Shea’s Get Unready With Me Routine 👋💋

Ok, so, as a Drag Queen, it is apparent that I wear A LOT of makeup, so as complicated at the getting ready process is, I need to dedicate a lot to successfully removing it. First... If you are wearing any glitter of ANY kind, it will be extremely important that it is removed FIRST. The best trick for removing glitter it to take a piece of duct tape, apply it to the areas that have glitter and then peel it off. I have found that using tape to remove glitter first is extremely important. Because once you start scrubbing your face, all it does is move the glitter around more. Once the glitter removal is complete, the next step is makeup removal. I enjoy ONE/SIZE - Go Off Makeup Dissolving Mist
It’s a continuous mist thats infused with jojoba and rosehip oil. I spray it all over my face and neck, and massage the product in to break up all of the makeup. Normally I look either like a Jackson Pollock painting, or greased chimney sweep. After I have used the cream cleanser I go in with a ONE/SIZE - Go Off Juiciest Makeup Remover Wipes
and wipe away the excess cream cleanser and makeup. I make sure to pay special attention to my eyelids, and lashes because the product tends to hide there. Next, I use SUNDAY RILEY - Ceramic Slip Cleanser
for a nice gentle cleansing to remove any of the excess jojoba oil left behind by the Go Off mist. Toning is crucial. My favorite toner is SUNDAY RILEY - Martian Mattifying Melting Water-Gel Toner
I love it because its a bit thicker than most toners since it is a gel, but it absorbs so well into the skin, and still leaves your pored open enough to handle more product. After toning, I like to use the SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil
to help my skin repair and fight of congestion after all the damage I have put it through. The oregano is great for that. Lastly, I use The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG
under-eye serum to melt away any darkness and lock in brightening goodness.

FIRST POST/ONE WEEK RESULTS ✨
Hi there! I’m so excited to share my skincare journey with all of you and hopefully we can learn from each other’s experiences. I’ve already learned a lot from Cherie and that’s why I decided to purchase some products from The Ordinary and give them a try to save my skin. I have oily skin and as you can see I’m struggling with acne, dark spots, and dark circles. Not sure what type of acne I have, but it seems hormonal to me. I started to break out like this about two months ago. Before that, I’d break out once in a while during my period or when eating too much junk food. A week ago (Oct. 10th), I started the following skincare routine: AM - Cleanse Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser - Treat The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG (I think I had a reaction to caffeine solution - my right eye started itching so I discontinued it from now) - Moisturize CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 PM - Remove makeup CeraVe - Makeup Removing Cleanser Cloths - Cleanse Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser - Treat The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% - Moisturize CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin Please swipe to see the results so far! I’m really happy with The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% since it’s clearing out the acne. My face feels and looks better and I think there’s a small improvement. I’d love to hear your advice and suggestions! Also, I’d like to implement The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solutionand The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solutionto my skincare routine. Any suggestions on how/when to use them? Thank you in advance!

Bumpy texture and acne
Hello! I’ve recently tried to stick to a more consistent skin care routine, although I did get help selecting the products based on the skincare goals I had I have yet to achieve the goals I had in mind. As of right now I’m using : THAYERS - Unscented Facial Toner Followed by The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 And my moisturizer is normally : CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ And a pump of CeraVe - Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum Occasionally I will use the following ( on alternate nights) : The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream I’m starting to believe that the little bumps on my cheeks won’t go away because they may be fungal acne, but can’t tell. I need help in finding out what this is and how I can clear up my skin! 😩😩😩 Overall I just need help! Thank you ! xxx

