Battle of the Toners 🥊

avatar
StephanieC96
💭 I remember when I was in high school, I would use toners as makeup removers. I cringe at that memory, specifically because it was an alcohol heavy toner that would burn my face and eyes every time... This memory made realize how misunderstood toners are and how much they’ve evolved! This post will give you a brief intro to the toners I use and why! ❗️Please do not use alcohol based toners. There is no need to be that silly. We can treat skin concerns without damaging your skin barrier.
Hydrating Toners: My favorite type of toner! I use it
almost every morning and night (when I don’t use exfoliants). I like these because they’re gentle and nourish your skin with the moisture it needs. It’s basically the prepping step so your next skincare products can absorb more efficiently into the skin. I have been using my rice toner for a while now and it’s a holy grail. Check out my other post for my review on it! I'm from - Rice Toner
AHA Exfoliation Toners: These are a wonder and come
in so many different formulations/percentages that I believe any skin type will be able to find their perfect match! I use these probably 2x/week max depending on if I’m using an AHA serum or not (I never use them together). I like these toners a lot better because I really do see a difference since using them long term. I’ve seen a huge decrease in dullness and breakouts! Be careful if you’re new to exfoliation or have sensitive skin. The YTTP might be a little too strong if you don’t have the tolerance but once you build up to it, it’s a fantastic product. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner
I’m not a fan of the Ole Henriksen one. It claims to reduce dark spots and it did not do it for me. I’m still using it just because I need to finish it. But would not repurchase. As for exfoliation, I think it might be a good starter but overall the fragrance aspect of it is not my favorite and I think you can find better exfoliation toners/serums out there. OLE HENRIKSEN - Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner
BHA Exfoliation Toners: You got an acne flare up? Milia?
Inflammation? Blackheads? This is your stop! BHA products are fat soluble so they dig deep in your pores and get rid of excess oils or dead skin. This in turn makes your pores look smaller, erase black head visibility and calm your acne inflammation! I bought the Paulas Choice BHA toner bc I kept getting blackheads around my nose and my hormonal acne needed to be tamed. The toner did just that and even made me look a little brighter/ glowy the next day! I love this product and even tho it markets that it can be used every day, I kind of just use it the weeks I feel that I need to treat my hormonal acne or if my pores are looking quite large. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator
💡Final Thoughts: Start with a small % & don’t overuse.

Got Dark Spots?! These Are My Fav Ingredients 💯
I struggle a lot with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation! I always get dark spots post breakouts. Once I started focusing on brightening my skin, it was a game changer! My complexion began to look so much more even and less spotty. These are my favorite brightening Ingredients that faded my dark spots! 💫 AHA's AHA's like lactic, mandelic, & especially glycolic acid all work by urging along your skins natural shedding process. It speeds up cell turnover to fade spots, brighten, & even skin. It also helps with skin texture and pores. But AHAs can be irritating, especially at higher percentages so it's important to do your research before buying a product. If you're new to exfoliating acids, I'd start with a gentle formulation. VITAMIN C Vitamin C has been shown to impede melanin production, which help fade dark spots & lead to a more even-toned complexion. It's also a great antioxidant & has MANY other anti-aging and skin smoothing benefits. And it can be used daily, which overtime will result in a dramatic change in your skin! NIACINAMIDE This is a powerhouse ingredient that can be used by almost anyone! To get a full run-down on niacinamide, PLEASE check out my post on it! Like Vitamin C, It also helps to slow down the production of Melanin & lighten dark patches. But it's less likely to be as irritating, and has more benefits and faster results. Especially for acne-prone skin. HYDROQUINONE Hydroquinone is a controversial ingredient, but has been found as the most effective ingredient for evening out your skin tone & fading dark spots. If formulated right, (which most hydroquinone products in the U.S are) then it's safe and super effective. Hydroquinone, again helps limit skin from creating an excess amount of melanin. The strongest you can get it over the counter is 2%, but prescription it's commonly 4% or even higher. ALPHA ARBUTIN Alpha Arbutin's sole purpose is skin lightening. It's a skin whitener, often used as an gentler alternative for hydroquinone. And It reduces melanin formation, improving the appearance of discoloration. I'm new to this ingredient, but I love it! Alpha Arbutin also pairs GREAT with Vitamin C, and Niacinamide for maximum brightening effects. RETINOL Retinoid is a popular, multi-tasking ingredient that works by prompting surface skin cells to turn over & die, making way for new skin cells. And it curbs the production of Melanin. It's one of the most researched ingredients on the market, and has great benefits for aging, and even acne prone skin. You also want to start at a low concentration of retinol, because it can be irritating and drying. AZELAIC ACID Azelaic acid is an underrated ingredient. It gently works wonders on hyperpigmentation & acne prone skin. It targets certain pigment production, & fades dark spots without lightening the normal skin tone. It does this by targeting melanin. AND it's safe during pregnancy! Side note: NONE OF THESE WILL WORK WELL IF YOU DONT USE SUNSCREEN ⚠️❗

