Basic Nighttime Routine for Normal Skin

avatar
Stacym
How to start a nighttime routine: These are some basic steps you could take when starting a nighttime routine. 1). Cleanser 2). Toner 3). Treatments 4). Eye cream 5). Moisturizer 6). Spot treatment It’s best practice to layer your products from lightest to heaviest/richest. I used the Marcelle micellar water to remove my makeup, then I followed with the Farmacy clean bee gentle cleanser. Next, depending on what your skin needs, this is where you apply your treatments; these can include hydrating serums, retinols, oils, peels, etc. I used TO‘s hyaluronic acid serum and then the TO’s cold pressed rosehip seed oil. It’s best to use water-based before oil-based. Then I will apply my eye cream and then my moisturizer. Lastly, you need to use a spot treatment, this is the time to do it. Cleansing your skin can be a great way to unwind at the end of the day. I personally find it really relaxing. I will only tone my face 2-3 x a week to detox/balance my skin, which I skipped tonight as I did so the previous night. Treatment is great to repair and protect your skin. The two I chose were hyaluronic acid to hydrate my skin, and the rosehip seed oil as it is a great antioxidant/fatty acid to promote cell regeneration, etc. And I always use an eye cream and face cream before bed for that extra hydration :) 1). MARCELLE - Micellar Water
2). FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser
3). The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
4). The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil
5). FIRST AID BEAUTY - Eye Duty Niacinamide Brightening Eye Cream
6). Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer

The Ordinary Ultimate Guide to Mixing & Layering✨
Antioxidants: They don’t pair well with water. Don’t mix it with other products on your hands at the same time, and wait around 30 minutes to 1h to move to the next step of your skincare. Or you could use your antioxidants and contradictory products at opposite times a day, one in the morning and one in the evening.  The Ordinary - EUK 134 0.1%: Avoid mixing with Acids, Vitamin C, L Ascorbic Acid 100%, and Copper Peptides. The Ordinary - Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%: avoid mixing with water-based formulas and Copper Peptides The Ordinary - Pycnogenol 5%: derived from pine trees. The most stable and friendly product to play with others. Avoid mixing with water-based formulas and Copper Peptides. However, the Vitamin Cs, retinol, and niacinamide can be used with this product. The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanseris good at everything. The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution: use only once a day. Be careful with other acid products when you use it. Try not to use it with any retinol, won’t make either of them very effective. Avoid mixing with most antioxidants, The Buffet, Copper Peptides. If you really want to use peptides, you should use the toner first and let it soak into your skin for around 10 mins, and then go for the peptides.  Acids:  The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution: it’s very strong, don’t use it alongside with other acids. Avoid mixing with EUK 134, any peptides, and 100% L Ascorbic Acid. After rinsing it off, you can use Niacinamide & zinc, or any of the hyaluronic acid products. The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%: comes as a cream, which is more stable. Always patch test before putting on your face. Avoid mixing with EUK 134 and Copper Peptides. Ascorbic acid powder or non-copper peptides MIGHT also cause irritations. Except these, this plays well with pretty much everything else. Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Mandelic Acid, and Salicylic Acid: avoid mixing with other acids, EUK 134, Copper Peptides, and 100% L Ascorbic Acid. Acid and Vitamin C can really sting and burn your skin.  All of the hydrators and oils really play well with other products, no contradictions at all.  The Ordinary - 100% Organic Virgin Sea-Buckthorn Fruit Oiland The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oilhave high amounts of beneficial properties to them. Pairing with a sunscreen if you want to use them during the day. The Ordinary - Amino Acids + B5: avoid mixing with other strong acids.  More Molecules: The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA: this plays well with pretty much everything. Be aware of other antioxidants because it is a water base. The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG: no contradictions. Water based serum. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%: avoid mixing with any Vitamin C products from the ordinary  Peptides: The Ordinary - "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1%: it doesn’t play well with anyone, specifically avoid mixing with acids, Vitamin C, and antioxidants. Same thing for the regular “buffet” even though it is much more stable.  Retinol: The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion: contains water, no antioxidants with it, except for the pine derived pycnogenol, which works very well with it. Retinol in squalene: oil-based. All of the ordinary’s retinoids play very well with their peptides.  Sunscreen: NO contradictions 🎉🎉 Vitamin C: avoid mixing with EUK 134, other acids, any peptides, and Niacinamide. Great with other vitamin C and sunscreens.  Check the link below to watch more details from Cassandra.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fnrqHWLS_U And let me know if you have any questions or thoughts about The Ordinary products. 💖💖💖

