My fool proof routine for the perfect base!
Forming a base routine can be so tricky, time consuming, and expensive! Especially with my combo skin! When I wear foundation this is the routine I follow. After my skincare has had a few minutes to soak in, I start with sunscreen! Sunscreen over long term use is going to help your skin look more even and bright! It’s so much easier to get the glass skin effect when you don’t have dark spots or an uneven tan. I’ve been using the LANCÔME - Absolue Premium BX Regenerating and Replenishing Care SPF 15 Skincare
Poreless face primers
Combination skin sunscreens
Moisturizers for patches
Moisturisers for pores

My FAV Foundation for my Skin #CheriePartner
Hey Y’all! So I don’t wear foundation often but when I do I only go for two different ones. Which is The Fenty Foundation (dewy formula) or NYX - Total Control Drop Foundation which is what I’ll be talking about today! 🤎 When looking for a foundation I usually always go for a dewy look. I’m not a huge fan of matte anything. The thing I like about the Total Control drop foundation is that it’s soft matte but can be easily manipulated to give a more dewy look. 🤎 I love the Total Control drop foundation simply because a little goes a long way! I have sensitive combination skin and foundation tends to irritate it. But with this foundation I have found solace! It goes on super smooth and I only need a few drops. I usually go for light coverage as you can see from the pictures. The dropper definitely helps in controlling how much foundation you need. 🤎 Another great thing is that NYX is super affordable and the same applies to this foundation! It’s only about $14 and because you only need a little it lasts for quite a while. I’ve had this bottle for about 6 months and it’s still has a lot! 🤎 When applying the foundation I simply put 1-2 drops on the back of my hand and take NYX - Holographic Halo Liquid Highlighting Brush and dip it in the foundation and just buff it over my skin. I like this brush but I don’t love it. I know it’s a highlighter brush but I just haven’t found a foundation brush that cuts it for me. I would love some suggestions if you guys have some! 🤎 After buffing out the foundation with the brush I take a beauty blender and dip it in the foundation as well to cover any spots I miss. Then I spray the beauty blender with NYX - Dewy Finish Makeup Setting Spray and just blend out a little more this helps add a little bit of a dewy sheen to the foundation. I absolutely love the Dewy Finish setting spray it gives me everything I’m looking for! ✨ In conclusion this foundation is really good and it helps blur out imperfections and has a very buildable formula so it works anywhere from light to full coverage! You can leave it as a soft matte as is or add a nice setting spray to give you any look you desire! ✨I’d love to hear your tips and tricks on foundation and good foundation brush recommendations! ✨ BESOS 😘
Beauty blender dupes ✨
The first makeup sponge I used was the beauty blender pro sponge. I loved it so much. I used it every single day to blend my foundations, blushes, and powders. After using it so much it started looking old and I realized I definitely didn’t want to spend $20 for a sponge. I started trying out so many affordable ones and lots of them didn’t work until... Real techniques miracle complexion sponge, when it’s dry it feels slightly stiff but still nice and soft to the touch. When you wet it it becomes super soft. It blends my foundation very well, similar to the beauty blender at a 1/3 of the price! One of my favorite sponges so far! $5.99 and I’ve found these at marshalls and tj maxx for about $3-4! REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Complexion Sponge Hank & Henry midori sponge set, I got this sponge set in my boxycharm and I really like it. The set had the large and small sponge. Slighter stiffer than the real techniques but a nice sponge. The small one is perfect for blending on the inner corners or any hard to reach area. The large sponge gets HUGE when it’s wet, great for apply blush in my opinion and anything you want. Even if it’s kinda stiff this is still very soft. Unfortunately online they’re sold separately $14.00 for the large sponge and $9.00 for the small one. HANK & HENRY - Midori Bundle Miss A AOA studio super soft wonder blender, one of the best really affordable sponges I’ve tried. It’s really soft and blends like a dream. Very very slight stiffness when dry but super soft when wet. Haven’t had any problems with this one. $1.55! I didn’t have mines with me so I attached a picture of it. AOA studio - AOA Wonder Blender Last and definitely not least the original beauty blender in pro, super soft to the touch and incredible at blending. The hype is real. $20 beautyblender - Pro If you want to spend $20 every few months then this sponge is worth it, super great! If you’re like me that prefers a more affordable one than these options are great as well. These all feel great on the skin, blend your makeup and at the end of my makeup routine I’ve found that these all look very similar and almost identical to each other. ☺️✨
My Everyday Summer 2020 Makeup Routine
