VITAMINS are a must!
I’ve been using vitamin C products for over 3 years and it’s become one of the most beneficial ingredients to incorporate into my routine. I use pure vitamin C oils or serums and have noticed such a big difference in my skins texture and brightness. These are my fav vitamin C products: OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Serum

Update: my acne has reduced A LOT
I’ve been a bit MIA since my last post but here is the progress of my acne. If I were to pinpoint the main reasons why, then it’s these reasons: What I did wrong: - experimenting and using alot of different products. I was in a phase where I loved trying new products and my skin did not like that I was switching products all the time. - I did not spot test new products - overloaded my skin with many products. I don’t know who needs to hear this but a 10 step routine is NOT for acne prone skin. - drank little water each day - used harsh products without re-balancing my skin with soothing products - masked almost everyday What I did to improve it: - reduce the number of products going on my skin. I now use only a max of 3 products in the morning and 5 products at night. - drank 2 litres of water every day - used a soothing pH-balanced toner - used a GENTLE chemical exfoliant - used retinol regularly - masked only every 2-3 days Some products I use in my daily routine that really helped my skin: PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator as an all-over exfoliant PAULA'S CHOICE - BHA 9 Treatment as a spot treatment The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% to fade acne scars Products that I use every 2-3 days that helped my skin: AZCLEAR - Medicated Lotion (mixed with Niacinamide) to fade acne scars DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream to bring out new baby skin ANDALOU NATURALS - CannaCell Glow Mask as a gentle exfoliating mask If you are going through something similar just know to take it SLOWLY. The skin is going through trauma and it is not an overnight success. If you have any questions I’m happy to answer.
Face Picking Relapse & How I’m Moving Forward
So.. it happened. I relapsed and started picking my face again for the umpteenth time. I won’t lie, relapsing on a bad behavior like skin-picking sucks! I definitely beat myself up over it and even gave up entirely on stopping for a few weeks. That is, until I realized that feeling bad about myself and actively allowing myself to pick were absolutely never going to help me stop. The only way to stop is to be kind to myself and try again. Now, I’m choosing not to focus on my relapse or the fact that I was only able to stop for a few days. It’s happened many times before and it will surely happen again. After all, picking is a compulsion, and usually not a conscious choice. In addition to my other “stop picking” behaviors mentioned in my last post , here’s what I’ve been doing since my little revelation: Stopped keeping a tally of “days without picking”I realized I was way too hyper focused on the number of days I could go without picking and it was actually making me think about picking more. If I catch myself picking I stop and move on, I’m basically not making myself feel shame or guilt anymore. This has helped me significantly cut down on picking Started seeing a therapist. I’ve wanted to try therapy for years and finally gathered the courage to do it! My therapist has made it clear that this is a really tough thing to stop but she has been helping me identify why I pick which is something I had never given any thought to. This is helping me to try to find what helps me not pick and behaviors I can do when I feel that “urge”. Even if this doesn’t help me stop picking, it’s been so beneficial to my mental health already. Changed my thinking I’ve been reminding myself that picking is like hitting the “un-do” button on my routine that I’ve worked really hard to develope. My active acne is staying away and the urge to pick lessens significantly when I don’t have any scabs or spots to pick at. Some other things that have really been helping with my skin: DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator Krave - Oat So Simple Water Cream Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream *HG🙌🏼 HERO COSMETICS - Rescue Balm -this stuff seems to heal spots I pick at in hours! I put it on immediately after picking and before bed. Seriously helps cut down on scabs to pick at. I’ve also started to eat more anti-inflammatory food (currently obsessing over blueberries). It may or may not be a placebo effect but I swear my skin has been way less inflamed! First picture is when I “gave up”and second picture is my skin today. I still have a ways to go but I feel like I’m finally making progress.

HELP MY MOM OUT! Mature Skincare Suggestions?
