First time using Vitamin C
I really wanted a product to improve my overall complexion, and to brighten up my face. So I can across this serum on Ulta, and it had great reviews. Before I try to use something new, I do some intrusive reading before using the product. Some benefits of using vitamin C: - reduces inflammation - improves hydration/moisture -reduces discoloration When I applied this prudent on, my first impression was that, it’s sticky. I don’t mind the stickiness, it just felt different on my skin. I was concern that my skin might have a reaction but it didn’t. It help my skin look dewy and moisturize. I use this app call think dirty, and it analyze the ingredients of the product. This product came up clean. Which is a bonus. I’ve use this product for several weeks and I just noticed that it helps with hydration. Did not really see results for helping with my complexion. This product would be great for people who is starting off using vitamin C. There is very low concentration of vitamin C in this product. You’ll see very little improvements of seeing any brightening. Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum

StevenPhamOf course, the sweet spot for the concentration level ranges between 10 and 20%. If you want to see results, it has to be 8% for maximum effectiveness. Even though mad happie does not mention the % of vitamin C serum, it has a very low concentration since it is diluted with other ingredients, such as L-acorbic acid, vitamin E, hyaluronic acid, and konjac root for the protection for your skin barrier.

Affordable Morning Routine!
Ulta employee here showing my affordable morning routine! Everything is under $40 and fragrance free 😊 A little bit about my skin: - I have pretty normal skin with a slightly oily t-zone - I live in Florida, so I sweat A LOT due to the humidity - My skin can be acne prone - I get "fungal acne" very easily from heavier moisturizing ingredients (and many niacinamide serums for some reason) Now for the routine! I cleanse with CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin and oh my god this has made the biggest difference with the "fungal acne" (I use quotes because its not really acne). I used to have congested pores all over my face and no matter what I did, they wouldn't go away! I was looking for drugstore cleansers and happened to find this, and I haven't had any issues since. Highly recommend! After gently patting my face dry, I'll use the Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum . I hate that this is relatively expensive for a drugstore vitamin c serum, but no other serum has worked as well as this one for me. I've tried similar vitamin c treatments from the ordinary and other brands, and nothing makes my skin feel as soft, bright, and hydrated as mad hippie. Recently, I'll also take any excess and put it near my under-eye area to help with dark circles, and its making a big difference! I've already repurchased this product, so I highly recommend. I struggle with fine lines around my eyes, so I love using DERMA•E - Firming DMAE Eye Lift Cream AM and PM. I'm on my 3rd bottle of this and I've noticed a big reduction in fine lines, dark circles, and creasing when I wear concealer. This is one of the best eye creams out there in my opinion. I moisturize with CLINIQUE - Clinique iD : Moisturizer + Concentrate for Fatigue . I use the jelly base with the fatigue cartridge for lightweight hydration, additional antioxidants, and glowing skin throughout the day. My skin always feels soft, supple, and bright... so much so that I have 2 extra cartridges sitting in my bathroom so that I never run out 😂 SUNSCREEN, SUNSCREEN, SUNSCREEN! I love LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 60 Clear Skin Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF 60 even though its a chemical sunscreen. I tried to switch to mineral sunscreen recently, and every single one that I tried always made me look like a ghost, felt like I was rubbing chalk on my skin, or broke me out. This sunscreen is oil-free, contains antioxidants for extra protection, and is dry to the touch so it won't feel greasy at all. I'm on my 3rd (?) bottle of this and I don't see myself switching any time soon. DON'T FORGET LIP SPF! I really like Aquaphor - Lip Repair + Protect Broad Spectrum SPF 30 because its very moisturizing and really hydrates the lips. We see people coming in all the time for lip scrubs, but you don't need one if you properly moisturize and protect your lips!
The 2nd slide is my current routine and described as below :) Since starting retinol I haven’t used anything else (the first pic is all of my products) and I don’t know if/when I can add any of these into my routine. Any advise would be helpful. Also I am open to recommendations to a gel moisturizer for oily/sensitive skin, I’ve been using TRADER JOE'S - Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer with Aloe & Green Tea Extractsand CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotionbut I’m not in love with them and would be open to any suggestions. AM: CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin Let my skin dry and apply clindamycin phosphate topical solution usp 1% then wait 20 mins and apply TRADER JOE'S - Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer with Aloe & Green Tea ExtractsandCeraVe - Hydrating Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 50 PM: CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin Then apply tretinoin cream 0.025%
Vitamin C serum
I have been looking for a serum for awhile, until I found this little guy. I have been using this for almost 8 months now and is totally hooked!! My skin was the softest and dewiest it had ever been. Without makeup my face looks great and thanks to the new smoothness, makeup went on so well. I love how this smells - very citrusy and has very slight hints of ginger . The product is heavy and is more like a oil than a serum. Now , because of this I am only giving it a 4 star!! My one recommendation is to apply this at night before bed because your face is left a little sticky. An added bonus to this is when you wake up in the morning, your skin will be baby soft and ready to take on the day!Sweet CHEF - Ginger + Vitamin C Serum Shot

