Getting that PERFECT Blend: Tips/Tool/Tutorial!

avatar
Tangibeauty
HAAAAY EVERYBODY! Today I thought I share the tools that help create the PERFECT gradient of eyeshadow shown in in the first photo! The second photo will give you a visual. Take advantage of it!!! 😃 Here are some tips: 1. Stamping I mention stamping a lot in my posts but just for eyeshadow purposes, stamping helps build up pigment on the area desired without blending it out. This look required stamping first to provide that clean precision. The edges of the base color become more diffused after we added the darker shade, because there’s a lot more blending that has to be done with darker shades. If it bothers you too much you’re more than welcome to give the edges a light blend with the SIGMA - E54 Medium Sweeper Brush
2. Get a Smaller Blending Brush for Darker Shades THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT! Many of us make the mistake to go with a regular sized blending brush. The size of your blending brush makes all the difference in whether your eyeshadow becomes muddy or a beautiful soft gradient that transitions well. I use SONIA G - Sky Eye Set
in it has a brush that is called the “Mini booster” and it applies the perfect amount of dark pigment. The natural hairs on the brush really help in blending it out and into the inner crease of my eyes. If you don’t have this brush get something similar in size. Here’s a more inexpensive optionMORPHE - M506 Tapered Mini Blender Brush
3. Micro-adjustments Micro-adjustments can make or break your look. We’ve all been there when it comes to eyeliner. (Wanting you add just a HAIR and we come out looking like a panda🤣) However, don’t let that scare you! Makeup is all about practice and seeing what works for you and your eyeshape. If you find that one spot needs a little help, it’s okay to fix it! The key is to take it easy and slow. You automatically go heavy handed and not check your work, you’ll have a lot more to fix than just that one little spot. 4. The More Dense the Brush, The More Pigment Now this is just a general rule of thumb, but it helps in understanding how much color you’ll be picking up/applying. The more flimsy and fluffy the brush, the softer your look is going to be. The firmer/denser the brush is the more high impact your look is going to be. Hope this has helped you in your application! There’s more to this but these are just the basics! Happy Learning! ❤️

How To Perfect Your Cut Crease! Tips/Techniques
There was one day that I thought I could actually try out a cut crease but had no idea if it would fit my eyeshape. Then....THIS HAPPENED ❤️❤️😍 ...well actually happened again! (Second time doing it) Since both times were successful, I’ll give you guys some tips, tools, and techniques that would be optimal to use to get the cleanest cut crease! 1. Tools Brushes: The idea is to have a brush that isn’t super stiff and super flimsy. I use 2 types of brushes from morphe: MORPHE - M505 Tapered Blender Brush MORPHE - M506 Tapered Mini Blender Brush The m505 was used to apply the base color and the m506 was used to apply the darker shadow. 2. Technique The key thing to starting is to FIND THE BONE OF YOUR EYE. I know that sounds weird but it helps create that roundness for the eye on the cut crease. This is where you’ll focus the colors, especially the darker shades. When it comes to layering on the concealer/foundation for the cut crease, I use the SIGMA - E54 Medium Sweeper Brush to STAMP THE CONCEALER/FOUNDATION FIRST and then blend in later to decrease the likelihood for mistakes. Don’t grab too much concealer or foundation either. You don’t want to make stamping difficult/messy for you. When you stamp, follow the your eye bone once more. It helps give you an idea/outline of where to put the concealer. Set the concealer/foundation with a translucent powder to prevent shifting. This also helps layer on any other colors you want in the cut crease. I put a peachy white color plus a shimmer to bring it out as a highlight after using HUDA BEAUTY - Matte & Metal Melted Double Ended Liquid Eyeshadows in shade Faux Fur. Then you take you brush handle and line it up against the lower lid at an angle so you can see where you will put the eyeliner and if there’s any need for extension. The main thing with everything is to take it easy and slow. You will be going back and forth with correcting the shape. That’s normal and don’t beat yourself up for it! Finishing both eyes took me one to two hours the first time. You’ll get faster at it the more you practice! Happy practicing! ❤️