My Go-Tos to Combat Dry Skin
If my skin is ever feeling dry, especially with the cool weather coming, these are the two products I reach for the most: The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion I’ll use this in the PM. After cleansing, toning, etc., I’ll apply the CeraVe facial lotion and then apply the TO rose hip seed oil. I find they’re the perfect combination for when my skin is dry because when I wake up in the AM my skin feels so hydrated and soft.

Farmacy; mini brand review
Farmacy Beauty has been one of my favorite skincare brands at Sephora for quite some time now. I’ve tried about half of their products and for the most part I’m really happy with them. FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser - Amazing for oily skin! A really simple gel cleanser that gets all the dirt and sebum off the face. Foams up really well without stripping. Mild scent. FARMACY - Deep Sweep - An absolute must if you want to look into acne treatments. It has a water consistency that absorbs well into the skin. It helped reduce acne, appearance of pores, and inflammation. It does kind of smell like mouth wash though... FARMACY - Dew It All Total Eye Cream - This did absolutely nothing for me. It’s just a hydrating eye cream. It’s not worth the 30 some dollars I paid for it. It’s also hard to get the last little bits out of the container. Not worth the price. FARMACY - Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizer - It is a very lightweight gel moisturizer but it didn’t blow me away. I remember being super underwhelmed with this product and I stopped using it halfway through only to pick it up later down the line and feel the same way. There are better on the market. FARMACY - Bright On Massage-Activated Vitamin C Mask - Did nothing for me FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask - Very hydrating and very fun! It’s a thick mask that warms when rubbed into the face. If you have dry skin you’ll love how nourishing this is. FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm - I absolutely love this for removing make up. It has a little bit of a slip to it but it rinses off really well and doesn’t leave your face greasy. It gets all the stubborn eyeliner and mascara off easily. FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya - I love this for oily skin! The gel formula is very hydrating and sinks into the skin without feeling too heavy. Works great under make up! #CheriePartner

Eye Creams
Luxury or Necessity? Eye creams or gels may be one of those products that isn’t really necessary in a skincare routine, but I still use them like they are. 🤪 There are statements made that any moisturizer will do the trick, and there is no need to spend loads of money on a “glorified moisturizer” because eye creams and moisturizers are formulated the same. Some say the skin around the eye is too delicate for a normal moisturizer, and that something gentler is required for the thinner skin. I am currently using the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Eye Duty Niacinamide Brightening Eye Cream during the day for its brightening and smoothing effects. It helps me look like I got adequate sleep. 😂 I love the peachy glow you get after application as well. This was my replacement for the OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème that I loved so much! In the evening, I’ve started using the @glowrecipe GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Face Mask . No results to report on as it it too soon to say if/how well it works. Prices: 1) Banana Bright - $52 for 0.5 oz. 2) Eye Duty - $48 for 0.5 oz. 3) Avocado - $56 for 0.5 oz.

Pearly texture✨
Recently added this eyes cream on my skincare routine & I love it! FIRST AID BEAUTY - Eye Duty Niacinamide Brightening Eye Cream When I first applied this under my eyes I thought it was way too shiny & glittery but after it settles down it looks so good! I still haven’t tried this under makeup to see how it works but for no makeup days it’s amazing. This claims to reduce dark circles & that’s what I’m more excited about.✨ Is eye cream part of your routine?

