Pre-Gym Morning Skincare: Anti-Redness Routine!
Before I go to the gym, I try to keep it as simple as possible! But some mornings, I need to deviate from the moisturizer+sunscreen formula to add in some extra soothing ingredients for my sensitive combination skin. My skin is acne prone, so I layer lightweight serums to get the job done: • NIOD - Modulating Glucosides

3 Paula Choice Skincare Routines ❄️☃️❄️
Hey guys!!! I love Paulas choice products especially the PAULA'S CHOICE - Omega+ Complex Moisturizer and PAULA'S CHOICE - 0.3% Retinol + 2% Bakuchiol Treatment !! Over on their IG they posted suggested skincare routines created by their client social services consultant Allie, I wanted to repost a few today for dry and dehydrated combo skin since it's cold outside which can often lead to dry/dehydrated skin. Paulas choice is another great brand to reach out to if you have questions!!! Just pick the products in black for an essential routine and include the products labeled in white for a full advanced routine. I do want to point out that there is NO perfect skincare routine, you need to listen to your skin. If you are feeling really dry you might want to add a heavier ceramide moisturizer or if your skin is starting to feel irritated back off on your exfoliation. Use these suggestions as a way to get started but still adjust or take away products by how your skin feels. Do you wish more companies would post suggested skincare routines based on skin type?? #cheriecreator
Dry Weather Serum: CBD + Cica + Oils
With autumn in full-swing and winter ahead of us northern hemisphere folks, dry weather is sure to come for many. Heaven-sent for those with oily skin, but those of us with combo, normal, or dry skin may be dreading the change of humidity and the accompanying change in skin calmness/water content. My sensitive, combo skin gets dry and red in the winter, so I’ve been loading up on soothing and hydrating serums, including one I enjoyed in early spring- PAULA'S CHOICE - CBD Skin Transformative Treatment Milk The CBD Milk from PC is a silky, surprisingly thin serum that spreads easily and soaks in quickly to nourish skin with a variety of humectants and emollients while CBD (100mg), centella asiatica extract, phospholipids, vitamin E, and a variety of non-fragrant plant oils soothe and calm skin. I love this serum for how easily it calms any redness in my skin and makes my skin *feel* less irritated, perfect for lightweight moisture and soothing power in the autumn and winter. $49 for 30mL is steep, but with how easily triggered my eczema is when my skin is dry, it’s a good investment that keeps my skin chill! #CheriePartner

Which peptide is for you ❓
Peptides are one of the best anti aging ingredients out there. Unfortunately there isn’t too much scientific studies yet but the ones that have been conducted have been very positive. The great thing is that there tons of peptide options for different steps in your routine or different concerns which means you can try out different options. The Ordinary - Argireline Solution 10% This is a serum that targets dynamic lines and has shown to have a 15-25% deduction in treated fine lines. The Ordinary - Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density This is a hair serum that peptides are the primary ingredient that is used to stimulate growth. The Ordinary - "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1% This is an anti aging power house with a combination of peptides, including copper peptides that are proven to be widely effective. This serum also improves over all skin texture including fading acne scars. THE inkey LIST - Hepta-Peptide Anti-Aging Serum This is a creamier serum that feels soft on the skin and has a variety of peptides. THE inkey LIST - Peptide Moisturizer This is a moisturizer that contains peptides which makes it very easy to incorporate peptides into a routine. This is a gel/cream blend which is easily smoothed on to the skin. NIOD - Modulating Glucosides This is a very scientifically innovative serum with a large variety of peptides that focus on skin barrier repair. VERSED - ZERO-G Smoothing Eye Cream This is a gel/cream hybrid with peptides to treat find lines and algae to hydrate. This also has mild colour correction and illuminating properties.
A serum to save your skin barrier
Niod is a seriously science focused brand that creates innovating products on the cutting edge of science. It is a brand under the Deciem brand (the abnormal beauty company) which includes Niod, hylamide and the ordinary. Due to their quest to develop new skincare technology they are the priciest brand in the Deciem family. It is not only science driven but cruelty free, fragrance free and designed to improve skin health. As mentioned this is the more expensive line with prices between $30-$90 cad, this product is in that lower range and is suitable for sensitive skin or any skin with a damage barrier The primary technologies (there are more included) are described on the NIOD SITE site as: Bio-Active Glucosides A complex for dermal balance that acts through multiple pathways to soothe skin immediately by targeting the "cross-talk" stimulated by pro-irritant mediators. Multi-Molecular-Lipid Complex A synergistic and potent blend of Oat Synthetic Analogues, Ceramides, Purified Ginger Root and other dermal-friendly lipids to reduce signs of redness, itching, stinging and burning. (https://niod.deciem.com/product/nid-modulating-glucosides-30ml?redir=1) What this does: This product seriously reduces any redness, flakiness and irritation on the skin. It smooths on to the skin and gets to work repairing the barrier. Price: This costs $29 cad on Deciem for 30mls. Texture: This is a unique product that is thicker and yellow (see the second picture), it massages great not the skin leaving it to feel very soft. Verdict: I have found that this works wonders to sooth my skin when it’s irritated.NIOD - Modulating Glucosides