Skincare Steps That Changed My Skin!!🌟
These are steps in the past year I've finally introduced into my skincare routine that changed my skin for the better! DOUBLE CLEANSING 🌟 I think back and wonder why the heck I ever used WASTEFUL, irritating, makeup wipes that never completely took off my makeup. And then, I thought I was upgrading when I bought a Neutrogena makeup removing foaming wash. It required harsh rubbing, especially around my eyes to remove my makeup. And it was not an enjoyable experience. I ended up with irritated, stripped skin. And my moisture barrier: DEMOLISHED. After watching Susan Yaras YT video over a skincare routine for people with clogged pores, I was finally convinced and bought the CAUDALIE - Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil . It's high in linoleic acid which helps loosen clogged pores, control sebum, and minimize breakouts. The oils in this cleanser help to replenish moisture and soften skin. (without clogging pores or causing breakouts!!) And it removes my makeup SO easily and CALMS my skin. Highly recommend as a first cleanse! WASHING MY FACE IN THE MORNING 🌟 I have combo and acne prone skin. Out of pure laziness, in the morning I used to go straight to applying my makeup right on top of the built up oil my skin produced overnight, and the bacteria from my pillow. Then it continued to sit on my skin all day! I would recommend cleansing in the morning with a simple, gentle cleanser like the CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser . It also just feels nice to start the day with a clean, fresh face. And a smooth canvas for the days makeup! EXFOLIATION 🌟 I first started my Journey of exfoliation with the RENÉE ROULEAU - AHA/BHA Blemish Control Cleanser . And wow, it completely made a difference with my texture/clogged pores. It has BHA which is oil soluble and helps with unclogging pores, and AHA'S which help to exfoliate the top layer and smooth rough texture. I only use it about every other day to avoid over exfoliation. I also love the OLE HENRIKSEN - Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner . It's a strong toner with high amounts of AHAS that really help with my texture and brightening my dark spots. I also LOVE the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Facial Radiance Pads which are PERFECT for people with sensitive skin and can be used daily. It has a blend of lactic and glycolic acids which help with brightening, texture and breakouts, and cucumber fruit water and Green tea to help soothe/hydrate the skin. SUNSCREEN 🌟 This is SO important and I avoided it for the longest time. It seems like such a chore but can be an enjoyable step. But NONE of your skincare products will mean/do anything without including a sunscreen to protect your skin. Especially if you're exfoliating and exposing new skin. I like the RENÉE ROULEAU - Weightless Protection 30 as well as #Murad - Essential-C Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30[products]#[FourStars] , which pairs as a moisturizer w/ Vitamin C! Sunscreen balanced out my skin tone so much too!

Asking for tips/suggestions!!!
The Ordinary - Retinol 1% in Squalane haven’t used it for a long period of time to give a review. But there are times i would apply this at night and my skin is feeling soft like a baby’s butt. The way i integrate this product in my routine, is that i would use this only as my active and the rest of my skincare is gentle and basic. Cerave hydratjng cleanser, kiehls calendula toner, then this serum, and finish it with a nourishing cream such as drunk elephant lalaretro whipped cream! I know retinol can be very drying which is why i used the moisturizer that has the most beneficial ingredients. I got myself two bottles thinking i would go through this quick, but i thought wrong. Which is why i started using it on my neck every day, i have some noticeable lines that i would like to get rid of. i would buff it with the cerave lotion, and apply a few drops on the palm of my hands and apply it on my neck and chest. I only use this once a week, ive learned it the hard way and used so much actives at once that my skin became hella sensitive. Any suggestions as to how i could benefit more to this serum? YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Tonerno ratings, because i haven’t used it yet! I ended up buying the smaller bottle of it, because for now i’m finishing up the drunk elephant aha/bha serum before i could try this product out. Please give me tips on how to use it, how i can incorporate it in my routine, should i just not have bought it at all? Lol 🆘