SR's Ceramic Slip Cleanser
💕 Hi beautiful people! So, let me start by saying that I have the driest acne prone skin and I'm always happy to find a product that can enhance my skin in an easy step. Like cleansing, you're already doing that! So I'm just gong to give you my honest opinion about this cleanser. First of all, it's not cheap. It's $35 for the full size which to me, is a lot for a cleanser. It's supposed to be good for all skin types including dry. It's supposed to pull out impurities and pull in moisture. Sounds great right? Well here is the ingredient list: Water, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Octyldoecanol, Polyacrylate-33, Propanediol, Polygyceryl-2 Caprate, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Montmorillonoite, Kaolin, Olive Oil Polyglyceryl-6 esters, Rice Oil Glycereth-8 esters, Phospholipids, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Bisabolol, Pentylene Glycol, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Phytate, Caprylyl Glycol, Dehydeoacetic Acid, Benzoic Acid, Propylene Carbonate, Linalool, Farnesol This is a non comedogenic cleanser, and it has some really nice ingredients in there. It had an interesting smell. Kinda musty but not intolerable. But to be honest.. It made my skin feel SO DRY. That was a deal breaker. It's not normal for my skin to feel immediately right after washing it. I think this was due to the kaolin, absorbing any oil on my skin. It just dried my skin too much. And I had to put back so much moisture into it like immediately or my skin would be dry af all day. This would be fantastic for Oily skin though. Thanks for reading!! Lauren 💕

Hormonal/Cystic Acne approved - They WORK
If you know me, you know The Ordinary is my first favorite brand and Sunday Riley is always competing hard with it to be on my Faves list. I am obsessed with these picks from them. I have my reasons to love this brand these products. Being Acne prone and dealing with a lot of skin texture, dullness and hyperpigmentation I always am looking for products that 'work'! No BS simply work, and these products work for me. I have seen dramatic changes in my skin when I use these. I'm going to order these from the most effective and my favorites to the least! Sunday Riley was one brand which was hell expensive for me but on the other side they worked really well. I don't purchase them often as I purchase TO, but whenever I can I don't rethink. If you want products that work these are the ones: 1. A+ Retinoid SUNDAY RILEY - A+ High-Dose Retinol Serum - This is my most favorite and most picked one from Sunday Riley. Guys, take my word on it this stuff is amazing. I love retinol and I know my skin responds in a certain way when I apply Retinoids. So, if some retinoids don't show the expected results I know they're not the ones for me. This Retinoid made my skin so soft, supple and healthy while taking care of those stubborn Hormonal cystic acne. Also, it exfoliates amazingly and reduces the look of PIH. ✨Exfoliates well ✨Reduces look of fine lines and wrinkles ✨Reduces Hyperpigmentation (PIH, Melasma) ✨Brightens and tightens skin ✨Makes skin soft and reduces irregular texture 2. Tidal SUNDAY RILEY - Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream - This is second most loved product from SR. It's because it has Alpha Arbutin in it. Alpha Arbutin is an amazing brightening Anti-Oxidant that slows down the melanin production leading to reducing hyperpigmentation. This cream is actually a lightweight gel that gets absorbed in skin quickly and I have experienced a brighter, healthier skin with it. ✨Brightens complexion ✨Reduces Hyperpigmentation, slows down melanin production ✨Gel like texture doesn't sit heavy on skin ✨You can mix L-ascorbic powder or any vitamin C serum with it to boost it's brightening effect. 3. Vitamin C SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream - I love this cream in winters because of it's thick but hydrating texture. Love this cream as it's an amazing moisturizer for daytime regimen. ✨ Relatively thick and creamy ✨Hydrates skin ✨Reduces hyperpigmentation ✨Tightens skin and makes it plump ✨Lasts long because you only need a pea size with it 4. Lactic acid SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment - This is an amazing product for someone who is new to AHAs and chemical exfoliation. It exfoliates skin in a very gentle way and doesn't irritate skin. I like the creamy, lightweight formula that is equally effective as serum or toners. ✨Mildly exfoliates ✨Doesn't irritate skin ✨Creamy formula that doesn't feel heavy ✨Makes skin softer and reduces texture in just one use ( Mainly because of Lactic acid/ AHA) 5. Martian SUNDAY RILEY - Martian Mattifying Melting Water-Gel Toner - This toner has an interesting formula, it comes out as foamy gel into watery toner when it touches skin! It's amazing. It's a great product for acne prone skin and people with active acne. It has Bentonite clay, green tea, witch hazel, and marshmallow extract helps chill out redness, reduce excess oil, and tighten pores. ✨ Matte, shine-free finish ✨Slightly cooling and soothing when applied ✨Reduces the redness and inflammation ✨Reduces skin irritation ✨Use this after Thermal water and you'll find it more soothing ✨Witch hazel in this formula doesn't work as astringent and doesn't strip skin.

