Favorite Face Palette
Face palettes are my favorite makeup item. There’s something about having everything in one palette like blush, bronzer and highlighter. My favorite powder face palette is the Too Faced – Natural face. I purchased my second one this year during the Ulta 21 days of Beauty sale. I had the first palette for about two years and used up three shades! I’m so happy to have it back in my collection. Here’s a little more about the palette: Too Faced - Natural Face Palette - 2 highlighters. One highlight is more pinky and the other one has a more yellow hint to it. This is the only thing I would change from this palette. A pink highlighter isn’t an everyday color for me. - 2 blushes. One is a pink shade and the other one is a more mauvy-nude shade. Perfect for everyday! - 2 Bronzers. One is a matte shade and one is a more shimmery blush. The shimmery blush doesn’t have any glitter, it’s just more glowy. I actually like it even though I gravitate towards matte shades. I LOVE this palette for everyday and it’s also perfect for traveling. There are some cons though. The biggest con is that the palette will only really work for Medium skin tones or lighter. It confuses me that Brands still haven’t come out with more than one shade of face palettes. There’s more than one shade of people. Here are some of my foundation shades in case you wonder if this palette will work for you: COVER FX - Pressed Mineral Powder Foundation – G50 SEPHORA COLLECTION - Matte Perfection Tinted Moisturizer – 6 Satin it Cosmetics - Bye Bye Foundation Oil-Free Matte Full Coverage Moisturizer with SPF 50+ – Medium Tan (Summer shade) Kosas - Tinted Face Oil Foundation – Shade 4/5 Glossier. - Perfecting Skin Tint + Stretch Concealer Duo G10 (Winter shade) Have you tried this palette yet?

Fenty Skin - Is it worth it?
When Rihanna announced earlier this year that Fenty Skin would be launching, I was ready to purchase right away. Rihanna has mastered the makeup game, so I didn’t even second-guess the skincare line. When I bought these items and started testing them out, it was EXTREMELY important that I didn’t have any bias opinions simply because I love Rihanna. Do I think these items are worth it? Read below: FENTY SKIN - Total Cleans'r Remove-It-All Cleanser The first thing I noticed right away just like everyone else is the fragrance. It’s not a strong smell but it’s definitely there. I am not sensitive to fragrance but I personally don’t really like the smell for a cleanser. I also feel like I must do a second cleanse to make sure my face is clean. The only pro that I found from this product is that it removes makeup very well. Would I repurchase? Honestly… No. There’s other products that work better for less money. I’m currently half way through this product and will finish it up. FENTY SKIN - Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum This is my least favorite product from the line. As you can see the bottle is still full. I have oily skin, and it seems to cause my skin to produce even more oil. I don’t even know what to do with the product since it’s not a cheap product and I don’t want to just throw it away. Would I repurchase? No. FENTY SKIN - Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen If I had to pick my favorite product from the line it would be the moisturizer, especially because it has SPF. This product also has a scent, but my skin doesn’t react to it, and the scent blends away after application. After I apply it, my skin looks very moisturized and glowy! It really makes your skin look gorgeous. My skin does get oiler throughout the day when I use this product which is a bummer. Would I repurchase? Hmmm Maybe not. The main reason why I would not repurchase it is because the refill is only $5 dollar cheaper. I understand the concept for trying to reduce plastic use… but only a $5 difference? The moisturizer is $35 alone which is not cheap at all. There's plenty moisturizers out there that are wayyy cheaper and SPF. What are your thoughts on Fenty Skin?

