Tips For Flawless Matte Foundation on Dry Skin!
Tangibeauty
BAM! OMG. YOU GUYS.
This has been THE BEST makeup I have done on my face and it actually feels good to have on!
I don’t feel cakey and I look good in EVERY 👏 TYPE 👏 OF 👏 LIGHT!
The first photo is of my skin up close and personal. The second is how it looks far away!
Here are some tips to get a comfortable matte finish on dry skin! I usually don’t fully go crazy over products but THESE ARE BOMB.
1. Get a setting powder that’s hydrating and use a BEAUTY BLENDER to blend the product in.
Let’s be real. I hate baking and always thought a brush would be better at applying powder. A brush is good, but a dry beauty blender is the S**T! When I switched over to this technique after watching Wayne Goss’s video on flawless foundation, my contour and blush were game changing. They didn’t disappear after 30 minutes from the time of application and it set my foundation to a wearable finish. The key is to not slap on a ton of setting powder and to use what you got before dipping in for more product(thanks Wayne!). Even though my other products were powder, nothing built up! Woot! I used BECCA - Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder

Should You Use Setting Spray? + Tips ❤️
Setting spray can be our best friend or worst nightmare. I’ve been testing out this theory with URBAN DECAY - All Nighter Long Lasting Setting Spray Jumbo & Travel Duo I wanted to see how it preformed under different conditions (sweat, dryness, oily, days where I have acne, dewy makeup etc.) to see if there were any changes. Here are my results and some tips when choosing your setting spray! Setting sprays are used to set and revive your makeup. They’re great if you rather not use powders on your face, as they can be quite drying depending on what you use.
Sweat/Sebum/Combination Skin:
I did my daily makeup routine and sprayed this stuff on. I usually opt for a satin/second skin finish for foundations and use powder contour/blush/setting powder for the rest of my face. Theeen, I went hiking. 🤣 It was all for the experiment! As the sun was beating down my face in 95 degree weather, sweat and oil started to produce. It was fine for the first two hours, but there was only so much that the “temperature control” features this product could only do. By the end of the hike, my forehead, nose, chin and wherever else there was excessive sweat/oil broke down the makeup I had on. What does this mean for everyone else? If you have oily skin or live in a humid climate, this is NOT the setting spray for you. Instead, #Ben Nye - Final Seal[products]#[FourStars] may be a better choice. This stuff is STRONG when it comes to oily skin. I wouldn’t recommend this for dry skin because you can definitely feel things “tightening” up as it dries. Urban Decay’s setting spray is great for indoor activities with minimal sweating/oil production. However, if you’re accidentally creating puddles of your body fluids...not a great choice.
Dry skin/Acne-Prone:
Everyone’s acne triggers can vary from one another, so I can only speak from my own experience when it comes to that. When I use this product on my skin, I personally don’t break out. I actually enjoy using this when I want a matte foundation to have a slight glow, especially if the foundation makes my skin feel dry/tight when used by itself. It is a good product that helps with slight hydration. If you have dry skin, this can definitely help in ensuring you don’t look as cakey due to the hydration properties. Your makeup should last you all day unless you’re dealing with a couple factors that we discussed above. If you find your skin to be too dewy or shiny after using this, take some setting powder and set it in area you want to be more matte. This will help create dimension in your face!
Type of makeup:
The type of makeup you wear underneath does impact how the product will function for you at the end of the day. Some formulations just don’t pair with other formulations. It can be disappointing but it’s normal. When using a ton of dewy products on the skin, it might be better to use a setting powder like BECCA - Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder to help longevity instead.

Hippie Halloween Makeup on Bestie 🥳
This year I didn’t dress up as anything. BUT.
I had a lot of fun doing makeup on my best friend who’s going to dress up as a Hippie!
I love the blue under eye for this look. It really pulls everything together! Close ups are in photo 2 & 3! Photos were taken outside in natural light along with a ring light with my phone 😊
For her face and skin, she has combination skin with an oily T-Zone. The other areas of her face are dry. The foundation we used is a medium coverage and is great for those who don’t have apparent redness on the face.
For the eyeshadow I used:
VISEART - Grande Pro 3
For accessories:
KINNO - Imitation Gold Leaf Schabin Flakes
And Dollar Store Stickers
For the face:
N°7 - Stay Perfect Foundation SPF 15 and a mixture of color that I used to adjust to her skin color
WAYNE GOSS - The Weightless Veil Blush Palette in coral rose
NYX - Can't Stop Won't Stop Setting Powder
clé de peau BEAUTÉ - clé de peau BEAUTÉ Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 25
PEACH & LILY - Skin Shield Blurring Primer