Clear Hormonal Acne in 2-3 weeks ! (Routine) ✨
So I’ve done a lot of post about acne and skin, so I thought it was time to show my results ✨ This is a no filtered photo of my acne progress. Hormonal acne? So acne is crazy unpredictable, but there is usually an identifiable trigger each time (Fungal, Allergic Reaction, Overproduction of oil, etc). Hormonal acne is usually identifiable by bumps on chin, cheek, jaw line, and sometimes even forehead. The numbers This effects teens the most! 80% of teen acne is hormonal related. Why? Puberty of course! 55% of adults (50% of women) suffer from hormonal acne! Why? For women, we still are having our periods and now we’re in our “baby making years” (my acne is postpartum for reference). How to treat it! Oil control: high level of hormones can produce excess oil Cleanse daily Acne topical treatment: salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, retinoids My routine(I have combo/more oily skin) I TREAT MY ACNE AT NIGHT (focus on hyperpigmentation during my daytime routine) Cleanse: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser I use this majority of my nights! It’s very gentle and hydrating without being overbearing CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin I use this 3 times a week! (Monday, Thursday, Saturday) it’s not strong at all ! It does dry my skin out slightly so I follow with my Toner & hyaluronic acid serum! Tone: PAULA'S CHOICE - Enriched Calming Toner this toner is AMAZING! It’s marketed for dry skin but honestly my combo/oily skin loves it. I use this every night no matter what ! Serums The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I use this when my skin is dry from the SA cleanser The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% great for treating acne & oily skin. I use this every night and let it work in for 5 mins. Treatment DIFFERIN - Acne Treatment Gel I use this as my treatment of choice. It took about a full month and a half before I saw difference (from purging and retinization) BURT’S BEES - Natural Acne Solutions Maximum Strength Spot Treatment Cream I ONLY use this when I need to get rid of a terrible spot. I DO NOT USE this with Differin gel. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I use this once a week only ! Do not use with Differin gel or Salicylic acid treatment! Moisturizer CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion Favorite moisturizer! I use this majority of my nights Cliganic - 100% Rosehip Oil I use this with my moisturizer! Great for acne control I also love to drink green tea with turmeric.

Nighttime skin routine
so this is my nighttime skin routine. I do this right before bed or when I come home from work depending on how tired I am I never miss a day. I have combination to oily skin. I also have sensitive skin. I have acne and rosacea on my forehead. Most of the products I use are recommended by a YouTuber Hyram. In the night time depending on my skin if I have a breakout I use either Face wash with my FOREO - LUNA mini 3 every couple of days I use tarte - Knockout Tingle Treatment Toner As a exfoliating treatment. I have to say I have never used exfoliating treatments before and this Gives me results in a day or two. At first it is very tingly and Itchy but then you build up a tolerance to it I started off once a week now every two or three days. Depending on if I have a break it or not I use The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% or My skin is dry The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Yesterday I have purchased theCeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion Because I read reviews that it is good for red inflamed skin end it does help but it is very oily when I wake up. I am on a journey to find a good night moisturizer that Will help moisturize my skin and fight against my rosacea. I have also ordered the ordinary toner to see if that one is any good. I also have belief true Aqua balm moisturizer ordered since I tried a sample and loved it for my daytime moisturizer. I have also got the clinic acne spot treatment ordered. All great products recommended by the YouTuber I watch. Hopefully my skin get a little more better.

