TIPS TO LOOK DECENT IN PHOTO ID’s✨
If you clicked on this, you’re probably like me and care what you look like in your id photos. You have your license with you for quite a bit so it makes sense to want it to look good. Here are some tips I used to take my photo that left results that I’m not embarrassed to show others when needed. LESS IS NOT MORE You always hear how less is more and that’s usually the case when you’re not being photographed. In pictures, lots of the makeup can be lost through the lens if it’s not exaggerated. Think false lashes and over lined lips to stand out. STICK TO NEUTRALS Today is not the day to try out bright colors and glitters. (Choose shades that compliment your natural skin tone. It is important to match your foundation and avoid using black shadow/ liners.) With bright colors you run the risk of becoming washed out with a color that does not suit you and glitter can create unwanted flashback mistakes, which takes me to my next point. BE PICKY WITH YOUR SETTING POWDER Nobody likes taking a picture and seeing that washed out white-cast all over their face from setting powder. To avoid this, simply stick to fine translucent powders such as the laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder . Powders that advertise ‘HD’ tend to create a flashback when photographed. CONTOUR/HIGHLIGHTING IS YOUR NEW BFF Remember those crazy contouring looks from 5 years ago? With photographing ID’s, those skills may come in handy. A photo is 2D so we want to bring more to the photo with these illusions. Choose a highlighter shade up to 2-3 shades lighter than your skin tone and highlight the tops of the cheekbones, down the bridge of the nose, inner corner of the eye, and brow bone. With contouring, chose a neutral shade up to 3-4 shade darker than your skin tone and apply to the hollows of your cheeks, temples of the forehead, down the side of the nose, and finally the jawline. I recommend NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer for highlighting and KKW BEAUTY - Crème Contour & Highlight Sets for contouring.

Anti-Acne Remember This Do And Don't
Skin type: combination, oily T-zone in summer/ dry in winter Main concern: Acne I've had acne since the 8th grade, and it hasn't stopped for almost ten years. I've experienced several kinds of breakouts, such as hormonal acne, zit, pustules, stress acne etc. This can be said the nightmare of my life. Every day I wake up with annoying new breakouts. And I don't know how to cover it. Later, when I entered university, I learned to apply makeup, and I bought a lot of concealers and foundation with good coverage. But the truth is, the more I wanted to cover acne, the more acne bumped up. Here are two products and related tips I want to talk about. # Thursday Plantation Farm Tea Tree Acne Gel 25g It is a tea tree medicated gel for acne, which will heal pimples and acnes slowly. It contains tea tree oil, which is a natural antibacterial agent that penetrates the skin. It's my DO products when I endure severing breakouts. I usually apply a small amount to the affected area after the shower. Because I also experience back acne and breast acne. Cleansing is the most important part of healing acne. If you cannot keep inflamed are clean, it would be hard for this gel to play its role. And I would use gel when I saw pimple that tends to appear. This gel can dry it before it tends to breakout. I found it is not useful for pustules that resemble a whitehead with a red ring around the bump. # Cosrx, Acne Pimple Master Patch, 24 Patches COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch This acne patch is my DON'T. I couldn't remember when I bought it. It is such a trendy on the Internet. I saw many influencers use it, which is why I want to give it a try. But it is a no for me. I apply it to my bump, which is typically filled with white or yellow pus after picking or squeezing. Remind: Don't pick or squeeze your breakout, it may cause inflammation. I squeeze it only when it breaks naturally. And I would clean the around area of it. This acne patch's shape is suitable for cover. But it cannot soak the pus entirely, which makes my bump keeps inflaming and may lead to a scar. To sum up, though this Cosrx, Acne Pimple Master Patch, Acne patch from 3M is perfect. If you are experiencing breakouts like me, give it a try.

The ordinary | Caffeine Solution
☕️What it is？ The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG ☕️Key Ingredient: Caffeine and Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG). Actually, I don't know what it is, but it does work magically in de-puffing!! ☕️My Thought： I always prefer eye cream to serum because the texture of cream makes me feel moisturized, but this serum is really my HG! I dare say, there is no better eye serum than this in removing puffiness. Whether you just woke up or cried because of your boyfriend, whenever you think your eyes are puffy, open this magical little bottle, squeeze out a few drops and apply them to your eyelids and swollen eye bags. Massage it in a soft way until it is absorbed, and you will notice the change in 10 mins. To be honest, this is not a good serum for daily routine because it is not nourishing, but as an occasional tool to deal with puffiness, it is perfect! Plus its price, less than $7!!! I can't find a reason why you wouldn't buy it!! No matter your skin type and budget, as long as you think you may occasionally need some de-puff products, buy it!!

the cleansing balm that changed my skin!
Today I am going to talk about the biggest game changer in my skincare routine: when I changed from the dreaded makeup wipes to a cleansing balm. For a while I had used the Neutrogena - Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettesthen the one day, the BANILA CO - Clean It Zero 3-in-1 Cleansing Balm came as a trial size with a makeup order. At the time, I new absolutely nothing about skincare and I decided to try it. For me, it was love at first cleanse. Immediately I bought the full size and days after my skin already began to look less irritated. The cleansing balm feels so nice and luxurious while only costing around $20. Looking at the ingredient list, later on, I saw the cleansing balm contained no added plastics which is a big yay for me. To add on to that I have used the many empty containers of this product to, hold makeup brushes, plant a flower in, store bracelets, and there are many more things you can do! This cleansing balm is directed to all skin types and I have very oily skin and it is amazing for my skin. I would recommend it to anyone with acne. Have you tried this? What are your thoughts? Did you feel differently? Let me know in the comments!

The ONLY thing that tamed my hormonal acne!!
First photos are from September 2019 Second set I took 5 min ago! As you can see, my acne has not completely gone away; I still get hormonal breakouts, especially on the right side under my mouth, which seems to be some kind of hot spot. The biggest change that I can see is the level of inflammation I used to have (yikes!) and how much less congested I look now!! I’m FINALLY seeing a change in the blackheads on my nose that just wouldn’t budge for so long. Ok, I’m sure ur like “let’s got on w the program, please!! Make it snappy!!” The only thing that’s helped decrease the number of breakouts, the congestion and oiliness of my skin is a medication called Spironolactone. Spironolactone is a diuretic drug that is commonly used for high blood pressure but is now being more commonly used as a treatment for hormonal acne due to it being an anti-androgen drug; essentially, it blocks testosterone so your body produces less of it, which in turn, decreases oiliness and decreases breakouts. This is why it’s so great for hormonal acne sufferers. It targets the root of the cause instead of just patching up the problem. I’ve been using Spiro for almost a year now, and the only real side effect that I’ve noticed is it makes you pee a bit more often due to its diuretic properties, but it hasn’t effected me much at all. I take it in the morning to make sure I’m not peeing all night lol. Because of spironolactone, my cystic acne has decreased to maybe 1-2 a week instead of 1-2 a day, which is a HUGE win for me. At the very least, I’m seeing some real improvement. I know that medication isn’t on anyone’s top of the list as far as treating acne goes, but I think this is a great option to look into, especially if you feel like you’ve tried everything! To me, this was my last step before accutane, and I’m so so happy this is working for me so I don’t have to put my body through that. Although I’m not completely acne-free, I finally feel like it’s manageable, and I can actually go a whole week without flare ups, which used to be unheard of. If you have any questions or if there’s anything I didn’t touch on, please feel free to comment!
