Ingredient Breakdown: Peptides

Skinsitive
Collagen is a protein made up of amino acids, imparting bounce and firmness. But collagen can be broken down by free radicals (hello, oxidizing fragrance/volatile essential oil compounds), smoking, UV rays, and age. Age contributes to collagen loss also because your body makes less collagen peptides after some time in your 20s. Topical collagen-containing products don’t work, as collagen molecules are too big to pass through the epidermis. Instead, use peptides to help it act younger and make more collagen! Peptides (also made up of amino acids) are small enough to get to the dermis where collagen is made. In response, skin should start making more peptides to form more collagen. Copper peptides are considered particularly beneficial, though the main benefit over normal peptides is their wound healing capability, making them wonderful for those with acne, on top of their anti-aging benefit. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream
contains 9 varieties of peptides, including copper peptides, as well as a variety of amino acids, fatty acids, and humectants. I love this gel-cream, it’s wonderful as a multifaceted moisturizer that is light enough for oily skin and helps fight signs of aging. PAULA'S CHOICE - Peptide Booster
contains 8 peptides, amino acids, fatty acids, and a variety of humectants. No copper peptides, instead incorporating a variety of antioxidants, helping to contribute to the calmness of skin and prevent free radical-induced breakdown of collagen. An amazing anti-aging serum with a texture that sits between creamy and silky, sinking in quickly and giving my skin quite a bit of plumpness. This would be the best of the bunch for a multifaceted anti-aging peptide product. The Ordinary - "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1%
contains seven peptides -one of which is a copper peptide- plus a variety of amino acids and hyaluronic acid. It’s a simple yet effective serum that is a bit tacky and smells of metal, but the results are worth it. Applying it to a scab/large acne lesion nightly speeds along its healing noticeably- plus I see less hyperpigmentation develop afterwards. I can’t recommend this enough as a budget-friendly entry into peptide serums!

At home dermaplaning
I’ve been doing a lot of research on at home dermaplaning because it’s something I’ve wanted to try but needed all the information first. What is dermaplaning? Dermaplaning is a skin treatment that uses an exfoliating blade to skim dead skin cells and hair from your face. It's also called microplaning or blading. Dermaplaning aims to make your skin's surface smooth, youthful, and radiant. ... It's also used to remove “peach fuzz,” the short, soft hairs on your face. Estheticians may do this as part of a facial or as it’s own service. But, with the proper tools and some patience, you can do this treatment at home. While looking for information on dermaplaning, I found that it could be done on a dry face or with facial oil. I was a title nervous to try it with oil for the first time, what if I slipped?! So dry skin it was for my first attempt. I sprayed my face with HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Spray and wiped it with a cotton round to remove excess oils. Then, once my skin was dry I started dermaplaning on my cheeks. Using light downward strokes, avoiding my sideburns. After my cheeks, I moved to my forehead. I was surprised how much flaky skin was being removed from that area!! Once the broad areas were complete, I moved to my jaw line, around my mouth, and finally around my nose. My skin is most sensitive in this area, so I think next time I’ll avoid it all together. It was a fairly quick process. I went slow as to not nick my skin. A light hand is key. And don’t go over the same area again and again, as it can lead to irritation. When I was finished, I rinsed my face with warm water and immediately applied The Ordinary - Matrixyl* 10% + HA as it is a humectant and I also used The Ordinary - "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1% along with a generous amount of The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA and The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane once all of that had soak in thoroughly, I lathered on my SPF for the day. Be cautious about applying any acids the first day as they may irritate your skin. But let me tell you, my makeup looked fantastic all day long. I had way less breaking up around my nose and mouth than I normally encounter. The foundation laid so smoothly and lasted much longer. I’m very happy with the end result. When I attempt dermaplaning again in a few weeks, I’m going to try it using oil and I’ll let everyone know how it goes! *I’m not a professional esthetician or make up artist. This is just my personal experience and I am in no way encouraging others to try this or any other procedures at home*