Help sort out my routine for late 30s skin
Hi all! Welcome to skin in your late 30s. I am 37 and am at that wonderful crossroads between younger and older skin, meaning that I still get monthly hormonal jawline acne, have an oily t-zone... yet also the beginnings of wrinkles, plus large pores and dark spots from acne scars and sun damage. I have a number of products that I have been using but it’s been a little random as to when I use them. I also just got some direct acids and I’m looking for direction on when to use them in my routine. Here’s what I have: Cleansers innisfree - Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam DERMA•E - Anti-Wrinkle Cleanser Kiehl's - Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil AM toner SUNDAY RILEY - Martian Mattifying Melting Water-Gel Toner PM toner The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution Eye cream BURT’S BEES - Renewal Smoothing Eye Cream Looking for recs! Serums / Treatments / Acids The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA THE inkey LIST - Q10 Antioxidant Serum SUNDAY RILEY - Luna Retinol Sleeping Night Oil Masks and peels The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Several mud based masks- Mudmasky, Generation Clay Moisturizers Embryolisse - Lait-Crème Concentré Limited Edition London THE inkey LIST - Multi-Biotic The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil PAULA'S CHOICE - Clear Oil-Free Moisturizer philosophy - Purity Made Simple Oil Free Mattifying Moisturizer And since I know pores are an issue for me I also have other Inkey products I haven’t tried yet in the THE inkey LIST - The Pore Wonders Set I really like a lot of these products but I don’t feel I am putting them on in the right order. I also think I may be missing something to really help with my dark spots? Any advice? Thanks!!

SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O (FIRST IMPRESSION)
Okay so - I got the SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil in my Mecca Level 3 Beauty Loop Box to try and after using it up I am pretty impressed ☺️ This is a dry facial oil with 1.5% salicylic acid that is meant to be gently exfoliating, clear congested pores and help blemish prone skin - preventing breakouts and blackheads, leaving your skin brighter and smoother. It is also meant to reduce post-acne redness. The key active ingredients are: 🌸 1.5% Salicylic Acid - good for acne 🌸 Tea tree - hyperpigmentation, dullness 🌸 Black Cumin Seed Oil - improves radiance 🌸 Liquorice - Targets inflammation So here’s the deal. My skin is normal - dry. I used to have bad acne as a teenager but my skin is luckily, pretty clear now. I rarely get pimples. However, my skin has been kicking up a bit of fuss lately. With the stress of covid, uni, work... eating more junk food... less sun... more masks (you get the picture), not only have pimples been popping up more frequently, but they haven’t been healing and disappearing as quickly as usual. It’s been a real struggle for me. Other things about my skin, it’s pretty dull, gets dry easily, quite sensitive. Lets go over what this oil did for me. The reason I’m giving it 5 stars is for a few reasons I’ll go over now. Keep in mind, once I buy a full size and use it continuously for a longer period of time, I will post an update. ✨ Firstly, I noticed a difference overnight. This is a rare occurrence for me. Not only did my old blemishes look more faded and less inflamed the morning after using this oil, but a blemish I had forming was completely nipped in the bud overnight and was almost gone before it even arrived when I woke up. This was a pretty massive plus for me. As I said, any blemishes I get at the moment have been super stubborn and red so this was a nice surprise. ✨ I have dry skin. Even though this is a face oil, it’s supposed to help oily, blemish prone skin so I was scared it would dry me out. My skin felt beautiful after using it a few times, especially with my CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream and the DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Moisturizer with Cream layered on top overnight. Definitely did not dry me out. ✨ Kind to sensitive skin. ✨ I noticed redness diminished a bit. Might have to continue using it to see redness go down more. I especially noticed redness reduced where I had blemishes. ✨ My skin looked glowy and less ghostly 👻 ✨ Overall made my skin feel and look clearer and smoother with every use. ✨ Smells good ✨Because it’s a dry oil it absorbed really nicely and really quickly into my skin and layered well with other products. KEEP IN MIND: ✨ Fragrance - There is a bit of fragrance in this product. While this isn’t the end of the world, it’s definitely something to keep in mind. ✨ Over use of the product can apparently lessen the effects over time. I’ll definitely buy a full size to try