Hi friends! I need your help to develop an ANTI AGING SKINCARE ROUTINE for my mom! She turns 60 years old in March.. Is a retinol newbie...She just started using OLAY - Regenerist Retinol24 Night Moisturizerin December and says she likes the way it makes her skin feel and she is not experiencing any sensitivity. She is particularly concerned about her EYES She generally does not have very sensitive skin, but she doesnt like heavy fragrances either. WHAT DOES SHE NEED? I don’t know much about anti aging but I’m considering these products based on popularity and what she already has... opinions or any other suggestions? She is willing to pay for more expensive things if they work better! What is her routine still missing? Cleanser: ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm Acids: colorescience - AHA/BHA Exfolitaing Cleanser by SkinMedica Serum: CLARINS - Double Serum Complete Age Control Concentrate Eye Creams: Day: LANCÔME - Génifique Yeux Youth Activating Eye Cream Night: Murad - Retinol Youth Renewal Eye Serum Moisturizer: Day: OLE HENRIKSEN - C-Rush Vitamin C Gel Moisturizer Night: OLAY - Regenerist Retinol24 Night Moisturizer Oil: Jurlique - Age-Defying Firming Face Oil I WANT HER TO HAVE THE BEST OF THE BEST PRODUCTS!!! That texture is just *chef’s kiss*
🍊 Let’s talk 𝐌𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐬! 🍊 I haven’t posted about moisturizers much, but I promise I use them! I have way too many open right now actually 🙈 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭? This is the OLE HENRIKSEN - C-Rush Vitamin C Gel Moisturizer. Their website describes it like so: “This innovative, peachy-tinted gel crème instantly illuminates and delivers an energizing burst of 24-hour hydration. It targets fine lines and wrinkles, renews youthful radiance and firms skin—but that’s not all. C-Rush Brightening Gel Crème even improves makeup application, creating a smooth, hydrated canvas for foundation.” 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: •𝟹 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯 𝘊: For addressing visible signs of aging •𝘙𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘞𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵: Rich in antioxidants to help nourish and condition skin 𝐌𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: This stuff smells AMAZING! I don’t always love strong-smelling products but this smells like summer & orange creamsicles and sometimes I literally open the jar just to smell it 😏 I find this cream very hydrating but still lightweight. I’d say it’s a perfect summer moisturizer, though my husband keeps stealing it lately so it may not last me til then! 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞: I got this in a Vitamin C kit because I was really wanting to try the Truth serum & the highly regarded Banana Bright Eye Cream. The kit was $40, and is an insanely good value. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to try this line of products! 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘻𝘦𝘳?? #CherieCreator
Eye Duty - FAB
#firstaidbeautygiftedme their EYE DUTY NIACINAMIDE BRIGHTENING CREAM. . 🤎 This illuminating eye cream instantly brightens, hydrates and smooths the eye area while helping to reduce the appearance of dark circles over time. 🤎 Peach Micro-Pearls help the eye area immediately appear dewy & revitalized, while Sodium Hyaluronate helps smooth & plump. Niacinamide, Pumpkin Seed Extract & Caffeine help diminish dark circles over time by targeting two key causes: skin pigmentation (brown circles) & puffiness (blue circles). 🤎 This clean formulation is allergy tested, safe for sensitive skin, and fragrance free. . 💭4/5 This cream helps with brightening your eye area with a beautiful shimmer it leaves on your skin. It feels amazing, the texture is light and hydrating. Only issue is a few hours later it didn't absorb into the skin and it smeared. Other than that, I really like it. . Can you guess that texture? ✨ Many eye creams don’t wow me. I use them to use an eye cream but I’m never sure if they’re doing anything. But the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Eye Duty Niacinamide Brightening Eye Cream is amazing. It’s brightening, super hydrating and soothing under my eyes. It also contains amazing ingredients like glycerin, niacinamide, squalane, licorice root and caffeine. I’m totally obsessed with it! *product gifted but opinions are my own

Why does my skin react different night vs day?
Over the years I have gone through hundreds of products figuring out what works for me. I have finally found a good set of products that I love, but sometimes when I use certain products in the daytime (such as Bio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oil and certain facemasks, I breakout so much worse than I do when I use the same exact product at night! I am confused by this so I have been wondering if it’s related to my oil levels throughout the day or what? Should I be using more drying products in the day time and hydrating at night? The only ones that really work for me day and night are The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and THE BODY SHOP - Jumbo Tea Tree Oil although I know Hyram has said oils are not for the face
getting off makeup and clear skin with rosacea!