Soft Glam with Anastasia Beverly Hills 😍
I thought I would share a clear photo of what is my Go-to routine for daily makeup 😊
Believe it or not, I actually prefer not to put on foundation if I’m out and about. I LOVE just going out with a little concealer, some lashes, eyeshadow, and lipstick. I don’t put on foundation because love my cheeks because they’re naturally rosy. I also really appreciate the dimensions of my face.
I thought I would show this photo because
1. I love how my eyeshadow looks. It’s hard to sometimes get my camera to show the eyeshadow colors for what they truly are. This eyelook is amazingly soft and wearable with some awesome dimension.
2. I want to normalize “nice photos with blemishes”. It never really occurred to me that some people really get down on themselves when they take a good photo and become discouraged when they see one or two blemishes. I feel like if I can show that I can embrace mine, it can help others embrace theirs 😊
For this look I used:
ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette
3CE - Velvet Lip Tint
clé de peau BEAUTÉ - clé de peau BEAUTÉ Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 25

MILK FLEX IS THAT B
basically a full face of milk makeup 😇 honest review below!
Milk MAKEUP - Flex Foundation Stick Was not a love at first use, but now this is my go to! It really came down to how I was applying this foundation stick. I use the cream foundation brush from the milk x Sephora set. I’m just gonna day, YA NEED IT.
+ easy application ( brush, fingers, sponge )
+ medium buildable coverage; little goes a long way
+ natural finish
+ has a smoothing and blur effect on skin
+ great for contour/highlight
+ sleek, sturdy and portable packaging
- tacky finish without being set; I have to set this with a powder or my hair will literally stick to my face.
Milk MAKEUP - Flex Concealer Bought this on a whim! I had seen a lot of people use it and even used it often on clients when I worked at Sephora, but never tried it on myself at that time. Now that I have it and use it, I absolutely LOVE IT!
+ great coverage; natural and buildable
+ minimal to no creasing
+ nice applicator
+ beautiful for under eye or highlighting
Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder I’ve been using this powder since it’s launch day! My absolute favorite! So much product. It lasts forever.. I mean almost lol
+ translucent shades; light - *medium*- deep
+ nice consistency and texture
+ no cake face!
+ keeps any glow you’ve applied prior. Not too matte.
+ blur and smoothing effect
+ great packaging with a snap lid + screw on lid
+ great for travel
+ good for baking and lightly setting the face
- sponge it comes with is “meh”
- if you apply too much you will be VERY matte
Milk MAKEUP - Flex Highlighter I’m honestly not big on highlighters, but wow I love this one! I thought it would be too heavy and blinding, but it is very buildable. I’m wearing the shade BLITZED
+ sleek and sturdy packaging; perfect compact mirror
+ nice color range
+ buildable! Not too heavy unless you want it to be!
+ soft and subtle glow
+ creamy and soft texture
+ minimal pan fallout
AND that’s my honest review for these milk products!

Makeup mistakes: choosing the wrong shade
I spent the longest time not really understanding (or caring) about makeup, especially when it came to choosing a face makeup product. I like very light coverage, but was having trouble finding something that suited me. I finally settled on It Cosmetics CC Cream. This is a rather full-coverage product as far as CC creams go. For the longest time I was wearing this product in a shade that was about two shades too dark for my natural skin tone. If I had just fake tanned it looked okay, but any other time it was WAY too dark, especially against my neck and chest. I was just really lazy and did not want to take the time to go to a store in-person and figure out which shade was right for me. Once I finally did, it was a total game changer. My whole face looked so much better, and my makeup looks were so much more natural. So the moral of the story is, take that extra time to find your correct shade! It makes all the difference! #CheriePartner

24 hour coverage foundation
Been using becca 24 hour coverage foundation in the colour fawn as my undereye highlight and my base has been even more flawless than normal. When they say long wear they mean it !
Too Faced Born This Way foundation and concealer
I’m honestly so impressed by both of these products!
Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation has such a great consistency! This product is very hyped in the beauty community so I had to see for myself! I’ve been using this for a little over a month now. I think this would be good for all skin types and if you have oily skin I would just recommend using a matte primer and set your face with powder.
Too Faced - Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Concealer This is one of the more moisturizing concealers I have tried and I love the texture! This has great coverage so be sure to only use a little bit to avoid any cakeyness. This product is also very hyped and I’ve seen a lot other beauty bloggers recommend it. I have been using this for about a month. I would recommend this to all skin types and I think this could be especially good for more mature skin since it has more moisture and therefore won’t cling to fine lines and wrinkles as much.
Too Faced-Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation
my favorite foundation is a cc cream!
it Cosmetics - Your Skin But Better CC Illumination with SPF 50+
The It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream is my absolute go to foundation, I initially bought it to be a light coverage every day wear base and just fell in love, I haven’t found a better one since!!
For reference, I have naturally pretty clear skin but often get discolouration, red patches, dark circles and lil brown spots. I have an oily forehead and dry cheeks so I use the milk makeup face oil on the lower half of my face before applying my makeup.
Pros
Foundation is smooth and creamy, gives full coverage without looking cakey and dry
Can look beautiful and illuminating without powder while also looks smooth after setting down and doesn’t crack around my smile lines
Has SPF50 and doesn’t look ashy!
The tubes last AGES, I’ve gone through one and a half in two years
The coverage lasts for a long time, I wear it out clubbing and I come home still beat
Cons
The shade range is absolutely abysmal, I’m lucky that it doesn’t affect me but I had to take a star away nonetheless
A bit on the pricey side but for how long it lasts I’ve found it to be worth it
