Are face masks important in a skincare routine? In my opinion... it depends. Some people may not need them if they found their routine that works for them while others may prefer to add one for extra benefits or to indulge in self-care or “me time” while still achieving quick instant results (myself included). What does Cocokind’s Chlorophyll mask do compared to others out there? The goal of this mask is to soothe, clarify and brighten (the appearance of) dull skin and that it does.
it purifies, calms, and detoxes the skin
reduces any puffiness and meant to support circulation
However, the reason why I love this one over others is because of how versatile it is!!! How do you use/apply it? After cleansing and toning:
using the little spatula included you take one scoop (I usually use about two) and mix it in a bowl with whatever base your skin is craving (continue reading to understand what I mean by this)
apply the paste to your skin and leave anywhere between 20-40 minutes depending on what your skin needs and rinse
What did you mean by base/What do I mix it with?
Water: great if you have normal to oily skin and/or just want a simple mask that will focus on any impurities and detox the skin (will dry somewhat tight but nothing painful). Add more water for a thinner (more diluted mask) or less for a thicker consistency that is more concentrated. Leave on for 20-30 minutes.
Rosewater/toners/oils: this mixture is great if you have normal to dry skin because it still detoxes and focuses on the necessary areas but adds a level of hydration that is needed to give you back the glow. two scoops of the mask + 3 spritz of a rosewater toner (also by cocokind) + 1-2 drops of a facial oil with 1-2 light drops of water
Avocado: AMAZING to soften and hydrate your skin. Helps skin elasticity, immunity, and rich in fatty acids. Use 1/2 an avocado or less, mash + 1 scoop of the mask for 20 minutes. Your skin will never have felt SOFTER I swear✨
Yogurt: hear me out I was also skeptical at first. This mask is ideal to target dullness as it is rich in calcium and Vitamin B which moisturizes the skin. You can use both dairy or non-dairy yogurt and still get the added benefits. I use 1 scoop of plain organic yogurt + 1 scoop of the mask for 20 mins. I have never seen my skin bounce back as quick as it does when I use this mixture it is UNREAL ✨
Honey: great to boost and clarify the glow and for irritated and breakout prone skin. Rich in antioxidants and has antibacterial properties. Use about 1/2 a tablespoon of honey and 1-2 scoops of the mask and mix in
Feeling adventurous? I also drink a full glass of water + 2 scoops of this mask 2-3x a week because of the purifying/detoxifying qualities which promote healthy blood flow and removes toxins both inside and out. A mask you can drink AND use on your face? We have no choice but to stan a versatile queen. As always if you’re interested in Cocokind products use ‘SEBASTIAN10’ for a discount!! ❣️✨

SebastiannvidalBecause it didn’t fit in the post: it has spirulina powder (detoxes skin and improves surface cell turnover-LOVE), Chlorella powder (provides oxygen to cells and protects against oxidative stress), is also certified organic.

DIY Acne Calming Face Mask
DIY Acne Calming Face Mask
Can’t end the week without my #FacemaskFriday! 💙 Since my skincare has been all over the place lately, tonight, I tried a calming DIY mask. It might not be the most Instagram-worthy, but I promise your skincare will LOVE how this mask feels. - 1 tsp rolled oats - 1 tsp raw honey - 1 tsp whole milk - 1 tsp plain yogurt Mix all the ingredients and let the oats soak the milk for about 2-3 minutes. Once you have it ready, the mask will look and feel like a paste. Apply to your face and let it rest for at least 10 minutes. ⏰ I love leaving mine for a bit longer. Then, follow up with a gentle cleanser and a moisturizer. 🌟 Why does this mask work to calm the skin? 💭 1️⃣ Oatmeal is naturally soothing, and it can help calm itchiness and redness. 2️⃣ Honey is antibacterial and antimicrobial to help fight inflammation. 3️⃣ Milk and yogurt are great exfoliants that can remove dead skin cells and promote cell turnover. Would you give this mask a try? 👇👇