Let’s talk skin care for mature skin
Ok... so I have mature skin and these are a few gems I have found that have helped keep the aging process at bay!!! CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream this is simply amazing!!! It quenches my skin and has repaired my skin barrier. I use this at night as my last step. Wake up with supple and soft skin. This is great as a hand cream as well!!! The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I use this 2x a week. I love it!!! Chemical exfoliation is amazing and effective. My skin tolerates this well, so I leave it on the full 10 minutes. I follow up with my moisturizers. THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Serum this is my go too!! I love that it isn’t sticky and absorbs well into my skin. This is always a staple in my AM and PM routine. Follow this with a moisturizer. THE inkey LIST - Q10 Antioxidant Serum I love this. This is a little thicker than other serums, but this is great for aging skin. This is part of my PM routine as a final step before my moisturizer. The Ordinary - "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1% I use this every other night on the nights I do NOT use the peeling solution. This is great for aging skin as well. The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane this is my other go to opposite the buffet solution. As always I follow with moisturizer. The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG this is my go to for my eyes in AM. Gives added energy to tired aging eyes!! Love love love this!!!! The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution I use this a few times a week. I tend to use this in the AM so it does not counter the other acids I apply at night. It is great after my shower. I allow my skin to set and dry for 5-7 minutes before applying my serums in my routine. e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face Cream this is my morning moisturizer. I love it! Provides the perfect amount of hydration without the heaviness. Lays beautifully underneath my makeup.

Ingredients to Build your Routine Around
I am 35 years old with two kids. I have dry / normal skin. My top concerns are fine lines & wrinkles, preventing aging, dullness, and dark circles. When I started my skincare routine, all I knew was that I started to notice fine lines & wrinkles and wanted to buy new products for “anti-aging”. After a lot of research, here are my Top 5 Ingredients with proven benefits for 30s Skin: 1. Retinol Retinol is a powerhouse for wrinkles. It is a synthetic derivative of Vitamin A. It alters the behaviour of aged skin cells. It smooths skin texture, enhances radiance and treats aging. Retinol can be irritating to skin, so build up your tolerance gradually starting with a lower percentage and only 1-2 days per week. DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream Murad - Ready, Radiant, Retinol SKINCEUTICALS - Retinol 0.3 SUNDAY RILEY - Luna Sleeping Night Oil If you need an alternative to retinol because you have sensitive skin or you are pregnant or breastfeeding, bakuchiol is a good plant-based all natural alternative to retinol or rosehip oil is high in Vitamin A. HERBIVORE - Bakuchiol Anti-Aging Serum BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil 2. Vitamin C A potent antioxidant that helps reduce skin inflammation, irregular pigmentation, and promotes healthier collagen production. It neutralizes free radical damage and great for AM routine. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Time to Wake Up Duo SUNDAY RILEY - CEO 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum 3. Exfoliate / AHAs Exfoliation is about boosting cell turnover. You should do it twice a week. Use different acids like lactic acid and glycolic acid. Build up a tolerance. You can use toners, serums, or creams. Kate Somerville - Liquid ExfoliKate Triple Acid Resurfacing Treatment SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum 4. Peptides Peptides preserve and boost collagen production. Peptides are short chain amino acids that act as building blocks for proteins such as collagen. It improves the appearance of firmness and wrinkles. Extensive research supports that peptides improve skin function and appearance. The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' OLAY - Wrinkle Correction Serum with Vitamin B3+ Collagen Peptides PAULA'S CHOICE - Peptide Booster 5. Hydration In your 30s your skin tends to get dehydrated. Hydration will plump up skin. Add a hydrating toner, facial spray, hyaluronic acid serum. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 **BONUS** SPF Never forget you sunscreen ☀️

