My Glowy Winter PM Routine

avatar
attentionDefiicitbeauty
After a full day of running around fulfilling the needs of my 8mos old (the adorable, pudgy little tyrant she is), my evening skincare routine is a welcome excuse to unwind, and wash off the grime of the day. It not only feels great, but it leaves me nice and glowy. I have sensitive, combination skin, and tend to get drier during the winter time. I like to layer up more during this season on skincare, so here’s my current PM winter routine! I’m not really a makeup wearer, except for filling in my brows and wearing sunscreen. That being said I always begin my PM routine with a double cleanse. I always go back to my tried-and-true oil cleanser, - Hadalabo Gokujun Cleansing Oil 200ml
I love how gentle, effective, and affordable this product is and will always recommend it. Next I go in with Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser
. This cleanser is so gentle, hydrating, and never leaves my skin feeling dry or irritated. It does the job so well, with good-for-your-skin, barrier respecting ingredients, and it basically just smells like freshly brewed Matcha. For the quality it’s very affordable, and if you have sensitive skin, this might be a good cleanser for you! For toner, I’ve been using TONYMOLY - Wonder Ceramide Mocchi Toner
I picked it up about 5 months ago; my skin was just irritated postpartum, and I was looking for an affordable, all-purpose toner. For 23 USD, you get 17oz of product, and I am just now finishing up the bottle. This is very much a no-frills, hydrating, gentle, cost-effective toner and has done a very good job of calming my irritated skin over the past months. About 3 times a week, I pump a few drops of COSRX - 2 in 1 Poreless Power Liquid
onto a cotton pad and swipe it over my problem areas (my t-zone), then tap it in. I’ve been using it for about 2.5 months now, and definitely notice a difference in my pore size! My t-zone looks smoother, and my pore-size has been greatly reduced. I’ve also noticed less breakouts. I feel like I will probably repurchase in the future. I then follow up with a dropper of MISSHA - Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Probio Ampoule
, mixing in one pump of GLOW RECIPE - Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Serum
. This combo is so hydrating and leaves me super glowy. Apply GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream
I love the glow this moisture cream gives, and the way it reduces any irritation or redness. I finish up with GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask
It doesn’t do much for my dark circles since mine are hereditary, but I love how hydrated my under eye area feels with this cream, and a little goes such a long way. What are your current winter routine faves?

Skin Care Products I use Regularly
Can you please tell me which product I should stop using and recommend which new products I should try? I have very oily skin but my skin tends to get irritated and dehydrated after I cleanse it. All the products I’ve been using help me with my acne and blackhead problems and my new goal is to minimize my pores and to have healthy clear skin. Thank you!

Cherie Made Me But It! 🍒 ✨🍉
Hi Cherie Fam 🍒 I came across @Mallory‘s post regarding the avocado sleeping eye mask 🥑 and the niacinamide watermelon drops 🍉. I was intrigued so I did some research and ended up ordering the make your own kit. It comes with 4 sample size items and a bag for $29. I thought I would try to sample the product first and see how it works on my skin before committing to a full size products. I got the •GLOW RECIPE - Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser I heard this cleanser is great for removing make up. I read the ingredient list and I am sold. I can never say no to a gentle cleanser • GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer I am looking for a new day time moisturizer and this seems perfect. This smells so good. It has a thin consistency and feels cool on the skin •GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask I HAD to get this. Dark circles and hollow under eyes are a problem. It’s generic and I love how this contains retinol Glow recipe also included lots of sample items. I didn’t pick up the niacinamide drops because I still have lots from Paula’s choice. However, I am excited to try it and glad I got a sample I will post a review in a month or so and let you all know how it worked out. Xoxo, Francesca 💋