My routine always starts with a good skincare routine! Find one that works for you and make sure it includes SPF! I’ve been using a moisturizer with SPF ORIGINS - A Perfect World SPF 40 Age-Defense Moisturizer with White Tea This dual product is nice because I don’t have to add an extra layer to get moisture I need! It’s a great product but I will probably end up going back to my COOLA which is my holy grail. COOLA - Classic Face Sunscreen Moisturizer SPF 50 I’ve always done my eye makeup first so I’ve been using the ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Norvina Eyeshadow Palette shades Incense and passion in the crease with tarte - Limited-edition Clay Pot Waterproof Shadow Liner in the shade Rose Gold all over the lid. Next, I’ve been using the Dr. Jart+ - Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45 This is the only BB Cream I’ve used that gets along with my combo-oily skin! Plus it has bonus SPF! Then I apply the ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-In-Place Flawless Wear Concealer to my under eyes. This concealer is fine but it’s way too drying and full coverage for my taste. Then I use the BECCA - Sunlit Bronzer basically all over my face 😂 nose, cheeks, forehead! I use the shade Bronzed Bondi. Helps me look like I actually have a tan! It has a subtle sheen that makes it look so natural! Then I blend a light amount of the PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Blush in Vintage Rouge into my cheeks. Then, I apply the HOURGLASS - Veil Translucent Setting Powder to my undereyes, my T zone, and my jawline. Finally I draw in my eyebrows with ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Pomade and set them with the ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Clear Brow Gel The clear brow get is fine but it’s too drying and crunchy for me. Finally I apply mascara! Rodial - Glamolash Mascara XXL This mascara is fine but it clumps up so easily so you have to be careful! #cheriepartner
After a lot of trial and error with both drugstore and expensive facial sunscreens, COOLA - Classic Face Sunscreen Moisturizer SPF 50 has now become my summer staple It’s a lightweight formula that absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving it greasy or streaky - It honestly feels more like a moisturiser than a sunscreen! One of the biggest reasons I love this product so much is that it doesn’t leave me irritated or overly clog my pores. I have sensitive skin and most of the other sunscreens I’ve tried leave my skin irritated or cause me to break out after prolonged use, but I haven’t had any of those concerns with COOLA. It goes on over my moisturiser and under my foundation without any issues. It also works fantastic on it’s own in full direct sun like when taking the dog for a walk or sunbathing ☀️ I would give this 5/5 stars but I just wish it wasn’t as expensive as it is. The tube it comes in is on the smaller side and after daily use I’ve had to repurchase a few times, but I’m happy to do so!
Make up and hair haul
This is my second online purchase as of recent. I decided to go a little luxe. Here’s what I got and why! dyson - Airwrap Complete Styler-For Multiple Hair Types and Styles I purchased this after using a friends. I love how it’s a multipurpose tool. I can dry my hair like normal, I can curl my hair or I can even get my hair straight. I went ahead and decided that since it’s so many things in one and that it will last some time I could justify the price. VISEART - Petite Pro 4 Apricotine I purchased this because it honestly is just so pretty. It’s a perfect neutral that can go day or night. It’s perfect for travel! DIOR - Airflash Spray Foundation I work in the beauty industry and I hear so many great things about this foundation. I decided it’s time to just get it. I hope to do an update soon with my opinion on this. dermalogica - Special Cleansing Gel I purchased the mini cleansing gel so I can de some at home peels while working from home. I have so many dermalogica professional products that I want to take advantage of and use them. If there are other esthetician here that want to know what peel I’m doing I’ll make a post! NATASHA DENONA - Diamond & Blush Palette This is a beautiful product. I have yet to use it but in the pan it just glows. It was on sale too! My samples (that I didn’t choose) CHANEL - GABRIELLE CHANEL Eau de Parfum VIKTOR&ROLF - Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum

Debbie Thornberry Halloween Make-Up 🖤🧡