Mad Hippie-Vitamin C Serum
Recently got my hands on this clear fanny pack and I’m obsessed. I popped the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Serum in it since it’s the perfect daytime serum. 🍊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s light, absorbs easily, and helps prep my face for other products. I prefer to use vitamin c products in the morning since I use acids at night. 👍🏾 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This serum is my favorite vitamin c product. It’s helped with brightening my skin, especially the dark spots. 🙌🏾 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You can get with this or you can get with that
I hate being wasteful, so unless I’m irritated I will always finish a product. SUNDAY RILEY C.E.O Vitamin C (15%) Meant for anti-aging (DULLNESS, FIRMNESS, REDNESS) PHYTOSTEROLS What the what?! 🥴 basically made of soybean & 40% б-sitosterol (UNEVENESS & REDNESS) Glycolic Acid AHA really meant to keep the product in PH Sunday Riley is not a green line however one considers the products to be more on the natural side. After looking at the main ingredients, doesn’t seem so natural. Aside from a creamy texture it was OK. What isn’t OK is the price point of $85 NOCHE Y DIA C VITAMIN PURE- revitalizing concentrate Bitter Orange peel oil Lemon oil Kiwi oil I made the mistake of throwing out the box but in researching the main ingredients it seems pretty natural. I didn’t enjoy the first application because as you see it’s all oils. I’m usually fine with that at night but for daytime? I took some time to really work and massage my face and the product in and everything felt and looked better. I’m now a fan and obsessed especially at a price point of $29.95
Sweetchef Ginger + Vitamin C Serum Shot
Lets talk about everyone’s brightening bff Vitamin C serum !!! 🍊✨ - I haven’t really tried that many vitamin c serums because after I tried the Mario Badescu one (its trash dont recommend) and had the most awful reaction ever I was basically much scarred from ever using one again. Also a lot of vit c serums are pretty darn pricy and I haven’t gotten myself to actually go out and treat myself to a good one. I picked the Ginger + Vitamin C Serum shot by @sweetchefskin (glow recipes sister brand hi ily) from Target and have been using it consistently in the am for a few weeks - This serum is only $20 which really isn’t bad for a face serum and I have really been enjoying it so far! The serums texture feels a bit tacky at first but it absorbed into my skin so well and it was easy to layer on all my other products. The smell is super subtle/refreshing and not overpowering whatsoever. There wasn’t really any immediate results which I didn’t expect but overtime it has helped with some hyperpigmentation and evening out my skin. My only big downside would have to be the dropper. It was sort of a pain to work with/ product for out, but it wasn’t that big of a deal for me. I wouldn’t say this serum is anything intense so it’s definitely a good vitamin c serum for beginners that wont break the bank! - What are your holy grail Vitamin C serums? I need to try some new ones out 🧡
TMYS, short for To Make You Smile—is a vegan and cruelty-free brand from Thailand that believes that the most beautiful face is a happy face. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Their first product aka the 01 Iconic Brightening Essence (which is more of a serum per se) claims to brighten, protect, hydrate, and refresh the skin. Has vitamin C, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid as it’s main ingredients which will help correct your skin tone and reduce dark spots. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Used this for a month and I’m very satisfied with the results, daily use really brightened my face and make it seem like it’s glowing post application. Consistency and texture doesn’t feel tacky at all imo. Looking forward to using this more and as promised!!!
