Dark skin makeup favorites! ✨Who says black girls can't try pastels?
This year, pastel makeup is such a hot trend, and I love it soooooo much! I know so many people say that pastel makeup doesn't look right on dark skin tone, but it's not the thing! We black girls can also get this style gorgeously with these best makeup products! My skin type: Dark Foudation: LANCÔME - Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation$47 Lancôme really has many amazing colors for dark or deep skin tones! I love their TEINT IDOLE ULTRA 24H LONG WEAR FOUNDATION the most as this is super long-lasting and smudge-proof! Especially during this quarantine, I can wear this foundation under a face mask without worrying about the stains! Concealer: NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer$30 NARS is an amazing brand for women with darker skin tones as they have concealers with many different undertones like golden, neutral, olive, deep, and so on. My favorite NARS concealer comes in a deep cocoa color, which can brighten up my under-eyes powerfully, even on my dark skin tones! The formula is also creamy and lightweight, leaving a natural-looking finish for a soft effect. I've used the shade in Dark Coffee with a neutral undertone here. Eyeshadow: ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Vol. 2 £68.00 The key to pastel makeup is the eyeshadows. To achieve a perfect eye makeup look, you must carefully choose the colors based on your skin tone. For people with reddish undertones, try pinks and yellows. If you have yellow undertones, turn to blues and purples. For we black girls having dark or deep skin, the makeup tip is that super-light pinks, blues, lavenders, and whites risk making you look ashy and washed-out, so it's important to avoid using those colors a lot on your makeup. My favorite eyeshadow palette is ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Vol II! This palette has many colorful shades so Lipstick: BLK/OPL - Colorsplurge Risqué Matte Lipstick $8.75 Black Opal is an amazing drugstore brand and is really friendly to the women of color! They have so many different shades so I can find one to suit my skin tone best! My favorite shade is Bon Bon with a lovely nude shade, which is super pigmented and moisturizing. I find this color is also ideal for matching my overall pastel makeup look without leaving a dramatic finish! If you are also into pastels, these are really amazing products you can't miss! Definitely fell in love with the colors and how it’s super pigmented! This baby packs!!! Even without primer it’s amazing!! The brand itself is high quality and it’s definitely worth it. Even their falsies are amazing. It honestly is fluffy and I love the length! ABH never fails ❣️

Fashion was bright and colorful in the 1990s. Here's some key products to create a fancy 90s vintage makeup. A pink blush: Heavy pink blush plays a big role in the '90s makeup. Remember to choose a pigmented pink blush. Remember to prepare your colorful eyeshadow palettes! I always choose purple, pink, and blue. (Fancy colors!) Don't forget to apply eyeliners in thick layers around the eyes.

Minty eyes and dewy skin 🌿
It was cloudy day today and I wanted to experiment with greens, I wanted to do something bold and bright. I usually never reach for greens but I have a colorful eyeshadow palette and looking at the colors males me want to use them. I ended up with a dewy minty eye look. For primer (not pictured) I used touch in sol glassy balm primer. It hydrate my skin and makes it look dewy. touch in SOL - Pretty Filter Glassy Skin Balm For foundation I used the pūrlisse youth glow vitamin C CC cream spf 50 in Fair. I got this in my Ipsy bag a couple months ago and I’ve been loving it. pūrlisse - Youth Glow Vitamin C CC Cream SPF 50 Concealer I used a cult classic, NARS radiant creamy concealer in vanilla. This is one of my favorites. It gives me a natural look. NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer For brows I used my absolute favorite brow pencil and it’s the elf instant brow pencil. I’ve been using this for years and it’s the one I always come back to. Super affordable too! e.l.f. - Instant Lift Brow Pencil BH cosmetics take me back to Brazil palette- I love this palette. So many different colors to choose from and really pigmented. bh - Take Me Back to Brazil 35 Color Pressed Pigment Palette I used my essence eyeliner pen in young and free (pastel yellow). It’s a super cute color. I decided to add some dots to the outer edge of my green eyeshadow. essence - essence Eyeliner Pen I used milk makeup kush mascara and it’s really nice. It separates my lashes and makes them look longer too. Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara I used Sephora collection gel lip liner in creme de la creme to line my lips a little bit. SEPHORA COLLECTION - Rouge Gel Lip Liner For my lips I used glossier’s vinylic lip in the shade disco. It’s like a terra cotta/orangey tint to it. It’s my first time using it and I’m already in love. It also has some shine to it so my lips won’t be dehydrated. Glossier. - Vinylic Lip High Shine Lacquer For blush I used glossier’s cloud paint in dawn, it’s a orangey sunny coral color. I used a little bit of this and it’s super pretty. I love it. Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color

