🥰My Obsession with Wigs🥰
I have a slight obsession with wigs....I’m lying! It’s not slight 😂. I wear wigs more as a protective style for my 4B/4C hair. There are many other protective styles but this one best suits me. It gives me a chance to be uniquely me! I can get different colors, styles and lengths without damaging my own hair. Protecting my own hair which is so precious and breaks easily is my top priority when picking and choosing a wig. I also have to make sure that my hair is washed, treated and placed in a protective style such as cornrows or twists before a wig is applied. I like lace fronts mostly. I just want to make sure people understand that just because I wear wigs it does not mean I hate my hair. It does not mean I hate myself. It is to protect my hair while it grows underneath. When it comes to my hair type, the less you touch and manipulate the hair, the faster it will grow and the healthier it will be. Do you like wigs? What protective style do you do? kimthomI love it’s too. I just started buying them but they so fun. If I want to have straight blonde for a while I can without having any damage and then next week I can have my coils back. Only problem is I can’t corn row my hair 😔 so I’m struggling to find good ways to lay my hair flat

In this age of social media, where wellness is omnipresent, I think it’s easy to fall in the trap of whether you are practicing “wellness” because you truly enjoying it or are forced to do it. To me, “selfcare” means that you should be ENJOYING yourself while doing it. Don’t drink that green juice if it tastes awful – that’s not selfcare to me. But at the same time, I’m not going to indulge in chicken wings every night either. It’s about finding the right balance and listening to your body and skin while doing so. This selfcare discussion is something I want to continue having with all of you – what does it mean to you? — These are so trivial but things that I do for some selfcare: spray some Fresh vitamin nectar mist, pop a collagen pill, pick out earrings, apply Ohiibeauty citrus handcream, spritz some Diptyque on my bed, do a mini facial massage using the Peter Thomas Roth oil…