As promised from yesterday’s post (if you haven’t seen it go check it out I have a tutorial on how to do this hair) here is the make up inspiration for Debbie Thornberry. I grew up with The Wild Thornberrys amongst other great cartoons from the late 90s and early 2000s. Debbie was my favorite character on the show. When I got my TIGI - A Wave We Go Adjustable Deep Waver and used it for the first time she was immediately what popped into my head. Base: For the base I started off with the laura mercier - Pure Canvas Primer - Hydrating purely because my skin has been a little drier with the weather change. This is a must for dry skin. It has a lightweight cream formula that adds hydration without being too heavy. Plus it’s silicone free (which doesn’t bother me but I know it’s important to some people). Then I used my favorite ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation in the shade 1N0. Afterwards I went in with my new laura mercier - Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Concealer in the shade .5 N. I’m obsessed with this stuff! It has the coverage of Shape Tape without being so heavy. It’s very creamy and opaque. It’s been a huge winner for me lately. Then I set everything with the laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder and laura mercier - Secret Brightening Powder for Under Eyes Eyes: Debbie doesnt really wear much make up so I decided to keep it really simple. I used the KVD VEGAN BEAUTY - Dagger Tattoo Liner Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner to draw a wing as her eye shape is very angular. I used the benefit - BADgal BANG! 24 Hour Eye Pencil in my waterline and the benefit - Benefit Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara to finish off the eyes. I kept the brows pretty simple too only using the benefit - Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel in shade 4.5 for some color. Blush/Bronzer: To me it doesn’t look like Debbie wears blush or bronzer but I wanted to update the look a little so I did. I used the third shade in the NYX - Highlight & Contour Pro Palette for my contour. It’s a really nice, cool toned contour that blends out perfectly on the skin. I also mixed the two blushes from the HOURGLASS - Ambient Lighting Face Palette and placed them on the apples of the cheeks to brighten up the face. Lips: For lips I chose the stila - Shine Fever Lip Vinyl in Turbo. With the time period of the show I didn’t imagine liquid lipsticks would be a huge thing so I decided to go with more of a gloss. This lip vinyl is a perfect opaque gloss with a mauve tone to it. It’s definitely not transfer proof and will slide around if you’re not careful (definitely not mask friendly).
Easy fall makeup 🍂🍃
ARDELL - Naked Lashes these are the best lashes if you wanna look glam but not to over the top ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation this is one of my favorite foundations to take pictures in ,it wears great all day BITE - Spice Things Up Amuse Bouche Lipstick Collection the shade is crushed chili very pigmented and perfect for fall
Primerize me, Cap’n! 🦜
Good evening, everyone! Been a busy week for me, so sorry for lack of posts. I got a new mini lighting booth for my Poshmark store and wanted to test it out tonight. Pretty pleased so far 😁 Here are three primers that I’m currently playing with. My tried and true is the Benefit Porefessional Primer. I honestly don’t use it under makeup; I use it to blur my skin and then use translucent powder over it to keep me from getting oily on “no makeup” days. I love the illumination of the pearl version as I still get a healthy little glow going. I’ve yet to try the Laneige one, but have wanted to for a while now. Thankfully, Sephora has been offering samples with orders so I got a couple. The TIS one is a classic Korean primer. It’s probably the only one that has ever worked for me under makeup. My combo skin typically just breaks down any and all primers, so I never use them under makeup. Remember to hydrate and check your WiFi 😘
Golden Hour Glow makeup faves ✨✨
I love a glowy makeup look! I like it understated but still bold at the same time. These are my fave products to use to achieve the “glow” in this makeup look. In the summer I use a lot of liquid products because for me sweating is inevitable and I live in a super humid country (South Korea). I find that the more powder I use, the more it looks super cakey and runs off as soon as I start to sweat. I “embrace” the glowy look which is also just sweat 😂😅 So the products I use are: LANEIGE - Glowy Makeup Serum which is a really great launch from them recently! It is super lightweight and gives a beauty understated sheen to the skin! I use this either mixed in with my foundation or right after my primer/before foundation. I love the look this gives my skin! ICONIC - Illuminator Liquid Highlight is single handedly my favorite highlighter product EVER. bold statement I know. I just look the way this looks on the skin. I showed a swatch so you can see how sheen and natural it looks. A very very small amount is needed so this will last forever!!! I love love love this product. Kosas - Color & Light: Cream Blush & Highlighter Duo my favorite cream blush!! See swatch photo! I actually love to combine both of these on the same dense blush brush and apply to the apples of my cheeks. The result is seamless and looks dewy and peachy. Love it! This is the shade velvet melon (High intensity). Get your glow on ✨✨✨😇 #cheriepartner
Favorite affordable powders! ✨
