SO WORTH THE HYPE 🥒💚 #cheriemademebuyit
Okay so this is a product I remember adding to my favourites list almost immediately after downloading Cherie! 😍 As someone who struggles with redness, acne, dry, and sensitive skin I was looking for a product that could help address ALL of these issues. I saw amazing and immediate results with this mask, even after 1 use 😱 It’s definitely pricey, but I would recommend picking up one of the PTR value sets so you can try this out for a lower price tag! I got a mini one in my Christmas shopping and it’s still almost completely full!

Biggest Let Down 😭💗
This mascara used to be everything!!! My lashes were so long when I used this product I stopped curling them because they would hit my brows! But a while back I noticed the formula of this product changed and I was less than impressed 😫 My lashes would clump, they weren’t as long, the formula was thick, and the product had an odd smell. I though I might’ve just had a bad batch but all of the tubes I got were like this! I’m so sad because this used to be my go to... but now I wouldn’t waste my money on it! Has anyone else noticed this change??

Video Call Makeup Trick 🎥💄
In the world of digital meetings I’m sure we’ve all mastered our “zoom makeup” look at this point.. but here’s a trick for all of those products that you own that are just kind of meh 😕 I’ve started using my 3 or 4 star makeup for my zoom calls, rather than letting it sit and expire! As long as the ingredients don’t have anything that will irritate my skin or make me break out then they move into my video call rotation! This way I can save my good makeup for the few human interactions I get to have 😂 This foundation is the perfect example of this! My shade in this product is a little off, so in person it’s not great but on camera no one notices! The consistency is also a bit thick, so I prefer to not have this on my skin for too long!

Ooh.. what’s that smell?
MYRO - Deodorant Chill Wave 🌊 - The scent is described as: CUCUMBER - JASMINE - SPEARMINT I have been trying natural deodorants for i would say three years now. Not going to lie, the packaging of Myro was definitely the reason I picked it up, as I do not like deodorants with fragrance. When it comes to the formula, it is SUPER creamy. Sometimes even too creamy, as it gets messy. Usually natural deodorants are super tough to apply but this one is the opposite. So am I smelly? Uh not really, not in a good or bad way. The product scent doesn’t really linger, I do not find myself sweating or smelling bad. While it’s not the greatest deodorant out there, it’s defiantly worth a try. Especially since it’s reusable.
Essential for getting rid of fungal acne
This website: folliculitisscout.com ^ you can look up the ingredients in your skincare to see if they trigger fungal acne or not There are so many ingredients that trigger fungal acne so this site is very helpful and shows a lot of products that are good for skin struggling with fungal acne!! I usually Google the product and copy and paste all the ingredients it has into the box so that I don’t have to type them all out 👍🏼
Are “Fox-Eyes” the new “Cat-Eyes”?
Do you already know Fox-Eyes? More and more women are now enjoying the make-up look that conjures up beautiful almond eyes, just like Model Kendall Jenner. Sexy cat eyes are characterized by a wide, curved eyeliner. This opens the eye and the gaze automatically appears more alert and radiant. Now, however, a new, viral makeup trend is on the advance: “Fox-Eyes”. The pics come from IG @whitneykshepherd, they show the difference lies in the position of the eyeliner. The Fox Eye look is about placing the eyeliner in such a way that the eyes look more almond-shaped and mysterious, rather than large and wide open. That is why you do not orient yourself at the end of the eyebrow when applying makeup to the eyeliner wing, but rather pull it straight towards your temple. This creates a kind of lifting effect for the eyes. The most famous celebrity examples of this look are the models Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner. If you want to further strengthen the Fox-Eyes, on the one hand, you can add fake lashes on the outer lash line. This optically lengthens the eye somewhat. Another trick is to apply and blur dark eye shadows along the line of eyeliner. This creates a nice smokey effect. Tip: Take the hair back strictly! As a result, the skin around the eyes is slightly pulled back and the shape of the eyes and brows looks more defined.
Exfoliating Acids x DermDoctor
Exfoliating acids are an amazing addition to your skincare routine! They have multiple benefits including improving skin texture, tone, and uneven pigment. They also have anti-aging benefits and can minimize the appearance of wrinkles! Exfoliating acids should be used no more than 2x per week with leave on products. Face washes with acids can be used more often. Here’s my rules to the roads (there’s always exceptions, of course) and product picks: Glycolic acid: Most effective but can be irritating with sensitive skin or those who are prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution Salicylic acid: Best for oily, acne-prone skin NATURIUM - BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2% THE inkey LIST - Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) Blemish + Blackhead Serum Lactic acid: Best for dry and combination skin. Exfoliates while hydrating, gentle on the skin, and my personal go-to! SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 5% + HA Mandelic acid: Most gentle exfoliating acid. Best for sensitive skin and those prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA #cheriepartner