Nighttime Routine!
Nighttime Routine!
Here’s my current nighttime routine! I’m currently in the process of bringing some new products into my skincare routine and it seems like I’m liking everything but I want to give my honest opinion on what I’m currently using! cocokind - Facial cleansing oil This was kindly gifted to me from cocokind and I’ve tried it a handful of times! It definitely works well to remove my makeup and I really like it. However the smell is a little bit overpowering, and sometimes the pump gets a bit stuck. Other than that it’s a great oil based cleanser! YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser I absolutely love this cleanser!! I switch between this one and the simple foaming cleanser. This cleanser is perfect because it’s not stripping, but my face still feels super clean afterwards. I love the texture and the scent of this cleanser and hopefully I’ll purchase the full size when I run out! Does anyone know of any dupes for this, it’s quite expensive lol. cocokind - Glow Essence This was also gifted to me by cocokind and I really like this product! It’s a light mist that makes my skin glow instantly, and gets rid of any tightness that may come after washing my face! It’s a great product and I love that it’s all natural! The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA This is the end of my third bottle of this acid! Quite literally a lifesaver!! In August of last year I reached out to The Ordinary and asked them for product recommendations for dullness, some light scarring, and super light acne! This serum is amazing for brightening up scars and giving more glowiness to my skin in general! When first bringing it into my routine my skin purged a little bit but it cleared up within 2 weeks and was definitely worth it! The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil This is my 3rd bottle of this oil, and I really like it but it can be just a tad too heavy on my skin even though I only use it at night. I still think that it’s a great product and will continue to use it! The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA I’ve tried this moisturizer a lot honestly, but I’m never impressed by it. The consistency isn’t creamy enough for my liking and I don’t feel like it really locks in my products at the end of my routine. I’m hoping to find another moisturizer that feels less tight afterwards and really leaves my skin soft and supple! cocokind - Full brow balm This was gifted to me by cocokind, and I’m honestly obsessed!! This brow balm smells like fresh coconut, and holds my brows in place for pre-makeup application, and at night it helps stimulate growth. I’ve only been using it for a week, so I haven’t noticed any growth in my brows but I’m obsessed!! I really love this product. I hope you all recommend me some products and I’ll do the same!

Obsessing over some goodies th
Obsessing over some goodies that I received during #ipsylive. I was excited to see many #skincare brands this year. I think beauty is leading in the right direction with the focus on #skinisin. A lot more people are coming through to showcase their love of skincare, including men! Skincare is not gender specific thing, or even an age specific thing to get into, which I love. I think for a long time, people thought skincare was for a certain person or #skintype (at least I did). This year, I was excited to see more skincare brands & ones that have a mission to be #cleanbeauty. It’s amazing to know the steps many companies are taking to be #nontoxic/cause less harm to our skin. 〰️ With @youthtothepeople I was very much so excited to run into their booth. I’ve been wanting their cleanser & toner forever! I was able to purchase their #cleanser & #facemist that weekend. Received a ton of stickers! I wanted a t-shirt, but it wasn’t in my budget. I LOVEEEE their serum & moisturizer so much! My skin was soft & plump for 2 days! 〰️ @sweetchefskincare was a cute booth I interacted with. Their products are much more plant-based. Using everyday produce such as kale, ginger, & beets to incorporate into their products was different for me. Their products can be found at @target! This moisturizer felt lightweight, but it left my skin feeling nourished. 〰️ @highskincare has products made with #cannabissativa seed oil. It’s not CBD & it’s not THC. This oil felt amazing on the skin. I didn’t look greasy, my skin instantly absorbed it. Leaving behind a beautiful #glowfromwithin like look. Their moisturizer, cleanser, & peeling mask are on my list! 〰️ @urbanjuve is a #hempoil produced company. Much of their products are made with essential oils, & natural products to give your skin the proper nutrients it needs. This was by far my favorite booth that weekend. The ladies at this booth were kind, knowledgeable on the products, & had overall genuine energy. I now see why they were sold out of products! Their #antiaging serum is AMAZINGGGG! It smells sooo good. They have kits for each skin type. They were also RECENTLY featured in @vanityfair’s UK magazine!YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Limited Edition Pride Superfood Antioxidant CleanserYOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Tonerhigh - High Expectations Cannabis Seed Facial Oil

