A Satisfying Texture | Foundation for Dry Skin❤️

Look at this awesome close up of the AMOREPACIFIC - Color Control Cushion Compact Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 50
😍 I have this thing called Trypophobia (fear of small holes) but for some reason this close up just fascinates me. You can really see the luminescence of the foundation within the sponge! For those of you who aren’t familiar with CC formulas/cushion foundation, they are typically a smoother, more liquid-like formula than your average foundation that is made to even out skintone. Most true CC formulations focus more on skincare elements and a wee bit less on color/color ranges, especially those from Korean brands. Western brands definite amp up the diversity of their skintone range, as well as overall pigmentation in their formulas. This means you’ll find more full-coverage CC cream/foundation from “western” brands like IT Cosmetic’s it Cosmetics - it Cosmetics CC+ Cream SPF 50+
. (Not my favorite for dry skin. I felt like the Sahara Desert all over again when I used their formula 🙄) Therefore, it might be difficult to find a shade that fits you if you have a deeper skintone. Side note: I consider IT cosmetics to be a western brand because upon a bit of research, the company was bought by L’Oréal and the products are mostly manufactured in China. I love this foundation for super dry skin because of how moisturizing it is. It’s awesome for creating that second-skin finish with a natural, dewy glow. If you have light-medium with slight neutral-gold undertones and struggle with a bit of texture, this foundation line could work well for you! Every time I try something new or I’m stuck in a rut, I always go back to this foundation. I love the ease of use and blendability. The size is great for travel and I find that it doesn’t bother my dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin. You can get a medium to slightly buildable full coverage without “erasing” the dimension/shadows in your face. Even though it has SPF it doesn’t wash my face out completely and doesn’t create a white cast. If there is any, it’s only slightly noticeable. You would have to look reeeaaally close to see it. Layering on powder/cream products are a breeze.m I found the best way to use this product is with a slightly damp beauty blender. Start by placing a little bit onto the skin and then proceed to layer more as needed. There is something to be mindful of when you are using this product. If you live in a more humid/moist climate, I would add a little powder after your face primer and then proceed to add this foundation to help keep this in place throughout the day. You could also carry a powder puff with you throughout the day for touch-ups. Because the foundation has high moisture and provides a dewy finish, it can impact the longevity if you live in an moist/humid area 😊 Yay to a healthy glow! ❤️😄

Product Mentioned
AmorePacific Essential Creme Fluid, Dual Nourishing Lip Serum, and Color Control Cushion. First of all the moisturizer has been nothing but amazing, now I understand why my friends who have tried it rave so much about it! The texture is lightweight but definitely gives your skin an instant hydration which is perfect for the forever summer weather here in the Philippines. The lip serum is just an okay product for me, having tried the Henné one, I prefer that much more. This nourishes my lips but not for a long time as it claims. Lastly the cushion—I got the shade (208 Medium Yellow) which is a tad bit too dark on me, so I’m probably gonna be able to use this once I just got back from a beach trip or something. It’s weightless, has buildable coverage, and has SPF 50+ for that extra sun protection we all need. The only thing I don’t generally like about Amore Pacific products might be the fragrance, the one on the cushion lasts longer than I’d want it too so if that’s something you’re not into you might wanna keep it in mind! I have also been using these lip gems from henneorganics and I won’t keep it long—these are my new favorite lip products. The serum is encased in a glass bottle with 24K gold plated rollerball (yas luxury), keeping my lips smooth and nourished. The lip balm and mask on the other hand works amazingly together. When my lips are feeling extra dry I’d use the lavender mint exfoliator which smells fresh, and then follow up with their creamy lip balm that lasts a good while. Now I’m definitely curious about their lip mask and tinted balms since these products didn’t disappoint! Last but definitely not the least, one of my favorite candles as of the moment from homesick. Library—which reminds me of old leather and antique pages, just right up my bookworm alley. There’s also hints of sandalwood, vanilla, and amber to name a few. They have many more scents reminiscent of spaces, places, and memories so definitely check them out.

Always looking for the best SPF face products...and I may have found a new favorite! AmorePacific Color Control Cushion Compact and it’s the perfect 2 in 1 product for me! It’s an SPF 50 with active ingredients of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. The coverage is a light/medium coverage which is perfect for everyday. It gives a nice even glow and great sun protection. You can swipe to the end to see the coverage in natural lighting.