PM Routine for Normal Skin
I always maintain a similar nighttime routine but find I like changing through products, such as a different AHA toner, a different face cream, a different eye cream, or a different face wash. However, the foundation of it remains the same: cleanse, tone, hydrate. I usually go for a more hydrating routine for both the AM and PM. Tonight I used products that I love and that I know suit my skin type: (mostly) normal. 1). I started with the MARCELLE - Micellar Water (light blue bottle for waterproof makeup) to remove my waterproof mascara. I have yet to find a better micellar water. It’s so effective yet so gentle. If you can suggest one that does a great job with waterproof mascara please let me know :) 2). I cleansed my face with the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel It’s soap free me doesn’t dry out my skin and makes me feel so clean and refreshed. 3). My new favourite toner: it’s so gentle yet so effective at removing excess dirt, makeup, balancing my skin’s pH, etc. PESTLE & MORTAR - Exfoliate Glycolic Acid Toner 180ml 4). I always add in hydration when I can and this product is perfect for that (and pre-serums!) NIOD - Superoxide Dismutase Saccharide Mist Think toner/meets essence/meets serums/meets bye bye oxidative stress and hello hydration! Lol. I feel it boosts the effectiveness of my skincare products. 5). I keep my face damp from the SDSM mist and then apply my PESTLE & MORTAR - Pure Hyaluronic Serum This is sooooo beautiful and hydrating. I love it beyond words! Haha. 6). I then applyBIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream I’m obsessed with this eye cream. It’s so hydrating but light. It doesn’t make my under-eyes feel greasy. It’s my go-to for the day and to wear under makeup. 7). Last but not least, I love a super hydrating face cream for the night. This one is hydrating but not heavy or greasy, which is perfect for me YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi ❤️🤍

The Best Drugstore Micellar Water
MARCELLE - Micellar Water This is my go-to for removing waterproof mascara! It’s alcohol free, fragrance free, and hypoallergenic! This means is perfect for sensitive skin, however it claims to be good for all skin types :) I’ve used this products for over a year now and have gone through so many bottles. It sells for approximately $14 CAD which, to me, is a great price since it lasts for so long. I love this for removing waterproof mascara but it’s also great for removing any type of face make up. I use this every night that I wear mascara, even for non-waterproof as it just makes it that much quicker. With waterproof mascara I find this removes it a lot faster and easier than other micellar waters I’ve tried. I simply dampen a cotton pad and let it soak on my eyelashes for a few seconds and then gently rub my eyelashes until all of my mascara is gone. The great thing about micellar water is that you don’t have to wash it off, however, I usually wipe the residual product off as I apply my other skincare afterwards and don’t feel I need to leave it on. My verdict: I rate this product 5/5 because I can’t think of anything I don’t love about it. It’s affordable, removes waterproof mascara quickly, is fragrance free, is great for sensitive skin, and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling oily. Oh! And this product contains argon oil which is great for nourishing, moisturizing, and regenerating.

My Daily Skincare Routine🌻
CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin -This cleanser I’ve been using for years now and honestly it worked really well for me and I just feel nice and refreshed, and best of all? MY SKIN DOESN’T FEEL TIGHT AND DRY AFTER USE!😆 pixi - Glow Tonic -This is a newer toner that I’ve been using for a couple of months and I like it, but I’m definitely not in love with it. Definitely want some new toner recommendations so flood the comment section🌊 Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer -Now This moisturizer I’ve also been using for years and I absolutely love it, it’s just not super cost affective. But the way it soaks into the skin super quick is really nice. And it smells like skin care which I love!💙 —————————————————————————————————— 💓What I would love from you guys💓 -Send me down any recommendations for acne treatments.😫 (for both white heads and black heads) -What should I use for my morning routine? (Cause I have no clue)🤷‍♀️ -And spread some love my beauties😍

The tip to flawless, full coverage foundation!
When purchasing a primer and foundation order at Mecca Maxima, I wanted to have a full coverage but still a flawless, natural looking foundation. I decided to invest in some products that helped created my flawless base but still very full coverage - perfect for events and going out makeup! Prepping the skin. To prepare for my foundation, I prepped my skin starting out with a moisturiser I decided to use Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer which is perfect for a hydrating, dewy glow which will keep the makeup hydrated! I then primed with my BOBBI BROWN - Vitamin Enriched Face Base Priming Moisturizer which is my newbie I have fallen in love with! It really sets a really good base for makeup to go on flawlessly. Foundation? The foundation I decided to buy is the MAC - Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 Foundation which I was really hesitant to buy since I have quite dry skin and this is quite a matte foundation but to make it work I mixed in one drop of trilogy - Certified Organic Rosehip Oil this allowed my foundation to be more dewy and took away the matte affect. I find this method is perfect because I can still use a great coverage foundation without the dry patches! Application? I first applied with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush to apply the foundation on my skin which I used circular motions to buff the foundation into my skin flawlessly, after using two layers on my whole face, I then used a damp beauty blender which I used to press the foundation into my skin even more which allowed my makeup to be fully blended in! Coverage? The first layer of foundation built up to a nice medium coverage but with two layers my makeup was FULL coverage which I really love and no cakiness due to the moisturiser, primer and rosehip oil. Results? With the use of prepping the skin and mixing rosehip oil into my foundation, it created an amazing hydrated, flawless base which my concealer, powder, blush and bronzer applied beautifully! You don’t have to use the Mac foundation at all! You can try this with any foundation whether it’s drugstore or high end I really recommend testing out the Bobbi Brown Face Bace and adding rosehip oil to your foundation and using the techniques to see if it works as good for you! Thanks so much for reading, feel free to leave any Q’s 😊

