How long it takes for your products to work
Expecting results overnight from your skincare products is a recipe for disappointment. Unless it’s a cleanser or a toner/essence in which you should see results almost immediately, but these results are temporary and superficial. The timeline to see results is entirely dependent on what type of product you are using. On average 28 days is a good rule of thumb and the time it takes your skin to complete a full cell turnover cycle. A full cycle accounts for the time it takes for a fresh skin cell to appear, mature, die and shed. Deeper and long-term changes like acne, hyperpigmentation, etc. take longer because products like retinoids work at a genetic level. Use this guide to stick to your skincare products and be patient. A skincare tip would be to start one new product at a time.

Is order of skincare products important?
Does it matter what order I apply my skincare products in? I get asked this question a lot! To keep it as simple as possible, this is always my answer: When applying your products you want to think “thinnest to thickest”. & almost like you’re layering a cake! This one describes a pretty minimal skincare routine. You can of course add in your spot treatments, essences, eye creams etc. if you use them - but this is just a basic everyday skincare product layering technique to follow 🤍 Cleanser always comes first. If you’re double cleansing - oil cleanser first and then your daily cleanser, followed by toner (you can tone in between products too.. but that’s another topic), next would be serums - thinner serums first and then thicker ones - (different serums for AM & PM), then moisturizer and then any face oils you use to seal everything in place! My go to oil is Jojoba You would stop at step 5 for your PM routine, but if it is your AM routine - finish off with a layer of SPF so all your hard skincare work actually pays off & definitely use at least SPF 30 or 50😅🙅🏻♀️☀️ #skincare #products #applicationorder #CherieCreator

Vaseline!! Friend or Foe? 🤔
Hey babes!! 👋🏼👋🏼 It’s the start of another week and I hope you’re all staying healthy and happy. 🥰🥰 VASELINE aka petroleum jelly!!! There are so many topics about this product, so here is another one to read. 😜 Bottom line, I do like Vaseline!! 👏🏻👏🏻 Vaseline - 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly, Original If you have any dry patches of skin on your body, this works as a great sealant and is great for protecting your skin’s barrier. What does this mean? 💭 If you notice your skin is feeling drier than normal or you see flakey patches, put a thin layer of Vaseline over the affected area. This product works to trap any already existing in your skin by sealing a barrier. Irritated skin or maskne?? 😭😭 Depending on what the irritation is, put some Vaseline over the area to keep it from getting worse. Vaseline isn’t comedogenic!!! 😍😍 won’t clog your pores!!! This means acne or oily prone skin can safely use this product. In the beauty industry it’s commonly used to protect the hair from getting color on it. When I’m doing a chemical peel on a client, I’ll add a thin layer to areas we don’t want peeling like the eyes or mouth. Great for chapped lips 👄 or heels 🦶🏻!! If applying to the feet, put some on your heels and throw a sock ok. You’ll see a difference in the morning. ☀️ 🛑DO NOT USE FOR BURNS/SUNBURNS🛑 you’re trapping the heat in the skin and making it worse by doing so. Sizes ranges from 1.7 oz for $3.69 to 13oz for about $4.50 depending where you by it from. Great prices!! Xoxo, Blyssey #cheriecreator #vaseline #petroleumjelly
