Morning routine updated

Taykro928
Ok I’ve made a few changes to my routine and sometimes I keep switching a few things in and out depending on the day.... I start with The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution
which I love. I think glycolic acid is an important ingredient to have in your routine for oily skin and wrinkles and even acne too. I always use insta natural - Zinc Vitamin C Serum
but I go between also using insta natural - Age Defying & Skin Clearing Serum
which I love for acne, insta natural - Dark Spot Corrector
I don’t notice a huge difference with this but it has great ingredients or insta natural - Skin Brightening Serum, Anti-Aging
that has alpha arbutin to help brighten dark spots or hyperpigmentation. So I alternate with those! Love using COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
to have a dewy glow and helps with skin texture and pigmentation issues I’ve recently added The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
to help with acne and oily skin and love it too. I top with a thin layer of Clindamycin gel and then moisturizer which I alternate also between a few different ones. BEEKMAN 1802 - Bloom Cream Daily Probiotic Moisturizer
has great ingredients but a funky old woman smell I do not like, thank goodness I only have a sample size.... Honest has a great soothing moisturizer I’ve tried and also ARBONNE has a great calming moisturizer as well as a lightweight jelly moisturizer I go between. Then I do a few drops of The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%
and I’m done. I usually let it sit for awhile or at least a good 5 minutes while I do my eye makeup and eyeliner before I use any face makeup but I love the texture of my skin so far using this all together.

PM Routine
Started this routine faithfully for about two weeks all together using these all together at night. I’ve been using Arbonne cleanser and night cream for years but have added the other things in too. Arbonne Cleanser- I love this anti aging cleanser for its ingredients, texture and it gets all my makeup off too. So I use this first. DIFFERIN - Daily Deep Cleanser BPO 5% I use this cleanser after my makeup is off and scrub jt around with my face scrubber pictured. I also let it sit on my skin for a couple minutes so it can soak in and work then I wash it off. insta natural - Organic Rose Water I forgot to picture this but I use this as my toner. I never notice if one toner works over the other but I always make sure to use a toner after I wash my face. De La Cruz - Sulfur Ointment, Acne Medication, Maximum Strength I honestly use this more before I do my morning routine but sometimes I do it before my nighttime routine after I cleanse my face. I leave it on for awhile to dry up my zits. Sometimes at this point I use a serum, I alternate between insta natural - Dark Spot Corrector or insta natural - Age Defying & Skin Clearing Serum or insta natural - Skin Brightening Serum, Anti-Aging or ARBONNE Renewal serum or ARBONNE Spot correcting essence..... or I do The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Then I use my ARBONNE NIGHT CREAM. I use my DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel on top of my night cream so I don’t overly dry out my skin. I don’t use this retinoid the same night I use The ordinary peeling solution though. I may have a couple times but it will definitely make your skin red and hot which I don’t want to overly irritate my skin either. The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil I use this with a drop of emu oil to help lock in moisture, help my acne scarring and help heal whatever acne I do have. I noticed a slight difference using the emu oil (definitely leaves your skin so soft in the morning) but the minute I started using insta natural - Age Defying & Skin Clearing Serum whether morning or night and DIFFERIN - Daily Deep Cleanser BPO 5% DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel I noticed a huge difference in my acne, inflammation and texture of my skin. I hope this can help someone else like this app has helped me! It’s so nice to finally see some improvement in your skin.

AM Routine
This is my go to AM routine to help my oily and acne prone skin as well as dark spots and acne scars insta natural - Deluxe Glycolic Cleanser I use this every morning to help with acne, aging and help the texture of my skin and I love it! Also helps my pores stay clean and clear. insta natural - Zinc Vitamin C Serum insta natural - Age Defying & Skin Clearing Serum insta natural - Skin Brightening Serum, Anti-Aging I use these serums next as my dose of Vitamin C, salicylic acid and alpha arbutin to control oil and combat acne and fade any scarring. insta natural - Age Defying & Skin Clearing Moisturizer and ARBONNE Overnight prep work jelly are my go to morning moisturizers for a light and airy yet moisturizing end to my routine. The Ordinary - Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% I usually put this on a few days a week for an antioxidant boost too to fight radicals but I don’t always put it on. I like the consistency but don’t notice much of an impact.