okay... so I know I've posted this before, and Cherie is (devastatingly) closing down, but I thought I'd share one last post. This really works. one is a prescription and there are a couple items missing, so I'll add them to the pictures. Here is the order they say to put on skincare (as depicted) 1) makeup remover/wash (I use Queen Helene cold cream that I SWEAR by, sometimes BURT’S BEES - BURT‘S BEES Sensitive Facial Cleanser ) 2) Facewash/second face wash (I use DERMA•E - Sensitive Skin Cleanser and Joeseph anti Acne soap 10% sulfur) 3) Toner (I use THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Toner ) 4) Serums (I use a few... my prescription Amzeeq, mostly The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% , and DERMA•E - Blue Light Shield Concentrated Serum ) 5) Spot Treatments (Murad - Invisiscar Resurfacing Treatment , tea tree oil when needed) 6) Eye Cream (not pictured - DERMA•E - Firming DMAE Eye Lift Cream ) 7) Moisturizer (2 different kinds depending on how dry I am- pictured: Alba Botanica Aloe Green tea moisturizer, not pictured: skinfix - Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream ) 8) Retinol: Now, because I have rosacea, I use a retinol alternative. The best one for sensitive skin I found is The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion use at night only) 9) Face Oil: HEAR ME OUT: If you have oily skin, it's not the WORST thing to use an oil. As a matter of fact, it may work well. BEST ONE BY FAR IS ROSEHIP OIL. I can't tell you how amazing it is The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil , and JOSIE MARAN - Pure Argan Milk Intensive Hydrating Treatment during the day) wear sunscreen during the day, and put it in place of retinol. I use Glossier. - Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen it's a great light moisturizer, too. And at night in the winter if it's super dry, I'll put petroleum jelly around the corners of my eyes and lips. The results don't lie, Cherie babes (: comment below I'd you know of a better eye cream.

So, to see my unedited, filterless skin, swipe left! Coming on my 8th week of retinol. My skin purged, cleared & is now breaking out again. No inconsistencies within my application. Always Monday & Thursday nights 🤣 When I say breaking out, I mean I’m getting more than just my regular few sits and a pimple. I’m getting massive pimples that are the under-the-skin type. While I’m fine with the breakouts, my major concern is the last image, the hyperpigmentation and massive dark spot. This spot came from probably my worst breakout ever. It was huge. It hurt. And I could. Not. Stop. Picking. At. The damn thing. I have been using alpha arbutin & niacinamide regularly. It has definitely been decreasing the darkness of the spot, but I can’t seem to get rid of it. ALSO I GOT A SKINCARE ORGANIZER 😍😍😍😍 Stay tuned for that! THE inkey LIST - Alpha Arbutin THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serum FIRST AID BEAUTY - Facial Radiance Niacinamide Dark Spot Serum- trial size
I’ll start this off with my favourites: MISSHA - Missha All-around Safe Block Essence Sun Milk I’m so sad that I’ve run out of this. If you don’t like the feel of sunscreens that feel thick and heavy, pick this up! you won’t regret it! I also ran out of the Volition sunscreen that I paired along side this one, but recycled it before I took a picture. Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask (📍) Again, was so sad to run out of this, check out my post featuring this and the new hair mask I picked up for more info! THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serum If I could give this 100 stars out of 10, I would. This is my favourite serum of all time and I always have two back ups in my collection! Now for my meh products: SUNDAY RILEY - CEO 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum I liked the way that this felt don’t get me wrong, but I think because of the shimmer effect it has, it may have been breaking me out a bit. This didn’t have enough in it to last me long enough to see any effects. Kate Somerville - DeliKate Recovery Cream this is unbelievable. Although I will never buy this at the $104 price point, it’s a beautiful, thick, heavy cream. Wonderful for winter skin. fresh - Sugar Hydrating Lip Balm, Watermelon I actually have the lime+mint scent, but this is also amazing. I’ve just began started applying all my lip balms on damp lips, and I’ve found it’s made the biggest difference. No more dry lips! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sili™ Body Lotion (📍) If you’ve seen my marula oil post, you’ve seen that I don’t support Drunk Elephant anymore, this is one of my last products I have from them (that they sent me) and it was too light to be a body cream. I have really dry legs and this didn’t do the trick. I ended up keeping this on my desk as a hand lotion and it worked well! Now for my no good product: Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara (📍) I don’t understand that hype around this mascara. On me, it doesn’t make my lashes look longer or fuller, it flakes super easy and it doesn’t hold my curl. Happy to have finished this so I can move on. 📍= product was sent to me for free