My Last Self-Care Sunday Routine for 2020!
Hey Beauty’s 🙋🏽‍♀️ It’s the last Sunday of the year and I like to take time out on Sunday’s for a my Self-Care 🧖🏽‍♀️ Started my routine with a double cleanse, I use Pure Source Manuka Honey Cleanser as my first clean and follow up with FORMULA 10.0.6 - Rise of the Foam Blemish Busting Cleanser the cleanser gives your skin a deep cleanse without overdrying. It’s filled with hemp seed oil, which attracts and lifts away makeup and excess oil, while salicylic acid naturally boosts exfoliation. I did a Facial steam because steam opens up your pores and helps loosen any buildup of dirt for a deeper cleanse. Opening up your pores also softens blackheads, making them easier to remove. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 First Mask #Wild Ferns - New Zealand Rotorua Warm Mud Face Pack[products]#[FiveStars] The mud warm face pack contains ginger root oil to increase skin radiance and clove oil to purify pores. It’s warm as soon as it’s applied, the purpose to increase circulation. It uses cloves, ginger and cinnamon to simulate the warming sensation, they have great antioxidant and anti inflammatory benefits. Second Mask was Calosemi Hyaluronic Acid Mask, I did a separate review today about this Mask. It’s a K Beauty Mask but check out my review for more details. My Serum of choice tonight is The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I usually use Hyaluronic Acid but I did that step during my masking session. 😉 My night cream tonight is Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer for additional hydration and a Herbal Retinol Night Cream. Last step is GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask I love this product. It’s done wonders for under my eyes. So what did you do for your Last self-care Sunday routine for 2020. I’d love to hear from you. I also made a Greek inspired frittata (tomato, zucchini, feta and onion) for dinner 🥘 and had a banana and berry smoothie for dessert. A gentle reminder that good skin comes from good nutrition as well as skincare. So nourish your insides ladies and gents. Have a wonderful evening! Jade 😃

One Year Progress
Exactly one year apart! I started my skincare journey 9 months ago. I primarily use Glow Recipe, but am slowly venturing out and replacing my lesser favorites of their products. These are some of my tips and holy grails! GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream holy crap this stuff really helped my redness, that was my biggest skin concern 2-3 times a week I do a chemical and physical exfoliant, I got this one in a boxy charm box and fell in love. I would recommend doing this in the shower and leaving it on your face for a couple minutes to really absorb the acids. Also I would recommend skipping the serums and night masks after this. Just use toner, eye cream, and moisturizer. Murad - AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser I mix a vitamin C serum in with my AHA every other morning. I’m undwerwhelmed with GLOW RECIPE - Pineapple-C Bright Serum I don’t hate it, but I think I can find better once I run out. However I love their GLOW RECIPE - Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Serum it is gentle enough (for my skin) to use every morning and night, and one pump is all you need! double cleansing is a must! I’ll just use the tiniest bit of GLOW RECIPE - Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm even when I’m not wearing makeup because it has a lot of good ingredients for your skin. However if your skin is feeling dry, I’d skip it and just use a water based cleanser. I am also underwhelmed with GLOW RECIPE - Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser I’m going to use it for before and after my workouts, but not worth the price point. Plus it is irritating if it gets in your eyes. I just ordered FARMACY - Whipped Greens: Oil-Free Foaming Cleanser With Moringa and Papayafor my morning and night cleanser and I am beyond excited to try it. a nice spray is a must! I use it after I cleanse and after I shower. J.R. WATKINS - Heritage Store Rosewater & Glycerin Spray this stuff is soo good!! My face is so soft after I have to force myself not to touch it. I loved GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist but I got to say I like the Heritage one and it is wayy cheaper. don’t be afraid of supplements! I just got some vitamin E supplements and I’ve been taking magnesium and collagen everyday too. lastly look into anti-aging pillows and silk/satin pillowcases. This is especially important for side sleepers. If you sleep on your side, you are smushing your face against it. When you are young, your skin is elastic enough to bounce back, but you’re hurting your skin over time. YourFacePillow - Anti Wrinkle Back & Side Sleeping Pillow