These are the powders I always come back to since they’re some of my favorites. These work really well with my skin and are really affordable too! Essence all about matt fixing compact powder, I really love this powder. It makes my skin matte but not dry looking. I always set my face with this or use this alone. It doesn’t move my foundation or any base I have. This powder is only $3.99 and you can always use a code on ULTA or their website to get it cheaper. essence - All About Matt! Fixing Compact Powder AOA studio perfect finishing pressed powder, really nice fine powder. These come in a variety of shades and also in translucent and banana color. This is super affordable $1 on shopmissa.com AOA studio - Perfect Pressed Powder Coty airspun loose powder in translucent, a classic powder that I’ve been using for several years. Sets full coverage and sheer makeup so it’s very versatile. It does have a strong scent so I left it slightly open to a few days. Now all it has is a subtle scent. This varies in price from $5.90-8.00 Coty AIRSPUN - Loose Face Powder Ciate coconut setting powder, fine powder that feels really nice on the skin. Keeps my makeup set in place. I got this in a boxycharm. A little more on the pricey side. $22 on ciate site. ciaté - Everyday Vacay Coconut Setting Powder
Night Out Makeup
Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you what kind of products I typically use for a night out. First of all, some of these are products I would wear on a normal basis, and some are ones I only use on a special occasion. We are all different in our skin types and concerns, brow shapes, and lash tendencies. That being said, as I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I’ve got considerably dry skin (for the most part), good brows that are very light colored, and naturally long lashes that are brutally flat. I just recently tried MORPHE - Hint Hint Skin Tint , and it is wonderful for those of us who have clearer skin that don’t want to display a super heavy/cakey look. I’ve had my REVOLUTION - Ultra Contour Palette for quite some time and use it for multiple purposes. I even use a couple of the shades for eyeshadow. The mascara I am wearing in this picture, appleBiotic - Super Lash Mascara is the best I’ve ever tried in terms of keeping my lashes looking long and beautiful all day. HOWEVER, if you decide to buy it, please PLEASE wear an eyelash primer or put a different mascara on first. This stuff sticks to lashes like glue. No joke. Hope everyone has a wonderful Labor Day weekend!!!

BEST BRUSH FOR SMALL/SEMI-HOODED EYES! 🤩
YOU GUYS. THIS 👏 BRUSH 👏 IS 👏 IT 👏 You have no idea how long I’ve been trying to find a brush that fit my criteria: Tangibee’s Criteria: - Fits her eyeshape - Packs on color well - Blends well without overblending or creating patchiness - Not Poky - Semi Firm - Not your typical round blending brush - Tapered - Works with Well with buttery, powder textures Every brush I would encounter would maybe meet 75% of this criteria. I wanted a brush that could blend while laying it flat on my eye because round blending brushes have a tendency to take my eyeshadow up higher when I wanted a minimalist look(shown in first photo). I never really understood the artistic works of a natural hair eyeshadow brush and how it can impact the final results of eyeshadow. The Sonia G Worker Pro brush really helped me understand it! Here’s the breakdown: 1. Time Reduction The natural hairs on this brush picks up just the right amount of product and reduces fall out! The tapered end allows you to have precision and control over your color placement. Once you place on the color you can literally start using this brush for blending by turning it on it’s side or continue to use it flat! This has reduced my workflow on my eyes from blending for 30 minutes down to 10! You can see the hairs and the shape of the brush on photo 2 and 3. I found that my MORPHE - M505 Tapered Blender Brush can sometimes be too flimsy for the job. This can cause difficulty when you’re working with darker colors or hard-to-blend colors because they just tend to not move anywhere. 2. Shimmers/Metallics We all know that synthetics are great at applying shimmers. However the ones that I’ve tried from morphe, hourglass, and sigma seem to have too much “slip”. Therefore, they’re good for packing but blending can be a mess with sparkles everywhere or you might encounter some streaking during application. That nice shimmer that we all love just suddenly disappears. I was really surprised when I created the eyelook in photo 1 that every single sparkle in the shadow came through on my eyes! Not to mention that blending the top of the eyeshadow was a breeze! If your shimmers seem to look muddy or just “off” and don’t pull that same result as your finger swatches, try the Worker Pro out! In photo 4 you can see the results of me using this brush with the ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Norvina Eyeshadow Palette 3. Eyeshape I found that this brush was a perfect for my eyeshape! I was able to get into those tiny nooks and crannies that would normally be difficult with other flat & dense brushes. I could easily read use this brush for my whole eye area without having to switch to another blending brush. The fact that it was SO SOFT but firm allowed me to create a perfect diffused tail(shown in photo 1 & 4). There was little to no clean up and I took a good 15 minutes just admiring how well my eyeshadow came out! Get this brush! It is LIIIIIFE! 😍❤️
Getting that PERFECT Blend: Tips/Tool/Tutorial!