FINALLY! It’s mine!
This is one brand I’ve been stalking and I’ve finally got my hands on the highly raved, much talked about PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator I’d say what really draws me to this particular brand is its commitment to highly effective, well tested products. I feel they really listen to their customers and value their feedback. Well, imagine my surprise when in pops an email from a Paula’s Choice social media team member asking for my address to send me some products just for being me?!? I couldn’t respond fast enough with a...., “YES!” I’m not sure why I’ve been sleeping on this brand for so long. I follow so many diehard fans that swear and have visual proof of the changes their products have made. I have a feeling it’s all going to change after this... Just a little about PC if you haven’t heard of the brand (taken from the website) : Did you know that the founder, Paula was actually fired from her job working at a cosmetic counter for explaining to a customer what products could and couldn’t do for their skin? (This is what we need more of!! I was immediately drawn to the brand when I first heard about that!) Our Philosophy Science & Truth Highly Effective Formulary Excellence Non-irritating & Fragrance Free Multi-faceted Formulas Cruelty Free Packaged for Potency Environmentally Conscious On the website you can find Skincare Quizzes that can help you develop a Instant Routine or develop a more in-depth Routine at no cost! I’ve had on my wishlist, along with the exfoliator I just received, their PAULA'S CHOICE - Resist C15 Super Booster PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Booster PAULA'S CHOICE - Peptide Booster PAULA'S CHOICE - Anti-Aging Eye Gel Honestly, I want to try it all! I’d probably start swapping out some of the products I currently use for similar items. For instance, I am looking for a replacement vitamin c so I’d trade mine out for theirs. Then the Niacinamide and Hyaluronic and so on. I’m definitely going to do the skincare quiz and see what’s recommended for me! Do you use any Paula’s Choice products? What’s your favorite? Please share! 😘 I’ll be back in a few weeks to tell you what I think of this exfoliator! ❤️🍒

Products Getting Me Through Winter! ❄
Since I can remember I've had oily to combination skin, until this winter. It's been a rough one! My skin has been SO dry, and it's hard to keep up with it. Especially since I'm prone to acne and clogged pores, so I can't use a lot of heavy creams and pore clogging products. These I wouldn't be able to live without this winter! COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence 🐌 I love this essence! This is a Korean product (Korean skin care will always be a hit). And it's made with Snail Mucin, weird right? This contains 96% snail mucin, which has incredible healing and antimicrobial properties. It promotes collagen production and aids in skin regeneration. And it's a top pick for dry skin types because of its amazing ability to hydrate. This has a jelly-like texture and I find myself ALWAYS reaching for this. Most of the claimed benefits do come with time. Another product I'm loving is the DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum 💧This is a serum that came in a DE kit and I really want the full size! This seriously feels like a cold drink of water for your skin. It's lightweight and spreads nicely. It not only has Sodium Hyaluronate, (which is like hyarulonic Acid on steroids) but also Pineapple Ceramide and provitamin B5, an amazing humectant. As well as a lentil/apple/watermelon complex. It's not crazy different from other Hyarulonic Acid serums I've tried, but it's great! I finally got to try the cult favorite DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream . And wow I'm glad I did! This cream does have a few possible pore clogging ingredients so I was afraid to use it, but It's helped my dryness so much! It feels sooo moisturizing and soothing. I love that this is a protein moisturizer that has peptides, growth factors, amino acids, and pygmy waterlily to improve your overall skin health. This is an amazing anti-aging and skin strengthening moisturizer. I love using this it's a great experience. I already reviewed this incredible product, the Glossier. - Balm Dotcom 👄 It's become a staple lip balm for me. It's extremely hydrating and packed with antioxidants and natural emollients. It has Castor Oil, Beeswax, and Lanolin to seal in moisture. It leaves my lips looking sooo hydrated and smooth. It's THE perfect lip balm and I am obsessed. Feel free to comment or ask any questions below 💗