I finally bought it! - EM Cosmetics
After almost a year, I finally purchased the Magic Hour Collection. Everytime I attempted to purchase this, it was sold out. I used the products this weekend and I'm loving everything. The packing is beautiful but it doesn't feel as luxurious and heavy as it looks in images. it's also a collection with more of a golden and warmer tone, just to keep it mind. EM COSMETICS - Heaven’s Glow: Magic Hour Blush This is a beautiful blush! It has this beautiful sheen on the skin that gives your skin a glow within. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because it's lighter on my skin than I thought and it doesn't build up a ton. It does show up on my skin though, but it's not an extremely pigmented color. This blush kind of reminds me of Nars Orgasm blush and the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso. I am happy with my purchase. EM COSMETICS - Limited Edition Divine Skies Eyeshadow Palette Wow. This palette is everything I wanted! I'm sure I have these colors in other palettes, but there's something special about having this curated in one package. The formula is different (in a good way) and you can basically use your fingers or brush for a complete eye look. I completely recommend this palette 💓 EM COSMETICS - EM Cosmetics Lip Cushion This collection comes with a lip cushion, which I didn't necessarily need or want. It came in a bundle so I wasn't mad, and it's a good way to test out EM Cosmetics lip formula. I'm honestly a bit surprised because I like this more than I thought I would. It feels like a lip balm but with color and a glossy finish. It also lasts on the lips! I also think it's worth trying. Overall, I'm so happy with my purchase! I can't wait to keep testing it out. xoxox

Sephora VIP Sale 2020 - my pickups
with the Sephora sale and holiday gifts/sets coming out, I thought it would be the best time to pickup some new items! I only picked up three items which are all holiday sets. Since I'm a rouge member I received 20%, so make sure to take advantage of the sale if you're a member and there's stuff on your wishlist. Here's what I purchased: Charlotte Tilbury - Filmstar Bronze & Glow Contour Duo This is the first CT product I've ever purchased, and I've had my eye on the full size for a while now. However, I could never spend $70 on a bronzer and highlighter. This one is $29 so it's honestly a great way to try the product for less. As you can see, the contour shade is not noticeable on my skin.. It's a shame because I'm a light-medium skin tone. the highlighter is beautiful though. I'm going to test this product 2 times, but I might return it because of the shade. Rare Beauty - Best of Rare Beauty Lip & Cheek 2 Piece Mini Duo As soon as I saw these sets, I knew I needed one. I completely recommend this product. This set comes with a mini lipbalm in Thankful and a liquid blush in Bliss. I'm loving the lip balm so far. I do wish there was a set with a highlighter. great shades. FENTY BEAUTY - Fenty Glow Trio Face Lip & Body Set I am a fenty beauty lover since day 1. But believe it or not, I never tried their glosses! This set comes with a full-size blush, full-size lip gloss and a travel size highlighter. All of the products are in the shade Fenty Glow and OMG. These shades are so beautiful on the skin. It gives a natural nude color to the skin and with a glow. I can tell I will be using it year-round.

makeup favorites! perfect for travel.
This weekend I will be traveling(safely) and these are the makeup products I will be taking, not including my makeup brushes. Whenever I travel, I make sure to take the products I know work well and I love. Here are the products: 100% pure - Mattifying Primer Sample Packet I have the full size of this, and it's hands down my favorite primer. I have oily skin and this is the only primer I've ever used that makes a difference in my makeup longevity and is mattyfying. I can also layer dewy products and it balances my skin well. Kosas - Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer It's the concealer I've been using the most this year. shade 04. COVER FX - Pressed Mineral Powder Foundation I hit pan on this product and I'm trying to finish it up. it's a great product for oily skin. I'm taking this in case I want more coverage since I'm not bringing a foundation. laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder Setting powder. URBAN DECAY - All Nighter Waterproof Setting Powder Since I'm oily I need lots of powder. I'm bringing this as a touch up powder and for Mattifying. Kosas - Color & Light: Pressed Powder Blush & Highlighter Duo I have the shade Papaya 1972 and it's a beautiful peachy blush, and lasts a long time. Rare Beauty - Soft Pinch Liquid Blush Shade Grateful. Extremely pigmented blush! Rare Beauty - Brow Harmony Pencil and Gel I just ran out of my brow products and just picked this up, so I haven't formed an opinion yet! e.l.f. - Putty Eye Primer TOWER 28 - ShineOn Jelly Lip Gloss Shade Chill. Best lip product. Kosas - Wet Lip Oil Gloss this is my favorite lip oil formula. shade Dip tarte - Hamptons Weekender Contour Palette This palette is soo small and perfect for travel. I'm bringing it for the bronzer and Highlighter. tarte - Tartelette Give, Gift & Get Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Wardrobe I'm bringing the lil toasted palette because it has my perfect nude warm shades for everyday. let me know if you would like to see the skin care and/or makeup brushes I bring!
URBAN DECAY-All Nighter Waterproof Setting Powder
As soon as Kosas launched this product I purchased it and do not regret it at all. It's my favorite bronzer ever. What I love about this product is that I can use it for a no makeup day or I can use it for a full makeup look. When, I use this product on a no makeup day, I like to use it with a bronzer brush, then use a powder brush to blend out into my face and skin. When I do a full makeup look, I like to use a stuppling brush, then I build it up. This isn't a matte bronzer at all. It's a moisturizing lookijg bronzer. it adds a beautiful color to your face with a sheen. it's not glittery, but has a beautiful glowy finish. It also lasts all day. oh and beautiful packaging. Completely recommend. Kosas - The Sun Show Bronzer

