This year I didn’t dress up as anything. BUT. I had a lot of fun doing makeup on my best friend who’s going to dress up as a Hippie! I love the blue under eye for this look. It really pulls everything together! Close ups are in photo 2 & 3! Photos were taken outside in natural light along with a ring light with my phone 😊 For her face and skin, she has combination skin with an oily T-Zone. The other areas of her face are dry. The foundation we used is a medium coverage and is great for those who don’t have apparent redness on the face. For the eyeshadow I used: VISEART - Grande Pro 3
For accessories: KINNO - Imitation Gold Leaf Schabin Flakes
And Dollar Store Stickers For the face: N°7 - Stay Perfect Foundation SPF 15
and a mixture of color that I used to adjust to her skin color WAYNE GOSS - The Weightless Veil Blush Palette
in coral rose NYX - Can't Stop Won't Stop Setting Powder
clé de peau BEAUTÉ - clé de peau BEAUTÉ Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 25
PEACH & LILY - Skin Shield Blurring Primer

Sorbet Eyeshadow + Perky Natural Mascara Tips 😃
I never knew I would love a minty green with an almost creamy orange shade! This look was so fun to do because I got to test and challenge my eyeshadow mixing capabilities! Not all shades mix well together, so this turned out awesome! I used VISEART - Grande Pro 3 for this look! Also, for those of you who have thin straight lashes, I highly recommended using Japanese based mascara brands for that perfect your lash-but-better look! I did use one called DUP Fiber Mascara for this photo. Japanese mascaras are typically known for having two types of formulations- “tubing” and “non-tubing” mascaras. Tubing-type formulations are great because it automatically provides a water/sebum resistant barrier around your lashes. This formulation makes sense for the marketed demographics, because in Japan the weather is more moist/humid. Therefore, for a formula to be successful, it has to withstand the weather conditions where the target market lies. Yay for no smudging/flaking! It’s a lightweight formula which is perfect for keeping those stubborn, straight lashes up and perky! Every time I use it, I don’t end up with a clumpy mess and my lashes aren’t brittle and dry from prolonged use! I’ve tested it out for 3+ months and have no complaints so far!

Feeling like a Euphoric Hippie 😆 + Tips
It took me....2 hours to come up with something and this was the result! 😆 I wanted to go for something soft, charming, but still has that pop of something. I love how the white eye show pops off this cool toned, purple-brown. Halloween is around the corner, so I thought it would be a great idea to give you all a couple tips if you want to incorporate something similar into your look. Here are a couple tips on gluing on those gold flecks! 1. LAAAAASH GLUE This is literally the EASIEST thing You could use for your application. I find lash glue much better on the skin for these guys than just regular Elmer’s glue/glue sticks. Gold flecks are typically very flimsy and it can be difficult to really get them to stay on your face. Take your lash glue and apply a needle-sized amount to your face. Take a tweezer and break up a couple gold flecks into various sized pieces. Proceed to use your tweezer to place it on top of the spot you glued. Be gentle with your application. The gold flecks are really fragile! 2. Watch Your Placement With larger, shinier particles, they’ll attract the attention of the eye to that area. Think of using these guys as you would with regular highlighter. The more you put in one area, the more your eye will gravitate towards looking at that spot. I placed the gold flecks around my eye area and super close to my nose, because it’ll take away the natural contours of my nose. In other words, you’re playing with shadows and lights when using gold flecks, crystals, etc. 3. Wash it all off with an Oil/Balm Based Makeup Remover. Once those gold flecks are on with some lash glue...THEY LAST FOREVER throughout the day. Use an oil based cleanser to remove everything and you should be fine. I use TATCHA - Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser For this look I used: ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Norvina Eyeshadow Palette KINNO - Imitation Gold Leaf Schabin Flakes LASHIFY - AMPLIFY GOSSAMER LASHES C10 & C8 WAYNE GOSS - The Weightless Veil Blush Palette in Coral Rose 3CE - Velvet Lip Tint

