10 year old blackhead!!!!
****Viewer Discretion advised**** This is a 10 year old blackhead! (Swipe for results) Deep blackheads are hardened plugs consisting of skin debris and oil that block the pores. These hardened plugs cannot be dislodged from the skin using regular cleansing products. Over time, this causes buildup to accumulate even deeper within the pores. Deep blackheads are tough to remove, especially without professional extraction. Cleansers and exfoliants cannot remove buildup located deep within pores and require extraction via specialized tools and professional treatments. The deeper the blackhead, the more likely scarring will occur upon removal. With this in mind, professional extraction is advised. Deep blackheads are a result of buildup that has formed over weeks, months or even years. And when a pore becomes clogged, oil continues to build up deeper within the pore. If blackheads are not extracted early, they can remain within the skin indefinitely. Very common in men with beards, if you see them, pleaaaaase see an Esthetician or Dermatologist to have them properly extracted & EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE! Exfoliation is extremely important and a lot of people NEVER exfoliate. This baby was found in the bikini area, but deep blackheads are common on face, in ears, neck, underarms, and back in those hard to reach places.
As we age, our skin’s natural Hyaluronic Acid production decreases, leading to the loss of skin elasticity and moisture. This is why it is crucial that you are providing your skin with the Hyaluronic Acid is needs to maintain our skin’s natural barrier. Is this ingredient a key part of your routine? The ordinary peel
Adding The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solutionto my previously posted ordinary regimen, I’ll be using this 2 times a week, continuing my other regimen and adding The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalaneat the end to lock in lots of hydration after the peel! It’s a little uncomfortable if you aren’t used to chemical peels, but I am and it’s super tolerable. The most it did was itch in my problem areas.

$8-20 Budget First Cleansers
Double-cleansing is imperative if you wear makeup and/or sunscreen, which everyone should be wearing! Some folks prefer to cleanse twice with their usual cleanser, but I find it more effective to use an oil-based cleanser to melt away oil-based products. Like bonds to like! These two products make double-cleansing affordable and moisturizing, without potentially irritating essential oils or fragrance. • THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm : $9.99 USD for 150mL, or $0.07 per mL. This silky balm can get runny when warm but emulsifies easily and removes makeup and sunscreen without issue. INCI Key Notes: sweet almond oil, oat kernel oil, oat kernel flour (colloidal oatmeal), vitamin E, vitamin C, sunflower seed oil. • The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser : $7.90 USD for 50mL ($19.90 for 150mL), or $0.16 per mL ($0.13 per mL if 150mL tube). This thick balm takes a while to emulsify but leaves skin so soft and removes makeup/sunscreen well. INCI Key Notes: squalane, glycerin, esters, vitamin E. Non-comedogenic, if that’s something you look for.

My Favourite Peptide Product: the Ordinary!
The Ordinary has few “expensive” serums, but I consider The Ordinary - "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1% (30mL) to be worth every penny of its $28.90 USD price tag, and one of the only peptide products I consider “worth it”! Copper peptides are copper molecules combined with a few amino acids- they are a naturally-occurring peptide found in saliva, blood, and other fluids. It’s a skin-restoring ingredient and known for assisting in wound healing, adding to the skin fortification benefits of the wonderful cocktail of peptides that Buffet offers, all mixed into multiple different types of hyaluronic acid for deep hydration! Including peptides (the building blocks of proteins) in your routine helps fight off loss of firmness, wrinkles, texture changes, and general signs of aging, as well as encouraging collagen synthesis. It can help with dehydration and dryness by fortifying the skin barrier as well as encouraging moisture retention. The biggest difference I personally notice is a shortening of blemish healing time- I apply this to a freshly extracted pimple and it shrinks considerably overnight with much less scabbing. This isn’t a miracle in a bottle, but it’s an amazing multi-use serum! 💕 I enjoy the faint metallic smell and the slightly gelatinous serum is much thinner on my skin than I expected from the fat dollop that plops onto my finger from the dropper. If you’re looking for an easily-swappable serum full of peptides, I’d recommend this one! It’s very gentle on my skin, even when my acne flares up, and I love the science behind it’s skin-preserving claims.