Best Moisturizers
I have tried many moisturizers but here are the ones I think are best for each skin type! ❤️Best for Oily Skin❤️ CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion This moisturizer is suitable for most skin types but it is great for oily skin types because it contains niacinamide which can aid in controlling the overproduction of oil. It is very moisturizing but it doesn’t make your skin look greasy. I absolutely love this moisturizer and strongly recommend it. 🧡Best for Dry Skin🧡 FIRST AID BEAUTY - FAB Pharma Arnica Relief & Rescue Mask This is technically a moisturizing mask but when my skin is feeling dry I use it as a moisturizer. Is is so soothing and has an interesting texture and smell. The product comes out of the tube blue and with an almost whipped texture. When you put it on your face it sinks in slowly if you apply it as a leave on mask, but if you rub it in it sinks in pretty quickly. I personally love the light natural scent it has (it is almost medicinal) but I realize it may be off putting to others. 💛Best for Combination Skin💛 GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream This moisturizer has niacinamide (can aid in controlling the overproduction of oil), is hydrating, and gives your skin a nice glow. At first I wasn’t a huge fan but with continued use I grew to love it! It has a light banana scent but Glow Recipe product contain extremely little fragrance. I think this would be great for combination skin as long as you don’t mind the glow. 💚Best for Sensitive Skin💚 FIRST AID BEAUTY - Skin Rescue Daily Face Cream This may be my favorite moisturizer! It is hydrating but feels very light on the skin. It sinks in quickly and has a smaller ingredient list so there isn’t a very big risk of irritation. It is very simple but in a great way! 💙Best for Normal Skin💙 FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream If you have normal skin you can use any of the moisturizers I’ve recommended, but this one is really nice, effective, and has a great formula. It is great for dry or sensitive skin as well. It makes my skin feel very hydrated and has never caused issues with my acne prone skin. 💜Honorable Mentions💜 cocokind - Matcha Face Moisturizer This moisturizer is interesting. I feel like that is the best way to put it. It is very thick but it is also mattifying. Because of this, I think it would be suitable for all skin types (including oily) if you prefer thick moisturizers. The one problem I may have with it, though, is that it may have made my milia slightly worse. The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA I think this is a great moisturizer but I personally prefer other ones. If you are looking for a simple moisturizer that it inexpensive and delivers great hydration, this might be a great option. Leave a comment if you have tried these or have any recommendations!

New and Improved Winter Routine
After a lot of trial and error, I think I’ve found a routine that works for me (at least for the time being). I am aware of the PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+controversy BUT I work from home and often don’t run errands until the evening when the sun has already set so I don’t mind continuing to use the product as a moisturizer and for light protection from the minimal rays that come in through my windows. When I do go out during the day, I layer with a second sunscreen. I really love the Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser but have been feeling slightly stripped lately after using it and since I was already running out of the Krave, I figured I’d try something new. I purchased the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser on somewhat of a whim at Sephora the other day. I have noticed that the creamier texture of the FAB cleanser works very well for my skin (at least during the winter months when I get incredibly dry) but kind of feel like the pearlescent look of it is a little gimmicky. I will likely alternate between the 2 cleansers depending on the time of year and how my skin is feeling. I alternate actives every night. My skin is extremely reactive and prone to irritation so I have to take things very slowly when introducing a new active to my routine. For now, I use the CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum on night 1, the By Wishtrend - Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water on night 2, the DIFFERIN - 0.1% Adapalene Acne Treatment Gel Pump on night 3 and no active on night 4 before restarting the routine. I find that the night off really gives my skin a break. I’ve been using Differin for a while but have been a little disappointed in it lately so thought that it might be time to introduce a different retinol product and LOVE the CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum so far. I started with once a week and did notice a little irritation the first few times I used it but that was expected. I think every 4th night is a good place that I can build on if I continue to see better results. I want to incorporate The Inkey List’s Q-10 serum because I have used it in the past and really liked it. I’m not sure where I could include it for the best results and least irritation. I really want to keep at least one night a week where I only use FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner and Aveeno - Calm + Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer after cleansing but am hesitant to layer products. Any suggestions? THIS MOISTURIZER!!! I was skeptical when I first saw this new line from Aveeno because I sometimes find that their products don’t perform as well as I expect. Their lotions often feel like they just sit on top of my skin instead of soaking in but Dr. Dray convinced me and I will be sticking with this one!

The best oil cleanser I have tried!
I have been enjoying this cleansing oil for months now that I am near emptying it and almost forgot to post about it. The Hada Labo Gokujun Cleansing Oil is hands down my favorite cleansing oil for my first cleanse. It is infused with hyaluronic acid and concentrated olive oil as well as jojoba oil which not only effectively rids skin of impurities and even waterproof makeup but also retains moisture. It is gentle and non-abrasive. It has no artificial colorings, mineral oils, essential oils, alcohol and fragrance. It is non-irritating and does not sting. Viscosity is pretty thin and feels almost watery but you still feel that oiliness in your hands. A little goes a long way and it is very easy to spread across the face. Like any cleansing oil/balm, this one also emulsifies and turn into a milky texture/color once you wash it off with water. Make sure your hands are dry when you use this though as it will immediately react to water. It is not expensive and you can also buy refills online. Although I am not sure if it helps with sustainability since the refill it comes in I think is in a plastic container? Hada Labo is a Japanese brand and the japanese trend is all about mochi skin which is skin that is soft, supple, plump and bouncy also known as 'mochi hada' or rice-cake skin owing to the soft and plump Japanese dessert. While korean glass skin mainly focuses on dewy and flawless skin, mochi skin is all about attaining a bouncy texture for the skin. Dr. Dray also raved about it on youtube. l - Hadalabo Gokujun Cleansing Oil 200ml