Hydrating PM Routine
Hydrating PM Routine
I don’t always use the same products since I have so many; I like to change things up. Tonight I was going for more of a hydrating routine. Step 1: I cleansed my face with the FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser This cleanser is, as the name suggests, ultra gentle and soothing. I apply this to wet skin and massage it in, ensuring I get the dirt and oil, etc. from the day off. Rinse with warm water and you’re good to go. This smells great and I’m obsessed with honey and bees so this is heaven for me. Step 2: I don’t always use a toner but tonight I felt like it. I used an old faithful: REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Toner I love this toner because it smells amazing and it gets rid of anything I may have missed while cleansing. I like using a toner when I feel like I need to exfoliate and help out my pores. I love the glow this toner gives my skin. Step 3: I can’t remember the last time I skipped out on using The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I use this every day, twice a day. AM and PM. I cannot get enough of this. I rarely have dry skin anymore because of this product. It keeps my skin so hydrated. Step 4: My other love is the The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I love the Inkey List niacinamide as well, but I felt like I should pair TO with TO. Like I said above with toning, I like to keep my pores in check and this is wonderful for doing so. It decreases their appearance and if I have a spot this clears it up so quickly! Step 5: In keeping with wanting my skin to feel extra hydrated, I went with the The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil This light-weight oil is super hydrating. It’s also a great alternative to a moisturizer but is also great to mix with a moisturizer. Whenever I use this in the PM, I wake up and my skin looks really glowy and I’m all about that. Step 6: Hydrate and moisturize your under eyes if you feel like they’re looking a little dry or dull. I love love love this eye cream: OLAY - Eyes Brightening Eye Cream It smells nice and fresh, has brightening effects, and is super moisturizing. Whenever I want to add that extra moisture under my eyes this is what I reach for. Step 7: I sometimes mix the Rose Hip Seed Oil with the The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA but tonight I decided to use these separately. I adore this moisturizer because it’s really hydrating and gentle. It’s not greasy and it doesn’t clog my pores. I don’t always use a moisturizer after using Rose Hip Seed Oil but because I wanted to really moisturize my skin, I added this. Step 8: I like to add a lip scrub on occasion and I love this honey flavoured one :) It smells great and it makes your lips feel hydrated and so soft SEPHORA COLLECTION - SEPHORA COLLECTION Lip Balm & Scrub