new skin faves
these are just 2 products in my current routine but these are my ride or dies! starting with the PACIfICA - Cosmic Hemp Balancing Face Wash im on my 2nd bottle of this stuff! it's not drying at all, smells nice and leaves my face feeling clean but not stripped. it's 10 dollars which isn't bad! it contains hemp seed oil which I have found to help keep my skin soft. Fourth Ray - Strawberry Face Milk I also have the coconut one! from colourpop's skin care line, fourth ray beauty, the face milks are perfect for me, as an oily skinned gal, for lightweight moisture that's super effective! it's winter where I am and these usually do the trick! I also keep my skin super hydrated to begin with so that may help so keep that in mind. I got these from ulta, they cost $14 each but I got a sale for buy one get one 40% off. I'm definitely going to repurchase these little gems 💎 when I run out! next up for skin care review... currently trying COSRX - 2 in 1 Poreless Power Liquid and COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence so I will update on that in about 2 weeks or so! thanks for reading. you're beautiful 😍 have a great day 😘

🧼Rebuilding My Moisture Barrier💧🤍
It’s always a balancing act when it comes from skincare. 😅 at least for me! Haha 💧I’ve had adult acne and have acne-primed skin, so when it comes to finding the right products that don’t over-strip my skin but also keep my breakouts & acne under control...you could say it’s been a journey! 💧If you saw one of my recent posts about my retinol breakout 😪 I’m back to familiar territory aka flaky, dry, inflamed skin aka my moisture barrier is damaged. And with the colder months, I’ve been spending more time trying to repair it. 💧These are some of the products that have been helping me: 🧴COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence : I recently purchased this essence and have really loved the effects. I use it after cleansing and find that it helps when I use it when my skin is still damp! It’s made my skin so soft & since it’s an essence, it allows for my other products to penetrate deeper into my skin. I will say, for those who are not really familiar with essences (especially this one), many often have a gel-like texture that isn’t super typical in some products (slightly sticky & for this one, slimy). 🧴CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin : my tried and true!!! I’ve been layering this product on, especially at night after the essence. Day or night, this lotion is a must-have in my book. It doesn’t feel oily on my skin and the hyalauronic acid is such a bonus since this an ingredient that helps draw in moisture into the skin. 🧴Krave - The Beet Shield : WORTH THE HYPE! Love Krave Beauty and I LOVE the Beet Shield. The texture is amazing, super light and dried down pretty quickly without a white cast. It makes me WANT to put on sunscreen and not just feel like I NEED to. 〰️After cutting back on the steps in my routine, and feeling& seeing results, I’ve been reintroducing these products for gentler exfoliation!〰️ 🧼CLARISMA - Cali Dreaming Cream Daily Moisturizer : the Clarisma moisturizer is super light and something I’ll typically wear during the day. It’s gentle and I like to wear it on days I’m inside especially since it is a lighter moisturizer and when I’m outside in the cold, I prefer something heavier. 🧼CLARISMA - Malibu Blush Exfoliating Scrub : the most gentle exfoliator! The exfoliating scrub isn’t at all like other physical exfoliants. The Luffa fruit breaks down when you use it so no micro tears with this one. The enzymes used also provide such a gentler exfoliation unlike most harsh acids. It also doesn’t cause hyperpigmentation, which I’ve experienced in the past with acids. 🏹Let me know what’s helped you with repairing or protecting your moisture barrier! 🤍