HAAAAY EVERYBODY! Today I thought I share the tools that help create the PERFECT gradient of eyeshadow shown in in the first photo! The second photo will give you a visual. Take advantage of it!!! 😃 Here are some tips: 1. Stamping I mention stamping a lot in my posts but just for eyeshadow purposes, stamping helps build up pigment on the area desired without blending it out. This look required stamping first to provide that clean precision. The edges of the base color become more diffused after we added the darker shade, because there’s a lot more blending that has to be done with darker shades. If it bothers you too much you’re more than welcome to give the edges a light blend with the SIGMA - E54 Medium Sweeper Brush 2. Get a Smaller Blending Brush for Darker Shades THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT! Many of us make the mistake to go with a regular sized blending brush. The size of your blending brush makes all the difference in whether your eyeshadow becomes muddy or a beautiful soft gradient that transitions well. I use SONIA G - Sky Eye Set in it has a brush that is called the “Mini booster” and it applies the perfect amount of dark pigment. The natural hairs on the brush really help in blending it out and into the inner crease of my eyes. If you don’t have this brush get something similar in size. Here’s a more inexpensive optionMORPHE - M506 Tapered Mini Blender Brush 3. Micro-adjustments Micro-adjustments can make or break your look. We’ve all been there when it comes to eyeliner. (Wanting you add just a HAIR and we come out looking like a panda🤣) However, don’t let that scare you! Makeup is all about practice and seeing what works for you and your eyeshape. If you find that one spot needs a little help, it’s okay to fix it! The key is to take it easy and slow. You automatically go heavy handed and not check your work, you’ll have a lot more to fix than just that one little spot. 4. The More Dense the Brush, The More Pigment Now this is just a general rule of thumb, but it helps in understanding how much color you’ll be picking up/applying. The more flimsy and fluffy the brush, the softer your look is going to be. The firmer/denser the brush is the more high impact your look is going to be. Hope this has helped you in your application! There’s more to this but these are just the basics! Happy Learning! ❤️

Turning myself into Merengue from ACNH 🍓
Hi, my name’s Francine and I’m addicted to Animal Crossing!!! 🐶🐷🐱🐰🦊💗 If you guys have been following along you’ve probably seen my other ACNH inspired lewks. Someone suggested I did Merengue next, and honestly she was already on my list! Merengue is a normal rhino villager and her name comes from “meringue”, a type of dessert made with egg whites and sugar. My husband has her on his island and she’s the cutest!! 🍰 I also got inspo from @neoini on IG! They did this look a while ago, and I’m just beyond obsessed. Here’s what I used for this look: 🍓 e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer 🍰DIOR - Forever Skin Correct Concealer 🍓essence - All About Matt! Fixing Compact Powder 🍰essence - Satin Touch Blush 🍓COLOURPOP - Strawberry shake shadow palette 🍰CALEY COSMETICS - Beach Babe Natural Lips 🍓Glossier. - Glossier. Lip Gloss 🍰Freck BEAUTY - THE ORIGINAL FRECKLE 🍓OFRA - Limited Edition Rodeo Drive Highlighter Ornament 🍰 ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Gel How did I do it: • First I started by prepping my skin, so I used my favorite primer atm. The elf poreless putty primer gives me a smooth, flawless base every time. • Next I spot concealed with the Dior forever skin correct concealer, I wear shade 1W. • I like to keep my brows soft when I’m doing villager inspired makeup lol, so I only went in with the dipbrow gel, which I don’t love but I can’t find my elf wow brow 😔 • Now for the eyes I used one of my favorite palettes from CP and did a soft, shimmery pink eye bc the lil strawberry nose is the focal point here! • The nose was so hard guys, I used a white concealer and a green eyeliner from a now discontinued beauty brand and just carefully tried to draw a strawberry. Any white creamy shadow or concealer will work and any green shadow or liner is ok! I used the shade Daiquiri from the Strawberry Shake palette for the rest. Ta-da! • To set my makeup I used the essence - All About Matt! Fixing Compact Powder I purchased this powder when I did my Flora makeup and needed a white fixing powder. I went with Essence because honestly I rarely ever use mattifying powders for my regular makeup routine, and Essence is inexpensive and they’re powders are just top tier. This powder is supposed to be “invisible” so I just build up until I can no more and it works great! Its surprisingly lightweight even when I apply like 10 layers to get maximum opacity. Also the price is hard to beat! $3.99 for 8 grams 🙌 • I used the Satin Touch Blush in Coral love. • For the freckles I used the Freck BEAUTY - THE ORIGINAL FRECKLE the liquid-y formula and small brush makes it easy to draw fake freckles, but it’s a little warm for my taste and way too small. Def not a need.