Target’s Vegan Line Versed
Target’s Vegan Line Versed
As a young adult who finished the peak and still endured acne, I live with a lot of PIH, especially on my cheeks. I have tried for years to find a product that would brighten and even out the dark discoloration but failed every time no matter how long I stuck it out with a product. Strolling through Target months and months ago, I saw a shiny end cap full of pastel colored vegan skincare products. I eventually caved, hoping that there could be a solution for me here. The first product I ever decided to use was VERSED - WEEKEND GLOW - Instant. Game. Changer. Right away I noticed a difference in the appearance of my skin. I used it AM/PM, and quarantine really got me sticking to my routine. After just a week, the dark spots on my cheeks were FINALLY starting to fade, and the texture of my skin was becoming so smooth after previously suffering from tiny little bumps of acne all over my forehead and cheeks as well. After about a month and a half I was confident in this product line and decided to purchase more. VERSED - WASH IT OUT Gel Cleanser VERSED - PRESS RESTART The gel cleanser is so gentle and easy to use. Usually being on the dry side, this product doesn’t leave me feeling stripped and does a pretty damn good job at getting off my makeup. The light minty scent is just an invigorating bonus! I really wanted to LOVE the retinol serum, which is super easy to apply. Hydrating, NO red burning and flaking skin which I’ve previously gone through, but definitely yields similar results when it comes to purging acne and resurfacing skin. Ultimately, this product was not for me, but it is definitely a contender for other people’s skin concerns. I look forward to trying more products from Versed as their line grows. If you’ve been considering a purchase but haven’t plunged in, I absolutely recommend it.

The brightening cleanser is am
The brightening cleanser is amazing & smells like a field of wild strawberries. I love how my skin looks & feels after using this cleanser. The Lotion COQ-10 Toner is such a lovely product. It performs beautifully, without being overbearing. It's light, fresh, and super effective at removing any leftover dirt & impurities. My favorite is the Stem Cell serum. This product has worked wonders for my skin. I don't know if you can tell it from the photo or not, but I'm running quite low on this one, because I don't go to bed at night without applying it. It is the lightest, yet potent, most effective serum I think I've ever used, and it has helped diminish what little bit of wrinkles I had around my forehead & smile line area. The Daily Vitamin Infusion is seriously a dream of an oil, in terms of skin loving ingredients. The name says it all. It's not nearly as heavy as other facial oils, and makes for a beautiful foundation application when adding a few drops onto your beauty blender. I'm personally more for oils in the colder months, but I do use this prior to makeup, or when my skins excessively dry & in need of some extra love. Lastly the Daily Skin Nutrition. This moisturizer glides across the skin like melted butter. My skin loves it. It absorbs beautifully & leaves skin feeling silky soft. Sadly to say though, picky me doesn't really care for the scent of this one. It's just a personal thing & has nothing to do with the performance of the product. The product is great. If you've made it to the bottom of this caption, go you! 👏😂 Overall Indie Lee products are, for the most part, all absolutely amazing. The love she puts into her products, the story behind the brand, I love and am totally here for it.
