Lately I’ve been having these little bumps on my face and they have been there for awhile, and today my face looks like this. I have dry skin and it’s starting to flake in some areas. I use PAULA'S CHOICE - Clear Pore Normalizing Cleanser I use this cleanser in the morning and at night when I’m not using my spit treatment I use the PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator 3x a week but I feel like this hasn’t really been helping me PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster I’ve been using this for about two weeks I use this in the morning and after I have a mild burning sensation for a few minutes then it goes away PAULA'S CHOICE - Clear Regular Strength Daily Skin Clearing Treatment I’ve been using this at night on my blemishes and I feel like it’s slowly helping them go away but haven’t seen much results yet Do anybody know what’s going on with my skin? It was just fine this morning
updated morning routine 🌞🌈🌻
finally found the products that work!!! i’ve tried so many products to no avail but i think i’ve finally found the ones for me!! first i start off with PAULA'S CHOICE - Clear Pore Normalizing Cleanser i have super oily skin and absolute need a salicylic cleanser otherwise i will break out like no tomorrow. i absolutely love this cleanser, it’s super gentle but still really effective. it doesn’t leave my face feeling tight and stripped. it’s also realllyyyyyy helped with my breakouts then i use The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% i used to use this at both morning and night but i felt like i was overusing it because it is a 10% serum which is a lot honestly. this product has really helped me with oil control and not feeling like a total grease face next i use The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG because i have some darkkkk dark circles if you know what i mean haha. it’s partially genetic so i can only do so much but i feel like this product has really helped brighten up my eye area and look more awake then i go in with CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin now this is not my favorite moisturizer. don’t get me wrong it is incredibly moisturizing but it’s just not for my skin type, it makes me incredibly oily. so if you have any moisturizer recommendations please let me know :) lastly i finish off with PURITO - Comfy Water Sun Block i’ve been using this daily sunblock for a couple months now and i really like it. it does leave a bit of a white cast if you don’t rub it in enough but will also pill up if you rub too much. this might be annoying for some but i don’t mind it comment any suggestions or recommendations below !! :)

