cream for night. Right now it’s winter here so I do have to use my old favorite Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer for certain super dry areas on my face (nose and sides of mouth), then I go over my whole face with the Clinique gel. **I highly recommend looking into their complete moisturizer line, they have so many ways to customize for your skin type.** Overall I recommend all these Clinique products! It’s a great brand that can cater to so many skin types.
dehydrated skin no more! 🌵
did anyone else do a HUGE Paula’s Choice haul over Black Friday/Cyber Monday? I did! I picked up a few items from their 30% off sale but my favorite has been their PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 8 Percent AHA Gel Exfoliant 🧴skin type: combo (oily/dehydrated), formerly acneic, light/medium skintone PC’s 8% AHA gel can be used daily because of it’s gentle gel formula. unlike BHAs, AHA are a bit more gentle and moisturizing and I typically recommend AHA for those with dehydrated or dry skin. though my skin is oily, I have a TON of dehydrated areas between my eyebrows and around my mouth, so AHA is perfect for me since it hydrates and sloughs off any skin dryness at the same time. I put this on after cleansing my face and follow up with a heavy nighttime cream: FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Pink Grapefruit I used to use #acne.org - AHA+ (Glycolic Acid - 10%)[products]#[FourStars] but I felt like it was a bit harsh and I didn’t care for the smell. PC’s AHA is super gentle and doesn’t sting my face and I’ve used it daily since I received it. it feels really cooling going on and also has helped decrease my stubborn flaky skin on my forehead which was my end goal! ⭐️OVERALL RATING: 5/5! would purchase again, especially as a more affordable and accessible AHA option. love that I can use this daily!
Trying something new, Yay or Nay?
Whenever I try a skin care product, to give a fair review, I will always use it for 2+ weeks. I have used this for 3. I have super dry skin, and had every intention of getting the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Pink Grapefruit . I have used it in the past, and it has done great things for my skin. I don't live near a sephora and just hadn't gotten around to ordering it. I was doing my weekly grocery trip, when I spotted this. I had heard of it before, and thought, what the hell. I have since used it religiously, on my face and body, and it's love Whats more, it's $20 cheaper than first aid. I would recommend this product, and it will be a staple for me from now on
My go-to skincare routine when I’m in the awkward period🤫
Skin type: dry and acne-prone, sensitive in period The following skincare routine is specially designed for my period😆. As i mentioned before, I’m acne-prone skin but not sensitive most time. During the period, my skin would become super sensitive and easy to get pimples. Gentle and maintenance are my main concerns. Step one: Apply Clinique Dramatic Hydrating Jelly after cleaning. Even I’m in the awkward period, hydration is my first concern. Dehydrated skin is hard to absorb the nutrient from further skincare steps. This Clinique Dramatic Hydrating Jelly claims that no oil and help lock the hydration of inner skin barrier, prevent skin from outside pollution. The little amount would go for a long way. While using it, I didn’t experience any breakouts. But remember, if you want to try this serum, a little amount is enough. The more amount of it you use, the harder to rinse. And may lead to the desquamation of horniness. Step two: La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 Cream will play the role of hydration locker. As we all know, the process of water evaporation happens quickly. To build a strong wall is literally important. Most face creams are thick and nutrient. I admit that this kind of function is good. But during the period, refreshing, useful, and calming are necessary. B5 cream meets all expectations. Due to the thick creamy texture, it is strong enough to lock all nutrients. It’s doing good for calming my pimples. If I keep using it on my acne scars during the period, scars will tend to disappear or vanish, which is surprising. Step three: To apply eye cream is always my last step. Because eye around the skin is too sensitive to general care. So I choose Lancôme renergie eye. During the awkward period, my eye around the skin seems more sensitive than before. The dry lines and wrinkles are obviously during the period. Besides that, puffiness and inflamed eyes become my problems. This eye cream is not thick, creamy texture, and easy to spread. It some kind removed my puffiness. Hydration is ok. I could feel the firming function actually. Here is the simplest and most useful skincare routine for me during the period.

Kiehls Wonderful Eye Cream
I have extremely dry, acne-prone, eczema-tic skin, and I am brown-skinned, so sometimes finding products that work well with my skin is hard. But this product from Kiehl’s does wonders for my under eyes. The texture of this eye cream is creamy but light and sinks right into your skin. Avocado being one of its main ingredients is extremely hydrating and soothing under the eyes and it doesn’t feel too thick. I have been using this for years and I can’t even find anything that works well for my under-eyes as this eye cream! Kiehl's - Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado

Is Retinol really worth to try for?
I guess many of you have already heard of retinol(Vitamin-A) and it is not a secret ingredient anymore. It’s more like a trend right now to see a lot of companies creating some new retinol products to us beauty lovers. Retinol is such a powerhouse ingredient added in cosmetic products and drugs that it can solve wrinkle and ageing issue. It also boosts the collagen production make skin look younger. Also good news for acne skin: retinol can fight pimples and tough acne scars and that’s why I have to try it. I bought this serum from the pharmacy after watching videos by some beauty gurus on YouTube. This serum has a white silky texture and easy to smooth on skin, but the fragrance is a little strange and not needed in my mind. It is lightweight and not greasy at all so for me a moisturizer is really necessary. My face looks brighter after the first night and so far I have used this for about 20 days and my skin is smoother and pores got smaller, which is something I haven’t seen from other products. My acne got better day by day as well. This non-comedogenic cream also has a light yellow color and easier to smooth on skin since it contains more oil in it but surprisingly it is not greasy at all and doesn’t make my acne worse. It smells like sour apricot and I like this fruity smell pretty much. It uses another form of retinol, retinyl palmitate, which is more often seen than retinol actually. Also with the help of gluconolactone, skin texture is clearly improved. This moisturizer feels light and my face looks much brighter and I have just used it for a week! My acne scars also got paler too. I kinda fall in love with this, to be honest. Retinol is quite powerful, but we need to build tolerance and give skin a break when it gets flaky or dry or irritated. It is great to see La Roche-Posay having this product for beginner to have a taste of retinol, but for those have already built tolerance, I recommend Neostrata Renewal Cream than Redermic serum. Although the price of renewal cream is higher with the exact same amount, we don’t need to buy another moisturizer since itself is a facial cream and I think it is worth it.
Anti-Aging Moisturizer gooaaaalllsss!!!
Seriously if you are in the market for an anti-aging moisturizer, # - Origins - A Perfect World SPF 40 Age-Defense Moisturizer with White Tea[products]#[FiveStars] is HEAVENLY. It’s an age defense moisturizer that moisturizes the skin, defends against pollution, and protects the skin from UV rays! What more could you want in a moisturizer!?! Oh and did I mention, it smells absolutely AMAZING. This targets signs of aging and future aging while blocking the skin from UV rays with 40 SPF. The consistency is amazing and so luscious, it is thick but blends very nicely and wears amazing under makeup too! My overall experience with this product has been amazing - I love the smell so much, the way it lays on the skin, and the fact that it’s an amazing moisturizer with SPF. I decided to try this product because of its reviews & the fact it had such a high SPF and amazing scent. I’ve loved this product for years and have gotten my friends hooked with Origins based off of this product. It is very hydrating and I’ve never broken out from this product. This product is $46 for 1.7 oz which I think is a great deal for what you get. I always tell my friends who are wanting to start a new skincare routine with this product because of what it has done to my skin! 10/10 recommend!!!!