Must-Have Serums from The INKEY List
Skin Concerns: Dullness, Wrinkles, Hyperpigmentation, Dryness, Textured Skin, Oily Skin, Enlarged Pores The INKEY List is a skin care brand that has been recently popularized due to its amazing ingredients and affordability. The INKEY List invests in their products and less on its marketing campaigns, which allows for better ingredients to be put into their skin care line. There is a diverse range of products that you can choose from the brand, but it can get a little tricky figuring out what should you be using for your skin based on your concerns. Here are my top must-haves for people who are interested in trying out some products but don’t know what to choose. My choices were influenced by reading numerous reviews and self-research about each product. The hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and retinol serums are my favorite serums from this line. They are also great for people who are beginning their skincare journey and are literally the gentlest of their kind. Hyaluronic Acid ($7.99) keeps your skin hydrated throughout the day. I like to apply this after cleansing my skin (while my face is damp) in the morning and evening. The hyaluronic acid serum has kept my face smooth during the winter months, which is when I’ll usually experience flaky skin and dry patches. Retinol ($9.99) is a popular ingredient (best suited for ages 25+) used to reduce the signs of aging such as wrinkles, dark spots, dullness, and textured skin. Niacinamide ($6.99) is great for oil control and keeping acne at bay. I use both the niacinamide and retinol serums together in the evening after cleansing. In conjunction, they work tremendously together and I have noticed a more even texture of my skin, diminished dark spots from on my cheek from acne scars, and reduced fine lines around eyes and smile lines. My pores looks cleaner too! I am on my second bottle of the retinol serum and I will definitely be repurchasing it again. For the results that I’ve seen from using these products and the price point, it’s definitely worth checking out The INKEY List. It’ll save your skin and save your bank account. #cheriepartner #sponsored #theINKEYList #niacinamide #retinol #hyaluronicacid #bestserums
The PERFECT retinol for sensitive skin!
Did you know retinol is derived from vitamin A? PRODUCT: This retinol serum by _ helps target the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with less risk of irritation. Retinol also stimulates collagen production. It boosts skins clarity and texture for a brighter complexion. The key ingredients are: ✨RetiStar retinol: a combination of ingredients including vitamin E, castor oil, retinol, and sodium ascorbate. -vitamin E is an antioxidant, it helps fight off free radicals on the skin. It’s also a natural anti-inflammatory. -castor oil has anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties. The fatty acids in castor oil help the growth of healthy skin tissue. -sodium ascorbate tightens and minimizes the appearance of pores and is considered an antioxidant. ✨Granactive Retinoid: helps renew skins elasticity, hydration, and plumpness for a more radiant complexion. ✨Squalane: improves the skins elasticity and suppleness MY THOUGHTS: I have extremely sensitive skin and was looking for a retinol that wasn’t really strong but still effective. I am SO glad I found out about this serum a few months ago because I am hooked! It has extremely lightweight texture, doesn’t feel sticky, and doesn’t irritate or dry my skin at all! I use a pea size amount and pat it in, it absorbs within seconds! I’ve loved incorporating this retinol into my nightly routine and have noticed a significant difference in my skins complexion. I also feel that it controls blemishes that pop up uninvited. SIDE NOTE: 🌱🐰 This product is vegan and cruelty-free

Accutane = complete!
I have finished my round of accutane and wanted to share with everyone! The bottom photos is what I look like after applying my skincare that I have below. My skin definitely loves it! I still have some scarring to deal with but I am no longer having any breakouts! My skincare routine: spectro - Jel Cleanser I absolutely love this cleanser. I used this while on Accutane and I did not have any problems with it so this will be my go to cleanser now. dermalogica - Multi-Active Toner I’ve been using this for about a month and my skin is loving this! I spray this on damp skin to really hydrate my skin. OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Serum I use this because this is really the only vitamin c serum I have used. If anyone has a recommendation let me know! dermalogica - Stress Positive Eye Lift MaskI haven’t rated this because I just started using this. Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion I’ve been using this for months and I actually love this! I also mix a few drops of The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil with it to lock everything in. I finished off with Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 I actually love this sunscreen!