I am a huge skincare lover and love to try out ingredients and brands. Check out my collection and my favourite brands and products. Favourite brands: Versed: this is a brand that I have tried many products and they have worked well for me. This is a drug store brand that is mid range. It is cruelty free and eco conscience, going so far as to state the percentage of usage of recycled material and having recycling instructions on their website. My holy grails are VERSED - PHOTOS, PLEASE BRIGHTENING TIGHTENING MASK and VERSED - Doctor's Visit The ordinary: this is a great brand as it is super affordable and it’s cruelty free. The way I like to benefit from this brand is to try out ingredients to see what works for my skin, their serums are my favourite. My holy grail is The Ordinary - "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1% The Inkey lists: this brand is similar to the ordinary but I think some of their formulas are better. They focus on ingredients that allow me to find the best ingredients for my skin, they are also cruelty free. My holy grail isTHE inkey LIST - Q10 Antioxidant Serum Cosrx:this brand was my introduction to K-beauty and they are very accessible through Amazon ( also cruelty free). They focus on the primary ingredient that is either natural or chemical. My holy grails are COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence and #Cosrx - Full Fit Propolis Light Ampoule[products]#[FiveStars] Brands with 1-2 favourite products: First aid beauty: this brand focuses on healing the skin with the incorporation of oats which are amazing. My holy grail isFIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration Glossier: this is a brand started by a beauty editor and are all very aesthetically pleasing and gentle on the skin (cruelty free). My holy grail is Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser Paula’s Choice: this is a great brand that is science driven (cruelty free). My holy grail isPAULA'S CHOICE - Youth-extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 Pyunkang Yul: this is a K-beauty brand that started in a medical clinic and focus on short ingredient lists. My holy grail isPyunkang Yul - Essence Toner Pixi: this is an English brand that has lots of products and lines to target different issues (cruelty free). My holy grail is pixi - Hydrating Milky Mist The body shop: the body shop is a very established brand that has tons of products (cruelty free), I love their masks in particular. My holy grail isTHE BODY SHOP - Tea Tree Face Mask Niod: this brand has the same parent company as the ordinary but it is the more expensive and technologically advanced. I love that they are pushing the bounds of skincare (cruelty free). My holy grail is NIOD - Modulating Glucosides
Current favourite sunscreen
Paula’s choice is a very science driven brand that prides its self on transparency. They are cruelty free, have a massive array of products and have an ingredients encyclopedia on their website. It is important for everyone to use sunscreen daily but with my fair skin it is especially important. I have always used a daily sunscreen and therefore I have tried many. When I am not going out I tend to use a combo sunscreen moisturizer but when I am leaving the house I like to split out my products with a separate moisturizer and spf. This sunscreen is an excellent option as it is comfortable and works really well with other products. Texture: This is a light liquid texture that is quickly absorbed into the skin. I never have any white cast but I have fair skin so I can’t guarantee that darker complexions wouldn’t have a white cast. Effectiveness: This is a high powered spf (50++) that is very comfortable on the skin and never feels suffocating. PAULA'S CHOICE - Youth-extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 this will definitely remain one of my staple spfs.
Products I Use Instead of Drunk Elephant
Yes I’m a fan of DE products but at the end of the day, their prices are SO high and it’s unnecessary to have a good skincare routine. Over time, I’ve found myself preferring other brands for specific items and they also happen to be cheaper. I wouldn’t call these exactly dupes, but they’re not the furthest from it. 🐘 Lala Retro Sure. This moisturizer is nice and heavy and the new formula now has Ceramides in it. It also has 6 rare African oils too. But it’s also $60 for 1.69 oz and for something I need to use nightly, that’s just not an ideal price point for what you’re getting. 💙Alternate: Healing Ointment by CeraVe Yes. You read that correctly. I was skeptical at first but after seeing glowing recommendations and noting that it has Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides, I gave it a try. For $12 for 5oz this is HIGHLY affordable and honestly, it rocked my life. This product is highly hydrating, doesn’t break me out at all, and even seems to be a great partner for my drying retinol. My skin looks better than before and I give this little drugstore find serious credit for that. The product is still on after a full night’s rest too and has helped me with dry spots on my body as well. Seriously try this! 🐘2. TLC Framboos At $134 for 1.69 oz, I look back on this purchase and genuinely feel like I let myself be robbed. Sure, this product is packed with lots of acids that are great for resurfacing the skin including AHA, BHA, lactic acid, etc. but honestly, my results were never to die for and that price tag is insane. 💛Alternate: Honeymoon Glow by Farmacy At $58 for 1oz, this is still fairly pricey but this brand unlike DE does regular sales and puts this in kits where you can save money too. This is a gorgeous resurfacing night serum with AHA, gentle flower acids and honey. It does also give me a glow in the morning! I’ve seen better and more immediate results from this product and would grab this before TLC Framboos any day. This also seems to work for my breakouts more. 🐘Umbra Tinte This just isn’t it for me. At $36 for 2 oz and SPF 30, I’m just not in love with this product compared to a few cheaper finds. If you’re going to go for tinted sunscreen Supergoop has several alternatives like Matte Screen. 💚Alternate: Centella Green Level Unscented Screen At $16 for 2oz and SPF 50, this is my favorite by far! It doesn’t leave skin feeling sticky at all, there’s no white cast and it is calming for the skin. This is also reef-safe. Like I said, this isn’t necessarily a dupe for the DE product but this is a way better sunscreen in my opinion and is almost half of the price. This is almost like a moisturizer and makes my skin feel so smooth. It also doesn’t feel gross reapplying this throughout the day. I love it! Quick Morning Skincare Routine
Here's my quick morning skincare routine! My main skin concern is hyperpigmentation, so the star of this routine is my holy grail vit C serum, BeautyStat COSMETICS - Universal C Skin Refiner . I started by washing my face with the iS CLINICAL - Warming Honey Cleanser , it's an ezymatic cleanser that's also hydrating. Followed that up with my favorite hyaluronic, THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Serum and the BeautyStat COSMETICS - Universal C Skin Refiner . Used my LORD JONES - Acid Mantle Repair CBD Moisturizer this is perfect for all skin types! And topped it all off with elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 .