💕For spottie hotties and lip gloss babes!🍬
My Topicals has been making its rounds on socials lately and creating such a buzz for being so strong on their stance on mental health and skincare. Their dynamic duo includes FADED an acne and hyperpigmentation gel and LIKE BUTTER an ultra-hydrating mask (or moisturizer!) Strong enough even for those with eczema (like me!!) I’ve only been using this for a week and so far I’m loving the experience. I apply like butter as a spot treatment to the eczema I experience on my face from wearing masks and it’s completely cleared it! Faded has a very strong smell but I’ve been sucking it up and reaping the rewards! Just a week in and I’ve seen a difference in breakout from maskne! These have been selling out like crazy, so if you happen to see it in stock GO FOR IT! And then we have Tower 28’s new milky glosses! 🥛 If you haven’t already tried T28’s Jelly gloss consider this your sign to do so. You guys, I already LOVED the formula before but these new milky colors are so soft, subtle, and gorgeous. It looks amazing against the summer light and will just as fabulous in the fall! They have 4 new gorgeous colors but these two are my fave (cashew is the browner color and coconut is the pinker one) The best part is that they are only $14!! For a clean beauty brand that is 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 *both products were given to me as samples but my opinion is my own.

Vitamin C Serums that are NOT worth the hype
✨I have sensitive combination skin that is acne prone. My skin concerns mainly revolve around acne and preventing breakouts when I can. I use Vitamin C to help protect my skin during the day and to help get rid of marks left over from acne. I love it as an ingredient and highly recommend trying it out but be careful when purchasing- not all are what they seem to be cracked up to be. 🍊 C-Firma by Drunk Elephant. The holy grail of NO for me when it comes to Vitamin C serums. But why do I hate this HIGHLY loved and hyped product? 🐘 First of all, this formula oxidizes at a highly fast rate, meaning the product becomes less and less effective faster. Secondly, the price of this for 1 oz is $80 which is actually outrageous and basically highway robbery. Thirdly, this product feels sticky once applied on the face, even when mixed and layered with other products which I cannot stand and it smells smokey like meat. BLEH. If you want something that maybe works for 3 months and are ok with having a sticky face and smelling smokey, then sure but this is not it for me. 🍍 Pineapple-C Brightening Serum by Glow Recipe. I decided to purchase it because it’s a clean brand and I was seeing it all over Instagram. Although I’ve seen some friends have success with this, this again isn’t a win for me. This is $49 for 1 oz which is way better than the previously mentioned serum. It has Vitamin C and AHAs with Hyaluronic Acid for hydration and pineapple juice to brighten skin. I wanted to like this so badly because of the lovely smell, ingredients and adorable glass packaging, but at the end of the day, this didn’t give me the results I was looking for. 🍊C15 by Paula’s Choice. Honestly I’m not sure how I feel about this one. It’s $49 as well but for .67 oz and I adore this brand but this has a shelf life of 3 months. Maybe that’s just the honestly of this brand vs Drunk Elephant but that’s a lot of product to get through in just 3 months! I want to try it again in the future. This also has Vitamin E and Ferulic Acid and this brand has yet to let me down but this expired too quickly for me personally so it’s on here too. If it’s that price point I want amazing results or a long shelf life. ☀️Although the above products didn’t work for me, they did lead me to discovering some serums that do. That list includes Very Cherry Bright by Farmacy and the Rose + Glow Vitamin C oil by Leah Skin which is my favorite. Another one I’m looking forward to trying is the Vitamin C by Allies of Skin. Ultimately, it’s about being patient and finding what works best for you!
Rare Beauty....concealer worth it? 👀
I’m a sucker for trying out new products and especially new brands! I want to form an opinion for myself and give a good review for everyone else. I heard about rare beauty and this concealer first on Instagram then went to Sephora to look at some reviews! This is definitely a trendy launch because the owner is Selena Gomez! Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer I genuinely needed a new concealer and the price appealed to me at $18, which is cheaper than most concealers at Sephora. I didn’t have extremely high expectations of the product, but I figured it would work well. I actually really like this concealer. It is super creamy and has really good pigment to it. It has very minimal creasing and I love the way it blends into the skin. I’ve only had for a few weeks but there are really no pitfalls for me on this one. I did buy the wrong shade for my skin when I have self tan on, but other than that I like this concealer! The applicator I think is also nice, it’s different! It is like a concave triangle almost which is easy to sweep across the skin. The before/after shows me before with a color-correcting product under my eye and a full face of foundation. The after is with the rare beauty concealer blended out. Overall, I was pleased with this product and would repurchase again! I recommend! #cheriepartner
Rare Beauty-Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer
This is one of my favorite affordable brands, they always have sales so every product is always $5 or less. I ordered 2 of the ”all about matt” pressed powder, it’s one of my holy grails. It’s a really nice powder, it sets my makeup, and one of my fave things is it gives me a matte look without my face looking dry. essence - All About Matt! Fixing Compact Powder The gel nail polish are super cute. They’re cheap and last a while too! I usually do 2 coats of color then a top coat and it last me about 2-3 weeks. Obviously if you do a lot of hands on things it’ll last a bit less. essence - Shine Last & Go! Gel Nail Polish The satin touch blushes are really nice. They’re really buildable so if you want a nice flush of color or really pigment cheeks, it’s totally doable. essence - Shine Last & Go! Gel Nail Polish I ordered 2 of the cutest eyeliner pens I’ve seen. I haven’t tried these so I’m excited to see how they are. The green one is called “mint rebel” and the yellow one is called “young & free”. Both colors are pastel. 🌸🌼 essence - Long-lasting Eyeliner Pen

