Genetic under Eye bags? What’s best!
If you’re like me, I’ve had puffy under eye area my whole life. In fact, there’s a hideous second grade photo of me that I’m sure sparked my insecurities. I have tried many products some help reduce the appearance of my under eye bags and some do absolutely NADA! Here are my top favorite products to decrease the appearance of my genetic eye puffiness. 1. belif - Eye Bomb Gwp In all my time searching. This has been the best find for me personally. When I use this cream I can definitely see that my eye puffiness went down. 2. ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff This is my second favorite. I only put this second because I later learned that when paired with the Belif Eye Bomb, it’s perfect. This eye cream definitely brightens so you do not need much at all and keeps your under eye area brightened and lifted all day. 3. The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG My most recent discovery. This under eye solution does visibly depuff my under eye area. The consistency is not my favorite, I like thicker under eye creams. But I can say that it does make my eye area look more awakened. I read that this product takes awhile so...tbc I really hope this post helps someone like me with genetic under eye puffiness. Or atleast gives them some hope that there is a product or combination of products that helps them feel better about this unique issue.

Best way to clear dark spots
Curology - The Moisturizer Curology - Curology formula Curology - The Cleanser #Che Natural - Turmeric Soap[products]#[FiveStars] At the beginning of the year, I had really stubborn dark spots and acne scaring. The first product I tried was Curology. I do believe the Curology cleanser, moisturizer, and treatment did play a role in clearing up my skin. Although, the product did plateau after 4 weeks. I continued with just washing with Turmeric soap and it that did wonders for my skin.
DRY FEET? NEVER HEARD OF HER
Origins - Reinventing The Heel ($29) This is a heavy, thiCC, cream used to soothe your soles (and soul) and help salve those cracks that can sometimes be painful. It does exactly what it says it does with it’s creamy blend of rose fruit, jojoba oils, and salicylic acid (which you can strongly smell fyi, but I personally enjoy it). The formula is super nourishing without making your feet feel greasy! If you wanna give your feet some extra love, I would HIGHLY recommend this! I personally add this as an extra self luv step when painting my lil piggies 🐷 ORIGINS - REINVENTING THE HEEL Mega-Moisture For Dry, Cracked Feet

Breaking The Myth: Glycolic Acid & Retinoids
So there’s a thing going around that you shouldn’t mix glycolic acid (AHA) with Retinol (retinoids). ✨ (I will post links to medical studies done and their proven results) ✨ I will say that I have experimented with this for a few weeks and my skin has cleared up tremendously! I just incorporated the glycolic acid but my skin has been fine. I DO NOT have: Sensitive skin Allergies ACTIVE OPEN BREAKOUTS (few minor bumps here and there) Dry Skin (I’m more combo) ”Active New Skin” (I have been using Differin Gel for 3 months Glycolic acid for 2 weeks. My skin is adjusted to actives) If you have any of those this might cause you irritation. 🚨I use this once-twice a week to treat small hyperpigmentation issues and texture irregularities.🚨 Why do professionals not recommend them together? Many professionals see that people experience irritation, sensitivity, and other issues. There’s also a concern that the PH level of glycolic acid will disrupt retinol. This research is outdated and done in a Petri dish NOT skin. There is room for irritation, which you would still experience.. using them separately! I also would not recommend if you suffer from any other issues as stated above, or to introduce everything slowly! My routine: Cleanser philosophy - Nature In A Jar Gentle Detoxifying Cleanser With Agave Amazing gentle cleanser that helps prevent inflammation. (I also recommend CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser) Tone The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution Can be drying, I recommend using a hydrating cleanser. Serum: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 🚨Skip this is you’re new to this routine🚨 Treat: SKINCEUTICALS - A.G.E. Eye Complex for Dark Circles HG for dark circles! DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel HG FOR ANY ACNE ! Moisturize: nooni - Applebutter Lip Mask Leaves my lips very smooth CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin Very gentle and great for this routine Cliganic - 100% Rosehip Oil I love to mix this in as a extra layer of Vitamin A and to keep my acne at bay. I only add 2 drops to my moisturizer. Links for research: Chandrashekar, B., Ashwini, K., Vasanth, V. & Navale, S. Minimalist skin care?