Tour of what’s in my fridge
A skin care fridge is totally not a necessity but they are super fun to have. Things to consider before buying one is: does it fit in your budget, will it fit in your bathroom, what products will go in it? I got mine from Amazon where they range from $60-$150 cad but you can get them from tons of places. The way I use mine is to keep products cold for the experience (de puffing) and to extend their shelf life. Here’s a tour of what I currently keep in my skincare fridge. The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% This serum is great to keep cold as it ensures it is kept at a consistent temperature and in a dark place which helps with stability. The combination of ascorbic acid and alpha arbutin make for a great brightening and hyperpigmentation treatment. THE BODY SHOP - British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask This is a really nice hydrating and plumping face mask that gives a very spa like vibe. The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil I love to keep this oil cold as it increases the shelf life. This is a great hydrating oil that also helps acne and hyperpigmentation. THE BODY SHOP - Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask I love keeping this mask chilled as it helps depuff my face in the morning. This is a very nourishing mask that is also gently brightening. pixi - DetoxifEYE These are great cold as they really helps get rid of any puffiness from waking up. This pot holds 30 pairs which is great value from money. VERSED - LOOK ALIVE Hydrating Plumping Mask This is a great hydrating mask that really plumps my skin and helps when it is dehydrated. Keeping it cold makes the experience even more enjoyable. LANEIGE - Cica Sleeping Mask This is a creamy sleeping mask that highlights cica which is a very soothing ingredient. Applying it cold makes the soothing power even more effective. LANEIGE - Lavender Water Sleeping Mask This is a gel mask that feels great when applied cold as it feels very soothing. The lavender scent can also be very relaxing. grace & stella - Rose quartz face roller I love doing an evening massage, it feels amazing if the tool is kept cold. It helps with lymphatic drainage and product absorption. 👜Sheet masks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I love to keep all my sheet masks in the fridge as the experience of a chilled mask is very enjoyable.

Suggestions help?? 🥲
I’m still having trouble with my acne, at first it was clearing up then all of sudden it keeps getting worse, any recommendations will help ! 😣 Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser epielle - Black Charcoal Peel-Off Mask The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Sometimes I would use .. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% but if I don’t I would skip it and use .. The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%

Not my ☕
On the upside this product is fragrence and essential oil free...... However the picture of myself does not do justice to show just how shiny, dewy, and reflective my skin is. My skin in the picture looks good, but trust me if I could capture it right or you could see it in person, it's a little much for me (and I didn't use heavy serums or oils. Just my cleansers, HA, krave skin barrier, and this). I have dry skin and most products sink in and within an hour my skin usually looks like it is has the right amount of moister to it. Even after this sinks into my skin, it still gives off this look as if I'm almost oily (but it doesn't leave a residue). I'll still use this at night to not waste it because by the time I wake up, it's not that intense (so still have time for it to change my mind), but I personally won't be using this in the AM. It also don't feel as heavy as my usual night creams, but it's heavy enough where I don't want to go in with a second moisturizer. I feel I have better night cream options than this one. If it sat better and didn't make me appear oily, it would be a good consistency for a AM cream. Due to that reason I won't be repurchasing. Maybe I'll try their other products 🤷‍♀️ we'll see

Next on my list to review....
Here's my latest skin haul awaiting to arrive in the mail. I'll be trying and reviewing to give you my truthful opinion on how these work for me and why I think they are (or are not) a good product. Have you personally tried any of these? Sound off in the comments your thoughts. Give me time to get through each of these products since I'll be trying them out for atleast a week at a time.