“NO FAIL” RETINOL ROUTINE - PM
I shared earlier this week my “no fail” AM skincare routine the products seen in that post I’ve used time and time again. They’ve never let me down and along with the ones listed here, are repurchases that keep my skin happy and healthy! Milk MAKEUP - Vegan Milk Cleanser I like to use this cleanser when my face needs a little extra pampering. Milk Cleanser is super soft and gentle and leaves my face feeling very nourished. INDIE LEE - CoQ-10 Toner same as used in the AM. I'm from - Rice Toner I honestly cannot get enough of hydrating products, especially when I am using my retinal. I have probably five open at this time and will use them all or a few at a time. This Rice Toner is so soft and smooth. If you’re into essences or toners this is a must try! I splash a few drops into my hand and then pat it onto my face leaving it wet until I add.... THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Serum I lock the Rice Toner in with HA. I am indoors most of the time, a bit of a recluse, but my skin still get very dry so I lock in the hydration first and end with the moisturizer! Medik8 - Crystal Retinal this is a bit expensive but well worth it to me because within weeks of use I saw significant changes. I’ve been asked my so many what I use for skincare as I have hardly any lines and I used to worship the sun with no sunscreen (⚠️) But I’ve been lucky and take very good care of my skin now. You only need a pea size amount of retinal for your face and add it to DRY skin. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask last up is my new favorite (on my second bottle), the YTTP Dream Mask. You only need a small amount with this and I go through about two a year as I use it every night. It’s gentle enough to use nightly but if you’re using other treatments you may want to alternate nights (if you have sensitive skin as it has vitamin c). You can put a light layer of moisturizer on before applying this but for me, this is plenty. The Crystal Retinal I use is non-drying so I am good with just the mask. But if your retinol tends to dry your face, I’d recommend adding a light layer of moisturizer before the dream mask. ⭐️ That’s it! You could eliminate the 2 toners (Co-Q10 & Rice Toner) and simplify it down to 4 steps. I’ll be sharing my PM exfoliating routine soon! One of my favorites!!! I never thought I’d love exfoliating so much 😂 Much ❤️ my @cherie family! 🍒 #cheriecreator

Before and After HALLOWEEN Skincare Tips 🎃💀👻
I love Halloween with the costumes, the treats, and scary movies. What's not to love. Sometimes we can get so wrapped up in the fun we can forget about our activities of daily living. So I just wanted to give you guys some tips on how to get through today!!! Before putting on your Halloween makeup remember to exfoliate, hydrate and prime your skin. Healthy nourished skin is the best base for any makeup routine. You can exfoliate and hydrate with one of my favorite masks dear, klairs - Youthful Glow Sugar Mask if you want a hydrating primer my go to is BOBBI BROWN - Vitamin Enriched Face Base Priming Moisturizer After dancing the night away in layers of makeup or walking the neighborhood with a scary mask on your face you will need to double cleanse. The best way to break down that makeup and dirt is with an oil cleanser. My favorites are BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Nourishing and I just tried FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm omg this stuff really breaks down makeup. Then follow up with a gel cleanser to really get in your pores and get the dirt out. I personally like NATURIUM - Mixed Greens Nutrient-Rich Cleanser they are launching a Niacinamide gel cleanser Nov 1 I'm excited to try it. After cleansing you can rehydrate your skin with a nourishing mask like I'm from - Honey Mask or TONYMOLY - I'm Real Aloe Mask Sheet both masks keep my skin plump and hydrated. Throw in a hydrating essence NATURIUM - Hyaluronic Acid Essence 2% or hydrating toner like I'm from - Rice Toner Skip the actives and finish with a hydrating moisturizer like FARMACY - Honey Halo Ultra-hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer Don't forget to hydrate. Water helps flush out those toxins, the candy and/or the alcohol. 😜 Water will help give your skin that healthy glow!!! If the makeup has left your skin irritated you can try adding some serums like Krave - Great Barrier Relief or epicuren DISCOVERY - Aloe Vera Calming Gel to your routine both calm irritated skin. The Krave serum will help soothe your skin while repairing your skins barrier. The Epicuren gel has green tea and camomile which a great anti inflammatory agents. What are your Halloween plans?? Are you still dressing up are you still participating in Halloween activities?? Hope these tips help!!!