Transformation Day + Look into Beauty Industry😊
Honestly, who doesn’t like a well lit, snatched photo! I really wanted to highlight just the bare minimum of what I’ve noticed in the beauty industry. It’s not to say that it’s all bad but it’s good to always have awareness when you’re scrolling through Instagram and other photo apps. Always remember that photos and videos can be edited. Does it mean they all are? No. The more you see a particular trend or style of doing makeup, the more the internet is subconsciously saying, “Explore this! You might like it!” Then it all comes down you liking it or not and treating it as your new normal. We saw that a lot when contouring became initially became HUUUGE. Because it becomes the “new normal”, people could start to forget what’s real and what’s not. As we accept this new normal of whatever we see is trending, sometimes it can be difficult to have healthy self-esteem. Is editing bad? No! I personally think it’s a great tool to have and use to express creative style and fix what your camera thinks you look like to a version of what you actually see in real life. Sometimes the camera can algorithmically say, “You’re gray AF” for your skintone, but in reality...you’re a neutral or beige undertone with a slight hair of yellow/pink. I’ve attached photo 2 & 3 that came out of my camera to show you what the camera says I look like. It’s not bad. However, the camera does make me look more cool-toned when I actually don’t look like that in real life. If you think about it, editing is an art in itself. Of course, there is a line to be drawn if you end up looking COMPLEEEEETELY different (Ex: A fish is a fish, but then you edit it into an apple with a fin and still call it a fish). What does that mean for you? No, you don’t have to go on strike or start cancelling your most loved beauty influencers. However, again be mindful of what you see. You’re the curator of your own experience. As long as you understand that things are edited and you don’t get down on yourself for not looking a certain way, you’ll be fine. After all, no matter where you are and what you experienced, you’re still beautiful in your own way. 💕😃

BEST BRUSH FOR SMALL/SEMI-HOODED EYES! 🤩
YOU GUYS. THIS 👏 BRUSH 👏 IS 👏 IT 👏 You have no idea how long I’ve been trying to find a brush that fit my criteria: Tangibee’s Criteria: - Fits her eyeshape - Packs on color well - Blends well without overblending or creating patchiness - Not Poky - Semi Firm - Not your typical round blending brush - Tapered - Works with Well with buttery, powder textures Every brush I would encounter would maybe meet 75% of this criteria. I wanted a brush that could blend while laying it flat on my eye because round blending brushes have a tendency to take my eyeshadow up higher when I wanted a minimalist look(shown in first photo). I never really understood the artistic works of a natural hair eyeshadow brush and how it can impact the final results of eyeshadow. The Sonia G Worker Pro brush really helped me understand it! Here’s the breakdown: 1. Time Reduction The natural hairs on this brush picks up just the right amount of product and reduces fall out! The tapered end allows you to have precision and control over your color placement. Once you place on the color you can literally start using this brush for blending by turning it on it’s side or continue to use it flat! This has reduced my workflow on my eyes from blending for 30 minutes down to 10! You can see the hairs and the shape of the brush on photo 2 and 3. I found that my MORPHE - M505 Tapered Blender Brush can sometimes be too flimsy for the job. This can cause difficulty when you’re working with darker colors or hard-to-blend colors because they just tend to not move anywhere. 2. Shimmers/Metallics We all know that synthetics are great at applying shimmers. However the ones that I’ve tried from morphe, hourglass, and sigma seem to have too much “slip”. Therefore, they’re good for packing but blending can be a mess with sparkles everywhere or you might encounter some streaking during application. That nice shimmer that we all love just suddenly disappears. I was really surprised when I created the eyelook in photo 1 that every single sparkle in the shadow came through on my eyes! Not to mention that blending the top of the eyeshadow was a breeze! If your shimmers seem to look muddy or just “off” and don’t pull that same result as your finger swatches, try the Worker Pro out! In photo 4 you can see the results of me using this brush with the ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Norvina Eyeshadow Palette 3. Eyeshape I found that this brush was a perfect for my eyeshape! I was able to get into those tiny nooks and crannies that would normally be difficult with other flat & dense brushes. I could easily read use this brush for my whole eye area without having to switch to another blending brush. The fact that it was SO SOFT but firm allowed me to create a perfect diffused tail(shown in photo 1 & 4). There was little to no clean up and I took a good 15 minutes just admiring how well my eyeshadow came out! Get this brush! It is LIIIIIFE! 😍❤️