drunk elephant review with fungal acne🐘💗
as someone with fungal acne, buying the same products can be reaaallyyy boring. so this is my review of drunk elephant as someone with fungal acne!! * disclaimer, NONE of these products are fungal acne safe!! use at your own risk * DRUNK ELEPHANT - Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser this cleansing balm doesn’t really emulsify when you activate it with water, leaving a really oily feeling😕 and doesn’t remove all my makeup DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample this is a really nice gentle foaming cleanser... and thats pretty much it. DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum i love this serum! its a lovely gel serum that absorbs in quickly and is greak at oil control DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum this serum is a little tricky, i haven’t really noticed a difference in my skin in terms if brightness, i do have a bit of dark spots and they haven’t budged. not to mention this formulation is a rip off of the SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream this is a thicc moisturizer that surprisingly doesn’t leave my oily skin looking greasy af. its a good moisturizer for dry combo skin! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream this moisturizer feels exactly like the lala retro... its just 8 dollars more expensive DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask this mask burns so bad the first 20 seconds but then it settles down. i really havent seen a difference in my skin so DRUNK ELEPHANT - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil ive only used this oil a few times but wow it really makes your skin feel super soft and dewy DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lippe Balm DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lippe Balm i love this lip balm but its 16 dollars and the claim are completely false! in conclusion, i wont be repurchasing anymore of drunk elephant products because in reality they are just good products... nothing too special ESPECIALLY for the price. they aslo didn’t want to provide information about the percentage of black employees during the Pull Up Or Shut Up movement so yeah. their aesthetic is cute but ive grown out of this phase 😀 like and save!! xo melanie

Battle of the Hydration Serums: Hyaluronic Acid
Battle of the Hydration Serums: Hyaluronic Acid
Me: Combination Skin, Eczema, Hormonal Acne, Very Sensitive. I had dehydrated, super oily skin for the longest time. I started using a hydrating serum (Drunk Elephant B-Hydra) and by giving my skin the hydration it desperately needed, I saw my sebum production reduce drastically. Over the years, I’ve used different HA-packed serums and want to share my experience. In the photo, they’re organized from thickest (Drunk Elephant) to thinnest (NIOD), but I’ll be ranking them from least to most favourite. 5. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 is a fave of many budget ($6.80/30mL) routines. It is a goopy, odorless serum that’s not quite a liquid or a gel. It utilizes sodium hyaluronate and sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer as well as a couple other hydrating ingredients. Very basic. I used it twice a day. After applying, my skin felt hydrated- and tacky! It took a bit to dry down and made my moisturizer pill. But it did hydrate my skin nicely and didn’t irritate so it’s “okay”. I won’t purchase again. 4. THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum is a good budget ($7.99/30mL) HA serum. It is a thin liquid serum that soaks in quickly. It not only includes sodium hyaluronate and actual hyaluronic acid, but other humectants and a couple peptides as well. It hydrated my skin and didn’t cause any pilling issues- plus I noticed some plumping after a couple weeks of twice-daily use. I would purchase this again if I was looking for a budget HA serum! 3. NIOD - Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex is cool, but pricy at $60/30mL. the thinnest liquid of the group, it soaks in nearly instantly. The INCI list is stacked, including 15 forms of hyaluronic acid and HA precursors, plus peptides, for hydration, soothing, and anti-aging benefits. It soothed redness and made my skin feel so soft and hydrated, very plump, after twice daily use for a couple weeks. But the results aren’t worth the price since I use a separate peptide serum. I won’t repurchase. 2. DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum is a bouncy gel with sodium hyaluronate, sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer, and niacinamide, it costs $48 for 50mL. It soaks in slowly but completely. Twice daily use for only a couple weeks transformed my skin- hydrated and less oily! It also includes pineapple ceramide and plant extracts. I enjoy this serum and can’t recommend it enough to oily/combo folks. I repurchase often as it’s so nice to layer with other serums without any pilling. 1. PAULA'S CHOICE - Hyaluronic Acid Booster is my favourite HA serum. Sodium hyaluronate, hyaluronic acid, 3 ceramides, and many other humectants beef up this INCI list. This serum has helped me so much with my eczema and any redness, making my skin plump, soft, more even, and wonderfully hydrated. It’s a “creamy” gel that I happily apply twice daily, with zero pilling. I’ll repurchase forever, even at $36/15mL.

