This or That? Come and make a choice between them!
The most economical way is to apply foundation with our fingers. But that always gets your hands dirty with product, and creates a uneven look on your face too. So it’s better use a right tool.
Then do you use a makeup brush or beauty blender? It seems to be a serious problem.
Personally, I prefer to use beauty blender, since brush has higher requirements for professional technique, which is not friendly to me.
What are the pros and cons of beauty blender and brush respectively? I’d like to share my experience.
Beauty blender provides a light, natural and even coverage of foundation, and that’s exactly what I am looking for. It can achieve a dewy look to your skin, blend out foundation effortlessly. If you are on the hunt for cheap tools, makeup sponges are good choice.
In terms of shortcomings, beauty blender absorbs foundation a lot and it doesn't last. But on the other hand, that is why you get a lighter coverage. In addition, you have to wet your sponge because a damp beauty blender helps to create a more even, dewy finish than dry.
For brush, it provides a fast application every time and high coverage that lasts all day long. And if you wash it often and keep in good condition, a makeup brush can last for years. Unlike sponges, you have to replace them every 3 to 4 months, even if you clean them often, which are a perfect breeding ground for bacteria to grow.
However, a makeup brush needs professional painting, or it will easily leave a streaky finish. It’s also hard to find a cheap good quality makeup brush as it’s more expensive than sponges. If you get a brush that isn't up to standard, you will get disaster application or even unwanted brush hairs on your face.
Just take some time to decide on the right applicator for you.
Sponge vs. Brush: Which is better?🤔
With the arrival of summer, many girls have many troubles on makeup. My more trouble is: Is it better to use sponge or brush with foundation.
Some foundation fluid is relatively light, easy to be absorbed by sponge. The beauty egg I use is a Mac. The price of 10 beauty eggs is around $5. They have good water absorption and excellent softness, and their shapes vary from round to sector.
Simple steps: First, wet the makeup egg, squeeze the foundation liquid onto the egg, and evenly spread it on the face. Remember to apply sunscreen to your face before applying foundation. Because the concealer of sponge is not very strong, you can see from pic1.
I also use MAC - 170 Synthetic Rounded Slant Brush. The Mac brush cost about $8.99. Recommended by the sales, the foundation brush is divided into two models of different sizes. What I choose is a small foundation brush. Foundation brush for foundation requirements are not so high. In my usual makeup, the frequency of using foundation brush is relatively high. First of all, the foundation brushes are easier to clean and the wool texture makes me more comfortable. Next, it can make our powdery bottom fluid is on the face more obedient position
To sum up, sponges may be better suited for light foundation like sunscreen or BB cream, and foundation brushes may be better suited for heavier foundation. Beauty eggs don't last very long, while foundation brushes last a long time.

The best tool for applying foundation, sponge of brush?
Foundation is an essential step for most people who wear makeup every day, at least it is for me. Nowadays with so many ways to apply foundation, sponges and foundation brushes must be the most common tool for applying foundation. While among various foundation tools, finding the best option will definitely improve your makeup technique and completely change the foundation finish. Different tools bring about different results. The tool you use can help you manipulate the foundation to get the type of coverage you want. So which tool is your favorite one or the most often used? Sponge of brush, which one do you prefer?
I haveREAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Complexion Sponge and MAC - 170 Synthetic Rounded Slant Brush. These two tools are my most frequently used foundation tools. Between them, the Real Technique sponge is my favorite. I’ve used this sponge for applying foundation since I started to makeup. Whether I use liquid or cream foundation, these two tools perfectly serve me.
The reason I prefer the sponge than the brush is because it is easier and quicker for application. I can apply foundation with whether wet or dry sponge. Semi-wet sponge is better for melting foundation into my skin. This sponge is egg-shaped with a point tip at the bottom and angular, planar portion at the top. With repeated dabbing, it can diffuse the coverage and quickly blend out my whole face foundation application. It also designed for getting the inner corners of my eyes for the concealer and buffing out the contour. Its price is awesome! It is affordable for most people.
This MAC 170 foundation brush is also a good tool. It gives your skin an immaculate look. You may worry that brush will leave any marks on makeup look, but this one will not. This brush is so soft and easily blends the foundation. Brush can create a better coverage than sponge. But this brush is much more expensive than the sponge, and it requires more applying technique. Thus, I still prefer the sponge from Real Techniques.

Sponges VS Brush, and my choice is...
Sponges and Brush are both effective tools to help apply foundation, which one is better? This is a question that everyone wonders. At the same time, it is also a question that everyone has their own opinions.
beautyblender - beautyblender Original Makeup Sponge Applicator
$20
Beautyblender is a very famous brand and has always been the number one in selling beauty sponges. This egg-shaped blender makes it handy for applying foundation and concealer. Its texture is very soft, and it can be pinched to one-fifth the volume by hand. When used, this texture can provide an even, smooth blend and bounce. The water absorption capacity of the sponge is also amazing. After being wet, its volume can increase to about twice. The large and round surface area ensures quick application, while the wavy nib ensures precision. There could be no dead corners on the face after this pat.
MAC - 170 Synthetic Rounded Slant Brush
$35
The price of this brush will be higher than sponge. It can apply, buff out and blend thick creams and liquids. MAC brand's foundation is very worth buying, and this brush also has many advantages. First of all, its bristles are very soft and do not sting the skin. The brush is hand-carved and assembled using the best quality materials, and the shape is round and slightly domed, slanted. I think it is more suitable for skilled people to apply makeup quickly, just dip in the foundation and apply it evenly.
In contrast, I think sponges and brushes are my favorites. Because both of them have advantages and disadvantages, they have corresponding uses at different times. Sponges are more suitable for novices, the makeup will be lighter, but sometimes they consume more foundation. The brushs have a faster speed, which can save time. But if you are a novice, you may leave marks on your face.

Big difference! Try this way to make foundation…
Beauty tools are important products that are easy to overlook by customers. Take foundation liquid for example, using your hand, brush or cosmetic egg, they will create a different finish. More specifically, the temperature of your hands, the texture of your brush, and the density of your sponge eggs will all affect your final look. These are my personal use experience!
I use liquid foundation all the time, so a brush or cosmetic egg is a must. Everyone has a makeup progress process. In fact, I started with the hands to apply the foundation. The biggest disadvantage of using hands is that it is especially easy to be cakey. It can only up to two hours wear. Then the foundation will separate and the pores will be visible. After realizing these mistakes, I started trying makeup brushes! The best foundation brush ever used is the Chanel rabbit hair brush. The brush has a gradient color of white and black, and the texture of the brush is very soft and thin. But five or six years ago, the price has reached to $60 for one! It's really expensive! Besides the high price, it is very useful. The brush can create all hours foundation finish. Every corner of the face will be covered and make up look is also more delicate.
However, considering that $60 is so high. After buying two brushes, I gave up buying again. I selected a MAC brush at that time, but the effect was not as good as Chanel's! For now, I have been using Fenty Beauty's Sponge egg on the recommendation of my friends for more than one years! It is necessary to praise this product, which is much cheaper than the Chanel brush. The top and bottom of this sponge egg has two shapes. The top part is sharp and I put on foundation. The tail is in the shape of an egg, which I prepare for face primer. Wetting the sponge egg before use can create a better look.
If you want to compare these three methods of use, from the perspective of makeup effect, the brush should be bigger than the egg, and hand is in the lastly. From the perspective of cost performance, makeup egg is bigger than brush than hand. Anyway, hands are really the worst way! Don't ruin your finish by being lazy!
