Non-Texturizing Primer for Acne & Sensitive Skin

YAS! Finally! A primer I can actually use on my face without worrying about major breakouts, dryness, or added texture! Those who have larger pores this ones for you too! 😃😃 I didn’t want to rave or get happy about a product without using it for awhile and this is especially true of primers. Many primers on the market add to the creation of major breakouts, feel too heavy/sticky, enhance my skin texture, smell, or pill. I have been officially using this product for about a month EVERY time I use foundation and I can definitely say this is a winner! In the first photo you’ll see the texture of the PEACH & LILY - Skin Shield Blurring Primer
and the after photo is with both foundation and primer on. I used IPSA’s Retexturizing Foundation for this photo. Since trying for a month, I have not experienced any major breakouts. Maybe one pimple here or there. It’s a definite upgrade from having your ENTIRE chin/jawline area breakout all at once every time I use a different primer with foundation. The consistency of the primer is very light and watery. According to Peach and Lily, it is made to protect against pollution, blue light, toxins, makeup, etc. This formula has ZERO silicones! Some silicones can clog your skin, causing breakouts. I’ve noticed that as it dries, it doesn’t feel like your skin gets forcefully tightened and dry. The formula is hydrating and dries like a mist- undetected and in a subtle manner. It adds a natural, second-skin glow to your foundation that you can see in the after photo. If your foundation is matte and you want it to stay that way, this formula shouldn’t drastically alter your foundation’s finish. Regardless it will help promote the longevity of your makeup. Tips for applying: You only need a small amount per facial part(forehead, cheeks, chin, nose). The amount I placed in the photo is literally the same amount I place on these areas of the face. Rub it in with clean hands after applying your skincare routine! For those of you who have slightly large pores, good news! I was happy to see this product not further increase my pore size! It actually minimized them. During the times where my acne is healing and there are dry patches, it actually helped moisturize the areas and didn’t increase texture(no extra bumps/creases showed). My foundation did last me over 8 hours when using this primer! I highly recommend this product, especially for those of you who have dry, acne-prone, and sensitive skin. If you have oily skin, try using this product with a bit of powder before applying your foundation to promote longevity. Happy Priming!

Covermark Essence Foundation Color: BO00 BO10 Coverage: Medium to High This Japanese brand foundation is my everyday use foundation and I've finished four bottles of it. I'm using the 5th bottle now. The texture is creamy and easy to apply evenly no matter you use a foundation brush or makeup sponge. It provides excellent coverage of pores, redness, and acne. It can last all day long and won't cause acne problems. I recommend it to all my friends who have an acne problem; they all fell in love with this foundation. {What are the claims?} Milk Makeup HydroGrip face primer is a hydrating, makeup gripping primer formulated with hemp-derived cannabis seed extract & blue algae extract for all day hydration & hold. It also has aloe in it for soothing the skin. It is formulated for all skin tones & types. {Texture/Consistency?} it is a very sticky gel formula, that defiantly stays sticky on my face IMO. The consistency is medium, it isn’t lightweight but isn’t heavy. {My thoughts?} I got this in my Sephora Play box in the summer and I tried it out a couple times this fall/ winter and it’s finally empty. I didn’t pay much for this since it came with other sample sizes but it each time I used this my foundation & concealers got patchy and didn’t look smooth or flawless ! I was super bummed because I’ve seen sooo many positive reviews on YouTube and Instagram, but it didn’t work for my dry skin! I didn’t like it but it didn’t break me out which I did appreciate. I would recommend if you have maybe combination or oily skin it might work! I felt it wasn’t hydrating enough, and it was too sticky. It is a fair price though for a face primer, full size is $30 for 1.52oz, and the packing is pretty cool! Milk MAKEUP - Hydro Grip Primer

💕What are the claims? Pro Filtr primer is a lightweight, hydrating, makeup primer for normal to dry skin types, that nurtures, keeps skin comfortable all day, & extends foundation wear. 💕How to use? Apply 1-2 & start at the center of your face & work outwards. 💕Key Ingredients; grape seed oil & sodium hyaluronate, to hydrate the skin. 💕My thoughts? I got this as a gift in November & it has been awesome! It works perfect for my dry skin & doesn’t break me out! The texture is super smooth & almost oil like, but doesn’t leave my skin feeling oily. I love the packaging, it’s a frosted glass nude bottle and it doesn’t really smell like anything in my opinion! Perfect for my sensitive skin-acne prone skin, this doesnt break me out anymore. 💕Price? It is $32.00 for 1oz of primer. I wouldn’t repurchase only for the fact that I prefer my $6 elf poreless putty! But if you love makeup & Fenty, then go for it! FENTY BEAUTY - Pro Filt'r Hydrating Primer

