Closed Conedones.. let’s talk ✨ I’ve had these my whole life! I’m 17F so still battling it. These products have worked wonders. I have always used The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
and it was the only thing that helped my skin for months, but not enough. So I’ve tried so many products and during a pandemic I took the time to do research and landed on the rest. With the The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%
my bumps went away overnight last night, my first night trying it. And with OXY - Acne Medication With Benzoyl Peroxide
it kept my acne from forming and keeps my skin clean, it smells like pool water but don’t let that fool you! They all worked wonders for my oily bumpy skin.

Help me please :(
The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I used this product once before and noticed some tingling. I looked it up and others said it was normal. My skin felt smooth and fine after. I used it again recently a day ago and it was tingling once again. I only left it on for 8 minutes, rinsed it off with cold water and patted my skin dry. Then proceeded with my CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream and then around 3 minutes later I had noticed a stinging sensation that was lingering. I started to worry and looked up possible skin irritations associated with this product. I saw some people suffered chemical burns and started to worry even more 😥 to the point where I called my boyfriend and told him of my concerns. At this point it was already 11pm so I didn’t know what to do and ended up falling asleep. I woke up with my skin like this and it’s been like this all day. I can’t tell if it is getting better but yeah I’m scared guys 😔 Anyone know what this might be?? If it doesn’t seem like it’s getting better, I’m going to schedule an appointment with my dermatologist tomorrow.

Rate my routine!
Hey everybody! I recently joined this app and I’m so happy I did. I just started using these products on my normal to oily skin. Before this, I used to use DIFFERIN - Daily Refreshing Cleanser and OXY - Acne Medication With Benzoyl Peroxidebut I felt like it wasn’t doing the job. The first slide is my daily and nightly routine. The second slide is the face masks I use about once a week. I also use DIFFERIN - Acne Treatment Gel as a spot treatment, but I forgot to include it in the photo🤦‍♀️. The pads in the second slide only come in handy if I have a major breakout on my face (they do the job) and I only use the pad in that area. Otherwise, the Clearasil - Rapid Rescue Deep Treatment Pads are too strong for me and sting. Please give me all of your feedback! I love hearing from others and I want to make sure I’m on the right track❤️ @cherie

OXY FAVs For Acne, Oil, Dirt, and Pores 🤯
I love this brand! Their OXY - Acne Medication With Benzoyl Peroxide helped me through some hard times when I was younger and suffered from severe acne. The Benzoyl Peroxide in it really helped subdue my extreme breakouts. Now that I’m older my acne isn’t as severe and Salicylic Acid is enough to keep my breakouts at bay. 🌼OXY Volcanic Ash Acne Wash: This product works amazing for keeping my skin clear of breakouts. This is apart of my daily skincare routine. The charcoal in it draws out the dirt from my pores leaving my skin looking and feeling fresh. It has menthol in it, which I like, because it gives my face a tingly clean sensation. Beware not to get it too close to your eyes though. Menthol feels good on the skin but it’s not something that can be rinse out of your eyes you will have to wait until the tingling stops. 🌼OXY 3-in-1 Acne Pads: This product is super strong. It contains alcohol so I would not recommend for people with sensitive skin but if you have oily skin like me this is great for oil/dirt control. It also contains Salicylic Acid which is good for breakouts. This product can be super drying so I make sure to follow up with a hydrating moisturizer to add some moisture back into my skin.