My Biossance Faves!!
My Biossance Faves!!
Hey Babes!! 👋 Have you feel in love with Biossance like I have?!? As a Licensed Esthetician, I appreiciate that their products are nontoxic, effective and they are free from over 2,00 chemicals!! 🌱 I use two of their products: BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum This serum is awesome!! They use bakuchiol, a plant similar retinol minus the irritaiton!! Bakuchiol boosts collagen and elastin production. This helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles and exfoliates the skin mimizing dark spots and scarring. I like to use the serum at night when my skin can regenerate and love how lightweight it is for fast absorption. It goes on very smooth with no irritation. This also has Squalane and Hyaluronic Acid to bring moisture to the skin! The product is pricey retailing at $72 for 1 Fl Oz Bottle, but it;s worth the price tag for clean beauty! The next product is great for oily and acne skin: BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Tea Tree Balancing Oil This oil is such a life saver for oily and acneic skin!! It really helps control and balance oil production thank to tea tree, grouncherry, squalane and rosemary extracts! Tea tree is antibacterial and antiinflammatory making it the superstar ingredient in this oil! The tea tree smell is very light and non irritating. I use this in the evening after applying my moisturizer and when I wake up, my skin is crazy baby soft WITHOUT looking oily!! A little goes a long way too, so the product lasts longer. This oil retails for $49 in a 1 Fl Oz Bottle. xoxo, Blyssey #Cheriecreator #biossance

My Favourite Anti-Aging Products
My Favourite Anti-Aging Products
“Anti-aging” is pretty much a marketing term. The only things that are going to have drastic results on deep wrinkles are office-only, like Botox and filler. But the best way to fight visible signs of aging is to prevent them and slow their arrival. • Sunscreen: There is legitimately not a single better way to protect your skin’s youth- and health! Sunscreen is so, so important, as windows do not block the aging UV rays and more studies show blue light from electronics also damages unprotected skin. UV rays not only cause/worsen wrinkles and fine lines, but also dark spots. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 is wonderful for dry skin (and/or winter use) and PAULA'S CHOICE - Youth-extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 is amazing for all skin types and those who wear makeup. • Retinol: 0.1% Tretinoin is the strongest retinoid you’re going to find and likely the best for fighting signs of aging- but for prevention, everyone probably doesn’t need that kind of strength. If you want to avoid a prescription, look to retinols, available in up to 1.0% concentration. Retinol increases collagen + elastin production and stimulates skin renewal, via increasing cell turnover. This helps to fade dark spots, improve plumpness, and lessen fine lines- plus it’s known to be helpful for some acne cases. I have been enjoying the gentleness of PAULA'S CHOICE - 0.3% Retinol + 2% Bakuchiol Treatment combined with PAULA'S CHOICE - Retinol Super Antioxidant Serum (0.1% Retinol). I would recommend them for all skin types, though dry skin may appreciate The Ordinary - Retinol 1% in Squalane or another concentration. • Antioxidants: Antioxidants protect skin from environmental aggressors, like pollution and oxidative damage from free radicals. They soothe skin, help prevent fine lines, and can brighten skin, vitamin c being the most popular and well-known. DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum is a fantastic 15% l-ascorbic acid serum that lightens hyperpigmentation and dark spots significantly, but my sensitive skin prefers The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%