Chemical Exfoliating 101
Exfoliating is the process of removing dead skin cells from the surface of your skin using a chemical and physical exfoliate. Naturally, your skin sheds its dead skin cells to make room for new cells every 30 days or so. On occasions, the dead skin cells do not shed properly. This leads to dry, flaky patches, and clogged pores. Exfoliating can help prevent in-proper shedding of skin cells. You and your skin can benefit from exfoliating because it can improve the appearance of your skin in several ways. Exfoliation can leave your skin looking brighter and improve/enhance your skin absorption of products. When you practice regular exfoliation, it can help to prevent clogged pores, which results in fewer breakouts! When you have been exfoliating for a long-term, you end up increasing collagen production. Chemical exfoliants are acids that get rid of dead skin cells. There are multiple different chemicals that you can used. There are a handful of different chemicals that are used. AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids)- popular AHAs include glycolic acid, lactic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid, and malic acid. These are water-soluble acids that are typically derived from sugary fruits. BHAs (Beta Hydroxy Acids)- the most popular BHA is salicylic acid. BHAs are oil-soluble. There are two other chemicals called PHAs and TXAs. Retinoids are also under the category of a chemical exfoliation. Weaker formulas can be bought over the counter, while stronger ones are usually applied by a dermatologist. Just like physical exfoliants, chemical exfoliants can irritate the skin as well. If you are unsure of how to incorporate a chemical exfoliant into your routine, see a dermatologist for guidance. If you are looking into incorporating chemical exfoliates into your routine, you should give a look into PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator, The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution, and THE inkey LIST - Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Toner.

🔍Worth the Hype? Niacinamide Edition✨
🔍Worth the Hype? Niacinamide Edition✨
⭐️ Niacinamide is a form of Vitamin B3, a wonderful ingredient that can benefit the majority of people as a result of its gentle nature. This ingredient is found in plenty of skin care and is a gentle topical treatment for acne and eczema It can be combined with nearly any ingredient in a skin care routine. With the exception of Ascorbic Acid/the pure form of Vitamin C 🍊 ⭐️ BENEFITS: 🤍Skin Barrier: can help your skin grow a ceramide lipid barrier, and promote skin protein repair, which in turn, helps retain moisture 🤍Redness & Blotchiness: reduces inflammation which may help ease redness from eczema, acne, and other inflammatory skin conditions 🤍Minimizes Pore Appearance: keeps skin smooth and moisturized (May over time naturally reduce the size of pores) 🤍Oil Production: regulates amount of oil the sebaceous glands produce, while also helping with moisture retention ***helping your skin hit that perfect moisture level 🤍Sun Damage Protection: reinforces the skin barrier to better protect healthy skin cells from UV ray damage 🤍Hyperpigmentation : 5% niacinamide concentrations can be helpful in lightening dark spots. Benefits were seen after four weeks - two months 🤍Minimizes Fine Lines/Wrinkles: 5% concentration was helpful in reducing some signs of sun damage that come with aging 🤍Acne: especially with inflammatory forms like papules and pustules, you may see fewer lesions and improved skin texture ⭐️Is it worth it? Considering Niacinamide has good research supporting its claims, thousands of positive reviews, and a nonirritating ingredient, then I would definitely recommend trying it. I loved my results after a few months, I am happy to now try the Ordinary. Especially for 6$ a pop (a highly inclusive price range🖤)! ⭐️What About my Sensitive Skin Rarely do people experience allergic reactions to Niacinamide, however, when trying any new product, (particularly active ingredients) concentrations matter ⚠️If you’ve NEVER used Niacinamide as a topical treatment then hitting your skin with a 10% concentration may cause a sudden reaction ‼️This does NOT automatically mean you’re unable to use Niacinamide ⚠️ If you shave your face or have broken skin/sores, avoid using until your next ⚠️ If prone to sensitivity then be weary of how you combine with high concentrations of irritating ingredient (e.g. BHAs) ⭐️Listen to your Skin: Your skin sends good & bad signals to let you know what works, so pay attention! Acclimate your skin to new products & patch test. Introduce serums at low concentrations (e.g. 5%) & find niacinamide in leave on treatments (e.g. toner & moisturizer) ‼️ burning and severe irritation? wash off immediately Other Products to Explore: Benton - Snail Bee High Content Skin (Toner) THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serum SOME BY MI - AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner COSRX - Galactomyces Alcohol-Free Toner PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Booster

