While I have very oil skin. I honestly was never really into skin care. Of course until I wanted to know how to take care of mine, so I went to skincare school! This Ole Henriksen counter balance mattifying moisture creme is another great Ross find! Let me just tell you how good this moisture creme really is! I have very oily skin, and this mattifying moisture creme is amazing on my skin! It makes it feel so matte. It’s like you can feel the product soaking into ur skin. It stays tacky for a bit while it’s absorbing but I don’t mind the feeling; it’s not over powering.

Just ok AM cream, not worth the $$
Key Ingredients: Antioxidants and essential oils (hesitant about using these since I’ve heard that essential oils sensitize the skin if used long-term, but maybe it depends on the type they are?) . Scent: Very strong coconut scent . Consistency/Texture: Lightweight cream . Price: $68 for 1.7 oz . Experience: This did provide a good amount of moisture to my skin when it was combo dry and when it was combo oily, but didn’t make my skin oily or shiny. The scent is very strong and lingers for an hour or so before it dissipates. I haven’t been wearing face makeup, so can’t speak to its priming claims. It quickly absorbs into the skin and feels very lightweight. This didn’t cause any breakouts for me. I didn’t notice any difference in my pores, fine lines or wrinkles, but this sample size only last me a few weeks. . Repurchase/Recommend: No, while it is a good AM moisturizer, I just can’t justify spending almost $70 on a moisturizer!! It provides a good amount of hydration for when my skin is combo dry skin and when it is also more oily, but without making it oily. I would suggest it if you want to splurge on a good AM moisturizer and aren’t sensitive to fragrance. However, I think the First Aid Beauty Priming Moisturizer works just as well as this one at half the price and the Good Molecules one at a way cheaper price.
SKIN&CO-Truffle Therapy Cream
Oil control cream by Sferangs
I’d rather get coal than stop using this oil control Clearing T-care cream. This cream helps with absorbing oil and soothes the skin. Contains witch hazel, tea tree and centella asiatica just a few of their ingredients. Great for oily or sensitive skin types The texture is a light white cream which absorbs quickly. Been using this cream for two weeks and actually been using it around my nose area where It gets oily . I do like this cream because it does help with oil control and would recommend this cream . Price $15.99 50ml Star rating . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4/5
Oil controlling moisturizer
This oil controlling moisturizer is by Sferangs, a company that’s been around since 1979 (!!!). It has EGF, Tea Tree, Witch Hazel, and Cica for calming properties: I love how lightweight this moisturizer is, and that it comes in a squeeze tube (instead of a pot where you have to dip your finger in). I can squeeze out just the right amount of moisturizer. Upon application, it sinks into the skin quite well and doesn’t leave the skin greasy or oily. I’ve used other products with tea tree that have a strong fragrance, but this doesn’t seem to have a smell. I prefer to use this during the summer months where I don’t need as much intense hydration as in the winter. However, if you have really oily skin, I can see this being a great staple for all year round. If you are in the market for something like this, you might want to check this out and the entire line. Based on my experience with this product, I’d totally try other products by this brand.
High end highlighter ?!
Claims - Dewy , plump, dreamy skin ! My experience - Wonderful highlighter for a awful lot of money 💰 I definitely love the scent and the cream gel texture, it’s totally cooling on the skin, nice and fresh 🥰! Mad props !! It did leave a nice glowy finish on the skin making it “seem” healthy But after washing the face off the moisturizing goodness all goes away ☹️! I expected it to work on my skin making it truly hydrated. But it was rather a cosmetic cream that worked on the surface and made it all seem very nice! While it did nothing.. This is one of those products that really wanted it to work.. But sadly this doesn’t work for me ! Maybe I should try their water gel cream instead ? What are your thoughts ? TATCHA-The Dewy Skin Cream
Very Gentle Cream
Ahhh, Trilogy! If you’re skincare-obsessed, you need to know this brand! More than likely, you’ve either read about a product or two (especially their rosehip oil), or you’ve seen the products in Whole Foods. Either way, you might be curious. Now, I have not tried their famous rosehip oil, but I have tried their “Very Gentle Moisturizing Cream,” and it’s really, really nice. It’s filled with really nice, safe ingredients, too! The product rests inside of an apothecary-esque, frosted, brown glass jar. Which feels lovely in the hand, and is sure to be beautiful on any vanity. Also, as a bonus, Trilogy has been kind enough to include a little spatula inside the carton. Upon first application, you’ll more than likely feel something... different, to say the least. I’ve tried hundreds of creams, but none feel quite like this. It’s somewhat waxy, which is sort of soothing. There is a scent; a natural scent, but a scent nonetheless. It kind of reminds me of Crayola crayons! At the end of the process, skin is given this instant, light glow; and is left feeling smooth and moisturized. Even though I’m not a huge fan of creams, I still love to try them! I’d say this is one of the best to try. Especially if your skin is sensitive! I personally had no adverse reactions while using this. Beautiful product, beautiful brand.
JayJun has great KBeauty skincare!
⭐️ 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 ⭐️ JayJun, Anti-Dust Intensive Cream ($20, currently 30% off on the brand website) ——————— ⇛Beauty (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): This is an intensive but non greasy moisturizing cream with calming properties. The texture on this is really cool. It’s a rich cream but spreads like a gel, it’s an interesting sensory experience. I love how affordable this is, while feeling luxe. The packaging is quite beautiful, and you get a substantial amount. I was surprised to learn that this is $20, I feel like comparable creams are in the $30-35 price range. It had meadow foam (good for sealing in moisture), and ginger root oil (soothing). It does have a slight fragrance (added), and some denatured alcohol (second to last ingredient). This is suited for normal to dry skin, and has complimentary products in the same line. I also had a chance to try out the Rose Blossom Mask and the Roselle Tea Eye Gel Patch. I loved layering these (watch the video), and really enjoyed how plump and moisturizer my face felt after. It was a spa-like experience, and both masks felt high quality. At around $3/piece, I would recommend these for special occasions. ——————— ⇛Business (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, cruelty-free): I have used a few JayJun products and I quite enjoy them. I think they are a great, affordable line of Kbeauty that perform and feel better than how they are priced. The packaging makes then feel way more luxe than the price point. You can find them on promo (right now, extra 30% off their site), and I would definitely try other products in this and other lines. ——————— I was provided this product complimentary for review purposes

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.1 DAY AGO