What is skin fasting? 🤔 Do you sometimes find yourself busy with other things going on? Work, social life, even quarantine depression when you just don’t feel like going through your skincare routine? Don’t worry about it if so! There is a trend going on called skin fasting, the idea is this: Minimizing your skin-care routine, or even forgoing it altogether, for a set amount of time will allow your skin to reset. What are the possible benefits of skin fasting? 🤔 A skin fast allows the skin to return to its natural homeostasis," explains Deanne Robinson, a board-certified dermatologist based in Westport, Connecticut. The theory is that when we use skin-care products, we are essentially coaching our skin on what to do, and thereby throwing off its natural, self-regulating cycle. For example, applying moisturizer or facial oil could signal to our skin cells that it need not produce as much natural sebum because we've got it covered. Or, in using exfoliants like retinol, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), or beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), we're chemically inducing increased skin cell turnover, aka speeding up our skin's natural renewal rate. By temporarily stripping away the use of products via a fast, the thought is that "when we take away the support system to our skin, it allows it to get back to what it naturally does, In other words, by eliminating all skin-care products, you are allowing your skin to 'reset,' and, in turn, improving the way your skin functions, How? 🤔 After searching Google for a while you will find there are MANY ways to do a skin fast. You can go a week or so using ZERO products, not even soap 🧼 😳 or you can just omit certain products like retinol for a bit. Experts tend to all disagree like they do on all issues to do with skincare 😂 Everyone’s skin is different and what works for one person may not work for another. One thing they do agree on is that limiting the use of some products from time to time can be beneficial. the overuse of active ingredients can cause dryness and/or general irritation over time. So you don’t have to get rid of everything but toning down your routine every now and then could be helpful. Especially if you have super sensitive skin. However you choose to interpret this it sounds to me like you can create your own version of skin fasting. Does this sound like something that you would try? I think I tend to do this throughout the year in a bunch of different ways!! ❤️❤️
DRY CUTICLE SOS: 3 TOP TIPS
My cuticles are taking a beating lately - specially at this time where we’re washing our hands and using alcohol-based hand sanitizers more than ever. However, it doesn’t have to stay that way - here are my three top tips for cuticle care. TIP 1: DON’T CUT THEM Instead of cutting your cuticles when doing an at-home manicure, use a cuticle remover and gently push back any sticky skin on your nails. This ensures that technically there’s less cuticle to get dry while still keeping them looking smooth and tidy. It also reduces the likely hood of a cuticle infection if you cut them wrongly. The only thing I recommend cutting is any large, dead pieces of skin or hangnails. Do this every two weeks. BLUE CROSS - Cuticle Remover NICKAK - Cuticle Nipper Single ULTA BEAUTY - Cuticle Pusher TIP 2: USE CUTICLE OIL Like our hair, our nails and the cuticle benefit from using moisturizing cuticle oil. They help to soften the skin around the nail to prevent hangnails from forming! Cuticle oils also help strengthen your nails to grow longer and stronger. Use a cuticle oil at least once a day! TIP 3: USE HAND CREAM This is one of the easiest things to do to take care of cuticles - use a hand cream every time after using a hand sanitizer. Repeated use of alcohol on skin can be very drying, and it’s important to replenish it ASAP! Using a hand cream right after helps to reduce the drying effect of alcohol on your cuticles and hands in general. Everyone’s Least Favorite Bit of Advice
Hi there to the beauties of cherie!! If you’ve been told to be patient once, you’ve been told a million times! But what does that actually ... mean? Each active ingredient you add will promise a few specific results that you expect to see working. We’ve all had those moments where we buy a product that every review promised was a life saver, but after weeks of using it, our skin is no better for it. Here’s a simple and straightforward graphic to help you keep a realistic expectation of when you should start seeing results! having practical expectations also helped me to be kinder to myself by encouraging me to give my skin proper time and consistency. My fave fave faveeee face mask
Gleamin' - Vitamin C Clay Mask Rated five stars because this is my holy grail face mask in the video you will see the consistency of the mask in the jar it comes in also comes with little brush to apply the mask to your face! End of the video will show when the mask is dried on the face do not keep on longer than 10 minutes or irritation/ dryness could occur. This lightens my dark marks from post acne scarring I've had . I have used this mask for about 4 or 5 months and in the second month I was hooked and can't live without this mask. It makes your face feel tight as it sucks the excess oils and tightens those enlarged pores. I highly recommend this mask if your face needs a bit of a brighter look and you suffer from post acne marks/ hyperpigmentation. I suggest you wash your face after use because can leave behind a yellow residue . BUY THIS YOU WONT REGRET ! 10/10 Gleamin' - Vitamin C Clay Mask