Review My [AM] Routine!
Review My [AM] Routine!
I have super dry, reactive, eczema-prone skin! I amazingly somehow have large pores and dry skin (I know) and get barrier damage easily. My routine goes: 1. Wash my face with PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Cloud Cream Cleanser it is my FAVORITE cleanser ever and works SO well for my dry skin AM because it adds moisture to my skin before I even start with my products. Even after like the night before I tend to wake up with dry skin and this is such a huge help. I use a green tea or turmeric konjac sponge with it depending on my concern for the day (green tea when I’m feeling a little more broke out and turmeric when I’m extra dry) and pat my face with a bamboo washcloth. 2. Prep my skin for product with Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Toner this is more an essence than a toner, I probably won’t buy it again because I think there are better products with this function BUT it was not cheap so I’m using it all up before I buy anything else. 3. MY SAVIOR VICHY - Minéral 89 Face Serum with Hyaluronic Acid this stuff just really keeps my skin bouncy and hydrated all day long I started with a trial size and bought the full size because I was so obsessed. 4. I don’t like the texture of The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% so I mix it in with my Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream and it makes a perfect AM gel cream that keeps my pores in check while moisturizing! Niacinamide has really done wonders for my skin and I use it in both my AM and PM routine because I just love it. 5. I treat my eyes with Big Cloud Fix from Dollar Shave Club’s Eye Savior and omg it’s the best product no one uses! It’s full of niacinamide, caffeine, and just does wonders for my dark eye circles. After that sets I will use Kiehl's - Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado because I get really dry under eyes and want to prevent wrinkles with a lot of moisture. 6. If I’m having trouble with my eczema or used actives the night before and have some sensitivity I will use LA ROCHE-POSAY - Cicaplast Baume B5 for Dry Skin Irritations to help repair my barrier further (the niacinamide helps tremendously with that issue as well). 7. Of course, no AM routine is complete without quality sunscreen! I am OBSESSED with PETER THOMAS ROTH - Max Mineral Naked Broad Spectrum SPF 45 Uva/Uvb Protective Lotion right now because it leave no white cast and is a mineral sunscreen! Due to my reactive skin, chemical sunscreens tend to cause sensitivity and flare my eczema so mineral sunscreens are a must for me. This one is gorgeous and has a skin perfecting tint to it that blends seamlessly with your skin tone (I’m very pale and it does not cause any issues for me). This may seem like a long routine, but it takes only five minutes max and has helped me so much to layer moisturizing and hydrating ingredients!

First Post: Basic PM Routine
First Post: Basic PM Routine
I’ve been pairing my routine down to some simple basics as I deal with some skin barrier fallout; I jumped into my new tretinoin prescription too quickly, and stripped my skin pretty badly! I’ll be doing some more in-depth reviews of these basics soon, but here are a few one-line reviews for now. The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser As a first cleansing step, this is fairly basic, and I really enjoy the simple INCI list. Wearing anything but SPF, powder, or waterproof mascara? It’s not gonna cut it. HOLI FROG - Tashmoo Water Lily Nourishing Milky Wash I bought this cleanser a few months ago, and wasn’t sold right away - but with a low pH (key!) and simple ingredients, Tashmoo is growing on me. CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream Basic, moisturizing, cheap - but it’s starting to cause some milia. Meh. The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA I kind of love this, but find it leaves me matte at first, then progressively shiney through the day. Starting to use it at night only, and it’s working wonders on my skin. elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 Derma recommended, great ingredients, sinks in well with no cast, but does leave me dry after a few hours. I’ll be back with a Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream review this week - it’s my first time using it, and I’ve got some strong feelings already!

Basic Morning Routine for Normal Skin
Basic Morning Routine for Normal Skin
For this routine, I used almost all gel products because they’re light-weight and don’t leave your skin feeling like you’ve just used 6 products. Plus, with it being summer I don’t like using anything too heavy. All of the above products are very gentle and hydrating and leave my skin with such a nice glow. I think this is great for those with normal-combination skin. Like I’ve said in previous posts, I always use hyaluronic acid after cleansing my face. What’s better than waking up and starting your day off with a clean, hydrated face? I also love the wide awake brightening eye cream because it is a gel-formulation and it doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy and just smells lovely. The vitamin C cream just gives the nicest glow when used in conjunction with these products or on its own. It’s my go-to the last couple of weeks! Vitamin C in the summer just feels right haha. Antioxidants are the best! And my favourite face cream is the extra dry Neutrogena hydro boost. It’s fragrance free and hydrates your skin, leaving is so soft to the touch and doesn’t cause any irritation. And because it’s summer and I used vitamin C, I had to follow with sunscreen. I chose to go with the spray as it’s quick and easy to use and super light on the skin. (I forgot to include a photo of the cleanser and sunscreen I used but will tag them below. I’ve done reviews for all the products below which is why I haven’t gone into much detail on them in this post 💚) Step 1: Cleansed my face with CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin Step 2: The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Step 3: SATURDAY SKIN - Wide Awake Brightening Eye Cream with Avocado Step 4: REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Glow Daily Vitamin C Gel Cream Step 5: Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer (extra dry) Step 6: Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Face Mist Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 55