GLOBAL BEAUTY CARE - Assorted Gel Masks Key Ingredients: Glycerin (moisturizer/humectant), Cucumis Sativa Fruit Extract and Hamamelis Virginiana Extract (soothing), Ascorbic Avis (brightening), and Tocopherol (antioxidant). Scent: Cucumber Consistency/Texture: Gel Price: $9.99 for 3 X 1.7 oz mask each (Rose, Gold, and Cucumber) and mask applicator Experience: I love using this mask after I exfoliate (use about 2 times a week) because it’s so cooling and deep cleansing. It soothes my skin, but also does well to draw out impurities and oils. It also hydrates my skin without breaking it out. It’s easy to remove and doesn’t leave any residue behind. Repurchase/Recommend: Yes, it’s very budget-friendly and have enjoyed all the products included in this set! It’s soothing and great for an anytime mask. This one is a must buy for me because it actually detoxifies and hydrates the skin, without stripping. . SEPHORA COLLECTION - Mask Stick Key Ingredients: Watermelon (nourishes skin) Scent: Watermelon Consistency/Texture: Thin Clay Mask Price: $8 for 0.88 oz Experience: The stick form can be a little difficult to use in some areas, like around the nose and hairline. It also doesn’t seem hygienic because the bacteria can just harbor on there and you’re rubbing it directly on your face. It is very easy to apply, one of my main cons with clay masks is how difficult and thick they are to remove. This one is thin and easily wipes off with a washcloth. My skin is more nourished and isn’t stripped from this clay mask. I use this 1-2 times a week, depending how dry my skin is. Repurchase/Recommend: Yes, especially when they are on sale. It’s a must for me because it’s quick and easy to use and see results! I’m excited to try others from this line. . SEPHORA COLLECTION - Gel Mask Hydrating & Quenching Key Ingredients: Hyaluronic Acid (hydrates), Sea Fennel Extract (unifies and and illuminates complexion and restores radiance), and Magnesium Aspartate, Zinc Gluconate, and Copper Gluconate Complex (protect against free radicals; leaves skin refreshed, more toned, and less tired-looking). Scent: Very Fragranced, like Hollister Consistency/Texture: Gel Mask Price: $10 for 1 oz OR $20 for 2 oz Experience: I do like it for whenever my skin is looking a little bleh, but it’s nothing special. It is very fragranced and the directions tell you to remove it with a cotton ball and not rinse it off. I don’t feel comfortable leaving something so fragrant on my face, plus it does feel heavy so I think it’d break me out. Maybe that’s why I haven’t seen much results, but it’s a fun mask to grab when it’s on sale. Not worth full price. I only use this once a week because it’s so fragranced and heavy, if I use it more I’ll break out. Repurchase/Recommend: It was a decent mask, but I’d only purchase it again if it’s on sale (the smaller size is currently $4 when you can catch it in stock). Fragrance is very high on the list and can easily be smelled, even after removal, so would not recommend this to those with sensitive skin.

Origins Original Skin: the best face mask
Origins Original Skin: the best face mask
I’ve tried SO many different masks over the years, but nothin’ has ever come close to this. ORIGINS - Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay This baby is the ultimate mask. It has worked miracles on my skin. Acne? Check. Dull skin? Check. Redness? Check. Roughness? Check. The rough bits help slough all the dead texture off my face and reveal buttery soft skin—seriously. The rose clay is extremely soothing on my very sensitive face. After using, acne spots are incredibly diminished and my facial redness is almost gone. My normally-gigantic pores are the size of needle points! It even helps with oil control. This is like a soothing treatment and acne/pore treatment all in one. It’s especially helpful in the harsher winter weather. One tube of this unrivaled mask lasts me probably a year, using it once or twice a week. A little goes a long way, which makes every penny worth it. If I use this religiously, my acne dwindles to probably 25% of what it is without using the mask. Truly a GAME-CHANGER! If you want to give your skin some lovin’, I suggest this! Ever used it? What are your thoughts?🤍

Minimalist texture shot of tea
Minimalist texture shot of teamiblends Green Tea Detox Mask ⁣ What's your idea of "detox" when it comes to your skin? Think about it: "Detox" can really mean anything and gets thrown around a lot these days. For me, "detoxifying" skincare is something that cleanse the skin from lots of gunk, like pollution, makeup, and bacteria that ends up sitting on my skin and clogging the pores. It is also something that contains either clay, activated charcoal and/or antioxidants.⁣ ⁣ This Teami Green Tea Detox Mask ticks all my boxes as it's both detoxifying and calming. Matcha green tea's natural antioxidants in the formula soothe angry, inflamed skin while aloe vera can help speed healing with its anti-inflammatory and cooling properties. Along with two different types of clay, including Bentonite and Kaolin clay, this masks helps absorb those surface impurities and fight blemishes.⁣ ⁣ You've probably already know about this mask on my previous review. To this day, I still love using this mask once a week especially when my skin is irritated and not feeling its best. That's because, unlike any other harsh detoxifying mask, this mask instantly calmed my irritation and redness, and relieved almost all of the itchiness I had. It also calmed my mind with its relaxing scent which comes from green tea and lemongrass essences, no artificial fragrances included.⁣ ⁣ I left it on for 15 minutes and noticed that it didn't crack my skin dry and tight. After the mask came off, my skin was left feeling smooth, supple and hydrated.⁣ ⁣ I definitely recommend it to anyone with any skin type because it’s gentle, so it helps to soothe inflamation vs. making it worse. It does a little bit of everything and leaves my skin collected. Obsessed!⁣

Apply on clean face and allow to dry (approx 10 min). Rinse well. My review- - I have dry, sensitive, and acne-prone skin. I purchased this product before realizing how packed full of essential oils Origins products are, and how they can be harmful to the skin. However, I still really love their masks. First off, this mask smells absolutely amazing! It has a comforting, warm honey scent. The mask also has a gorgeous golden bronze appearance. I typically leave it on for 10 minutes. When I wash it off I’m left with smooth, hydrated skin. It really does what it says, it purifies and nourishes the skin! If you liked the pore-clearing of the effects of their original charcoal mask, but found it too drying, you should definitely try this mask!