Worth trying new affordable k beauty products
If anything such as #igiftedmyself category exists then this should fit in the same. one of the K beauty brands that I most often see but wasn’t able to put my hands on. I know this sunscreen is most of your favorite I hope it turns out to be my favorite too as it has all the great qualities of a good one. Featured in the picture today is P𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐨 P𝐮𝐫𝐞 V𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧 C 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐦 The packaging looks Simply gorgeous but there is a reason behind keeping this dark and that is reduce the oxidation process & protect the contents from direct sunlight. Consisting of Vitamin C 5% hyaluronic acid 89% along with niacinamide and red ginseng, the serum claims to relieve acne scars, dark circles, and freckles, with whitening functionality and prevent skin aging. C𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 U𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 S𝐮𝐧 Just tested on hand & I’m almost impressed by the transparency of this sunblock, spreads over in a thin layer and settles down quick SPF50+ PA++++ and photostable UV filter to provide soft yet powerful protection from UV rays. I’m really happy to try these, Looking forward to try more from Purito! 🌱

K-beauty to the next level!!
Krave - Great Barrier Relief marketed as a skin soothing serum that is meant to restore your damaged skin barrier while also evening out the complexion. It’s meant to nourish using Tamanu oil and other nutritious ingredients to replenish what your skin is lacking! The texture of this serum is creamy almost moisturizer like texture. I do not have a current picture of the texture because I’m on empty :(( but it is so easy to apply and not sticky at all!! My opinion: I absolutely adore this serum. When it’s winter or when my skin is struggling in any way this is my go to. This product is amazing. It’s so soothing, and I truly notice how soft and how calm my skin is overnight! It feels so smooth and amazing on my skin and is just to die for. The ingredients are amazing and the owner of the brand is so interactive as it’s a small brand so it’s super nice to also be behind the whole brand. I will ALWAYS have one of these on hand regardless of what my skin care routine looks like. It’s a must have! I would one hundred percent recommend this product to anyone and everyone. It is so amazing for sensitive skin especially if your skin is suffering from dry weather or overuse of stripping products. It’s 28 dollars and every time one is bought money is donated to the Great Barrier Reef! It’s amazing!! 5/5 from me :)