Helps brighten my skin and add back bounce . My skin looks glowing and plump after each use. Must have
My Current AM Routine
I feel like my routine is always changing due to purchasing new products to try and review, however here is my current AM routine. HOLI FROG - Tashmoo Water Lily Nourishing Milky Wash (fragrence free) I've only just recently started using this, but I will say I like this one. I find it similar to LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser Holifrog is a little more hydrating since it feels like a lotion than a cleanser. The La Roche cleanser is a good dupe if you need something a little cheaper and at the convince stores. If you have dry skin I highly recommend Holifrog, but if you have normal to oily skin and are just experiencing some sensitivity (like your skin barrier) then I would go with La Roche. COSRX - Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence (fragrence free) I really enjoy this product because I feel like I am getting a good size value for the price. It also doesn't feel any different than any other HA essence or serum that I've tried (one being a very expensive one). Krave - Great Barrier Relief (fragrence free) This guy is definitely my holy Grail and I have reviewed it before. I use it daily due to my dry skin, but if you have normal to oily skin I definitely recommend having this on hand especially if you like to try new products and if it possibly irritates you or if you over do actives. PETER THOMAS ROTH - Potent-C Vitamin C Power Serum (fragrence free) I've also done a review already on this one. It is very potent and has a stable form of vit C, however unless you are trying to severely even out skin tone or remove dark spots, I would not spend the money. It is definitely pricey (almost $100). If you really need the potency of this product, then go ahead. Otherwise if you are just looking to fix minor issues/use it to go along with your spf, I'd go with a cheaper (still stable) product likeTHE inkey LIST - Vitamin C Serum 30ml(I have not personally tried this inkey list product, but have heard good things about it's ingredients as well as being a reasonable price) FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream (fragrence free) I am really enjoying this new product. It is a step up fromCeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream which I also love for the simplicity and price value, but this one has even more soothing ingredients such as colloidal oatmeal. I like to use this in the morning because it doesn't make my face overly shiny before I head out the door and it also goes well under make up (with a primer of course) #Deoproce - Hyaluronic Cooling Sun Gel spf 50[products]#[FourStars] (NOT fragrence free) I just recently bought this sunscreen and it is my first Korean spf. I love how easily it goes on and it gives me enough glow without looking greasy. My complaint would be that it's not fragrence free, but I'm happy it got me started. Next I'll likely try Krave - The Beet ShieldorTHANK YOU FARMER - Sun Project Water Sun Cream
THE INKEY LIST : brand review
i have been a huge fan of the inkey list for years; their products are affordable, cruelty-free & predominantly vegan, and they only use necessary ingredients! here are a few products of theirs that i am currently using (plus some honourable mentions that i have previously used): 💫THE inkey LIST - Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Toner 💫 this 10% glycolic acid toner works wonders with no irritation or excessive dryness. previously, i used the pixi glow tonic to-go pads which is only 5% but the transition has been very peaceful! it helps to shrink and unclog pores as well as reduce fine lines. i use it every other night! 💫THE inkey LIST - Salicylic Acid Acne + Pore Cleanser 💫 this baby is a miracle-worker for acne. after years of using brands with harsh ingredients such as clean&clear and oxy, this cleanser is a breath of fresh air. it is gentle while quickly clearing up any severe breakouts i have. no tightness of the skin here! 💫NEW!! THE inkey LIST - Succinic Acid Acne Treatment 💫 as soon as i saw that the inkey list had a new pimple fighting product out, i sprinted to order it! this product contains 1% salicylic acid, 2% sulfur powder, and 2% succinic acid, a compound naturally found in the body to help control oil levels and unclog pores while also shrinking blemishes. while it is still new to me, i have found that it has shrunk my pimples as well as reduce the redness and pressure in them!! honourable mentions: 💫THE inkey LIST - Vitamin C Serum 30ml 💫 i used this when i was first getting into having a proper skincare routine. it had this incredible natural smell of what i can only describe as maple and it did truly help to even and brighten my complexion. i will say that it did not agree with broken or super sensitive skin! 💫THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream 💫 i used this product more for puffiness and waking up my tired eyes rather than dark circles and i must say i enjoyed it! immediately after application, my eyes felt super alert and it even made ME feel more awake! i would definitely reconsider purchasing it after i am done my present eye cream. and that’s all folks!! i hope you enjoyed ;) please be sure to follow here and on my IG @chloebrk.mua #cheriecreator
🥰 Gentle exfoliant that gave me baby soft skin❤
Hey everyone!! ❤️ The VERSED - THE SHORTCUT Overnight Facial Peel is the first Versed product I’ve ever bought and WOW! I walked by the Versed display in Target and the cute packaging caught my eye. (I know I’m a sucker for packaging). I grabbed this product first, read the box, and looked at the ingredients and was already impressed. Now a month later, I’m OBSESSED with this product. I use it about twice a week at night and the next morning my skin always feels ~so soft~! For an exfoliating peel, it has been so gentle on my skin. I also love the lightweight cream consistency! I have skin that can handle much stronger AHAs, but I think this lactic acid glycolic acid peel would work great for more sensitive skin too. I picked up VERSED - ON THE RISE FIRMING SERUM the other day while I was at Target because ever since I fell in love with this overnight peel I’ve been dying to try more Versed products. I’ve only used this serum a couple times but will post an update once I’ve been using it for longer. Do y’all know of any other great Versed products for me to try?
