Sensitive/sensitized skin moisturizer search
Sensitive/sensitized skin moisturizer search
Hi! I have very sensitive skin and a couple weeks ago I had a sort of flare up and now my skin is the most sensitized it’s possibly ever been. Everything I put on it burns, even many products designed for sensitive skin. The only product that’s worked is Avène - Cicalfate Restorative Skin Cream which is amazing but it’s a thick paste and I’ve found that it’s a bit suffocating for my combination, acne-prone skin after prolonged use. Can anyone recommend a lighter moisturizer for hyper-sensitive skin? I’m desperate!

CeraVe product intolerance/sensitivity??
CeraVe product intolerance/sensitivity??
Hi everyone! I have sensitive, acne prone skin and recently I’ve been trying to find the best moisturizer for those concerns. I read a lot on this app about CeraVe products and they sounded like they’d be perfect for my skin (and in my price range). But so far I’ve tried two products and my skin has reacted badly to both of them. First I tried the CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotionand it burned my skin and caused more redness and irritation. Then I tried CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skinand was super excited to find it didn’t burn my skin or cause redness. However after a few days of using this product, I started to get some fungal acne for the first time ever in my life, which is really confusing because I thought this moisturizer was supposed to be acne safe? Has anyone else had a bad reaction to CeraVe moisturizers? Please let me know and leave sensitive skin moisturizer recommendations in the comments! 👇

Hi! After over a year of my skin thriving, it started to struggle recently (I haven’t left the house in a while and probably haven’t been drinking enough water). I thought it might be because of my moisture barrier and after doing some research I got CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion to help repair it. I have super sensitive skin and a lot of products burn or cause me to break out but I heard CeraVe was great for sensitive skin. I’ve been using this product for a few days now and it burns my skin and causes redness and irritation every time I put it on. And I’ve gotten some little bumps on my face since starting it. Does anybody know why? It also doesn’t feel moisturizing even though my skin isn’t super dry to begin with. I want to learn more about my sensitive skin but I cannot seem to find a pattern in products that work and don’t. My main skin concerns are sensitivity, redness, and large pores. I’m hoping you guys can help and recommend products. Thanks in advance! Btw the third picture is from before I started this product (no face makeup on). Products that have worked: Aveeno - Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser Eucerin - Redness Relief, Dermatological Skincare, Night Creme (I’ve been using this for years but it started burning slightly the last couple week so I decided to try something else) FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum LA ROCHE-POSAY - Serozinc Face Mist Simple - Kind to Skin Micellar Cleasing Water (and every other micellar water I’ve tried, I use this to cleanse in the mornings instead of washing my face) Products that surprisingly didn’t work: Aveeno - Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser (this product burned my skin and dried me out more than the clear complexions one, causing my skin to flake for the first time ever) GARNIER - SkinActive The Gentle Sulfate-Free Cleanser (burned my skin but less than other products have) The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (broke out my skin really badly - I tried to wait it out to see if it was just purging but it didn’t get better. It didn’t burn though) elta md SKINCARE - UV Shield Full-Body Sunscreen Broad-Spectrum SPF 45 (works on my body but I saw reviews that said it works for sensitive faces too... but it made me break out on my face) belif - The True Cream Aqua Bomb (burned my skin) Simple - Kind to Skin Moisturizing Facial Wash (burned my skin a bit but didn’t cause breakout or excessive dryness)

💋 KISS 💋 - FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Lip Therapy (smooth application, makes your lips feel HYDRATED 💧, that hydrated feeling lasts for a decent amount of time. No smell really at all or COLOUR 💄which I do prefer in a lip product) FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser (non-irritating and very mild 🌝 Reminds me of a fancier Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanserremoves makeup, in general a good all purpose cleanser but nothing earth shattering) 💍 MARRY 💍 - FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream (this cream L.I.T.E.R.A.L.L.Y fixed my face 🤯 so so so moisturizing and soothing. I used to have dry, painful red skin around my nose and suffered this way for at least 10 years-NOT NO MORE 💁‍♀️ I recommend it to anyone who will listen) FIRST AID BEAUTY - Facial Radiance Pads (these are SUUUUPER popular for a reason, they make my skin feel and look GLOWY 💡 the only downside is that they are pre-moistened pads which is not so eco friendly 🌎 Hack I learned from a very smart Sephora lady: cut the pads in half for twice as many uses 😂) 🔪 KILL 🔪 - FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum (feels nice going on but my skin feels so THIRSTY 😩 after. See above for more hydrating options) In conclusion: I refer so many friends (and even enemies) to First Aid Beauty they should probably be paying me 💸

Rosacea PM routine (on a budget)
Rosacea PM routine (on a budget)
I was never concerned about skincare routine until I found out I have rosacea. But it was not until recently that I started being more intentional about it (@cherie helped a lot ♥️). I didn’t review TO Niacinamide, the TO Azelaic Acid or the Cerave PM facial lotion yet. I just started to use. I’ll review them on another post after 6 weeks of my routine. 1 Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser I use this cleanser for a while now. It’s really gentle to my skin and it doesn’t make it tight 2 VICHY - Mineralizing Thermal Water Spray Rich in 15 Minerals it’s not always on my routine. I just used it when the rosacea flares up or I feel my face too hot 3 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%Like the Azelaic Acid, I just started so I wanna wait at least 6 weeks to see the results 4 The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%👆🏼 5 CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion👆🏼 6 #Trader Joe’s - Hydrating Hyaluronic Body Gel Cream[products]#[FiveStars] I use this on my body and not face. I simply love it, it’s a total game changer. I wrote a review about it on another post 😉 I also to add an oil to the routine. Thoughts?