The Ordinary Ultimate Guide to Mixing & Layering✨
There are a lot of myths about how to play with The Ordinary products. Some products you could mix and match, but some cannot. The followings are some notes that I took based on the research I did at Cassandra Bankson's Youtube Channel. I've also attached the link on the bottom. Hope you enjoy it.💞 Antioxidants: They don’t pair well with water. Don’t mix it with other products on your hands at the same time, and wait around 30 minutes to 1h to move to the next step of your skincare. Or you could use your antioxidants and contradictory products at opposite times a day, one in the morning and one in the evening.  The Ordinary - EUK 134 0.1%: Avoid mixing with Acids, Vitamin C, L Ascorbic Acid 100%, and Copper Peptides.  The Ordinary - Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%: avoid mixing with water-based formulas and Copper Peptides  The Ordinary - Pycnogenol 5%: derived from pine trees. The most stable and friendly product to play with others. Avoid mixing with water-based formulas and Copper Peptides. However, the Vitamin Cs, retinol, and niacinamide can be used with this product.  The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanseris good at everything.  The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution: use only once a day. Be careful with other acid products when you use it. Try not to use it with any retinol, won’t make either of them very effective. Avoid mixing with most antioxidants, The Buffet, Copper Peptides. If you really want to use peptides, you should use the toner first and let it soak into your skin for around 10 mins, and then go for the peptides.  Acids:  The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution: it’s very strong, don’t use it alongside with other acids. Avoid mixing with EUK 134, any peptides, and 100% L Ascorbic Acid. After rinsing it off, you can use Niacinamide & zinc, or any of the hyaluronic acid products. The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%: comes as a cream, which is more stable. Always patch test before putting on your face. Avoid mixing with EUK 134 and Copper Peptides. Ascorbic acid powder or non-copper peptides MIGHT also cause irritations. Except these, this plays well with pretty much everything else.  Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Mandelic Acid, and Salicylic Acid: avoid mixing with other acids, EUK 134, Copper Peptides, and 100% L Ascorbic Acid. Acid and Vitamin C can really sting and burn your skin.  All of the hydrators and oils really play well with other products, no contradictions at all.  The Ordinary - 100% Organic Virgin Sea-Buckthorn Fruit Oiland The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oilhave high amounts of beneficial properties to them. Pairing with a sunscreen if you want to use them during the day.  The Ordinary - Amino Acids + B5: avoid mixing with other strong acids.  More Molecules: The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA: this plays well with pretty much everything. Be aware of other antioxidants because it is a water base.  The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG: no contradictions. Water based serum.  The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%: avoid mixing with any Vitamin C products from the ordinary  Peptides: The Ordinary - "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1%: it doesn’t play well with anyone, specifically avoid mixing with acids, Vitamin C, and antioxidants. Same thing for the regular “buffet” even though it is much more stable.  Retinol: The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion: contains water, no antioxidants with it, except for the pine derived pycnogenol, which works very well with it.  Retinol in squalene: oil-based. All of the ordinary’s retinoids play very well with their peptides.  Sunscreen: NO contradictions 🎉🎉 Vitamin C: avoid mixing with EUK 134, other acids, any peptides, and Niacinamide. Great with other vitamin C and sunscreens.  Check the link below to watch more details from Cassandra.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fnrqHWLS_U And let me know if you have any questions or thoughts about The Ordinary products. 💖💖💖

Hit or miss?
Hit or miss?
After reading and watching the wonders this product was able to do, I did not hesitate to purchase it (and it was very cheap as well so I didn’t have a lot to think about). I used this for 4 months and after all the hype, did not see any major changes. My pores do seem a bit smaller, but the texture not only stayed but worsen; yes, my 13years old girl textured skin came back. Although I cannot blame my most likely hormonal and stress acne on this product, I must say it did not help it either. Apparently I’m not the only one, Niacinamide itself is great for your skin, but The Ordinary’s one seems to be a hit or miss, and in my case it was a clear miss.

This is a really great, affordable serum. I began using the ordinary a few years ago, way before you could purchase their products at Sephora or Ulta. This serum was one of the first products that I used from their brand, and it’s the one I’ve continued to repurchase. I use this serum in the morning as part of my skincare routine. It helps not only with controlling my acne, but is also great for oil control as I have very only skin, especially around my noise. I can definitely notice the difference when I’ve forgotten to apply this serum. You can grab it for $5.90 at Sephora or Ulta. I highly recommend it.