Please Don’t Mix These!
Please Don’t Mix These!
Acids (actives) and retinol are awesome skincare ingredients. They can do a lot for your skin, such as increasing cell turnover, lightening acne and dark spots, smoothing texture, help acne, and exfoliating dead skin. However, it’s important to know what products you can mix and what you can’t. For example, you don’t want to include retinol in your skincare routine at the same time as an exfoliating toner, overnight exfoliating treatment, or acid spit treatment. What I’m saying is you don’t want to wash your face, tone with the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner , apply a retinol serum such as THE inkey LIST - Retinol Serum , and then use GOOD MOLECULES - Overnight Exfoliating Treatment or DERMA•E - Acne Blemish Control Treatment Serum . Not a good idea!! Why? Using these products together can cause over-exfoliation. Over-exfoliation goes beyond the typical bit of peeling and sensitivity that introducing retinol or acids can sometimes cause. You could end up with significant peeling, irritated spots, chemical burns, or any other adverse reaction specific to your body. I have over-exfoliated before by using the YTTP toner multiple days in a row. I had irritated, itchy, dry skin and little bumps formed on my forehead. Oops! It happens. But it could have been prevented. That’s why it’s important to read up on what skincare ingredients should and shouldn’t be mixed. Still want to use retinol and acids? Of course you can, but don’t use them at the same time! Apply your exfoliating toner (maybe not as strong as the YTTP one, though) in the AM and retinol or exfoliating serum in the PM. Or try applying 1 one day and another the next. Use your acne spot treatment alone. Most importantly, pay attention to your skin type and how it is reacting. If you have sensitive skin, you probably can’t exfoliate/use retinol even that frequently. I have dry skin, so I exfoliate and/or use retinol (never same day) 1-2x/week.

Textured skin who??
Textured skin who??
Brb drifting away into my fantasy of perfect skin with no texture. . Okay maybe that’s not realistic, but innbeautyproject’s Down to Tone toner gets me pretty close to a perfect complexion. This is a chemical exfoliating toner that works pretty damn well. After just a few days I noticed a huge difference in my little bumps and dark spots. innbeautyproject has an “Even out complex” in all of their products and from my experience it really works well. I couldn’t find this toner to tag it on here, but here’s my score and some other details about it. InnBeautyProject Down To Tone LIFE CHANGING TONER ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) + helps minimize texture as a chemical exfoliant. + slight itchy/tingly feeling, but the usual that comes with chemical exfoliation. + beautiful packaging and easy to use pump for cotton round. + pretty quick results + brightens and evens out complexion. + 6-acid blend *phytic acid, malic acid, gluconolactone, lactic acid, salicylic acid, and citric acid work together to dissolve the look of rough, dull skin & blackheads, leaving you clear & radiant.* + also includes Niacinimide to help further with texture and pores. No negatives so far! I’ve been using this everyday for almost a month and my skin’s texture is liking so good! iNNBEAUTY PROJECT - Down To Tone Resurfacing Toner Exfoliating Toner