update skincare routine for fungal acne!
yay updated skincare routine! these past few months i had been getting these crazy breakouts on my forehead, but after a switching some products, my skin has been thriving! cleanser although i love the CeraVe - Salicylic Acid Facial Cleanser, i found that i would irritate my skin a bit and i decided to switch over to my favorite fa safe gentle cleanser ETUDE - SoonJung pH6.5 Whip Cleanser serums dont get me wrong, i absolutely LOVE the NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2%this was my second bottle of it but once i ran out i decided to finish up the PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serumso it wouldn’t be lying around in my skincare stash. but i still much prefer the naturium serum over peach and lily. essence i wanted to incorporate an exfoliating step in mu routine sence i had drop the SA cleanser. so i thought the ISNtree - Clear Skin 8% AHA Essencewould be a perfect fit in my routine. i use this serum every other day. treatment of course i have my holy grail Curology - Curology formulawith azelaic acid, clindamycin, and zinc pyrithione, this is the one product i will never get rid of moisturizer i think the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Hello FAB Coconut Water Creamis an all around good moisturizer. its fungal acne safe however it wasn’t moisturizing enough nor did it prevent breakouts. i was previously using the NATURIUM - Marine Hyaluronic Water Creambefore but had temporarily stopped using it. although its not fungal acne safe, this moisturizer hasn’t caused any breakouts and is just so luxurious. and cheaper 😳 masks ive had this DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Masksince last christmas, and since december is comming soon, i want to use this mask up as quickly as possible because baby this wasn’t cheap. i use this on the weekends in place of my exfoliating essence. oil / occlusive in my last routine i was using Aquaphor - Healing Ointment Skin Protectanton my cheeks for the evening but switched to The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalaneoils because i felt that it absorbed nicely and didn’t leave my poor pillow so mf greasy sunscreen i love love love love the FACE HALO - MISSHA All-Around Safe Block Aqua Sun Gel SPF50+ PA++++but i wanted to try something new and something more accessible to me so i tried the Neutrogena - Sensitive Skin Face Liquid Sunscreen SPF 50and aaahh its an ok sunscreen but not as good as the missha one micellar water i would always buy the GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Waterproof Makeup Remover( blue) and i love it its great but i wanted to switch it up and use the pink one. its ok but i think the blue one works better. comment which products you love for fungal acne!! like and share! xo melanie 💗

Not all alcohol is bad!!
You always hear that alcohols are so bad for your skin right? Well that’s the “bad” alcohols. Those are the alcohols that dry out and strip your skin of the oils it needs. When your face is stripped of those oils, it becomes vulnerable to bacteria and that causes breakouts 😩 Which ones are bad? Simple alcohols like SD alcohol, denatured alcohol, alcohol denat, and isopropyl alcohol. These you should definitely avoid in your skincare products. Like I mentioned above, these cause dryness (which speeds up the aging process 😳) and leaves your face unprotected from the bacteria that causes acne. ⭐️If these are really high up on the ingredient list, definitely don’t use them. However, if you have super oily skin and you like a product that has one of these listed further down the ingredient list (meaning small amounts) it won’t be that bad. Very small amounts of alcohol can be used to control oil and leave a matte finish. If you have dry skin however, best to avoid altogether. Good Alcohols ✨ There are some alcohols that are derived from natural sources like coconut 🥥 oil and are used as stabilizers and emulsifiers to help them keep their texture and for believe it or not, moisturizing! 😳 These alcohols are cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, and lauryl alcohol. They’re not drying or irritating to your skin at all. In fact, they have the opposite effect. There are “skin friendly “ alcohols so if you are reading the Ingredients (good for you!) in a new skincare product, don’t freak out if you see an alcohol listed. Keep the chart above handy to help you remember the good and the bad! One of my favorite things lately is learning to really read ingredient lists and learning about the individual ingredients! Always remember that Ingredients are listed from what’s in it the most to what’s in it the least. Example. If you have 2 niacinamides creams you are looking at, one has niacinamide listed 7th and one has it listed 3rd, the product with niacinamide in 3rd has more than the one listed 7th. Hope this helped! ❤️❤️