EXFOLIATION 101! How, what, when & why!
PHYSICAL VS CHEMICAL + SERUM VS SCRUB VS TONER! Which will you choose?! Hi everyone, welcome to Exfoliation 101. Let’s jump right into the lesson! 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭? Exfoliation is the removal of old and dead skin cells on the surface. AKA it’s how you get rid of dry, flaky, and crusty skin. 𝐰𝐡𝐲? Exfoliation removes the layer of dead skin cells that often clog our pores and keep our skin care products from penetrating deeper into the skin. Essentially, you should exfoliate to reveal brighter, softer, and healthier skin. Your serums and moisturizers will perform a lot better. 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧? 2-3x a week MAX. Over exfoliation can cause irritation and breakouts! I personally only exfoliate 2x a week for my dry skin. 𝐡𝐨𝐰? PHYSICAL - granular particals like powders, sugar, oatmeal, fruits.. etc. * scrubs can often be abrasive and do more harm than good. Always be gentle, stay away from your eyes, and don’t over do it. I recommend physical scrubs that have granular particals that are gentle and or dissolve. CHEMICAL - Acids in the form of serums or toners! * There are many types, so read below to find which one might fit your concerns best. Skip a few days in between use and WEAR SPF! ✦ AHAs > Glycolic & Lactic Acid. * works on the skin surface. Mainly helps skin texture. Can be synthetic, but mostly derived from fruits. ✦ BHAs > Salicylic Acid & tropic Acid. * deeply penetrates pores, helps skin texture & unclog pores and remove excess sebum. Ideal for acne prone skin. ✦ PHAs > Gluconolactone & Lactobionic Acid. * less irritating. Doesn’t penetrate as deep as AHA/BHAs 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬↴ GOOD MOLECULES - Pineapple Exfoliating Powder The best gentle physical exfoliation. + made from rice powder! Just add water and start to *gently* scrub away. + also includes pineapple enzymes for some chemical exfoliation as well. + great for sensitive skin & exfoliation beginners. + brightens and smooths. + all skin types. + affordable! $18 FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum Multi-tasking overnight serum with chemical exfoliation BHAs + AHAs and more. + great for texture, hydration, brightening, and clarifying skin. + helps enlarged pores, fine lines, wrinkles, breakouts, dark spots, firmness and skin elasticity. + 14% AHA, BHA, flower acids. + NIGHT TIME ONLY. + rich and silky texture. + doesn’t sting or burn! (I have sensitive skin) + $58. Best bought in a set for a bargain. iNNBEAUTY PROJECT - Down To Tone Resurfacing Toner Exfoliating Toner Chemical exfoliating toner + 6 acid blend ( basically BHA + PHA ) + exfoliates, clarifies, and brightens. + helps with acne, texture, & dark spots. + use on cotton round. + Use 2-5x per week at night, work your way up to daily use. + tingles + $22

2019-2020 skincare journey!
Hey girl hey! This is my first post on the Cherie app and I am so excited to share my skincare journey. Sis when I tell you it was a journey... girl. It was THE journey. My oily/acne prone skin and acne scars and I have been through it. We still have our days here and there. (Thanks Covid for making “maskne” a thing. 🙄) But we are FINALLY in a good place now. 😂 I’m excited to share my ride or die products with all y’all! Cleanser: URBAN SKIN Rx - Even Tone Cleansing Bar : Thank you tik tok for introducing me to this product! This overall is a great cleanser. It makes my skin feel squeaky clean after every use and I honestly think it has helped with my dark spots. However I give this 4 out of 5 stars just because I’ve been using it for a while and I miss gel/liquid cleansers. I’m thinking about switching to La roche or Cerave once this runs out. Morning toner: Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector I LOVE THIS TONER! I use this in the morning and has been a ride or die for me. Love the light pink packaging however the pump can be a little hard to use just cause it can spray everywhere if you cover the pump too much. But this toner has been a favorite of mine and will be a part of my skincare routine for a long time. Night toner: The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ OBSSESSED. If I could use this in the morning, I totally would. But my skin would hate me so I reserve her for my nighttime routine. This toner is a GAME CHANGER FOR ME. I used to use my witch hazel toner and I regret those days. 😓 But I’m so glad I made the switch. This has helped with my acne and acne scars. 100% recommend to add to your routine! Morning serum: The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% : A vitamin C serum that finally works for me!!! I love using this as a serum for my morning routine. I’ve tried so many vitamin C serums including ones from the ordinary and this is the only one that has worked! THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream : Eye bags who? This magic trick eye serum makes me look like I’ve had a good night sleep. The trickery of this eye serum? Sis. Buy this and thank me later. Nighttime serums: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% : ❤️ I call this serum my ol’ reliable. I love this serum so much that I bought the big boy bottle. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 : Another ol’ reliable serum. Get this serum for your own good. THE inkey LIST - Retinol Serum : I use this twice a week and i can say bye Felicia to future wrinkles. THE inkey LIST - Vitamin B, C, and E Moisturizer : there’s a reason why this is sold out on Sephora. Buy it now. These products have transformed my skin for the better. If y’all want to see a in-depth skincare routine, let me know in the comments below!!