Instanatural Brand - Great products!
I came across this brand researching clean skin care products and love it so far! The ingredients are great and they’re fairly inexpensive. Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines pt. 3
Hey y’all! Today’s post is part 3 of 4 of my Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines series. In today’s post we’re covering @geralorentas and @robynkenner ! Starting with @geralorentas. She starts out by cleansing with theCeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser which costs $13 for 8 fl oz. This cleanser has super gentle exfoliating agents, as well as glycerin and Hylaronic acid which are very hydrating. Next she uses theRENÉE ROULEAU - Rapid Response Detox Toner which costs $41 for 6 fl oz. This toner, as far as toners go, is pretty good. Its main draws are Salicylic acid and Lactic acid which are great for dealing with acne. Next she uses theSKIN GRAMMAR - Super Good Repair Essence which costs $38 for 5.7 fl oz. This essence has Nicinamide and glycerin, as well as a ton of ceramides. Unfortunately it has orange peel oil. Citrus oils a extracts are extremely irritating to the skin because they are acidic, so I have to say no to this essence. Next she uses the RENÉE ROULEAU - Vitamin C&E Treatment which costs $69 for 1 fl oz. It has glycerin, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C, but again it has citrus oils and extracts which make this another no for me. Then to moisturize she goes in with the#Dr. zenovia - Peptide + Ceramide Moisturizer[products]#[FourStars] which costs $79 for 1.7 fl oz. This moisturizer has ceramides and glycerin. Finally she goes in with theLA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Anti-shine Dry Touch Facial Sunscreen SPF50+ which I couldn’t find the price for. It’s a really good basic sunscreen. So that’s @geralorentas routine. For her I would recommend getting rid of the essence and the treatment, but otherwise the products seem great! Moving on to @robynkenner. She starts with a double cleanse, and we’ll talk in a minute about what she’s doing wrong. She starts with the The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser which costs $7.90 for 1 fl oz. The main ingredients in this are squalane and glycerin. A lot of people complain that this cleanser is so gentle is barely cleans, but it seems to work for @robynkenner. Then she uses theMurad - Clarifying Cleanser which costs $32 for 6.75 fl oz. The main draw for this product is Salicylic acid, but again it’s a no because of citrus oils and extracts as well as fragrance. Now I mentioned that she’s double cleansing wrong. Double cleansing isn’t just using 2 cleansers, it’s specifically using an oil based cleanser and then a water based cleanser. (Check out my post on double cleansing for more information) In this case, @robynkenner is using 2 water based cleansers which can be stripping to the skin, and isn’t considered double cleansing. She mentioned she started doing this because her skin didn’t feel clean with just the first cleanse, and I think this might be because the Squalane Cleanser is too gentle. Next she uses theNeutrogena - Hydro Boost Eye Gel-Cream which costs $25 for .5 fl oz. First off, eye cream should be at the end of a routine. The eye cream itself is great though. Next she usesThe Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution which costs $8.70 for 8 fl oz. I talked about this product in pt. 1, but in short it’s really good. And finally she uses the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream which costs $36 for 6 fl oz. This is a nice super thick basic moisturizer. So in conclusion @robynkenner, I’d try to find a new cleanser, then just add your eye cream after moisturizer instead of early in the routine. That’s all for pt. 3! Please cheer for this post if you liked it, comment below your favorite cleansers to help out @robynkenner, and follow me to join the family and for similar content. -Mae

January’s Empties
As 2021 gets started, I wanted to dig into what I’m rebuying and what I’m ditching with the dumpster fire of 2020. DERMA•E - Scalp Relief Conditioner NOT A REBUY While I appreciated the more neutral scent and formulation of these products, I found that this conditioner didn’t provide enough moisture. My hair was feeling a little straw like. DERMA•E - Scalp Relief Shampoo NOT A REBUY I liked the shampoo more than the conditioner since it gave you that cooling feeling. It didn’t exacerbate my dry scalp or cause more dandruff for my bf (he gets eczema on his scalp and major flake), however it made my hair a little squeaky and messed with my natural wave texture. PACIfICA - Kale Luxe Oil-Free Multi Cream NOT A REBUY I’ve said my opinions on this one in a previous post, but it wasn’t my favorite moisturizer. The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution REBUY This is the only toner I’ll be using for the foreseeable future. It definitely helps clear up acne and scarring. *chefs kiss* DR. BRONNER'S - Peppermint Organic Lip Balm REBUY I like this lip balm a lot. It’s not very occlusive and includes a lot of nourishing oils. It’s good for every day and I’ll definitely get another.