Acne is back 😩 please help!
Just when I thought my acne was clearing up...it’s back. To give you some back story, I’ve used Curology for the last 4 years and it’s been amazing, up until recently. The last 9 months or so my acne has been getting worse and I tried going off Curology for the first time in a while. As per my last post, I went off Curology and just used the Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanserand the INDIE LEE - Superfruit Creamalong with spf. I also use the #Versed - Doctors visit instant resurfacing mask with AHA-BHA[products]#once a week. My skin was doing pretty well, getting less breakouts and way less redness. I’ve been doing this for 3 weeks now and of course my skin starts breaking out horribly. It’s weird because it’s only on one side of my face. I do sleep on that side usually but I change my sheets and pillowcases often (one a week) so I’m not sure why that would be happening. Let me know if you have any suggestions! Thanks :) Ps. I’ve tried the paulas choice toner in the past and it didn’t help for me :/

Look Well Rested Even If You’re Not😝😝
I don’t know about you, but the quarantine period is really keeping up until the wee hours of the morning, leaving me with about 5 or 6 hours of sleep in a day. It’s not ideal but when you have things to do, you just gotta deal with them (or if Friends is keeping you entertained at night, then you just gotta keep watching one more episode, am I right?). So since I’ve been scrimping on sleep these past days, I need to step up my skincare game to make my sensitive dry combination skin happy and bouncy. Here are my secrets!   Avène - Hydrance Light Hydrating Emulsion I can’t express my love for Avene enough since I lived in France last year. It’s an inclusive French skincare brand that you can find in pharmacies (if you know French women, they do love their pharmacies for shopping skincare products). I find all their products as super gentle on my skin, and really effective too. This hydrating emulsion is a perfect layering product that I use after my essence. It’s light enough but I can really feel that it’s moisturizing. It’s fragrance-free so yay for those who have sensitive skin like mine.   Avène - Hydrance Intense Rehydrating Serum After applying the emulsion, I then layer it with Avene Intense Rehydrating Serum. It comes off as a watery texture but when I massage it onto my face, it feels deeply hydrating. It’s not named ‘intense’ for no reason - perfect for my dry combination skin! It’s lightweight so my skin absorbs it quickly, plus it feels so good on the skin. It’s as if I can feel that my sleep-deprived skin is drinking all the hydrating properties from this serum. Recommend this 100%!   MISSHA - Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Probio Ampoule I then follow the serum with my favorite ampoule, the Missha Time Revolution variant. I’ve been using this for more than a month now, and let me tell you, my skin loooooves it! The fermented properties in this product keeps my face moisturized all day and all night. Plus, I wake up with a glowing skin, I’m not even kidding. You can read my first impression review but now that I’ve been using it non-stop for more than a month, I can really vet the effectiveness of this product. I can’t recommend this enough to my ladies who have dry combination/ sensitive skin. You should grab a bottle now (I know I did).

Why to Ass HA Serum to your Routine
The Ordinary’s Hyaluronic Acid serum is a cult favourite. It has won an Allure Beauty Award in 2019. It retails for only $6.80 CAD. When winter came and I was noticing that my skin was feeling dry by midday it was an easy decision to add it to my routine! Claims It is a pure vegan hyaluronic acid that includes low, medium and high molecular weight hyaluronic acid, at a concentration of 2%. It is supported by Vitamin B5 for enhanced hydration. It targets dryness. Good for all skin types. Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Hyaluronic Acid helps plump fine lines and improves elasticity and dryness. It’s a great addition to your skincare routine once you are in your 30s to help with hydration, as the amount of HA in our skin decreases as we get older. HA is sugar that is found naturally in our skin. It can hold 1000x its weight in water. Eating a diet with lots of fruits & vegetables with antioxidants can also help us retain HA. HA can we found in HA serums, an addition to serums with other actives, and creams. HA plays well with most other ingredients. A cream or serum with HA in different molecular weights allows it to seep into different layers of skin. HA are typically less expensive than other serums such as Vit C. It works best when applied to a damp face or before a water-based serum or moisturizer because it pulls the water into your skin. Otherwise it could pull the water out of your skin. My Experience The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The serum is clear and easily applies. I don’t experience any tackiness. When I first introduced this product to my routine I was using it AM & PM as it recommends, but I started noticing some irritation, red cheeks. I read some people can experience irritation from HA. I scaled back to only using in the AM. I put it on directly after my cleanser and before my Vit C serum. No more irritation. I have noticed that the dryness I was experiencing by midday is gone but I can’t say that I’ve noticed any difference in fine lines or wrinkles. A HA serum with more molecular weights and a higher percentage might have better results. But for $7 I can’t complain. Other HA to try include: VICHY - Minéral 89 Face Serum GLOW RECIPE - Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid SerumPAULA'S CHOICE - Hyaluronic Acid Booster