Dupe alert of TATCHA 🚓 e.l.f. 💕$8 vs. 54$
Hi Cherie sisters 👯♀️ 💗 I want to share my recent fav product: e.l.f. poreless putty primer. I can tell that I’m a huge fan of TATCHA. The silk canva primer was by far the best primers I’ve found on the market (until I found e.l.f.). But I have continued my hunt to test out some more possible dupes with lower price. While scrolling through Cherie, I saw a post about e.l.f. poreless putty primer could be the dupe alert of TATCHA. I recently picked this up from Target and I can tell it is a dupe through component type, color, texture - everything and only $8.00 !!!! Cheap and great quality products. When I open it, it smells a bit chemically. I love the texture: feels like a mix of solid coconut oil and butter (close to a balm but not greasy) . It wasn’t stick or oily for me personally, and I felt it was a little less thick than the TATCHA !!!! It really does make for a flawless look since it is soooo smoothing and completely poreless just like it states. It definitely feels like silk when you touch it as TATCHA does. I'm dry skin type, and this is best for me since is def not dry when I use it, and it's not necessarily hydrating. I love TATCHA, but it was kind of pricey and didn’t last me that long. e.l.f. primer is the best dupe alert of TATCHA silk canva for students who can’t always afford to buy overly expensive makeup (just like me). Lower price with same quality. Gorgeous product!! Tips: I like to use finger to apply primer all over my face. The warmth from fingers will help better break the product down for easier application than brush.

Glow-from-within look ✨✨✨
Before getting this look down with make up, I used these products to prep my face for the day after cleansing and using my niacinamide treatment: The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA prepped my dry skin perfectly for the day. Normally I don’t initially reach for something with hyaluronic acid in my environment, but it was surprisingly humid this day in LA! So I knew the formula was gonna pay off for my usually dry skin. First I applied my Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 and it is THE best for protection and multi-tasks as the best velvety finish primer for makeup. I have a whole post dedicated to this product alone! Next I waited for that moisturizer to dry, then applied BECCA - Under Eye Brightening Corrector I’ve dabbed with my fingers and have to be precise with it, but it applies best with a blender/ sponge. After that set, I applied my bareMinerals - Complexion Rescue Hydrating Foundation Stick Broad Spectrum SPF 25 and it blurred out ALL THE THINGS I needed it to blur out *cough cough pores, cough cough* Then, along the edges of my forehead, near my ears and outer cheeks, went for the tarte - Limited Edition Buff & Bronze Body Kabuki Brush and blended out the foundation and bronzer together for a soft sunkissed look. For the highlighter under the eyebrows and above the cheeks, I used the BECCA - Pop Goes the Glow Champagne Pop Face & Eye Palette and man is this another multi-tasking item! Applied the darkest color along the center of my my eyelids by the crease, and the pinkish color along the top of my eyelids by my eyelashes. To top things off, I went for it with my tarte - Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara and while I love the application and lengthening, don’t love that it runs easily. Definitely consider a drugstore mascara, never underestimate those! Let me know if you have any questions and what you love to use to pull off that “glow from within” look for the day!
How to look good for a Zoom call 🗣
It’s all about the lighting ladies and gents! You neeeeeed to manipulate the lighting in your surroundings AND on your face. How? Highlight, brightening, and contour. For under eyes use a brightening color corrector that reflects light. I use BECCA - Under Eye Brightening Corrector and it works really well to help out my dark circles. It brightens with the peachy tone and has a sight shimmer to reflect light. Really great product! I also use MAYBELLINE - Instant Anti Age Eraser Concealer which is such an affordable and great product. Can crease sometimes so less is more! It really helps conceal and hydrate my under eyes. Lastly I use the tarte - Park Ave Princess Waterproof Face & Body Bronzer (the palette version) to contour and accentuate my features. A great tip is to place the contour HIGH on the cheekbones for a lifted look. Add some yellow highlight powder under your eyes and some highlighter on the top of your cheekbone. 💋🤍 #cheriepartner

They have SO many shades and in so many different undertones, there’s no way you won’t be able to find your perfect color match! This pressed powder is lightweight, yet still providing some coverage. I love it!