getting off makeup and clear skin with rosacea!
okay... so I know I've posted this before, and Cherie is (devastatingly) closing down, but I thought I'd share one last post. This really works. one is a prescription and there are a couple items missing, so I'll add them to the pictures. Here is the order they say to put on skincare (as depicted) 1) makeup remover/wash (I use Queen Helene cold cream that I SWEAR by, sometimes BURT’S BEES - BURT‘S BEES Sensitive Facial Cleanser ) 2) Facewash/second face wash (I use DERMA•E - Sensitive Skin Cleanser and Joeseph anti Acne soap 10% sulfur) 3) Toner (I use THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Toner ) 4) Serums (I use a few... my prescription Amzeeq, mostly The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% , and DERMA•E - Blue Light Shield Concentrated Serum ) 5) Spot Treatments (Murad - Invisiscar Resurfacing Treatment , tea tree oil when needed) 6) Eye Cream (not pictured - DERMA•E - Firming DMAE Eye Lift Cream ) 7) Moisturizer (2 different kinds depending on how dry I am- pictured: Alba Botanica Aloe Green tea moisturizer, not pictured: skinfix - Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream ) 8) Retinol: Now, because I have rosacea, I use a retinol alternative. The best one for sensitive skin I found is The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion use at night only) 9) Face Oil: HEAR ME OUT: If you have oily skin, it's not the WORST thing to use an oil. As a matter of fact, it may work well. BEST ONE BY FAR IS ROSEHIP OIL. I can't tell you how amazing it is The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil , and JOSIE MARAN - Pure Argan Milk Intensive Hydrating Treatment during the day) wear sunscreen during the day, and put it in place of retinol. I use Glossier. - Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen it's a great light moisturizer, too. And at night in the winter if it's super dry, I'll put petroleum jelly around the corners of my eyes and lips. The results don't lie, Cherie babes (: comment below I'd you know of a better eye cream.

Update: my acne has reduced A LOT
I’ve been a bit MIA since my last post but here is the progress of my acne. If I were to pinpoint the main reasons why, then it’s these reasons: What I did wrong: - experimenting and using alot of different products. I was in a phase where I loved trying new products and my skin did not like that I was switching products all the time. - I did not spot test new products - overloaded my skin with many products. I don’t know who needs to hear this but a 10 step routine is NOT for acne prone skin. - drank little water each day - used harsh products without re-balancing my skin with soothing products - masked almost everyday What I did to improve it: - reduce the number of products going on my skin. I now use only a max of 3 products in the morning and 5 products at night. - drank 2 litres of water every day - used a soothing pH-balanced toner - used a GENTLE chemical exfoliant - used retinol regularly - masked only every 2-3 days Some products I use in my daily routine that really helped my skin: PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator as an all-over exfoliant PAULA'S CHOICE - BHA 9 Treatment as a spot treatment The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% to fade acne scars Products that I use every 2-3 days that helped my skin: AZCLEAR - Medicated Lotion (mixed with Niacinamide) to fade acne scars DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream to bring out new baby skin ANDALOU NATURALS - CannaCell Glow Mask as a gentle exfoliating mask If you are going through something similar just know to take it SLOWLY. The skin is going through trauma and it is not an overnight success. If you have any questions I’m happy to answer.