My thoughts on this......
My thoughts on this......
So I actually got this about 8 months ago (before it got super famous on tiktok) and I actually really disliked it at first. Cause when I used it the first couple times i used it at a time when my skin was pretty sensitive and it made my face all red and unhealthy looking. And I was like I’m never using this again. Ya so basically I’m really dumb😂 BUT I started using it recently for the past month or so and I’ve been really enjoying it! Just like when my pores feel really congested or I feel really oily this really helps to unclog them and it gives me a not a “squeaky clean” feeling but it makes me feel fresh if that makes sense😅. I haven’t seen any very dramatic changes in the appearance of my skin but it does help. Plus I think with this product it’s something that u have to use consistently to see really good life changing results. I do have to say tho my sister who has recently been struggling with acne and acne scarring this I have noticed has really been helping her with that. I can just see that her skin looks brighter and she has been getting less breakouts😊 Let’s get to how to use this: I use this 1 time a week because it’s VERY strong and I leave it on for 10mins max. I do not recommend this if you have very sensitive, cracked or dry skin. as I said before this is a VERY strong chemical exfoliant so if you have not used chemical exfoliants before I DEFINITELY do not encourage you to use this. Just know just cause something is trending or has helped other people it does not always mean it will work for you cause everyone has different skin. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

Oil control serum for my acne prone babes!
Oil control serum for my acne prone babes!
The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum: the blemish and pore decongesting serum blend of my dreams. This is a pretty concentrated and potent serum meant to be the solutions for oiliness and pore congestion for all skin types. This is a high strength vitamin and mineral blemish formula with 10 percent pure niacinamdie and one percent zinc PCA to balance sebum production. She is a very lightweight water-texture serum that absorbs into the skin nicely. I am currently on my 5th bottle of this product and will probably repurchase until I am old and no longer have acne issues. I do find myself going through this product pretty quickly, but at 5.90USD for a 1oz bottle, I cant complain. I think this is a perfect serum for anyone struggling with acne, oiliness, PIH or other acne scarring, and congestion. I do find the zinc in this formula especially helpful for my cystic acne and helps to heal it quickly or keep it at bay altogether. I love how well the niacinamide tends to brighten any red PIH spots that I am struggling with. I typically use this AM and Pm, for best results, mixed into another hydrating serum because it does have a tendency to pill. If I mix it in with another product, it does play well with the rest of my routine and layers well under makeup. I do not have any problems with this being drying or irritating. This serum has no color or smell to it, also only includes clean ingredients. I highly recommend this product! The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

The ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Pore minimizing serumsThe Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% $5.90 Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) is indicated to reduce the appearance of skin blemishes and congestion. A high 10% concentration of this vitamin is supported in the formula by zinc salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid to balance visible aspects of sebum activity. I was super sceptical that something so inexpensive could actually work. All my life, I've had oily skin and prone to breakouts. My mother recommended this to me and I thought, why not? I've tried literally everything else. It took a couple weeks, but wow. My face has never looked better. It looks clearer, brighter, and I feel less oily during the day. Try it. You'll be amazed.

Pore Minimizing BHA serum!
Pore Minimizing BHA serum!
The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Solution This is the Ordinary’s 2% Salicylic Acid Serum. This product works best for oily to dry skin. It contains salicylic acid and witch hazel to help treat acne and blemishes as well as reduce uneven texture and the appearance of pores. The brand recommends patch testing before using and wearing sunscreen after use since the product can be quite strong for sensitive skin types. The texture of this is similar to most serums with a sort of thin consistency that dries down fairly quickly. I will say that when I do rub this product into the skin it tends to sort of turn white and almost foam up, but nothing major really happens. Overall, I do like this product, I think that it has worked well with my skin and helping to reduce the look of pores as well as help to reduce acne. I find that with this product its best to slowly incorporate it into my routine rather than just going straight into applying it everyday. I also think that with this product, consistency is key to making it work. For the first few weeks, I didn’t notice much difference, but then I stopped breaking out as much and I’m pretty sure this is the secret. I think that this is a great product with it’s low price and it’s effectiveness for my skin. I would especially recommend this to someone who deals with more under the skin pimples like me.