My Simple Contour & Highlight Routine
Here’s my guide to my everyday, wearable contour and highlight routine & what products I use! 1. After applying your favourite foundation take a cream contour stick and apply it to the perimeter of your face in a “3” shape (forehead, hallows of cheeks, and jaw). I also love to contour my nose a little bit to slim it out and shorten it. My favourite contour stick is the Kylie Cosmetics Bronze Medium Stick. Its super easy to blend and the shade is perfect for my skin tone. KYLIE COSMETICS - Bronze Medium Bronzer Stick 2. After blending your contour, take a concealer that is about 3 shades lighter than your foundation. Apply it to the areas you’d like to highlight. For me thats under my eyes, temples, tip of my nose, chin, and centre of my forehead. Then blend! This is what really snatches your face! I like the Rare Beauty Concealer shade 170W, its super light weight and extremely brightening. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer 3. Next I like to set the areas that I highlighted with the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder in the shade light. This powder is MAGIC! It’s so fine and blurs out fine lines, brightens, and smooths the skin. Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder 4. Set the rest of your face with translucent powder, I like the Kylie Cosmetics Translucent Loose Setting Powder. This is going to lock your makeup in place! KYLIE COSMETICS - KYLIE COSMETICS Loose Setting Powder 5. I like to go over top the contoured areas with a bronzer to further enhance the contour. My favourite bronzer is the Il Makiage Waka Waka Baked Bronzer. This is the most beautiful, pigmented bronzer I’ve ever used, a little goes a long way! IL MAKIAGE - Mineral Baked Bronzer 6. Now for blush, this is a crucial step in my routine, and surprisingly a big step in any contour routine. Blush adds a little colour back to your face and gives a beautiful healthy look to the skin. The placement of your blush is very important and helps shape your face. I like to place my blush mainly above the contour and drag it out to the apple of my cheeks as well. My favourite blush is the Kylie Cosmetics Pink Dreams Blush. I love a super bright pink cheek! KYLIE COSMETICS - KYLIE COSMETICS Blush 7. Lastly, you can highlight your cheekbones with a glowy highlighter, although I’m not a huge fan of highlighter (I know— weird!!) I prefer a matte face. I only highlight the tip and bridge of my nose to make my nose look more pinched. I use the shade “Boli” from the Carlie Bybel x Anastasia Palette. ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Carli Bybel Eyeshadow Palette And voila! Your face is snatched!

💰Worth It or Not? Hyram reviewed Fenty Skin😱
Rihanna launched her new skincare line in July, Fenty Skin, a self-labeled “New Culture of Skincare.” The followings are Hyram’s opinions about the ingredients and the products. It’s okay if you don’t agree with it because it is the beauty of the skincare world that everyone has their unique experience and attitudes. Packaging: beautiful beautiful sustainable packaging Branding: this is an inclusive line and truly made for people of color and black people Products Review: from his least favorite to the favorite Good side: The packaging is so unique and environmental friendly that contains a refillable unit. It is impressive that the first launch of the line has sunscreen, which most brands don’t have because sunscreens need FDA approval before it hit the market, which is a process that might take years and extremely expensive. Because of the branding, it encourages people with color, especially black people to wear sunscreens with no white cast. PS. Everyone needs sunscreens regardless of what skin tone you have to protect you from UVA and aging!!! 90% of aging is from sun exposure alone. It is necessary that everyone protecting their skin from the sun. The second ingredient is Glycerin, a great hydrating ingredient. The third ingredient Safflower Seed Oil is a high-quality ingredient, great for hydrating and antioxygen. Also formulated with Niacinamide, Hyram’s favorite ingredient of all time. Great for dark spots, oiliness, sensitivity, etc. Hyaluronic Acid is also included as hydration. Downside: unfortunately this is a chemical UV sunscreen, which is harmful to the ocean environment, especially for coral. Moreover, compering to mineral sunscreens, chemical sunscreen is more likely to irritate the skin. Formulated with tons of fragrance. The fragrance is not necessary for a skincare product. Not recommended to sensitive skin. FENTY SKIN - Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum($28): Good Side: So so coooool packing. The consistency is like a toner serum, very lightweight. Claims to refine pores, brighten dark spots, and even out skin tone. The fourth ingredient is niacinamide. Also includes Camellia Oleifera Extract for reducing redness and sensitivity in the skin; Grandiflorus Flower Extract for soothing function; Acerola Fruit Extract is a very strong antioxidant. The price regarding the ingredients is great. DownSide: the second ingredient is Hamamelis Virginiana Water, which is an astringent. It can be overly drying the skin, and over time can lead to skin dehydration. Also formulated with a lot of fragrance. FENTY SKIN - Total Cleans'r Remove-It-All Cleanser($28): Claims to be a cleanser and a makeup remover in One and works for all skin types. Formulated with gentle surfactants that will not overly strip your skin but still give you a nice foaming cleansing experience. It also contains green tea to reduce redness. It starts as a cream and then turns into a foam. It doesn’t dry the skin out but definitely clean the skin. If you have to buy something from the line, this is the ONE. Overall: This line covers all the 4 basic steps of the skincare routine, and picks innovative ingredients that are rarely seen from other brands. Besides, this line is relatively affordable at Sephora. Comment below 👇to tell me your thoughts about this line and the products.💖💖
