Beachy Waves in 3 Easy Steps 🌊

You know that amazing natural wave your hair gets after a long day at the beach? Well you can recreate the look at home in 3 simple steps, sans the sand ;) ☀️ Step 1. Start with damp hair and gently detangle hair using a wet brush like the Wet brush - Go Green Infused Tea Tree Brush[] For added detangling, try an affordable yet effective detangler like Suave - Kids Purely Fun Detangler Spray [] to add moisture and condition Step 2. Use a wave spray that contains sea salt like sun bum - Texturizing Sea Spray[] this will help add texture and hold and create that messy beach wave that you're trying to achieve. *Bonus points if it actually smells like coconut and sun tan lotion like this one! 😍 Step. 3 Seal frizz and add shine with a light weight hair oil like Love Perpetua Shine Drops by Evo. This will keep your waves soft instead of crunchy and give your hair a brilliant healthy shine. ✨

Overnight Waves Tutorial
Overnight Waves Tutorial
I am allllll about overnight hair styles. Gone are the days where I regularly use heat tools to style my hair. Every once in a while I’ll do it, but for everyday I can’t be bothered! Heatless styles are also great for reducing heat damage and breakage. This is a tutorial for my preferred overnight waves using two twists. This style works best for wavy and straight hair types. About my hair: thick, naturally wavy/curly, frizzy, dry What you’ll need: -comb -small elastic bands -leave-in spray -styling cream/gel/mousse -finishing spray/hairspray Steps: 1. Start with damp hair. 2. Apply leave-in conditioner and disperse through your hair with a comb or fingers. 3. Apply your preferred styling product(s). This will help your hair hold the style’s shape. 4. Either air dry your hair or wrap in a towel for about 15-30 min (less if your hair is fine, more if your hair is thick. I do about 30 min) 5. Take hair out of towel (if using) and comb it. 6. Part hair in desired area in front and part about equally down the back. 7. Work with one side at a time. Take a small section of hair at the front of your head, and another section from the back of your head. 8. Twist the pieces together like a rope braid. I start just above my ears. 9. Add in a section of hair from the front and from the back to continue the twist. 10. Continue adding hair and twisting down. Secure with an elastic. 11. Repeat on other side. 12. Go to bed! Let this style sit for 8-10 hours. The longer the better, especially if you have thick hair. 13. In the AM, remove your twists and gently shake your hair near the roots to loosen waves. 14. Spray hair with your preferred finishing spray/hairspray. Products I used: KRISTIN ESS - Ultra Hydrating Curl Leave-In Cream KRISTIN ESS - Hair Hydrating Curl Defining Crème R+Co - FOIL Frizz + Static Control Spray Notes: You can twist your twists around each other into buns or clip them on top of your head if the twists will bother you when you’re sleeping! You can modify this style by starting father or lower on your head, or doing two 3-strand braids. #CheriePartner

My go-to French braid in a bun!
My go-to French braid in a bun!
My hair is a little crazy! Having dry, thick, wild curls is an adventure in itself, but having those key styles to dress up a bun is so important! Today I’m sharing my go-to hairstyle when my hair is almost ready to be washed (I can only wash my hair once a week—curly girl problems) and I want it to be out of my face for work. I call it an easy French braid in a bun! Here are the easy steps to get this cute style yourself: 1. Brush your hair! Especially if you’re curly like me—it will ruin your curls for that wash cycle but since we’re at the end anyway it doesn’t really matter. By brushing our your hair it is less likely to tangle. 2. Something I like to do to add volume and texture is a styling powder. Many brands make them, but today I’m using the Redken Dry Shampoo Powder REDKEN - Dry Shampoo Powder 02 With Charcoal it’s basically a charcoal powder to soak up excess oil in your hair. Lasts forever! At $22 for 2oz it had lasted me over 6 months! My only complaint is the dispenser, I wish it was like briogeo’s, which is a aerosol-free sprayer. 3. Part your hair like your normally do, then tie up one side while you work on the other side. 4. Begin your French braid at the front of your part. You can make the braid as tight or loose as you’d like! 5. Make sure you continue along the side of your head, not the top. 6. Secure your first braid with Bobby pins and/or tie it up! 7. Repeat this on the other side. 8. Remove all of your temporary Bobby pins, grab all of your hair and put it in your usual bun. I keep mine lower on my head depending on the day. 9. Secure any stray hair or bumps with Bobby pins and you’re ready to go! I work part time at a print shop where it’s crucial that my hair is up and out of my face so I can operate heavy machinery. This is a cute style I wear instead of a boring bun 🤪 What are your favorite hair styles for your job(s)?