NEW Naturium & Farmacy BHA comparison
NEW Naturium & Farmacy BHA comparison
Naturium and Farmacy were both gifted in PR. I have oily, dehydrated, acne prone sensitive skin at the moment. For full review on Farmacy’s BHA, check out my page. Here’s a comparison to Naturium’s new BHA ($20/4 oz) and which one I prefer! I have been using Naturium for nearly two weeks. The product is marketed toward all skin types, and claims to do exactly what a BHA does: exfoliates/clears pores, even tone, and smooth fine lines. My experience with this product so far is nice. It’s a more hydrating product, so my dehydrated skin loves it. It’s also alcohol free, oil free, and fragrance free, making this perfect for sensitive skin. The formula is relatively basic, which isn’t bad at all, considering the price! Since my skin is used to salicylic acid, I’ve used this daily since receiving it with no issues. I love to use SA in the morning after I cleanse, and this is the perfect toner step. If you normally tone after cleansing, I definitely recommend using this. My skin is left feeling balanced and it leaves no residue. My pores are noticeably better and I am less oily overall, thanks to the SA. Comparing this to Farmacy’s: Overall, both formulas work similarly, however for oily skin I am leaning more toward Farmacy. I find myself gravitating toward the formula more because it absorbs quicker, has more added benefits and feels more refreshing on my oily skin. If you prefer using SA at night or have drier skin, Naturium is a great option for the added moisture, plus it is more wallet friendly. I just prefer SA in the am, so I prefer what feels best for me during the day.

YTTP Yerba Mate Peel
YTTP Yerba Mate Peel
This mask doesn’t need an introduction. If you’ve been on skincare instagram for the past two weeks or so, you’ve probably have seen and heard all about it. I’m here to simply echo everything that’s been said about it. It’s just as groundbreaking, results delivering, skin changing as everyone says it is. Packed with yerba mate, guayusathis, papaya, bamboo and more, this is a beast of an exfoliator. The burning sensation I experienced when I used it for the first time just further proves that. The results from this microdermabrasion treatment can be seen right after the first use. The first time I used it, I spread it around my face and let it sit for 2 minutes. I could feel a strong stinging sensation all over my face, but nothing to the point of pain. After washing it off, the burning sensation was gone and there was no redness or irritation left behind. Right away, my face looked more radiant and felt more smooth. The results got only better as the day went on, and peaked the next day. My skin looked a lot more even toned, smoother, brighter and overall better. I’ve used the mask two more times since that (with 2 days between each usage) and each time I was blown away by the results. I highly recommend anyone who’s looking to achieve smooth skin to try this mask. However, use caution, especially if you have sensitive skin, because this is a really strong treatment. . . . . gifted