Bite Beauty's changemaker products are stunning! 😍
Bite Beauty has launched its foundation series! The packaging in morandi pink is so stunning! The three products introduced include the Changemaker Skin-Optimizing PrimerBITE - Changemaker Skin-Optimizing Primer, Changemaker Supercharged Micellar FoundationBITE - Changemaker Supercharged Micellar Foundation, and Changemaker Flexible Coverage Pressed PowderBITE - Changemaker Flexible Coverage Pressed Powder. The primer is available in two formulas (one for normal to dry skin and one for normal to oily skin) whereas the foundation comes in 32 shades! The pressed powder is also available in eight shades. I bought the foundation in the shade L10 and pressed powder in the shade Light 1. The foundation is totally skin-like. Even when I apply two layers, it doesn't look cakey at all. Instead, it improves my uneven skin texture and also offers sheer coverage. This foundation is marketed to offer a moderate coverage. However, since I use a beauty blender, the coverage is lighter than expected but I think it will offer a fuller coverage if I use a brush instead.🤔 The pressed powder is also really thin and lightweight but there is nothing special about it. I recently especially prefer using tinted pressed powder for makeup finishing and contouring.😉

Best Setting Powder Awards
I always use setting powder after foundation to ensure a long-lasting makeup. Here are 3 setting powder products that I want to show you and they are finalists of my Best Setting Powder Awards: NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder - Best for pores I bought this in a loose powder version. They also have pressed powder version but this one has 10 grams which is more than pressed powder at the same price. The texture of this powder is very silky and smooth and it’s translucent. It gives you a matte finish but not very powdery but a little bit shimmery. I would say this is the most long-lasting setting powder and the best for pores in my collection. It can blur my pores and create a long-lasting flawless look. It impressed me that while it set my makeup on my face, it doesn’t make my skin dry or sit into the lines to make my makeup looks cakey, and that’s why I love it. GIVENCHY Prisme Libre Loose Powder - Best for colour-correcting This GIVENCHY loose powder is the best for colour-correcting. Compared to translucent powder, sometimes I like to use finishing powder like this one. This is a four-in-one product and they have different colour combination for different skin. I got this one with some pinky powder to even my skin tone and deliver a natural and healthy look. The texture is smooth as well and with some tiny glitters it gives a radiant-matte finish. But it’s not as long-lasting as the NARS one, so it’s more for a normal or dry skin. It has a puff with it so it’s convenient to use when you go outside. BECCA Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder - Best for dryness This is a very special and innovative setting powder. It’s a totally different product compared to my other setting powder because it doesn’t feel like a powder but feels like water! It said the powder contains 50% water which makes the texture very silky and milky. And when I apply it on my face it’s so weird. It feels so wet and cooling but it doesn’t ruin the foundation, and it will deliver a matte finish eventually and diminish imperfections. Again I think it’s not such long-lasting as it contains much water, but I like to use it during the winter when the weather is so dry. So I would give it the award of best setting powder for dryness.

Get the Best Base Makeup in 10 minutes!
Personally I wear makeup everyday. For base makeup, I use sunscreen, primer, foundation and concealer. Here are the products I bought last year and have been using them ever since. 😘 Elizabeth Arden REVAGE City Smart Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Hydrating Shield Elizabeth Arden - PREVAGE City Smart Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Hydrating Shield： I think it as a makeup product by me because it is tinted with color. Sometimes when I don't want heavy makeup on my face, I'd just use this after my routine skincare. After that, I'd just apply concealer and finishing powder then, ta-da! Base makeup complete.😉 MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Perfector Blurring Skin Tint (Shade: 4 Golden Sand) MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultra HD Perfector Skin Tint Foundation SPF 25: It has a lightweight finish and when applied with concealer and makeup setting products, the makeup can last for most of the day. The only drawback is that there are only a few shades available. It Cosmetics Bye Bye Breakout Full-Coverage Concealer (Shade: Medium (W)) it Cosmetics - Bye Bye Breakout Full-Coverage Concealer My friend recommended me this product when I had an acne flare. I was told that my acne would disappear after just a few days, and I have to say that it really does work on red swollen acne! Amazing!😍 By Terry Stylo-Expert Click Stick (Shade: 4.5 Soft Beige) BY TERRY - Stylo-Expert Click Stick Concealer It covers my under my eyes well and is not very dry. It has good coverage, but doesn't make my makeup look too heavy. Heavy under-eye makeup tends to result in coarse makeup. This product is just moderately lasting.