First Impressions: CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin -My first impression of this product is definitely positive! My skin felt softer immediately after lathering this on. It was foamy which is different from cleansers I have been using. My skin seems to have gone from combo skin to more oily so I needed a change in cleanser. Will update once I have used this for a while! Aveeno - Calm + Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer -OH MY GOSH. I am OBSESSED with this. My skin is sensitive and like I said, oily, so this is PERFECT. It’s a gel moisturizer and the texture was amazing, so soft and calming to my skin, helping soothe my rosacea. I got the trial size but I definitely think I’ll be getting the full size when I run out.

This is ridiculous.

First two pics are from today, last two pics are from last month. My routine right now is so minimal because I had a bad reaction to HOLI FROG - Superior Omega Nutritive Gel Wash back in July so I legit haven't used skincare since then except water in AM/micellar water (wash it off with water) when I have makeup on. I have NEVER experienced anything like this before, I have comedones now and just random pimples EVERYWHERE on my cheeks I look fucking disgusting. The problem is I don't know what to use on my face because I'm sensitive to so much, including niacinamide, a lot of botanicals, coconut derived products and I'm worried to put any other oils on my face. I feel like a cleanser would help me get on the right track again but I have no idea what to use because I dont need anymore of this ugliness on my face.

Every rosacea skin should definitely see this

I have rosacea skin for several years and I’ve tried numerous skincare products and cosmeceuticals. But my skin situation is not stable, it can get red, sensitive and with some spots occasionally. Last year I went to visit a famous doctor who is the top expert on the treatment for rosacea, and she recommended me to change all of my daily-routine products to very simple but efficient ones. after using these products for about half a year, my skin become stable and very smooth. I’d like share these products with you guys, (I spent a lot of money to get this recommendation lol, so plzzzzz read it and remember it!!!) I think it is suitable for all rosacea skin. And all of the products are pretty cheap and easy to buy. Morning🌝: 1. LAROCHE-POSAY EFFACLAR H cleansing cream 2.NeoStrata redness neutralizing serum 3. SKINCEUTICALS sheer mineral uv defense SPF 50 (if you don’t like mineral texture you can change it, becuz to be honest it’s cannot fit the foundations and become too white on face, now I change it to HELIOCARE 360 gel oil-free, check the third pic, ;D) Night🌛: 1. LAROCHE-POSAY EFFACLAR H cleansing cream 2. SESDERMA AZELAC moisturizing cream 3. Finacea (Azelaic acid) this kind of acid is really good for rosacea but you need to make sure you skin can tolerate it in advance. 4. SKINCEUTICALS redness neutralizer (if you think it’s a little bit heavy, you can still use NeoStrata redness neutralizing serum) It’s the all the products I use as daily routine, very simple, but really useful to cure the rosacea.

Summer to Fall Hydration 🍁
Summer to Fall Hydration 🍁
I have sensitive combo skin that is acne prone and live in Boston so when it gets cold, my skin gets dry and needs more hydration. Here are a few holy grail hydrators I add in for the season! Summer Items to Replace -Daily Greens by Farmacy for heavier moisturizer -Beet Shield by Krave ✨Fall Additions 💦 Healing Ointment by CeraVe $12 for 5oz If this isn’t the mother of hydration, I don’t know what is. With Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides, this thick gel product always manages to save my skin. I actually love this most for something I’ve heard called “slugging” which sounds gross but works for me. Basically it’s using a product like this as a night moisturizer which makes you very shiny but for me, has amazing results. I’ve noticed changes in my breakouts when doing this, meaning they’ve healed a lot overnight. This is also great for things like dry lips or dry hands. I was dealing with dry lips when the weather started to change despite my regular routine still being in place. I brushed my lips with my toothbrush gently to remove any dead skin and added this for nighttime and WOW. After 2-3 days of actual dry spots, they disappeared with this product. 💦 Honey Halo by Farmacy $45 for 1.7 oz This is a new moisturizer from this brand and they finally added what their Honey Drop moisturizer lacked which is CERAMIDES! These are so great in locking in hydration for your skin. I also adore honey in all products because it has tons of perks. This, though thicker, feels great on skin and melts into a lighter kind of oil texture. This can be used morning and night and overall will be very soothing for your skin. *pr 💦 Great Barrier Relief Serum by Krave $28 for 1.52 fl oz Key Ingredients: Tamanu Oil, Safflower Oil, Rosehip Oil, Vitamin B3, Ceramide These ingredients are for skin regeneration, hyperpigmentation, anti-aging, brightening, acne-fighting and generally repairing a damaged skin barrier. This serum is a favorite of mine for ceramide and niacinamide ingredient list. This product acts like your skin’s moisture barrier when things get rough. It’s great for helping with sunburns, dryness, texture, and any general irritation. I use this after a lighter Vitamin C serum during the morning on my mask area and I think it’s been really helping to create a barrier and prevent breakouts from mask wearing too! 💦Centella Green Level Unscented Sunscreen $16 for 2oz This is less SPF than originally stated by the brand. I think it’s like SPF 19 now which isn’t enough. You want 30-50. CeraVe - Healing Ointment FARMACY - Honey Halo Ultra-hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ Krave - Great Barrier Relief #Cherie Partner