Review : Cosrx AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner. Skin Type : Combination Skin This is not a sponsored review, I bought the product from my own pocket. 😃 First, I would like to thank @shofon.official because this is where I buy my Korean skincare products. 🔘I have chosen to try this toner because I watched and read many positive reviews from this product and the brand itself. So let’s get to this. 🔘Packaging wise it comes with a spray type bottle which I think so convenient because you can just spray it directly to your face. And the bottle is made from a very nice plastic material which you can bring anywhere, so handy. 🔘I have been using this toner as a part of my morning routine. This is my daily acid exfoliator, the product has ingredients mainly the AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) will exfoliate the outer surface of the skin and BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid) that penetrates the inner layer of the skin unclogging pores it has also antibacterial and anti inflammatory properties which prevent the skin from getting acne, and another benefit of this is it reduces the appearance of blackheads, whiteheads and blemishes. 🔘So far this product works well for me, I never had breakouts the moment i started using this. I noticed that when I apply it to areas that I have pimple it easily dries out. It doesn’t have any smell which is very good for me. It will not make your skin dry at all and it doesn’t have any sting sensation after applying this product. This is a very gentle toner 👍 🔘I also noticed that my skin looks much more brighter, some of the pigmentation is gone. But you need to have alot of patience before you see the results. Please be sure to use SPF when using in the morning! 💵Price point - it’s affordable. Final Verdict : ✔️I am definitely continue using this amazing product and will repurchase it ✔️I am very happy and satisfied with this amazing product and I want to recommend this to all who have the same skin type as mine ✔️Great for beginners because this is mild

Cheap Glow Must Have!!
Cheap Glow Must Have!!
I have combination oily skin that occasionally gets dry when the weather changes or just randomly when it decides to. My skin concern is acne scars (why my skin looks dull). I mainly have them along one side of my cheek. I received the GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner as part of a giveaway I won on Instagram and another one as part of a PR package from them. . Key Ingredients: Niacinamide (visibly brightens and improves the appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, dullness and blemishes), Licorice Root Extract (Soothes inflammation and inhibits excess melanin production), Naturally Derived Arbutin (improves the look oh hyperpigmentation), and Stable Form of Vitamin C (boost’s skin’s ability to defend itself against free radical damage and promotes collagen production). . Scent: None . Consistency/Texture: Liquid . Price: $14 for 120 mL / 4 fl oz . Experience: I have been using this a couple times a week for two months and have noticed an improvement in my acne scars! I use it typically 3-5 times a week (sometimes in the morning, sometimes at night, depending what else I’m using in that routine). After using it for this long and often, I still have about a fourth of the bottle left, so it definitely lasts a while. I’ve used it with both cotton rounds and as suggested using your hands and patting into skin and enjoy it both ways. It doesn’t sting or hurt at all, I love that it’s an alcohol-free toner. I’ve also noticed that even though I’ve still gotten some breakouts, I haven’t gotten as dark of scars afterwards. . Repurchase/Recommend: Definitely, it can be used AM and/or PM. It targets all of my main areas of concerns, like uneven skin tone, dullness, and visible pores, while also strengthening your skin barrier’s function. It also corrects the look of hyperpigmentation and soothes inflammation, while having Vitamin C! My skin seems to love this, plus I love how it’s so budget-friendly, will definitely purchase it!!

MIRACLE TONER
MIRACLE TONER
SOME BY MI - AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner This is a toner that is formulated with tea tree extract, witch hazel extract, papaya extract, lentil seed extract, swiftlet bird nest extract, and lotus extract. Moreover, it has niacinamide and adenosine for whitening and anti-wrinkle proprieties. As the product promotes, it has citric acid as a AHA, salicylic acid as a BHA, and lactobionic acid as a PHA. I’m not a big fan as citric acid as a AHA but it hasn’t done harm to my skin as far as I know. Some moisturizing ingredients include hyaluronic acid, glycerin, xylitol, allantoin, butylene glycol, and hydroxyethyl urea. I have been using this every night (except on my weekly exfoliating mask night) since May 29th. Although it’s formulated with AHA & BHA, it is very gentle! I’m over halfway through. I use this after cleansing with a cotton pad; sometimes I splash a good amount on my face with my hands and leave it for a couple of minutes then wipe with a toner-soaked cotton pad. I really like this toner, except for the peppermint essential oil, and I’m thinking about purchasing it again after testing out other stronger exfoliating toners. This toner gives me a healthy glow and has lessen my acne inflammation when I use it with íUNIK - Tea Tree Relief Serum (review coming soon—this is such a great serum). The reviews on YesStyle are very promising; skincare youtubers (like Hyram or BeautyWithin) also enjoy this product. I highly recommend you try this if you ever decide to order AB products on there.