Budget Makeup Remover for Sensitive Skin!!!
I had recently ran out of my CAUDALIE - Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil (which has been discontinued 😔) as well as my CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm and I was looking for a new, but cheaper way to remove my makeup. I'm on a tight budget right now and couldn't afford to spend $30 on something that JUST removes my makeup. I tend to save money when it comes to cleansers, moisturizers and makeup removers, but splurge on the treatments and masks. I recently bought the POND'S - Cold Cream Cleanser after Dr. Dray, a dermatologist based in Houston recommended it on her YT channel. Ponds recently came out with a fragrance free version, so her, and now I, hopped on board! About the Product 🤍 This is a cold cream, which is an oil based cream first cleanse, that feels almost like a super heavy moisturizer. It gets the job done, but in no way is it luxurious or like "top-end" first cleanses. Their Balm may be different, but it has fragrance. This does have mineral oil in it, but don't worry, it's only a first cleanse so as long as you second cleanse you won't have to worry about it lingering on your skin. But In the process it does feel quite thick and filmy. My Experience 🤍 I have acne-prone, combination skin and this works well for me. It's definitely thick and you NEED to second cleanse to get all of it off. I apply it to dry skin and it breaks down my makeup but it doesnt really emulsify well or come off with just water, which Is fine by me, my second cleanse gets the job done. This did not irritate my acne prone skin or clog my pores. In fact my skin looks BETTER now then it did using the caudalie one, which had fragrance and some other pore clogging components. If you're looking for a good, budget drugstore makeup remover that is AMAZING for sensitive or acne prone skin, then give this a try! It's not luxury, but it gets the job done!!
Thee Best Makeup Remover EVER!!!!!!
This cleansing balm will make you second guess any makeup wipe you’ve ever bought! My favorite makeup wipes are the dupe for the POND'S - Original Fresh Moisture Clean Towelettes from Target , which I still absolutely love! Because these wipes rids EVERYTHING!! But if I don’t have those I’ll settle for POND'S - Cold Cream Cleanser which is also a favorite!! I keep a tub in every room of my house & one in my purse NO LIE! & it definitely does what it’s supposed to do HOWEVER...... I’ve come across a company that it this close 👌🏾 to making me their number stalker fan. Yes, stalker fan. BANILA CO. One of my good Cherie sistas put me on to this grand brand & when I say they’ve taken all my moneys, they’ve taken all of my moneys. I’ve started out buying the kit which had all the sample sizes, but my skin is greedy & it needed more! For all my lash wearers, you guys know how it is when you still have that piece of glue stuck on your lashes that’s so stubborn it doesn’t want to move.... 🙄😒 THIS BALM WILL ELIMINATE THAT GLUE EXPEDITIOUSLY!!! I am not kidding! Both of those products I’ve listed above I’ve used for YEARS! And neither has successfully gotten lash glue off within one wipe, or one wash! This cleansing balm did! I almost wanted to put some more makeup on just to use it again to wipe it off! This stuff is pure magic!!!!!!!!!! BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Original
🌿double cleansing 🌿
Have you ever woken up in the morning and still had makeup residue? I know I have! The worst part of finding this residue is the horror of realizing you’re not cleansing properly. Since your body does the majority of it’s healing at night we don’t want anything that could clog our pores or allow bacteria to flourish as we sleep. So let’s look at some of my favorite cleansers and what double cleansing can do for you! 🌿🌿🌿🌿 I’ve been double cleansing for about 8 years now and discovered it by trying K-Beauty 10 step skincare routines. While I can say I do not have a 10 step routine, double cleansing has become a huge game changer for me. first cleanse is geared toward taking off the day, let’s be real pollution, sunscreen, dirt, oil, and makeup are going to be on your face at the end of the day. luckily there are a few options you can use to successfully remove these from your skin. Cleansing oil, balm, or micellar water are all great options for removing all the gunk off your beautiful face. second cleanse (the actual cleanse) is geared toward cleaning the skin and pores, while offering some light treatment benefits if the cleanser has active ingredients. what you’ll be left with after this process is clean skin and you can sleep peacefully knowing your expensive skincare isn’t sitting on top of oil, dirt, or makeup. 🌿🌿🌿🌿 My two favorite products as of late for my first cleanse are BIODERMA - Sébium H2O which is an incredible micellar water for those with oily skin and YADAH - Green Tea Pure Cleansing Balm 100ml which melts all your cares away with antioxidant rich green tea. I use the micellar water every night without fail if I’m not wearing a lot of makeup and I use the cleansing balm for days when i really need that deep clean or if I’m wearing a lot of makeup. Both are incredible cleansers and give me the peace of mind that i’m actually taking off my makeup. As for second cleanse my two favorites for the past few years are COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser and SOME BY MI- AHA-BHA-PHA 30 day miracle acne clear foam. The Cosrx is a super gentle cleanser that is PH balancing (your skin PH is around 5.5) and while it says good morning I tend to use it at night to prepare my skin for retinol or other chemical exfoliants. I will use the Some By Mi cleanser in the morning, while it could be drying for those with dehydrated skin, I find that it isn’t too harsh for me especially if I follow with a nice moisturizer and the Centella Asiatica does help calm my acne spots. 🌿🌿🌿🌿 Do you double cleanse? If so what’s your favorite 1st and 2nd cleanse products?

Dr Dennis Gross - Hyaluronic Marine Makeup Removing Meltaway Cleanser 💙Oil-free & hypoallergenic 💙Has a very light, pleasant scent, not overpowering 💙Contains beneficial ingredients like HA, Aloe & Marine Algae 💙 Feels soothing & hydrating on the skin I’m a double cleanse every night kind of girl, and I’ve really enjoyed switching up my normal oils/balms for this gorgeous cream cleanser. You can see how it lifts & melts makeup so easily! One thing I’m really loving is that it doesn’t leave a film like some oil/balm cleansers. If I am using this product as a first cleanse, I will still do a second cleanse as normal. I like the option that this is no-rinse, and I could see how two cleanses with this would be helpful to someone with extremely oily skin! You can pick it up now at Sephora. #drdennisgross #sephora #cleansingcream #cleansingbalm #doublecleanse Dr Dennis Gross - Hyaluronic Marine Makeup Removing Meltaway Cleanser