▶️NEOGENLAB - Real Fresh Cleansing Stick Green Tea - winner of the 2017 Teen Vogue Acne Awards and deemed “one of the coolest creations to come out of Korea,” this travel friendly and all in one stick cleanser was formulated with 13 botanical oils to breakdown makeup, sunscreen, and cleanse your skin of all impurities. There are also natural green tea leaves imbedded in the cleansing stick to provide a gentle exfoliation to reveal brighter more even toned skin. I’ve tried stick cleansers in the past and while they were convenient for traveling, they always left a film on my skin and tight afterwards. I had the same reservations about this one but to my surprise, this left my skin feeling hydrated and fresh. I assume it’s because of the oils in the formula but I really enjoyed using this. It lathers nicely and cleanses my skin of everything. ▶️ NEOGENLAB - Real Rerment Micro Essence - one of my all time favorite essences. This hydrating and brightening essence is formulated with 93% naturally fermented ingredients as well as betaine, allantoin, sodium hyaluronate, adenosine, niacinamide, and various amino acids. I forgot how much I loved this essence. Used directly after cleansing, this watery first treatment essence quickly absorbs to restore hydration and prep my skin for the remainder of my routine without any stickiness. There’s also the plumping effect that this gives after 1-2 skins that I love so much. After consistent use, I can easily see my skin looking brighter and more even toned. This is probably one of the more hydrating FTE’s that I’ve tried. ▶️ NEOGENLAB - Real Ferment Micro Serum - the perfect companion for its essence counterpart. This viscous and creamy gel serum delivers a boost of nutrients and antioxidants to the skin with its elegant formula comprised of 61% fermented ingredients as well as niacinamide, adenosine, sodium hyaluronate, centella asiatica, hydrolyzed collagen, ascorbic acid, and vitamin e.This is very moisturizing and it leaves a bit of tacky and dewy finish once it’s absorbed. Upon application, you can see slightly plumper and brighter skin. It layers well with no pilling issues so regardless, you won’t even feel it once you’ve applied something else on top. Over time, I saw noticeably brighter skin that had that felt bouncier and firmer. ▶️NEOGENLAB - Neogen Dermalogy Canadian Clay Pore Cleanser - a 2 in 1 detoxifying mask and cleanser that eliminates excess sebum and blackheads while also cleansing the skin of makeup, dead skin cells, and clogged pores. This mask cleansers contains a ton of extracts, micro-particles of natural glacial marine soil, and colloidal clay from West Coast British Columbia, Canada. This has a creamy clay texture that easily spreads onto the skin. After a few minutes of application, the clay begins to foam on the skin to help draw impurities from the pores. Once the foaming has stopped, proceed to massage it into the skin and then rinse with water. I thought this was fun to use but using this everyday left my skin a bit dry. I preferred to use it every few days which was nice to help refresh my skin. ▶️NEOGENLAB - Neogen Dermalogy A-Clear Aid Soothing Spot Patch - these are your typical hydrocolloid acne patches that help absorb excess sebum and secretions from your breakouts while also protecting the area from dirt and bacteria. These come in two sizes which is great for different sized pimples. I always enjoy having acne patches on hand because they help prevent me from picking at my pimples. After I intentionally or accidentally pop my spots, these are great for reducing the size of them overnight.

GET UNREADY WITH ME 😋
Taking your makeup off after a long day and treating your skin with good ingredients is so important! These are the products that I’ve been using in my evening routine lately. Please consider that I have combination dry sensitive skin with rosacea. I also get breakouts! Here’s my makeup-removing, restorative evening routine: First Cleanse: BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Antioxidant Cleansing Oil I am halfway through this cleansing oil and it is the best oil or balm cleanser I’ve ever used. It doesn’t sting my eyes and I don’t have to go in a second time to remove waterproof eye makeup. Second Cleanse: iNNBEAUTY PROJECT - Foam Around Clarifying Daily Cleanser I am usually not a fan of foam cleansers but this one is amazing. It doesn’t strip my skin whatsoever which is crazy for a foam cleanser! It also helps fight breakouts. I haven’t experienced any dryness or irritation from this. Toner: INDIE LEE - CoQ-10 Toner I have loved this toner for a long time, it’s full of antioxidants and hydrating ingredients. However I don’t support Indie Lee anymore due to past racist actions with no statement or action to be better. Serum: PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Booster I mix this into the toner. I have used this and have loved it, but similar to Indie Lee, I cannot make any future purchases with Paula’s Choice due to past racist actions and their new performative actions that aren’t creating real change within their corporate structure. Treatment: SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Acne Treatment Face Oil I’ve been using this dry oil formula for years to help fight breakouts in a non-drying way. I usually will use 2-3 drops under an overnight mask. I’m applying this as a preventative measure since I wore a full face of makeup today, which can cause clogged pores. The salicylic acid in this formula helps un-clog those pores! Moisturizer/Mask: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask this mask is SUCH a great moisturizer for me. It contains vitamin c and is one of the few formulas with vitamin c that doesn’t irritate my rosacea! It’s super hydrating as well and plays nicely with the other products in my routine. Pimple Patches: COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch these are my favorite drugstore pimple patches! They’re $3 for a pack of 24. I will use these overnight on whiteheads that may have appeared throughout the day and they are noticeably smaller come morning. Brow Conditioner: Briogeo - B. Well Organic + Cold-Pressed 100% Castor Oil I have been using this castor oil formula on my brows for a while for conditioning and growth. My complaint with this is the price. Lip Mask: Sweet CHEF - Sugarcane + Vitamin E Lip Sleeping Mask This formula is not goopy. It was sent to me as a gift. I love it! #CheriePartner