1. BLUME - Meltdown Oil for Acne-Prone Skin wow. Wow. Wow. She’s great. I use this product as a spot treatment directly on active spots. Also on budding cystic acne she breaks it down pretty quickly (1-3days it’s GONE). I’ve seen others mix in with moisturizer - my skin needs to soak this product in separately in order to actually gain the benefits of a moisturizer afterwards. I use this twice ++++ daily and I have NOT burned/over dried. Highly suggest if you have acne prone skin/combo/mild cystic acne like myself. The scent/colour is purely a result of the natural oils inside* 2. The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% THE BEST VIT C serum I have tried. I mix this in with a moisturizer in the morning/evening and damn what a glow getter. I’m on my second lil bottle and will continue to repurchase as not only the price point (which is a bargain at $10) but the very real benefits are astounding. Again, doesn’t dry me out. Helps immensely with uneven skin tone, REDNESS, dark spots/lifting acne scars. You will see results over time, remember exfoliating serums/products take weeks!! Just a few drops will do!! 3. The Ordinary - Retinol 0.2% in Squalane This was my first time introducing a retinol to my regime (hence the very low %, if you’re beginning I suggest this). A game changer. As I’ve reached a point with my acne where I feel it’s relatively under control (knock on wood) I felt I could begin a retinol and not fear the wrath of burnt broken skin. I have deep set wrinkles on my forehead/crows feet (thank u astigmatism) and use this product 1-2 times a week exclusively at NIGHT depending on how my acne is doing. My face does have a slight warmth to it directly after use but I promise it is not a slow burning of your skin. It is simply the retinol doing its job and driving blood to the surface for collagen production/cell turnover. This is another product where results take weeks to become visible but like anything skincare related, it takes its sweet time. These are my HOLY GRAIL products. My skin simply cannot survive without them. I hope some of the info was helpful/informative!!!

For clear skin even if you’re sensitive!
For clear skin even if you’re sensitive!
a.My skin type is combination, often with hormonal acne during parts of the month. I generally have pretty balanced skin! b.This product includes 10% Lactic Acid – which is an AHA exfoliator that gently penetrates the skin to clean out pores and renew skin. Lactic acid is one of the gentlest acids so it’s great for beginners or anyone who has more sensitive or reactive skin. This serum also includes hyaluronic acid to deeply hydrate the skin and provide extra moisture as the Lactic acid exfoliates. c.The texture can tend to pill up a little which is one of the few cons of this product. It has a thick viscous feeling on the skin, but most of the time I find it sinks in well as long as you use the appropriate amount. The packaging is a classic Ordinary glass bottle, which makes it recyclable. The size of the product is also great and has lasted me a long time since you only need a few drops for full effectiveness. d.I use this product 2-3 times a week – first I wash my face, then apply toner and let it absorb completely. After that, I take a few drops of the acid into my palms and gently tap it into my skin until it’s completely absorbed. After that, I follow with a hydrating moisturizer and oil! In the morning, I’m super diligent about applying SPF! My skin overall really loves lactic acid so with consistent usage, I get less breakouts, more even skin, and generally a more even texture with reduced forehead bumps! e.I would 100% recommend this product to a friend, and honestly give it 5 stars! the only thing that I don’t love is that the formula can be a bit tacky sometimes depending on the toner that I apply underneath it, but it’s just so affordable and effective that I’m willing to overlook that! The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA #cheriecreator

My Holy Grail for Adult & Hormonal Acne
My Holy Grail for Adult & Hormonal Acne
I’m super excited to start recording and sharing my skin care journey. I’ve loved skincare since my teens and have always enjoyed trying new products, but being acne prone and having sensitive skin, trying new stuff hasn’t always been super thrilling! Now that I’m learning more about some great brands (that sadly weren’t around when I was a teen) I’m excited to branch out and try some more that will work for my skin. I have combination and sensitive skin that really changes with the weather. It’s really dry where I live, so even though my skin is prone to oiliness, it often has dry patches and even damage from the dry, winter air. One problem I’ve been having for the past year or two is adult hormonal acne around my jawline. Spot treatments were effective for pimples with a head, but I could not get rid of the bumps that started forming under my skin along my jaw. Not only were they not going away, but more were appearing. Then came The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I’m not going to lie, I didn’t understand how to use this at first. I thought it was for pimples and it would get rid of my breakouts. I tried it a couple times and felt like it didn’t do anything and there it sat on my shelf for months. But one day, when I was at a total loss with these bumps under my skin, I decided to spread some of this serum all over my jawline before bed. The next morning, 75% of the bumps were gone! My skin was so irritated and it felt like this product was some magic eraser for this freaked out areas of my skin. I’ve since learned a bit more about what Niacinimide and Zinc is supposed to do — like calming irritation and reducing dark spots — and I am totally in love with this product. I now use this product AM and PM under my moisturizer, focusing on areas that have more irritation and dark red areas leftover from pimples. I’m interested in trying other Niacinimide serums, like the one from The Inkey List, but it’s likely I will keep buying this great product for a long time.