BEST foundation 📣
I’m gonna get right to it. I personally think LANCÔME - Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation is better than ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation BUT they’re both good PROS OF TEINT IDOLE It has sunscreen, Double Wear doesn’t. it’s medium to high coverage and it’s buildable, so if you want to go natural, go natural. If you want your makeup to look beat, you can go high coverage too. The foundations is very versatile and you can use it how ever you want it has pump. Double Wear does NOT have a pump. If you want a pump for Double Wear, it’s $10 more. it’s vegan, cruelty and non-comedogenic. it’s transfer free sooooo if you wear white, it wouldn’t transfer or leave a mark like other foundations. it’s water resistant !! the colors were tested on thousands of women and Lancôme chose 95% of the colors that all women across the world have. If I’m not mistaken, they currently have 45 shades and there will be more to come!! CONS TEINT IDOLE it’s US $47 and Double Wear is $43. BUT they don’t charge you tax on the teint idole because it has sunscreen (ONLY IN TEXAS). Double Wear with taxes is around US $46 something. Same price basically and they’re both 1 fl. oz I don’t recommend for sensitive skin
What even is my skin type?
Am I the only one who struggles figuring out what skin type they are? I know you can buy products for certain skin types. But sometimes I feel like I am all the skin types! It changes all the time. Like my skin makes no sense to me. I cannot figure it out. And I struggle to buy the right products because of this. It’s so frustrating! Ugh! I don’t want to waste money on products that won’t work for me because of my “skin type” but I just honestly think I have the rarest skin... like sometimes it can be oily, sometimes very dry, sometimes very acne-prone... I just don’t understand what it wants lol. I do know that my skin is so incredibly sensitive, and I cannot stand it sometimes! It is so high-maintenance! I know I shouldn’t use too many products because that can also be damaging. I just don’t get it, I don’t know what to do! I have recently ruined my skin barrier because of buying the wrong products, and it really scared me! I was in so much pain and my face felt so so tight. Every product I used burned. It was awful! Does anybody have any advice? I am really struggling. 😏 I work so hard to keep my skin healthy and I often think I just make it worse! Such a waste of time and money buying and using the wrong products for me! I don’t have much money to spend on expensive skin care options... I have heard about some that are just too costly. If you are like me, recently, the only products that have worked for me and my ridiculously demanding skin are: bliss - Drench & Quench Moisturizer Walgreens - Daytime Facial Moisturizer and using the face wash CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser LANCÔME - Advanced Génifique Face Serum SheaMoisture - African Black Soap Problem Skin Moisturizer Also, the foundation I always come back to is LANCÔME - Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation it lasts me such a long time. I know it is kind of expensive but it is actually worth the money. It stays on longer than any other foundation I have tried! Also, if your skin gets oily throughout the day like mine, use their powder LANCÔME - Dual Finish Multi-Tasking Lightweight Pressed Powder Foundation the powder has lasted me such a long time too! It has been like 2 years and I still have it! Some of the products I have wasted money on and that I am not impressed with: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Pure Vitamin C Face Serum LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Clarifying Solution Acne Toner LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin I only used these for about 3 weeks so maybe I didn’t give it enough time, I just know that my face was so dry from the face wash and the toner, and they are supposedly good for sensitive skin.

Honey Tones With Urban Decay
Urban Decay Stay Naked Weightless Foundation Stay Naked Weightless Liquid Foundation is fantastic for my skin. It’s light to medium coverage matt finish foundation with a reflective pigment. My shade is 61NN, making it easy to look natural, moisturizing for all skin types and vegan. No nasties in this foundation, no parabens, and no palm oil - the foundation has a silk liquid feel, glides on smoothly, and stays in place throughout the day. Fifty shades to choose from, you can guarantee a match to your skin color. Urban Decay Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette I love this palette because of the shade range. It’s the best palette Urban Decay has ever created. The texture is good, heavily pigmented creamier, and easy to apply - such a long-lasting formula with no fallout. Just like it says, twelve golden honey shades, three different textures just like the spotlight palette, creamy, silky mattes, smooth shimmers, and sparkly metallic eye shadows. To create this look, I used Keeper all over the lid and under the lashes and then a mixture of Hive and Drip on the outer edge and in the socket of my eye, and I finished with Sting in the teardrop of my eye. For an interview or casual day look, I love the Naked Honey Palette. To go a bit more hardcore, I might add some pink shades from my other palette from Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette.

This is my very first post and I have no idea what to write. Basically my name is Kayla and I’m 25 years old and I love makeup & skincare. I’m very picky when it comes to what I consider my holy grail products, but I love trying new things and sharing my thoughts and opinions! My favourite new products to try are foundations. I am THE MOST PICKY with foundations (as in I only have one in my collection currently) but I absolutely love trying new ones. I’m also extremely insecure and self conscious about taking selfies so 😬😬 also please don’t mind my eyebrows I can’t get them THREADED RIGHT NOW. ANYWAYS, that’s all I have for now, take care and stay safe!! 💕