VERSED-ON THE RISE FIRMING SERUM
Hey everyone ! Here is a layout of my PM Routine. I try to keep my PM Routine simple as well but also effective. 1. Korres Cream Cleanser, this is my new favorite face wash ! It starts out as a cream and goes to a foam. It’s very gentle but helps clean my face very well. Also very good for removing makeup, you should still double cleanse though. 2. Olehenriksen glow2oh dark spot toner is magic in a bottle. If you struggle with hyperpigmentation this is amazing ! It has AHAs to help combat dark marks. It’s smells amazing also !!! I’m currently using a sample but after I run out I will definitely be purchasing the full size ! 3. The ordinary hyaluronic acid serum is my favorite! It helps hydrate my skin ! It’s also super affordable. One thing I can say it’s a bit sticky but works well with other serums. 4. Olehenriksen Vitamin C serum I use morning and night. Vitamin C is my favorite ingredient and helps with overall brightening my skin and helping with hyperpigmentation. 5. Olehenriksen Frightening banana ice cream is a nice eye cream from morning at night to help with dark circles and also brighten your under eyes. 6. Glossier Moisturizing Rich is my favorite moisturizer this is my third bottle it’s very thick and also helps moisturize and hydrate my skin. It has a slight lavender scent but not super powerful and disappears upon application.

Ingredient Spotlight w/ VERSED Anti-Aging Bundle
I tried the youth preserving “bounce back bundle” from VERSED (at Target) for 15 days! Here are my thoughts. ✨ VERSED - ON THE RISE FIRMING SERUM Ingredient of Interest: Resveratrol Function: anti-aging antioxidant found in red wine, well studied in the lab for anti-inflammatory, anticarcinogenic (melanoma), anti-UV properties. Price: $19.99 for 1 Oz Comments: No real complaints about the serum itself, the formula sits on the face comfortably, doesn’t pill or sting. The packaging is minimal but feels a little cheap because of the plastic. I don’t love that the opening doesn’t have a protective mesh barrier to keep impurities from getting into the bottle with use. I haven’t noticed any drastic changes to my skin after two weeks but I don’t mind it in my skincare routine. VERSED - ZERO-G Smoothing Eye Cream Ingredient of Interest: Eyeliss Peptide Triad (HMC, PT-7, and Dipeptide-2) Function: increases lymphatic circulation, reduce “bruising” and blood vessel issues associated with dark circles. Price: $17.99 for 0.5 Oz Comments: I was first drawn to the eye cream because it’s formula (Eyeliss), known in medicine for reducing bruising. I do think this eye cream works much better for me in reducing dark circles than caffeine does!! The cream is not too thick upon application but it does leave an immediate warming (burning for some) sensation which may be concerning for sensitive skin. It’s strange because we can’t really avoid the eye area if it’s meant to be an eye cream! I have noticed results in the past two weeks, however, and will continue to use this! The packing is again plastic and the tiny inside lid fits awkwardly onto the container but it’s something I’m willing to overlook if the formula works. Not badly priced for an eye cream either. VERSED - THE SHORTCUT Overnight Facial Peel Ingredient of Interest: Glycolic and Lactic Acid Price: $9.99 for 0.5 Oz Comments: As I’ve mentioned in a different post, as a regular AHA user, the glycolic and lactic acids are way too far down the ingredient list for me to notice a huge different to my skin but it’s a great intro product. It’s a gentle night cream, essentially sits like a lotion. I am not repurchasing as I can’t justify the price for the amount of product I’m getting- there are far better options out there. Love the sleek packaging though! VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum Ingredient of Interest: Vitamin C derivative (sodium ascorbyl phosphate) and Niacinamide Price: $19.99 for 1 Oz Comments: I only got a sample of this bestselling serum- overall I have no complaints but it didn’t wow me either. I know there are more economical options out there but one perk is that you get Vit C and Niacinamide in one serum! It’s a thicker consistency than other Vit C serums I’ve tried but I wouldn’t say it’s more hydrating- in fact, I actually felt that it was more drying than I’m used to.