A Cherie Member Wanted a Fall Eyelook ❤️
One of my Cherie followers wanted me to showcase more fall looks, so here’s what I came up with! It was my first time doing a cut crease with colors that are typically not part of of the same color spectrum! I’ve seen this look around but thought it would be difficult to do with my eyeshape. Welp. IN MY OWN FACE! 🤣🤣 I love how it came out! Used: ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette VISEART - Grande Pro 3 MAC - Pro Longwear Fluidline

Old Hollywood Vintage Makeup 🎞 📽🖤
Hey Cherie Sisters! Happy Friday Eve! ⚠️ First of all, I just want to say that I DO NOT condone smoking at all ⛔️ 🚬 🚫 ⚠️ I just used it as a prop because cigarettes are always seen in old Hollywood films and I wanted to add an extra oomph to the theme. 😜 I looked at “60s makeup” for inspiration. The 60s eye makeup emphasized the crease with dramatic winged liner and huge eyelashes. They stuck to neutral colors on the eyes and pair it with a peach or light pink lips. The beauty mark that Marilyn Monroe had was also popular. I used my MAC eyeshadows for this look because was feeling nostalgic. MAC eyeshadows were my favorite. I remember that I only bought MAC eyeshadows and used them religiously. Using them again reminded me of how pristine MAC eyeshadows are. They were so pigmented, easy to work with and blended beautifully. I seriously fell in love all over again. To achieve this look, I used: 1) MAC Embark which is an intense reddish-brown shade to define the crease. I used a smudger brush (Morphe M508) 2) I stamped MAC Soft Brown on top of Embark for that transition look. 3) Using my Wayne Goss 20 brush, I blended both colors together 4) I cut my crease using Tarte Shape tape then applied MAC Dazzlelight and Nylon on the lids 5) I used an angled eyeliner brush and a gel liner to draw a dramatic wing. I would suggest gel liner over liquid for more precision and drama 6) I applied MAC Soft Brown and Embark on the lower lash. 7) Use a white eyeliner to tight line. I used Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in Exit then use MAC Gesso (matte white eyeshadow) to intensify 8) Emphasize those lashes with falsies! I used House of Lashes in the style Bouidoir Lite 9) Apply lots of mascara on the bottom lash. Use falsies for bottom lashes to emphasize the look however, this step is optional 10) Channel your inner Marilyn Monroe and add that beauty marked. 11) For lips, I used KVD Vegan Beauty Liquid Lipstick in Lovecraft then topped it with Marc Jacobs Enamored Gloss in the shade Rah Rah!. A bold red lip would work too! 12) Enjoy! I hope you recreate this look and would love to see your finished look! 🤞 What is your favorite makeup era? Francesca 💋 #CheriePartner

hello everyone! here is a tutorial on this really cool tropical eye look! i stole this idea from posvoemu on instagram🌴🌴🌙🐠 edit: for some reason the video isnt playing:( it is on my makeup instagram @aesthetemilyy if you do want to see the video! it is mg very first post on that instagram. 💖 for this eye look, i used the COLOURPOP - Aura & Out Shadow Palette in the colors fresh cut and healing heart. i love this palette and its very pigmented! COLOURPOP - Miss Bliss Shadow Palette in the shade optimist. this palette is a sister to aura &out and is also really beautiful HUDA BEAUTY - Mercury Retrograde Eyeshadow Palette this is one of my favorite palletes ever! i used gold glitch on the lid, supermoon in the inner corner, and vortex as a liner, and supermoon also as a highlighter. these shadows are very blendable and have no fallout! for lips, i used COLOURPOP - Sailor Moon x ColourPop Ultra Blotted Lip which is a beautiful natural gloss that feels and looks amazing for mascara, i used my L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Original Mascara which is a very cheap and good mascara. it never has fallout, but can be a little thick. if you’re not aware, loreal in general makes the best mascaras out there!