Empty! Discoloration serum
Empty! Discoloration serum
❣️ The what: This is the Good Molecules Discoloration Correcting Serum. It is available through Beautylish only at this time. ❣️ The details: This serum is designed to target hyperpigmentation, sun damage spots, acne scars, and uneven skin tone. With continued use, this serum aims to improve the overall appearance of skin. It’s formulated with niacinamide (helps to even skin tone, improve dullness, and shrink pores), tranexamic acid (targets discoloration), and hyaluronic acid (moisture/hydration). It features a dropper applicator, and the product itself is unscented. Good Molecules is cruelty-free. ❣️ My thoughts: I love this serum. I have some redness on my cheeks, and this serum calmed that down after a couple weeks of regular use. This serum can be used AM and PM, which is how I used it when I first got it. I then switched to PM use only and still experienced results. The serum had a clear, thin texture that easily spread on my face. It didn’t cause any of my other skincare products to pill. It never irritated my skin. I did notice an improvement in my pores. I’m sad this is gone! I do plan to repurchase once I run out of a few other Good Molecules products so that I can make an order. This would be awesome for all skin types, even sensitive. Also, the price? It’s a STEAL. ❣️ The price: $12 for 1oz. Mine was sent to me, and I will repurchase myself. 5/5⭐️

Omega+ Serum: Hit or Miss?
Omega+ Serum: Hit or Miss?
The product I’ll be talking about today is PAULA'S CHOICE - Omega + Complex Serum So let’s get to it! What is it? - A superfood serum for your skin with omega fatty acids that strengthen skin's surface with the essential nutrients it needs to be healthy, hydrated and visibly strong. - Available in 1oz for $37, or travel size (0.17oz) for $8. (PC offers 15% off when you sign up for emails, plus they frequently have sales) What’s in it? - Concentrated levels of omega fatty acids help replenish dull, dehydrated skin, revive a beautifully smooth, supple feeling, plus visibly soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. - This serum also contains skin-identical ceramides and hydrating ingredients to visibly improve skin’s health. How to use- - Apply 1-2 pumps onto face and neck. For optimal results, use AM and PM. For daytime, follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or greater. My review- - I have been using this serum for almost a month. I have dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin. - The serum has a milky, creamy consistency. It has a light, ceramide-like scent. I apply two pumps onto my face AM and PM after my toner and before my moisturizer. It spreads easily onto the skin and absorbs at a medium pace. - My experience with this serum thus far has been pretty lackluster. There hasn’t been any results that make me think, “oh that’s definitely the omega+ serum!” It doesn’t make my skin noticeably softer or smoother. I will say that the one time I chose not to put it on, my moisturizer stung a little, so maybe the serum acts as a barrier to decrease sensitivity? I haven’t had any negative results, which is why I gave it 4 stars. It is pretty expensive, and with not having any noticeable positive effects, I won’t be repurchasing this. My plan is to try Krave’s Great Barrier Relief serum after I finish this one! - This serum was a miss for me ❌ Source- - https://www.paulaschoice.com/omegaand-complex-serum/213.html

Perfect if your skincare is missing hydration!
Perfect if your skincare is missing hydration!
This was one of the first products that I actually bought for the ingredient list instead of hype. WHICH IS HOW I SHOULD SHOP FOR SKINCARE. This product has antioxidants, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and allantonin. All of these ingredients are amazing for hydrating the skin and decreasing sensitivity, both totally needed for my skin! I would really say this product would be appropriate for all skin types, even oily because of the addition of niacinamide. HOWEVER those with a confirmed case (please go to a doctor for this quit self-diagnosing, guys) of malassezia (pityrosporum) folliculitis or fungal “acne” should NOT use this product as the galactomyces can feed the yeast and exacerbate the problem. This product is a little sticky feeling on the skin and feels kind of gross at first because I live in SUCH a humid tropical climate but I have adjusted to it. I did take a star for that because it says essence and feels like a quite sticky serum. No fragrance and a great balance of naturally derived products and stable lab ingredients make for an excellent product. This is a perfect inexpensive step (I got it for $17 USD on Amazon) for anyone wanting to experiment with K-Beauty but is reactive/sensitive! COSRX - Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence
