Brush, sponge and puff, my choice is...

In this comparison I'm gonna put three products to the test and it’s going to be the brush,  the puff and the brand new sponge, and we are gonna single out what is the best way to  apply foundation. Which tool should you apply to your foundation? There is so much going  on right now, and all these brands are coming up with new things so I'm going to just grasp  my daily uses: BOBBI BROWN - Full Coverage Face Brush
(AUD75), REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Body Complexion Sponge
(AUD 6) and a  Giorgio Armani puff (AUD21).   The foundation I will use is from ESTEE LAUDER’s Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Makeup  range of 12 shades in which I select the 1N2 Ecru suiting my skin tone best (AUD60).  This one is a 24-hour long wear foundation and is supposed to be hydrating. Melbourne is  in late winter right now so it's definitely suitable for this test at the moment.    The Bobbi brown brush (AUD75)    As you can see, on its stick, this one is a full coverage  face brush and is a dense one for the face with cream  products. It’s very light, weighing only 24g on a kitchen  scale, even though its gripping part looks like being  made of wood. The head of it feels soft, velvety but  still like a roly-poly toy, whose ”root” is very rooted in  its stick when you are scrabbling on your face.  In a normal makeup routine in winter, after a procedure of putting skin care products on  my face, I start with the VITAMIN ENRICHED FACE BASE which contains shea butter, vitamin  C & E (AUD 88), functioning as the extra moisturizing balm.  Once applying the foundation, it helps reduce the appearance of any pores. The right part  of the picture shows you how the brush worked.   The Real Techniques sponge and the Giorgio Armani puff   This sponge is super light, soft and elastic. It shapes like an egg so people call it a beauty  egg lol. You can use the tip of the egg to stipple on all areas of your face even though the  joint between nose and face. (it’s a tricky place, isn’t it?). However, sometimes the sponge is  the baddest stealer for your foundation among these three applicators.  By using these two(puff and sponge), in my mind, they are nearly the same for me.  However, this time I use a liquid foundation, if the foundation is dry, a sponge which can be  also watery before application will still make your coverage sheer and long-lasting.  Who wins ? !     These tools are all portable and you can just nip anyone in your handbag, but with a very  small purse if you wanna carry one applicator out, a sponge or a puff would be your better  choice. They can be squeezed into any kind of shape even jam-packed to the pocket of  your jeans lol. However, there are no delicate girls who do not bring a handbag, right? A  5.6’’L brush? No Problem!    What’s more, comparing to a puff or a sponge, It is not only blendable but also seamlessly  gives you an ultra HD face . Thousands of “hairs” of the brush head seem to respectively  carry each foundation molecule into your pore, so as to build up a flawless coverage.  Therefore, I love to use it if ever I’m going out with someone “serious” who I can’t fool with,  or to show up at an important dinner table, or I’m doing a photo shoot because it’s really  photo-friendly.

Body Contouring! 🔥👙
Summer body goals got me thinking: Can I fake abs? 🧐🧐 Yes! With a little makeup in the right places, we can definitely define our abdominal muscles to give ourself a more contoured look. Just like how we contour our face to contour our body, to create the illusion of a well-toned abdomen. PREPARATION: All you need is a contouring palette (bronzer and highlighter), some brushes and a setting spray to make sure that your hard work stays in place.  HOW TO CONTOUR YOUR ABS: Contouring your abs probably isn’t something you’re likely to do every day, but if you want to show off your stomach in a crop top, contouring can help you temporarily create more defined-looking abs. STEP 1: Start by drawing a line down the center of your stomach, from the top of where your imaginary abs would be down to your belly button. STEP 2: From there, add muscles on either side, creating a two-, four-, or six-pack. STEP 3: Harsh lines are a major no-no when it comes to contouring. Here makeup sponge can come in handy. STEP 4: No contouring look is complete without highlighter. Place a liquid highlight on the highpoints of the areas you just contoured, then blend out. STEP 5: Now you can enjoy showing off your newly contoured body in your summer wardrobe!  What I use: FENTY BEAUTY - Match Stix Glow Skinstick FENTY BEAUTY - Body Lava Body Luminizer REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Body Complexion Sponge Sorry, I'm a big fan of Rihanna lol Still waiting for R9!!! Tips🔅 ● Look at yourself in the mirror as you are blending the colors in so you can make it look as natural as possible. ● When purchasing mineral powder, shimmering powder and tan pigment, match them with your skin tone and choose darker shades. ● If you apply too much and it does not look good, simply wash your stomach area and start again. ● You can help your work last longer by sealing it with hairspray, setting powder, or a makeup sealant spray. ● Use waterproof powders so that they will not easily wash or sweat off. ● Stand up straight and don't slouch. Slouching forward can make you look as though you have a tummy, which will detract from the contouring effect you are trying to establish. warnings⚠️ ● Do not use too much makeup, as you risk creating lines that are too dark or too light, which in turn will look fake. ● If you are using foundation, tinted moisturizer, or tinted sunscreen as your base, be sure to match your skin tone. Anything that is too dark, too light, or too orange will look fake. ● Do not put on the makeup while wearing your swimsuit. If you get the makeup on your swimsuit, you may not only stain your swimsuit, but you might risk giving your secret away. ● Going swimming with your fake abs will result in all your hard work washing away. ● A hot, sunny day may cause your makeup to melt off. Come on!! the beaches and swimming pools are calling out to you, enjoy the warm sun and sport your new swimsuit NOW!

This or That? Come and make a choice between them!
This or That? Come and make a choice between them!
The most economical way is to apply foundation with our fingers. But that always gets your hands dirty with product, and creates a uneven look on your face too. So it’s better use a right tool.   Then do you use a makeup brush or beauty blender? It seems to be a serious problem.   Personally, I prefer to use beauty blender, since brush has higher requirements for professional technique, which is not friendly to me.   What are the pros and cons of beauty blender and brush respectively? I’d like to share my experience.   Beauty blender provides a light, natural and even coverage of foundation, and that’s exactly what I am looking for. It can achieve a dewy look to your skin, blend out foundation effortlessly. If you are on the hunt for cheap tools, makeup sponges are good choice.   In terms of shortcomings, beauty blender absorbs foundation a lot and it doesn't last. But on the other hand, that is why you get a lighter coverage. In addition, you have to wet your sponge because a damp beauty blender helps to create a more even, dewy finish than dry.   For brush, it provides a fast application every time and high coverage that lasts all day long. And if you wash it often and keep in good condition, a makeup brush can last for years. Unlike sponges, you have to replace them every 3 to 4 months, even if you clean them often, which are a perfect breeding ground for bacteria to grow.   However, a makeup brush needs professional painting, or it will easily leave a streaky finish. It’s also hard to find a cheap good quality makeup brush as it’s more expensive than sponges. If you get a brush that isn't up to standard, you will get disaster application or even unwanted brush hairs on your face.   Just take some time to decide on the right applicator for you.

Sponge vs. Brush: Which is better?🤔
Sponge vs. Brush: Which is better?🤔
With the arrival of summer, many girls have many troubles on makeup. My more trouble is: Is it better to use sponge or brush with foundation. Some foundation fluid is relatively light, easy to be absorbed by sponge. The beauty egg I use is a Mac. The price of 10 beauty eggs is around $5. They have good water absorption and excellent softness, and their shapes vary from round to sector. Simple steps: First, wet the makeup egg, squeeze the foundation liquid onto the egg, and evenly spread it on the face. Remember to apply sunscreen to your face before applying foundation. Because the concealer of sponge is not very strong, you can see from pic1.  I also use MAC - 170 Synthetic Rounded Slant Brush. The Mac brush cost about $8.99. Recommended by the sales, the foundation brush is divided into two models of different sizes. What I choose is a small foundation brush. Foundation brush for foundation requirements are not so high. In my usual makeup, the frequency of using foundation brush is relatively high. First of all, the foundation brushes are easier to clean and the wool texture makes me more comfortable. Next, it can make our powdery bottom fluid is on the face more obedient position To sum up, sponges may be better suited for light foundation like sunscreen or BB cream, and foundation brushes may be better suited for heavier foundation. Beauty eggs don't last very long, while foundation brushes last a long time.

The best tool for applying foundation, sponge of brush?
The best tool for applying foundation, sponge of brush?
Foundation is an essential step for most people who wear makeup every day, at least it is for me. Nowadays with so many ways to apply foundation, sponges and foundation brushes must be the most common tool for applying foundation. While among various foundation tools, finding the best option will definitely improve your makeup technique and completely change the foundation finish. Different tools bring about different results. The tool you use can help you manipulate the foundation to get the type of coverage you want. So which tool is your favorite one or the most often used? Sponge of brush, which one do you prefer? I haveREAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Complexion Sponge and MAC - 170 Synthetic Rounded Slant Brush. These two tools are my most frequently used foundation tools. Between them, the Real Technique sponge is my favorite. I’ve used this sponge for applying foundation since I started to makeup. Whether I use liquid or cream foundation, these two tools perfectly serve me. The reason I prefer the sponge than the brush is because it is easier and quicker for application. I can apply foundation with whether wet or dry sponge. Semi-wet sponge is better for melting foundation into my skin. This sponge is egg-shaped with a point tip at the bottom and angular, planar portion at the top. With repeated dabbing, it can diffuse the coverage and quickly blend out my whole face foundation application. It also designed for getting the inner corners of my eyes for the concealer and buffing out the contour. Its price is awesome! It is affordable for most people. This MAC 170 foundation brush is also a good tool. It gives your skin an immaculate look. You may worry that brush will leave any marks on makeup look, but this one will not. This brush is so soft and easily blends the foundation. Brush can create a better coverage than sponge. But this brush is much more expensive than the sponge, and it requires more applying technique. Thus, I still prefer the sponge from Real Techniques.

Sponges VS Brush, and my choice is...
Sponges VS Brush, and my choice is...
Sponges and Brush are both effective tools to help apply foundation, which one is better? This is a question that everyone wonders. At the same time, it is also a question that everyone has their own opinions.   beautyblender - beautyblender Original Makeup Sponge Applicator $20   Beautyblender is a very famous brand and has always been the number one in selling beauty sponges. This egg-shaped blender makes it handy for applying foundation and concealer. Its texture is very soft, and it can be pinched to one-fifth the volume by hand. When used, this texture can provide an even, smooth blend and bounce. The water absorption capacity of the sponge is also amazing. After being wet, its volume can increase to about twice. The large and round surface area ensures quick application, while the wavy nib ensures precision. There could be no dead corners on the face after this pat.   MAC - 170 Synthetic Rounded Slant Brush $35   The price of this brush will be higher than sponge. It can apply, buff out and blend thick creams and liquids. MAC brand's foundation is very worth buying, and this brush also has many advantages. First of all, its bristles are very soft and do not sting the skin. The brush is hand-carved and assembled using the best quality materials, and the shape is round and slightly domed, slanted. I think it is more suitable for skilled people to apply makeup quickly, just dip in the foundation and apply it evenly.   In contrast, I think sponges and brushes are my favorites. Because both of them have advantages and disadvantages, they have corresponding uses at different times. Sponges are more suitable for novices, the makeup will be lighter, but sometimes they consume more foundation. The brushs have a faster speed, which can save time. But if you are a novice, you may leave marks on your face.

Big difference! Try this way to make foundation…
Big difference! Try this way to make foundation…
Beauty tools are important products that are easy to overlook by customers. Take foundation liquid for example, using your hand, brush or cosmetic egg, they will create a different finish. More specifically, the temperature of your hands, the texture of your brush, and the density of your sponge eggs will all affect your final look. These are my personal use experience! I use liquid foundation all the time, so a brush or cosmetic egg is a must. Everyone has a makeup progress process. In fact, I started with the hands to apply the foundation. The biggest disadvantage of using hands is that it is especially easy to be cakey. It can only up to two hours wear. Then the foundation will separate and the pores will be visible. After realizing these mistakes, I started trying makeup brushes! The best foundation brush ever used is the Chanel rabbit hair brush. The brush has a gradient color of white and black, and the texture of the brush is very soft and thin. But five or six years ago, the price has reached to $60 for one! It's really expensive! Besides the high price, it is very useful. The brush can create all hours foundation finish. Every corner of the face will be covered and make up look is also more delicate. However, considering that $60 is so high. After buying two brushes, I gave up buying again. I selected a MAC brush at that time, but the effect was not as good as Chanel's! For now, I have been using Fenty Beauty's Sponge egg on the recommendation of my friends for more than one years! It is necessary to praise this product, which is much cheaper than the Chanel brush. The top and bottom of this sponge egg has two shapes. The top part is sharp and I put on foundation. The tail is in the shape of an egg, which I prepare for face primer. Wetting the sponge egg before use can create a better look. If you want to compare these three methods of use, from the perspective of makeup effect, the brush should be bigger than the egg, and hand is in the lastly. From the perspective of cost performance, makeup egg is bigger than brush than hand. Anyway, hands are really the worst way! Don't ruin your finish by being lazy! Clean your beauty blender in 1 minute
Clean your beauty blender in 1 minute
I saw this Beauty hack on Tik Tok and thought I would give it a try and see if it actually worked. It’s suppose to be a one minute hack to clean your your beauty blender. Materials Needed: Microwave Microwavable glass Dirty Beauty blender Warm water It was such a simple process and these were the steps I did Steps: 1). Wet your sponge 2). get a glass fill with warm water add a few drops of liquid dishwashing soap mix up with finger. 3). drop the sponge in the water, make sure it’s submerged 4). microwave it for one minute, let the glass cool down before removing from microwave. 5). After the water has cooled, Squeeze out the beauty blender and run it under warm water while squeezing. Repeat depending how dirty your blender is. 6) let it dry overnight This was a quick and easy beauty hack and it worked great on my blender as you can tell from the picture. I recommend you try it out and let me know how it work for you. if your blender is really dirty you might need to repeat steps My blender wasn’t that dirty so it only took one time for me to clean. REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Complexion Sponge This is a good dupe for the Beauty blender sponge. I use a brush for my foundation but use this to blend around my jaw line & for my concealer.