Quick out the door eye makeup ✨ #Cheriepartner
Quick out the door eye makeup ✨ #Cheriepartner
I work at an office everyday and I try to keep my makeup very basic and easy so I can be out the door quickly! These are the products I use daily and they’re super easy to use and gives me a nice simple look. Step one I select a very basic nude color for the lids and slowly blend out until you get the best gradient color! Second I apply the liner wing and I try to keep it not so thick! Thinner will make your eyes look a lot more natural and more of a “cat eye”. Third I brush my brow with the clear gel to stay out all day and have it looking natural. The better the hold the longer it’ll stay on throughout the day! And that’s all! I don’t try to use any base makeup because I wear a mask all day. So I keep my eyes and brows looking pretty fresh! benefit - 24-Hour Brow Setter Clear Brow Gel let me tell you about this brow setting gel, IT WILL LEAVE IT ON PLACE ALLLLL DAY!! This is the one brow gel I absolutely swear by! NYX - Epic Ink Liner I tried this liner this year and I will be repurchasing it forever! I love the tip! It’s not so stiff but not so flexible either.. making it the absolute perfect cat eye! MORPHE - 35O2 Second Nature Eyeshadow Palette these Shar does from morphe in my opinion are so amazing! They blend beautifully! Most times I add a eyeshadow primer to make the colors pop and last longer, with these shadows I don’t need to apply it, it has the most GORGEOUS pigment! I recommend them 100%! I’d recommend using a very nude base to start so you can get the best blended look.

Bold pretty colors are not something I usually wear! But times are hard and makeup is such a fun form of creative expression. I’ve had the ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Norvina Eyeshadow Palette for a few(ish) months and playing around with it is so fun! It does have some fallout but I don’t have complaints, this palette is super pigmented and performs wel! I thought the eye look is perfect for nights out when you still unfortunately have to wear a mask. I got the inspiration from the shoe Euphoria! The makeup on that show is always so playful and creative, I thought why not go for it! I used: •benefit hoola bronzer as a crease base color •shade volatile in crease/corner •shade celestial all over the lid and lash line (*tip—use a flat eyeshadow blush to pack the pigment on, if needed wet the brush or use your finger) •shade dreamer in the inner corner •shade base at high point of eyebrow 💋🤍 #cheriepartner

I know I just posted a pretty negative review of the ABH Mini NORVINA Pro Pigment palette Vol. 3 a day ago. However, I’m posting another review, because I had a really nice experience putting this eye look together today. I went a little easier on the shadows with the brushes today and had much less kickback. It did take some work to get the pigment to pop, but I think it turned out really pretty! Swipe through for a few more views and to see what shadows I used where. Let me know if you like it or if you have questions about other products I used here! 💖💖💖💖ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Mini NORVINA Pro Pigment Palette Vol. 3

I never thought I would wear yellow eyeshadow...like EVER, but I HAD to try Colourpop’s “uh-huh honey” palette. At first I thought it was a dupe for UD’s naked honey palette, but I compared both and this is a true yellow eyeshadow while UD is more of a bronze gold/honey toned. 2 palettes are completely different. This look is super simple. I only used 2 brushes (Sigma E35 and E27) and 5 eyeshadows. I used: On beehave (transition and lower lash line) Stinger (crease ) Buzz kill (inner+ outer lid, lower lash line) Sunburst (mid lid) Palooza (mid lid on top of sunburst) Colourpop bff liner in “grande” I have Kylie’s lip gloss in “literally” This is a beautiful palette and it is subtle enough to be used for an everyday soft summer glam. What do you think of yellow eyeshadows? Francesca

MY FAV QUICK EYE LOOK 👀 #CheriePartner
MY FAV QUICK EYE LOOK 👀 #CheriePartner
Hey guys! So today I did a quick two shade eye look! I love to try new color combos and using my Morphe 35H HotSpot always gives me the versatility I need! Two shades are my fav go to because it’s quick and you can do it really within 15 minutes! MORPHE - 35H Hot Spot Artistry Palette Today I did a pretty shimmer blue and brick orange color with a winged liner using NYX matte liquid liner. NYX - Matte Liquid Liner I love this liner because of the tip and the quick dry time! The tip helps my eyeliner to be more precise! The colors I used were Off the Grid and Beachfront. I took a fluffy brush and dipped it in Off the Grid and swept it over my outer crease into the middle and blended out to give a slight blew out look and then popped beach front from the middle into the inner corner of my eye. Then topped it off with the winged liner. That’s really it! I thought it was a cute color combo and hope you guys like it! What’s your fav color combination? BESOS 😘