Full face, but keep it natural 💋
Here are my favorite products for a natural full face of makeup! e.l.f. - Poreless Face Primer this primer is $5 and does the job. It has a slight which hazel scent to it and has a mousse like consistency that creates a blurring a smoothing effect to the skin. A little goes a long way so this purchase will last you a long time! I really like that this primer is lite weight and doesn’t feel to sticky on my face either, but still provides a good canvas for my foundation. MAYBELLINE - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer I use this concealer almost everyday to cover up any blemishes I may have going on or to correct redness as well. I use a shade that matches my skin exactly so I prefer to use this before I go in with my foundation to cover up what needs to me covered and provide an even color and coverage when I put down my foundation. tarte - Shape Tape Concealer of course I also use the infamous Shape Tape Concealer on glam days because of its coverage and how long it stays put. Sometimes I put this on before my foundation and sometimes I put it on after; it really just depends on my mood. I like to use this concealer as part of my contour to brighten the under eyes and some high points of my face. A little goes a long way to I rarely go into the tube for more product and honestly will takes some product off of the applicator sometimes so that I can slowly build up to how much product I actually want. Honestly though, there are concealers out there that are pretty good shoes that cost way less so I just bought this concealer as a treat to myself. If you’re on a budget I recommend the e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer because it’s $6, won’t budge, and has great coverage just like Shape Tape. wet n wild - MegaGlo Makeup Stick Conceal and Contour I bought this as an intro to contouring with creams and I really like it. It’s super smooth and in my opinion is fairly forgiving and won’t kill you if you mess up. This product comes in a few different shades and also has a blush. I only use a deeper shade for my contour and I really like how easy it is to blend out. I recommend using the stick directly on your face rather than rubbing a brush against it and then applying. I find this gives you more color pay off as well. Like the Shape Tape, sometimes I put this on before my foundation and other days after. I personally like putting it on before because if you go in too heavy then the foundation helps to even it out and I find it looks a lot more natural and has a smoother finish. laura mercier - Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 I’ve been using this for 5 years and haven’t budged on it! It’s a tinted moisturizer but is buildable and provides great coverage. It’s lite weight and I use a sponge to apply it. SPF is the perfect bonus!