IndieLee is a brand that have sparked my interest for the past months. I'm impressed with the CoQ-10 Toner and now I'm in love with the Rosehip Cleanser. Here's the thing to note though - Indie Lee as a brand, is just a good egg. All products are naturally-derived, ethically-sourced and cruelty-free. The ingredients used are all up to spec, with all the usual suspect bad ingredients removed, making the line a good choice for those with sensitive skin. Although it said this cleanser will remove eye makeup when used directly with a wet cotton pad, I wouldn't waste it that way. Instead, I love to use this as my morning and second nighttime cleanser. It messages into my skin well with a little bit foam. It uses Sodium Olivate as the surfactant, which is inherently a bit more moisturizing and nourishing than harsh sulfates. For its gentleness, it's surprisingly effective at cleansing and leaves a very plush softness behind. I feel like my complexion reaches optimum levels of baby bum softness, which I rarely feel as a person who always struggles with clogged pores and acne. Plus, Rosehip Seed Oil is full of essential fatty acids and well-known for its youth-giving properties. For my dry-skin friends, I think you'll really get along with this product. And for oily skin like me, it adds comfort to the skin but without grease. I did a test by not using any skincare for an hour after using this cleanser to see how my skin acts naturally. Usually with other cleanser, my skin quickly becomes dry and tight, then after few minutes it becomes oily. But with this Rosehip Cleanser, my skin feels smooth and not dry or greasy at all. I think it helps my skin retain its moisture balance.

Double Cleansing Favorites!
Hi everyone! Just wanted to share my double cleansing process and a little about why I love them (and where they can improve)! First, I just want to start off and say I don’t double cleanse in the morning! Only for my nighttime routine. Even if I don’t wear any make up, because I like to make sure that all my sunscreen comes off! I start off with the DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil with a “dirty” dry face and rub my face with it from anywhere one minute to ten minutes. I watch a YouTube video and unwind by giving myself a facial massage. Obviously I don’t do this everyday. Some days I’m too lazy and just leave it at the 60 second mark. But I highly recommend giving yourself a calming massage to promote blood circulation around your face and prepare it for the serums that you’d like to add later on. PRO’s 🔹Olive Fruit Oil leaves the skin super moisturized and nourished! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR DRY SKIN! 🔹Vitamin E! 🔹Relatively short ingredient list that helps reduce the risk of mixing ingredients and having a bad reaction. 🔹Makes your skin feel silky smooth CON’s 🔸Rosemary oil is unnecessary and can be bad for sensitive skin. 🔸Olive oil can be harsh for oily skin I use water to make sure the oil is off my face. It turns white when it reacts to water because it uses Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate which is a self-emulsifying surfactant that makes it easier to wash off with water. Then, I go in with my THE BODY SHOP - Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser I use this one for no more than 60 seconds to make sure all the oil is off my face and my skin is clean (without that squeaky clean feeling)! PRO’s 🔹Polysorbate 20 helps water and oil mix and including this product alongside DHC makes sure that all the oil is off your face. 🔹It has White Willow Bark Extract, which is a natural form of salicylic acid. Meaning that it’s an ultra gentle exfoliation that’s great for acne/blemishes. 🔹Some tea tree oil that acts an an anti-inflammatory. Great for the mornings for a little boost to depuff the face. 🔹Glycerin is a GOAT in skincare and helps to moisturize the skin while cleansing. 🔹Tamanu oil that has regenerative properties on the skin 🔹It has a PH adjuster ingredient that means you can skip a toner and save money! 🔹Vitamin E! 🔹The tea tree oil it uses is community traded. Which means that it helps the direct economy of local farmers and is against slave trade which is very prominent in the skin care and make up industry. CON’s 🔸It has THREE perfuming ingredients that can be sensitizing for some skins. But, since it’s a wash off treatment it’s not too bad. 🔸Menthol can be very soothing, but not good for sensitive skin. Another amazing cleanser I like to pair with the DHC oil is the HOLI FROG - Tashmoo Water Lily Nourishing Milky Wash DRY SKIN: use the foam cleanser first, then oil OILY SKIN: use the oil first, then the foaming cleanser

Dear Tatcha, you’re out of this world! 🌎
Dear TATCHA - Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser I have been searching for an oil based cleanser for awhile now. Out of all the cleansing oils you are great cleanser for oil-control. Even as a cleansing oil for acne, I’m surprised you’re able to be used for all skin types. This is an appreciation post for all the things you do for my oily/combination skin. I love how you: - Keep my skin hydrated and supple. - Remove all my make up and left over grime at the end of the day. - Without clogging my pores. - Help restore my skin barrier. - Prevent signs of aging. - Don’t encourage breakouts with your non-comedogenic formula. - Remove grits from my sebaceous filaments through 50 Shades of Snail’s infamous method. - Contain camellia oil so you don’t disturb the balance of my skin type tending to overproduce oil. - Amazing cleansing oil for acne prone skin too, I saw no breakouts. First to the finishing line - that’s you! You’re one of the best cleansers for oil-control. I don’t have to worry about making my skin worse when it comes to using you. You do wonders for my skin leaving me fresh, soft and bouncy. Unfortunately, you are not one of the affordable cleansing oils out there but still u da best. 🤤