Glow Daily Vitamin C Gel Cream
REN CLEAN SKINCARE-Glow Daily Vitamin C Gel Cream
This is todays routine, I like
This is todays routine, I like to keep it lightweight in the warm weather otherwise my face melts off 😅 Jurlique revitalising cleansing gel- I’ve been sampling this and I’ve been loving it! Its a lightweight gel cleanser packed with botanicals - it rebalances oil and leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean without feeling tight or too drying like other gel cleansers. It also smells of peppermint 🍃 which I love. The Ordinary The Buffet serum- I’m not sure wether this is making me break out a little?... ever since I’ve been using it I’ve been suffering with breakouts. I really don’t want this to be the culprit because I was so excited to be using this - an anti ageing serum packed with peptides and Hyaluronic acid. I’m going to persevere with this and see if it keeps happening. If it does I’ll stop usage and see if it clears. Cerave Eye contour repair- My eyes are sensitive And this is the only eye cream I’ve used that doesn’t sting my eyes. Origins Ginzing energy boosting gel moisturiser- Loved this for a while- it’s the perfect daytime moisturiser and sits beautifully under make up! Nivea Hydrocare spf15 lip balm- I apply this over my lip liner. La Roche-Posay Anthelios spf 50+ sunscreen - sampling this, So far so good. Does leave a slight white cast but sinks in quick!

Review My Routine
Review My Routine
Hi!! Here is the morning routine I used today 😌 My skin type is normal thanks to consistency with products. Step 1: I cleansed my face and neck with the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel I love it because it’s soap-free, oil-free, paraben-free, non-comedogenic, & hypoallergenic. Because it contains hyaluronic acid — which I’m obsessed with — it leaves my skin feeling so fresh, clean, and hydrated. This cleanser is a light-weight gel. The tiniest amount lathers beautifully to remove dirt, oil, makeup, etc. This cleanser really does make my skin feel hydrated. No tightness or dryness after using this. Step 2: I spritzed my face and neck with NIOD - Superoxide Dismutase Saccharide Mist This is a mouthful, I know. It’s also referred to as SDSM. It’s essentially a face mist that prevents against damaging environmental effects & improves your skin’s hydration. It also aids with fine lines, discolouration, & dullness. Think toner but MORE amazing & beneficial. I love using this in the AM because it instantly leaves my skin feeling so refreshed and hydrated. This is best applied after cleansing and before other treatments. Step 3: While my skin was still damp from the NIOD mist, I applied the The Ordinary - Marine Hyaluronics I love HA so much and when I read about this in one of @Mallory‘s posts I had to try it. Only having used it twice (this morning and tonight) I’m already obsessed! It’s more watery than The Ordinary’s HA + B5 but works in the same way by attracting and holding water and therefore hydrating your skin. The marine hyaluronics are lighter than HA and has a lower viscosity. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling tacky. It makes your skin feel hydrated & lovely. Step 5: I adore vitamin C and having glowy skin, and the REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Glow Daily Vitamin C Gel Cream is the perfect product for that. While I do love other vitamin C products, I love how quick and easy this is to apply. This is a gel cream and I generally apply 1 pump to my finger tips and apply it onto my face and neck. This leaves your skin looking radiant & bright. Not only is it super hydrating, it also neutralizes pollutants. I love how is absorbs into my skin, making it feel soft & hydrated. Step 6: Next I apply the BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream I am obsessed with this eye cream. I find it blends nicely, makes my under-eyes feel hydrated, and smoothes out my skin which makes the application of my concealer look so nice. Step 7: I use my favourite moisturizer,Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Cream on my face and neck. It makes my skin feel so hydrated and soft :) Step 8: Lastly, sunscreen: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50 This is amazing! No white cast and leaves a lovely glow :) ❤️🤍 -Stacy