DIOR made me do it!! THOUGHTS?
DIOR made me do it!! THOUGHTS?
After buying this and trying it, let me just say I’m not that impressed by it, needlessly to say. I’m out $40 and suck with a crappy foundation. [Skin Background] I have oily skin and find my skin very oily after an hour using a normal matte foundation. I have large pores. [Makeup Preference] I use a pore primer before my foundation. Even though I have oily skin, I love my skin to look glowy (and not from my skin oils) I like a great breathable matte foundation and a NATURAL highlight. [Review] My skin isn’t perfect but when I wear a full coverage foundation I want it to cover my sins! Haha. Not to mention, not smell like perfume the whole day....I really tried to like this product, I wore it twice and each time I found my face SO dry.....I did no different with my makeup routine or changed my products. I applied my usual primer, concealer, and powder. I went and worked a five hour shift (yesterday) and as much as I LOVE a long lasting foundation, I want it to be breathable. I found it reflecting areas on my face that were drier. This definitely made it to my DO NOT use list. After five hours I could still smell my foundation, so that was another DO NOT use....What I did love about this foundation was that it was REALLY lightweight and had great coverage! **If you have sensitive skin, DO NOT use this product. It may become irritated due to fragrance. **

medicube - Red Concealer This Red Concealer from Medicube is one of the best Acne-friendly makeup products. They are made for sensitive & acne prone skin. I like that it doesn’t block pore and it is in sanitary tube. It has such a good coverage and I use it every time I do my makeup. It is Non comedogenic so it’s acne friendly! I have combination acne prone skin and I have hard time finding concealer that doesn’t cause another blemishes. This concealer never caused breakouts or made me itch (allergic reaction)! This is my Holy grail concealer💕 Texture is pretty thick and it covers all redness! I highly recommend this concealer to acne prone skin.

Worth it? CC cream for dry, acne prone skin❣️
Worth it? CC cream for dry, acne prone skin❣️
If you have acne and have tried numerous acne products, you know that acne products are usually drying! I used to have SUPER oily skin, but after accutane, my skin is now dry/combo. Right now my skin is calmer and stopped flaking due to my new skincare routine, but before, my skin was peeling...BAD! But I still had acne, so I wanted to cover it up! But I’d put foundation, CC creams, BB creams, or even just tinted hydrators on my skin and it’d clump up and peel off! Then, a couple of months ago (when my skin was still super dry) I saw the hey HONEY Trick And Treat CC Cream on Ulta and had to try it after seeing all the good reviews! While the product is not perfect, it definitely does the trick for me! (3rd pic is BEFORE the cream and 4th pic is AFTER) I usually use a hydrating primer, concealer, and a beauty blender to apply this cream, but today I just used the cream and my hand to show how the product looks on its own! Pros: doesn’t leave my skin dry but also doesn’t leave my skin feeling super oily either. It feels matte, yet I look dewy! easy to apply, use your hands or a sponge for light coverage and use a brush for more coverage has honey for hydration and propolis for anti-bacterial properties (so it doesn’t break me out!) as you can tell from my pictures, this does NOT offer full coverage! BUT it’s a CC cream, so it’s not supposed to! It does a good job of making my acne marks (PIE) less noticeable with a natural finish! it’s cruelty free!! Cons: only comes in 4 colors! That’s a huge downside for most people. Lucky for me, I have fair skin and the light blends in perfectly for me. I’d imagine you could mix a darker toner with some moisturizer to dilute the color if you want to custom make your own tone. the price tag is $38. For me, I don’t tend to spend more than $15 on cc or bb creams, but I feel as though this is worth it as you only need a little so it’ll last long. You can also get it from Ulta, which has sales and coupons a lot. you need setting powder if you want it to last all day. While it doesn’t look bad at the end of the day, you can see it settling into your skin a bit. Overall, I’d say this is a great CC cream! It does exactly what it says it will. Does it make my skin look flawless? No, but my skin still has a lot of acne marks, which are hard to cover, so I use concealer for that. If you want full coverage, go for a foundation. However, if you want a natural finish that won’t leave your skin dry and peeling or as oily as pizza, then go for this! It’s also great if you want to hide redness from acne without clogging your pores with foundation. I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