Non-Texturizing Primer for Acne & Sensitive Skin
YAS! Finally! A primer I can actually use on my face without worrying about major breakouts, dryness, or added texture! Those who have larger pores this ones for you too! 😃😃 I didn’t want to rave or get happy about a product without using it for awhile and this is especially true of primers. Many primers on the market add to the creation of major breakouts, feel too heavy/sticky, enhance my skin texture, smell, or pill. I have been officially using this product for about a month EVERY time I use foundation and I can definitely say this is a winner! In the first photo you’ll see the texture of the PEACH & LILY - Skin Shield Blurring Primer and the after photo is with both foundation and primer on. I used IPSA’s Retexturizing Foundation for this photo. Since trying for a month, I have not experienced any major breakouts. Maybe one pimple here or there. It’s a definite upgrade from having your ENTIRE chin/jawline area breakout all at once every time I use a different primer with foundation. The consistency of the primer is very light and watery. According to Peach and Lily, it is made to protect against pollution, blue light, toxins, makeup, etc. This formula has ZERO silicones! Some silicones can clog your skin, causing breakouts. I’ve noticed that as it dries, it doesn’t feel like your skin gets forcefully tightened and dry. The formula is hydrating and dries like a mist- undetected and in a subtle manner. It adds a natural, second-skin glow to your foundation that you can see in the after photo. If your foundation is matte and you want it to stay that way, this formula shouldn’t drastically alter your foundation’s finish. Regardless it will help promote the longevity of your makeup. Tips for applying: You only need a small amount per facial part(forehead, cheeks, chin, nose). The amount I placed in the photo is literally the same amount I place on these areas of the face. Rub it in with clean hands after applying your skincare routine! For those of you who have slightly large pores, good news! I was happy to see this product not further increase my pore size! It actually minimized them. During the times where my acne is healing and there are dry patches, it actually helped moisturize the areas and didn’t increase texture(no extra bumps/creases showed). My foundation did last me over 8 hours when using this primer! I highly recommend this product, especially for those of you who have dry, acne-prone, and sensitive skin. If you have oily skin, try using this product with a bit of powder before applying your foundation to promote longevity. Happy Priming!

How to Get More Use Out of Your Bright Colors💕
HELLOOOOOOO! I had a much needed mini break yesterday so there was no post BUT TODAY... I wanted to share some awesome tips since for most of us it’s fall/winter season and many of our bright colors are hibernating until spring! If you’re a person who typically says no to bright pinks, oranges, neon greens, etc. in the fall/winter season or don’t know what to do with them, here’s how you can utilize those colors to benefit your look/wardrobe! I set an example in this photograph of a very wearable but bright makeup look. Here’s how I got it to look “put together” without needed to add a boatload of other colors or create a high contrast. By exploring these techniques you can get a softer look but still stay in the same color spectrum 1. Play with the tones of the shade and apply it to different areas of the face! It can be difficult to use multiple shades of the same color spectrum on the face because things can turn messy/muddy very quickly. You might even look sunburnt if you’re using pinks. This can be due to the fact that some colors have the same undertone that creates the final product. Your skintone also plays a role in how the final results will look. The easiest thing you can do is play with these undertones. Have some fun with shades that can be cool or warm in undertone. You can balance out the face by having some cool tones in certain areas and warm in others. This way you won’t look “sickly”, “crazy”, or sunburnt” at the end of everything. In photo 2, you can see towards my eye area that it’s slightly “warmer” than the makeup on the rest of my face, specifically my upper lid area. The shade I created was a mixture of the color “Wild” and “Delicate” from Violet Voss - Sakura Blossom Eyeshadow and Pressed Pigment Palette , which are both warm in color/undertone. Next, I added a light cool-toned pink on my lower lid. I wanted the eyes and cheeks to capture most of the attention. Therefore, adding the cool-toned pink helped add dimension without taking away the focal points of the upper lid and cheeks. The idea is to have a sense of balance. 2. Play with Textures! If you have a ton of shades that have bright colored sparkles/shimmers and don’t know what to do with them, use them here! Imagine this being your wardrobe. You can enhance certain patterns in a blouse or t shirt with another pattern. This concept is the same for eyeshadows/face makeup. The micro-particles can really rejuvenate your makeup and enhance the look to create dimension. Imagine have a full face of the same color of bright matte pink. There might not be that UMPH you see in your typical editorials/makeup photos. By adding some highlights and other textures, it will give your eyes something to look at! Use shimmers that may have a similar color profile if you want a unified look. Other Products Used: WAYNE GOSS - The Weightless Veil Blush Palette 3CE - Velvet Lip Tint Happy Experimenting!