THE PERFECT BASE: NO MORE OIL!
For people with oily skin or people that have oily t-zones it can be so hard to find a makeup combination that will keep your makeup in place for a few hours let alone all day. It is pretty much impossible for my skin to be 100% oil free all day but I have seen a reduction in how oily my skin gets and I no longer have to reapply using this method. Rather than an looking like a greaseball I look “dewy” . Step 1: After i moisturize my face I use BECCA - Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector This is not for people with normal to dry skin. It can be very drying but it works great for oily or combination skin it really gives my skin a matte finish and absorbs any oil on my skin Step 2: I use tarte - Timeless Smoothing Primer This is great for reducing the appearance of pores and smithing out the texture of your skin. It is super thick and a little goes a long way. Step 3: URBAN DECAY - Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid This comes in a variety of colors but because I use it for dark spots and dark circles i use the shade Deep Peach. It helps to brighten dark areas and no dark spots shine through my foundation. Step 4: laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder I use the deep shade. I set my face with powder before I put on my foundation. This soaks up additional oils and I feel like putting powder on after my foundation makes my face look matte. If I am going for a dewy look I put it on before. And wait until i see little spots from where the powder absorbed oil before wiping away the excess. Step 5: LANCÔME - Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation i use the shade 530 Suede C. I love this foundation. It is a full coverage liquid foundation. It’s not super runny this foundation lasts longer than any other foundation I’ve used and it’s so easy to blend! Step 6: Setting spray. I like to spray on my foundation before i highlight and contour my face and after. It helps my makeup stay in place way longer. I use MAC - Prep + Prime Fix+ Primer and Setting Spray Matte Finish #CheriePartner

Foundations from Make up for ever—liquid or powder?
Today I want to share two products from Make up for ever, which is a professional brand with a great reputation. And their face products are really popular. I tried both the HD foundation and the Blurring powder foundation. I have dry skin, and I usually use moisturizing cream before I apply foundations, and my main expectation for them is to cover at least 50% of my pimples and acne marks. Besides, I have serious pores problem, and I need my foundations to fill and blur my pores. About the shade selection, I don’t want to look too white so I always go for the color that with neutral or yellow undertones. Let’s start with the Ultra HD Foundation, which is their best-selling, everyday liquid foundation. It has 50 shades, which is awesome, and my shade is Y225-Marble, for light skin with golden undertone. I had high expectations for this because lots of people said it didn’t dry out their skin and was comfortable to wear. It also has Hyaluronic Acid inside for hydrating. The finish is okay for me because it does give me a pretty natural look and can last for at least 6-7 hours. But there are several things I am not happy with. First of all, if I use a regular beauty blender to apply it, I can’t get much coverage even I use a lot. I can either use a dense brush or the velvet sponge from JUNO & Co. to have around 60% coverage. Besides, if I didn’t use a hydrating primer, I would have dry patches on my nose, cheeks and my smiling lines. The last thing is that I expected it to give me a luminous finish, but as you can see, it’s quite matte. So I need to use a setting spray to give myself some glow. To be honest, I use this foundation a lot for my daily makeup because it is really easy to blend and long-lasting, and it just doesn’t give me a surprise. Then let’s talk about the Matte Velvet Skin Powder. It claims to be full coverage, blurring powder with a lifelike matte finish, and you can wear 12 hours without cakes, flakes or fades. There are 30 shades and the names are the same as the HD collection. I use the shade Y235-ivory beige, which is a little darker than my skin but looks good after I finish my makeup. Compared to the HD one, I love this one much better—higher coverage, more blurring, longer-lasting, and almost no caking. At first, I thought it could be too dry for me to use powder products, but this one is really smooth and visibly reducing pores and still lightweight. Besides, it’s convenient to carry with and has a mirror inside. After buying this, I never used the HD one again. In conclusion, I feel like if you have the same skin problems, need coverage, and love matte finish. I highly recommend the Matte Velvet Powder Foundation no matter what skin type you got only if you prime well. And this is my favorite foundation ever!