Vitamin C procuct | VitabridC12
Vitamin C is one of the top three skincare ingredients that I love using on a rotation. It has been proven to lighten pigmentation, stimulate collagen production and even out the skin tone to protect and prevent further sun damage. I’m sure you might have used a VitaminC serum before, but have you ever seen Vitamin C in powder form? Products I recently discovered by barneysny I like both of them, it absorbs quickly, moisturizes well and leaves a good feeling. Facial Boosting Water has a powerful blend of Peptides, Stem Cells and a HyaluronicAcid Triple Complex that strengthens the skin, restores pH balance, and boosts the effectiveness of your entire skincare VitabridC12 FACE Brightening Powder releases active Vitamin C into the skin over the course of 12 hours. The result? A firmer, healthier, and more luminous complexion ✨
Vitabrid C¹²-Face Brightening Powder
This is my all-time, holy grail, ride or die serum...and I’m out 😭 Here’s a brief overview of my skin before I get into the product review: My skin is not problematic; I get a breakout during ‘that time’ of the month and I have a wee bit of redness in my cheek area. My skin is however incredibly, painfully dry. I can’t use anything that isn’t suitable for dry skin bc, if I do, my skin will feel like it going to crack. The Glass Skin Refining Serum ($39) created by Peach and Lily, is serum that I use every 👏🏻 single 👏🏻 day. I’m seriously bummed that I cannot go out an repurchase this atm. The cocktail of ingredients is amazing for people with incredibly dry skin - it is good for all skin types though. ✨ This serum has a hyaluronic acid complex that draws in hydration and deeply hydrates every single layer of my skin by using long-chain, medium-chain, and short chain hyaluronic acid. ✨ Peach and Lily included niacinamide; an ingredient used to reduce inflammation in the skin. Niacinamide, because it reduces inflammation, is a really amazing ingredient for people with ance-prone skin It’s also and antioxidant, so it’s also a wonderful anti-aging ingredient. When I use this product, my skin glows brighter and my skin feels bouncier! My skin drinks it up! I am constantly trying new skincare products, and I very rarely repurchase unless I am absolutely obsessed. This will be one of the first things purchase once quarantine lifts!

Skincare Line-up: Combo Skin Nighttime🌜(simple)
When my skin is already looking and feeling pretty good, I like to simplify my routine a little just to not over compromise my skin barrier. This routine really helps me nourish, treat and target any skin issues without layering too many products. Background info: My skin is combination and acne-prone. It’s also pretty tough so I don’t get irritation from “harsher” actives and ingredients! SKINCEUTICALS - Hydrating B5 Gel My go-to Hyaluronic Acid serum! It’s my favorite hydrating product because the Hyaluronic Acid seriously plumps up the skin and brings hydration to the surface of the skin. I apply a few drops of this on my palms and press into the skin. SKINCEUTICALS - Retinol 0.5 Retinol Night Cream Retinol! This night cream contains 0.5% pure retinol which helps to promote cell turnover, improves the appearance of lines, wrinkles, discoloration and pores, and reduces breakouts! This particular cream is formulated with a Soothing Complex that calms the skin with Bisabolol and Boswellia Serrata Extract which soothes and comforts the skin. I apply two pea-size amounts on my finger tips, rub them together and press into my skin (focusing on problem areas). THE inkey LIST - Brighten-i Eye Cream Eye cream is one of those things that I have a love/hate relationship with. It’s undecided if I really see a difference as technically my serums and moisturizers should do the same thing- but I recently started using this one from the Inkey List that has brightening properties. I haven’t seen much brightening yet but it has a very lightweight, hydrating formula that I like. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi To lock in all the active ingredients in my toners and serums, I love this cream from Youth To The People because it feels thick and nourishing. The key ingredients in this cream include Squalane, Ashwagandha, and Fermented Reishi which together helps boost skin hydration, minimizes risk of clogged pores, reduces visible signs of fatigue and detoxifies and combats signs of aging. THE inkey LIST - Rosehip Oil Rosehip Oil is one of the most nourishing antioxidant oils. This 100% pure rosehip oil helps to promote softer, smoother skin and the fatty acids help to nourish. I use this as my last step to seal in all my products because it’s so emollient. It always leaves my skin GLOWING✨