Soft Glam with Anastasia Beverly Hills 😍
I thought I would share a clear photo of what is my Go-to routine for daily makeup 😊 Believe it or not, I actually prefer not to put on foundation if I’m out and about. I LOVE just going out with a little concealer, some lashes, eyeshadow, and lipstick. I don’t put on foundation because love my cheeks because they’re naturally rosy. I also really appreciate the dimensions of my face. I thought I would show this photo because 1. I love how my eyeshadow looks. It’s hard to sometimes get my camera to show the eyeshadow colors for what they truly are. This eyelook is amazingly soft and wearable with some awesome dimension. 2. I want to normalize “nice photos with blemishes”. It never really occurred to me that some people really get down on themselves when they take a good photo and become discouraged when they see one or two blemishes. I feel like if I can show that I can embrace mine, it can help others embrace theirs 😊 For this look I used: ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette 3CE - Velvet Lip Tint clé de peau BEAUTÉ - clé de peau BEAUTÉ Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 25

Tips For Flawless Matte Foundation on Dry Skin!
BAM! OMG. YOU GUYS. This has been THE BEST makeup I have done on my face and it actually feels good to have on! I don’t feel cakey and I look good in EVERY 👏 TYPE 👏 OF 👏 LIGHT! The first photo is of my skin up close and personal. The second is how it looks far away! Here are some tips to get a comfortable matte finish on dry skin! I usually don’t fully go crazy over products but THESE ARE BOMB. 1. Get a setting powder that’s hydrating and use a BEAUTY BLENDER to blend the product in. Let’s be real. I hate baking and always thought a brush would be better at applying powder. A brush is good, but a dry beauty blender is the S**T! When I switched over to this technique after watching Wayne Goss’s video on flawless foundation, my contour and blush were game changing. They didn’t disappear after 30 minutes from the time of application and it set my foundation to a wearable finish. The key is to not slap on a ton of setting powder and to use what you got before dipping in for more product(thanks Wayne!). Even though my other products were powder, nothing built up! Woot! I used BECCA - Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder 2. Concealer first, then foundation! I got into the habit of putting on concealer first before my foundation. I used a full coverage creamy concealer and blended it out to later set with setting spray before adding my foundation. This way, my concealer does the bulk of the work in covering my blemishes and my foundation works on providing even skin tone to the rest of my face. The setting spray allows the concealer to not move around once it’s time to put on foundation. By blending your foundation into your concealer, it allows you to have that second-skin finish without harsh lines. As usual, I went with clé de peau BEAUTÉ - clé de peau BEAUTÉ Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 25 in shade Almond And this is my favorite foundation that’s an EXACT MATCH for my skin!! I got shade 102 ÍPSA - Retexturizing Foundation 2018 Autumn New Item 3. Take your time blending! This is also a tip from Wayne Goss. Most of us spend about 2-3 minutes blending. I personally spend 3-5 minutes blending foundation into the skin and ensure I use every last drop of foundation from my sponge onto my face before going in for more. This way, you won’t put too much on the face, which would then cause creasing/caking. Also if you focus majority of the foundation on “thicker” areas of the skin (I.e jawline)and blending it upwards towards “thinner” areas of the skin(I.e eyes), you’ll less likely feel like your skin look flat and one dimensional. Happy Blending! ❤️