Updated Foundation Collection 🌟
Yes I have a problem lol I just love trying new face formulas. My favorite here is still the Touch In Sol Advanced Real Moisture Foundation in shade 21. It’s the most skin-like of all of them so far and has great durability. It’s also one of the cheaper ones at only $18 on amazon 😀 I do like the way the ILIA serum lays down, but my god does it have a strong paint smell 😑 once it goes away it’s fine, but the first few minutes are rather rough as I’m sensitive to bad smells. Ah, the things we do for beauty 🤷‍♀️ Happy Sunday! 🍁 Don’t forget to hydrate and check your WiFi 😘

My Morning Routine to Conquer the Day!
Having a good morning can often make or break your entire day. There are a few steps I always take every day to try and set myself up for success. For me, it’s especially important to have a morning routine when working from home— this is because getting ready and prepped is as much as a physical transformation as it is for my mindset. I always wake up, and brush my teeth first thing with something that’s good for me and my teeth. I love Davids - Peppermint Toothpaste along with Tom's OF MAINE - Simply White Fluoride Toothpaste Clean Mint who are both eco-friendly and pack their toothpastes full of natural whitening and enamel strengthening ingredients. The SLS and other dermatitis inducing ingredients in all toothpastes can make you break out, so I always follow brushing with a gentle cleanser like Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser or fresh - Soy Face Cleanser Limited Edition to remove it without stripping my skin. I’ll tone and then roll on my favorite facial oil or lightweight moisturizer (YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream is great for the daytime!) with an iced jade roller like this oneNEIBOURHOOD BOTANICALS - Jade Roller Gua Sha Facial Massage You can use ice, but this is nice to help de puff eyes as well and give a quick wake up. While letting my oil sink in, I’ll put on a pot of tea that caters to my skin (spearmint and green tea) to drink in lieu of coffee which gives me anxiety, and do my morning stretching and meditation while it boils. When I’m done stretching, I’ll add the hot water to my teabag and let it brew. While it’s brewing I’ll add a multitasking SPF to protect and make my skin glow without makeup, with something like COOLA - Classic Full Spectrum 360 Sun Silk Drops SPF 30 or a tinted moisturizer like it Cosmetics - it Cosmetics CC+ Cream SPF 50+ to even out my skin tone and make me look more awake, while protecting me from sun damage. If I have zoom meetings or errands, I’ll put on quick makeup. If not, a hydrating lip mask it is. Something like BITE - Agave+ Intensive Vegan Lip Mask lasts for hours and makes my lips feel super hydrated and nourished, while looking soft and supple. I’ll then light a candle with an invigorating scent like lemon or eucalyptus and drink my tea to center and calm myself to be ready for whatever my day may throw at me! Because I’ve already taken care of my personal care necessities, I feel more bada$$ already. I hope you enjoyed this post. What does your morning routine look like? ✨

Perfect Dewy Primer/Serum !
Perfect Dewy Primer/Serum !
I had purchased this a few weeks back mainly because I thought it looked cute and I was in desperate need of a serum ! I found this at walmart for only $17 Since using it I noticed my skin has felt a lot softer and more willing to accept products I put on it ! 🍯 How I apply 🍯 I use the applicator that comes with it and gentle spread a small amount on my cheeks and my neck ( I avoid my forehead because I have fungal acne ), I then massage it into my skin. ✨ Pros ! ✨ The product itself is very cute and is very well made, it’s glass and the product itself has small gold flakes in. It makes your skin super soft It helps with dry skin and has help clean up some of my acne It doesn’t have a smell 🦋 Cons 🦋 It is a little sticky because it is also a primer

HELP!! I am in need of a skincare routine that will help clear up my face. I suffer from adult acne and rosacea. I am not sure where to start. I’ve been thinking about trying Aveeno Ultra Calming line, Dermalogica Ultra Calming line, or Clinique Redness Solutions. Does anyone have any advice?