Azelaic Acid: You Need This In Your Routine
Azelaic Acid: You Need This In Your Routine
Azelaic acid is amazing. It occurs naturally on the skin and is produced by grains in labs, holding anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties rather unique to such a gentle, multifaceted antioxidant. It helps with skin texture, redness, uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, rosacea, and even minimizes the look of active breakouts. All of the pictured products are free of fragrance, alcohol, and essential oils. facetheory - PoreBright Serum N10 ($19 per 30mL) features star ingredients like 10% azelaic acid, 10% niacinamide, salicylic acid (<2%), aloe, and sodium hyaluronate to calm skin while addressing issues like congested pores, uneven tone, acne, oily skin... it’s a versatile serum that I enjoyed. The serum is light and moisturizing, with good spreadability. This is the gentlest of the three in my experience. PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster ($36 per 30 mL) is a game-changer. I enjoyed FaceTheory N10, but something about PC’s formulation transformed my acne experience. 10% Azelaic acid, salicylic acid (<2%), licorice root extract, allantoin, and a variety of humectants + emollients come together in this light gel-cream to give significant texture-smoothing, tone-correcting, acne-preventing results. Whenever I apply this in the AM (which it is gentle enough to do), my blemishes are reduced remarkably by the evening. I also have seen such significant fading of my acne scars that I already got a back-up! Its cream formula allows for use as a spot treatment if you prefer that. This is my favourite of the three pictured. The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% ($7.90 per 30mL) is a simple formula, with 10% Azelaic acid and vitamin e as the star ingredients in a variety of silicones and emollients. I noticed significant hyperpigmentation reduction with this cream, but I cannot stand the silicone texture. It has a strange grit to it, no matter how much I shake up the bottle. I also think my skin dislikes heavy silicones, as I experienced increased breakouts when using this, despite the wonderful brightening and calming properties it has. Not sure I’d recommend this unless your skin handles silicone well. The matte finish would probably be enjoyed by oily skin types.

It helps with a lot more there is too many to name How it works with different skin concerns: •Barrier boosting : increases ceramide and free fatty acid levels in the stratum corneum • Anti-acne: reduces sebum production and acts as a anti inflammatory agent • Hyperpigmentation: inhibits melanosome transfer from melanocytes to keratinocytes. Okay so first I wanted to explain the type of skin I have which is very sensitive skin. I have ezcema but I get oily in my t-zone. People say it’s better if you are sensitive to not use this product. Because it will irritate the skin. Been told It’s more efficient for combo or oily skin. Well it was hard for me to find a product since (( I have sensitive skin ))to get rid of my acne. So I decided to buy it and I have watched many people videos on YouTube but some don’t explain how to use these products throughly. I had to do some real research on how to use it. What products to use with it , to leave it on or wash off, do I use before or after? Those are the concerns I had that many people didn’t talk about but they did explain how many times out of the week and the benefits you gain from using it. I wanted to know the routine. So for those who have sensitive skin I would try it cause it may work for you. But I used all three product on separate days, mainly at night. I waited each 24 hours to see if I got a reaction. I put it small amount on my jaw line. So make sure you do that just to be cautious to your pretty face. There is a disclaimer YOUR SKIN WILL BE DRIED IF YOU DON’T USE A THICK MOSITURIZER . This is my routine for Tuesday and Thursday only at night : I washed my face with a cleanser, toner then I applied 4 drops of the aha peel leave for 5 minute and wash it off. Do not rub it when applying the aha . Just apply it with light stokes. After i put niacinamide over the aha peel add moisturizer and that is it. ( I use niacinamide 5 days out of the week) Saturday: Cleanser, toner, lactic acid, niacinamide and moisturizer. That’s it ! This is my 2nd week using the products and I see a huge difference! Thank you for reading my ted talk !