MILK FLEX IS THAT B
MILK FLEX IS THAT B
basically a full face of milk makeup 😇 honest review below! Milk MAKEUP - Flex Foundation Stick Was not a love at first use, but now this is my go to! It really came down to how I was applying this foundation stick. I use the cream foundation brush from the milk x Sephora set. I’m just gonna day, YA NEED IT. + easy application ( brush, fingers, sponge ) + medium buildable coverage; little goes a long way + natural finish + has a smoothing and blur effect on skin + great for contour/highlight + sleek, sturdy and portable packaging - tacky finish without being set; I have to set this with a powder or my hair will literally stick to my face. Milk MAKEUP - Flex Concealer Bought this on a whim! I had seen a lot of people use it and even used it often on clients when I worked at Sephora, but never tried it on myself at that time. Now that I have it and use it, I absolutely LOVE IT! + great coverage; natural and buildable + minimal to no creasing + nice applicator + beautiful for under eye or highlighting Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder I’ve been using this powder since it’s launch day! My absolute favorite! So much product. It lasts forever.. I mean almost lol + translucent shades; light - *medium*- deep + nice consistency and texture + no cake face! + keeps any glow you’ve applied prior. Not too matte. + blur and smoothing effect + great packaging with a snap lid + screw on lid + great for travel + good for baking and lightly setting the face - sponge it comes with is “meh” - if you apply too much you will be VERY matte Milk MAKEUP - Flex Highlighter I’m honestly not big on highlighters, but wow I love this one! I thought it would be too heavy and blinding, but it is very buildable. I’m wearing the shade BLITZED + sleek and sturdy packaging; perfect compact mirror + nice color range + buildable! Not too heavy unless you want it to be! + soft and subtle glow + creamy and soft texture + minimal pan fallout AND that’s my honest review for these milk products!

Is Foundcealer really full coverage? 🤔
Is Foundcealer really full coverage? 🤔
tarte - Babassu Foundcealer Skincare Foundation SPF 20 I got this shade at Sephora without being able to try it on because of the covid rules. I use a beauty blender to apply it on. To be honest it is a little drying and I have to make sure to moisturize really well or else it kinda flakes off. It’s nearly full coverage. In certain lighting I can still see the redness on my cheeks but it is difficult to find a full coverage foundation. This was my first tarte purchase and I may try other ones in the future. I do think it matched my skin tone well so long as I blend sufficiently. It’s not my favorite foundation but it does do the job. It doesn’t stay very well on my face even with primer and setting powder&spray. I notice it gets a little patchy and doesn’t do well with sweat especially on long days. The last pic is freshly applied and in good lighting but regularly it doesn’t look so even. I do like that is has 20spf which is nice.

MAC Full Coverage Foundation Review!!
MAC Full Coverage Foundation Review!!
The MAC - Full Coverage Foundation is definitely not a super popular foundation. However I got this a couple of weeks ago and I did an all day wear test today. First impressions: While you can build this up, it is so easy to sheer out and it looks so natural if I use a beauty blender just to blend out where I need coverage. It is so skin like that I can use this just where I need it, it doesn’t look weird and patchy like some full coverage foundations when only applied in certain areas. I tried it with a brush which does pack on the product and it does look a bit cakey that way. DISCLAIMER: This does NOT work with the Milk Makeup Hydrogrip primer. It does not stick at all and when I used this I had to remove everything. I suggest using no primer at all, just a good moisturizer. Wear: This lasts a really long time on the skin. It lasts through sweat and humidity, but I have used this without setting powder which is fabulous-this foundation does not have to be set with powder- but it won’t last quite as well. I don’t experience any wearing off when I put on a mask. I wear NC15 because I am quite fair, but I do want to get a deeper color to use as a contour shade. Final thoughts: This is a great product! I would describe it as more of a “my face but flawless” look because it is so skin-like. Definitely not the Instagram glam vibe, but I prefer my skin to still look like skin. However, if you have dry skin consider not setting with powder. My skin has been incredibly dry these past few days and if I set with powder it does crack and make my skin quite flakey. This is definitely a new favorite foundation!