Before and after of hormonal acne
Before and after of hormonal acne
It’s been about two and a half weeks since the first photo was taken and if I hadn’t taken the photo I wouldn’t have noticed how much of a difference I can see... Diet: changing my diet has been the hardest part and I still slip up pretty often but I’m still trying to cut out sugar, bread and dairy. I’ve also started using a green powder because I’m really bad at eating veggies. Skincare: DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel I’ve been using it almost a month and I’m just now starting to see results so if you just got this keep going! OBAGI - Medical Professional-C Microdermabrasion Polish and Mask I’ve only used this once so I can’t say much about it but hopefully it will help with my scarring CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion literally in love with this moisturizer I feel like it’s the only kind that doesn’t break me out that’s still affordable! Neutrogena - Skinclearing Blemish Concealer This is a holy grail product!! I used to hate putting on makeup because I felt like i was just undoing all the work I put in but this actually feels like it’s improving my acne and scarring! CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin This is the face wash I’ve been using but I feel like I could be using something better. GIVE ME YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS GUYS!!

Redness? See ya sis 👋🏼

I really wish I hadn’t waited so long to try this!!!! This stuff is a dream! This cream can be used by all skin types. It contains centella, mineral solution and pantheol. Centella helps protect against environmental stressors caused by pollutants. This helps color correct redness, irritation, and blemishes to give a smooth even look to the skin. This green cream turns beige once applied. After blending in it almost looks like a light coverage foundation!! I love wearing this alone because it really gives me an even base. I have purchased this for my mom as well and even she loves it! This retails for $54 however it has lasted me a while which definitely makes it worth it! I totally recommend this to anyone suffering with redness or mild rosacea!❤️ 5/5 stars Dr. Jart+ - Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30

A must-try for skin prone to redness
A must-try for skin prone to redness
I have struggled with redness issues for my skin my entire life- in grade school kids would try to make me laugh just as a contest to see who could make me more red (aren’t kids fun?). I have slight rosacea, and skin that is occasionally prone to sensitivities that leave my skin hot, red, and angry. Unfortunately, I can’t exactly stay home from the world on bad skin days, which is why discovering the Dr. Jart+ - Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30 over a year ago was a game changer for me. There is no cure for rosacea, but the symptoms (read: red skin) can be managed. This color correcting treatment does an amazing job at making my red cheeks look like the rest of the skin on my face, and I love that it also has SPF in it. This absorbs into my skin with ease and only a little bit is needed, and it layers well under foundation. If I’m feeling a more low-key makeup look but still want redness coverage, I’ll use this and then set it with a setting powder. This is on the pricier end at $52 for 1.7 ounces, but you can get the smaller 0.5 oz jar for $18! Dr. Jart also has a lot of kits that feature this, so if you’re curious about trying more from this K-beauty brand I would recommend it. The entire Cicapair line really works magic at treating and concealing redness, and this color correcting treatment was the product from them that started it all for me. I definitely recommend this to anyone who struggles with redness, and I give it four out of five stars- the only reason it doesn’t get a perfect score is due to the higher price tag.

How did this happen? I’ll tell you.
How did this happen? I’ll tell you.
⭐️THIS WAS 2017!! ⭐️ My skin doesn’t look like this anymore but it was very sudden. I was on various acne medications since puberty and my clear was fine until this point. I felt so sudden. It was so bad that it was so painful just to move my face a little bit. ✨This is what I was using at the time: ✨ THAYERS - Witch Hazel Astringent I used this only 3 to 4 times but I distinctly remember it burning when my skin hadn’t gotten this far yet. REVLON - Colorstay Makeup for Normal/Dry Skin Before I was using MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation but I couldn’t afford it anymore so Pinterest said this was a dupe. It smelled like paint and my skin improved when I stopped using it. I used Too Faced - Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer and continued to use it. Didn’t negatively affect my skin like the foundation. At the time I wasn’t doing much of a skin care routine. It was SKINCEUTICALS - Simply Clean Gel for a face wash from my Dermatologist and wasn’t using a moisturizer. I did not want to look oily. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ oops. I posted this because while I was depressed and stressed, I believe the toner and the foundation created a horrible result. To fix it, I put HERITAGE STORE - Hydrogen Peroxide 3% and Baking soda on my face!!! It burned so bad that I put a towel in my mouth to stop me from screaming. While it did get rid of the bumps caused from the cystic and pustule acne, it left the horrid scars and redness seen in the video. How did it heal? 6 months on Accutane. Years later I continue to struggle with sensitive acne prone skin but I’m no where near where I used to be.