Balay all day!
Balay all day!
Looking for a long-lasting natural haircolor? A balayage may be right for you! This client wanted to keep it really natural And brighten up the pieces around the face (aka money pieces). The money pieces are done many different ways, but I usually do teeny tiny foils around the front hairline to really brighten it up and still blend in when she pulls her hair back! Balayage means free hand painting, so I took small sections and back combed with my clay lightener to be able to blend with her natural color without leaving lines or splotches! This tends to be a huge issue with balayage so back combing is almost foolproof!  ALWAYS TONE BLONDE HAIR. If your hairstylist does not know how to tone your hair, it’s time to find a new one! Toning is extremely important to keep the gold/orange and brassy look away!  Maintenance: Definitely use purple shampoo once to twice a week, this can be extremely drying so make sure you don’t use daily. And use a hydrating conditioner after use!  Here I used:  Olaplex shampoo and conditioner, these rebuild bonds back into your hair after lightening services! It’s also great for repairing environmental damage such as hard water, chlorine, even sun bleaching! For styling products I used: Kevin Murphy Smooth AgainKEVIN.MURPHY - Smooth.Again Kevin Murphy Body Builder Mousse KEVIN.MURPHY - Body.Builder Kevin Murphy Anti Gravity SprayKEVIN.MURPHY - Anti.Gravity Spray

If you’re feeling bored with your usual hairstyle and want to make some difference, I strongly recommend this cute hairstyle to you!  I know that not everyone likes to spend much time on hairstyles, so easy hairstyles are the way forward. It's simple to do and can be done in just minutes!  All you need is to prepare some cute hair accessories like bows!🎀

Easy Party Hairstyle Pictorial
Easy Party Hairstyle Pictorial
About my hair: thiiiiick, long, wavy/curly, frizzy This style was done on same-day washed hair. I loveeeee this style, especially for summer! It’s super easy to do. The concept involves making small buns. While my pictorial involves making 3 buns, depending on your hair length you may only be able to do 2 buns. I’ve also done this style with 2 buns and it’s really cute! This style can be done regardless of your hair type. What you’ll need -heavy duty Bobby or spin pins -hairspray -comb -optional: texture spray if your hair texture is fine or slippery Steps: (Pre-step: spray texture spray throughout hair if using. Skip if not.) 1. Comb all of your hair from the front of your head towards the back. 2. Separate the section of hair near your crown. 3. Twist the hair counter-clockwise until it starts to coil. Wrap the hair around itself into a bun shape. Use your other hand to hold the bun in place while wrapping. 4. Pin the bun in place. 5. Separate the section of hair above your ears. 6. Repeat steps 3-4 to pin a second bun into place. 7. Repeat steps 3-4 to pin a third bun into place. 8. Add additional Bobby pins if needed to secure your buns and smooth hair in the front of your head. Use hairspray to lock your style into place. If your hair is shorter, this style can be done by separating your hair into 2 sections instead of 3. Accessories, like sparkly pins or clips, would look awesome with this style. My tips: Invest in some spin pins. They make buns a BREEZE. For these small buns, I only use 1 spin pin because they hold so well. goody - Hair Simple Styles Mini Spin Hair Pin are about $7-9. Heavy duty Bobby pins also work well, such as CONAIR - Styling Essentials Firm Hold Bobby Pins , which are amazing for thick hair (about $6-7). I don’t suggest using non-textured styling pins because they won’t hold this style. I used VERB - Ghost Hairspray in this pictorial, but feel free to use whatever medium or high hold hairspray you have on hand!
