MY FAV LIPSTICK COLORS ❤️ #CheriePartner
Hey Y’all! So I am 100% a gloss person but on occasion I like a good lipstick! I’m not a fan of super bright colors I generally stick to nudes but I do like a good red or burgundyish lipstick. So today I’m gonna show you two lipsticks that I really love! I have lips that dry out pretty often. My favorite lip moisturizer is this Lip Oil from Burts Bees.BURT’S BEES - Hydrating Lip Oil With Sweet Almond Oil

MartinaBealsI’m definitely a gloss girl myself unless it’s a special occasion. Thanks for this post, I was going back and forth on trying the lip oil and I’ll be picking it up tomorrow!

Lip care 💋💋👄
When I was a teen I didn’t take care of my lips properly. The only time I would apply chapstick is when my lips would feel dry, cracked, or sore. But hey, now I make sure I take care of my lips. Let’s get into it. BURT’S BEES - Hydrating Lip Oil With Sweet Almond Oil I like this but it doesn’t do the job by itself. Once I apply it feels dry after a while so every second I have to reapply. When I pair it with my cocoa palmers swivel stick it feels hydrating because the oil is locking in that moisture. I don’t like the smell I just wanted to try something new. You can get this at any local Walmart for $3. PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick I have been using this for a while now and I love love love it. Y’all can tell I have had this for a while because the wording has rubbed off but a little goes a long way. This gets the job done every time, it’s my go to for when my lips starts to feel dry. My lips stay moisturized for a while and I don’t have to reapply it every second. You can get this at your local Walmart for around $3as well. It didn’t pull up the night balm by okeeffes. I’ve been using for a week. Man it’s like my lips are in heaven, I have never felt my lips so soft. Like as soon as you apply it you can tell that it going to make your lips feels soft. My lips stayed hydrated the entire night. Woke up with plump hydrated juicy lips. Y’all should give this a try. Also you can find this at your local Walmart. The spf one is great as well. I bought because I thought it would be cool to try out a spf lip chap. Guilty lol 🤷🏼♀️. It keeps my lips moisturize. Man I see okeeffes products are the bomb dot come because I have there hand cream and I talked about that and I’m almost out 😩. Really affordable as well. Let me know if you guys give it a try.

Second love affair..
The classic Mac, lip liner/pencil. Believe it or not, I've been using Mac's lip liners since the end of highschool! I'm talking 15,17, 18 years! What I do, as a hardcore makeup lover, a smart shopper & to always have what I need, on hand. Buy classic colors. So, one red. One plum. One on the nose side or pink. Most of my lipsticks are either red or plum. All different shades, but one mac plum lip liner, or red etc (at least for me) match every other plum lipstick. So stuck with one main lip liner shade in each category, matching what you wear. I have one red 1 plum/wine and 1 in the softer side I'd consider nudes. And whether I'm wearing covergirl lipstick, or NYX.. I never need to spend even more money to buy yet another lip liner. I've had this problem with other lip liner brands. But at least for myself, I find ma's liner pretty amazing in the fact that they match almost 100% of my lipstick shades. As long as I have one per category of main color. I dont bother buying any pink, as I dont wear pink, I wont and wont waste money.MAC - MAC Lip Pencil
INTERVIEW MAKEUP + TIPS TO GETTING THE JOB💼✨
HOW I DID MY MAKEUP FOR INTERVIEWS + TIPS TO GETTING THE JOB I have been on the search for a new job for sometime now. I am a fairly recent graduate with little experience and plus being in a global pandemic it has been challenging to find the right fit. Throughout my research on how to look presentable during interviews, here are some tips I gathered that helped me get multiple job offers. Less is more: •Makeup: Now I am not a fan of this saying because I love being extra with contour, and big lashes, etc. but when you are doing makeup for an interview less is more. The interviewer’s main focus is going to be listening to what you can bring to their company. If they are distracted by glittery eyes or a bright pink lip they might not be fully listening to what you have to offer. I would recommend to stick to a more “conservative” look with a clean makeup base, minimal eye makeup and possibly a lip color that you feel comfortable in. •Hair: When choosing the right hairstyle for an interview, you still want to keep in mind that your face will be the main focus. With that being said, you do not want to take away from what you are saying by any hair distractions. It would be best to keep your hair pulled back and out of the way so it does not cause any interferences. (Especially if you play with your hair, that could be a big distraction away from what you are saying.) If wearing your hair down or a bright lip color makes you feel confident then I would go for it. Ultimately you want to be comfortable with how you look so that confidence can transfer over well into your interview Dress the part: Companies want to see if you are a good fit by imagining yourself in the role. When you dress the part you are saving them this step. If they can see you professionally as one of their own, it will be easier for them to determine if you are a good fit. I would recommend sticking to basic/neutral colors and solid pieces. Blazers are always a good choice when it comes to layering and they make me feel more professional and confident going into an interview. Again, like mentioned before, wear what you feel most comfortable in. Check your background: This tip has nothing to do with your actual physical image but I still think it’s important to mention now that a lot of interviews are being conducted over video-call platforms. I recommend choosing a background with MINIMAL clutter and possibly adding greenery into the scene. If none of this is possible, opt for a neutral-solid color background. You can even hang up an ironed white sheet if necessary. Also, make sure there will be minimal noise distractions wherever you are interviewing. If you live with others, make sure you let them know that you will be interviewing so no distractions can occur. SMILE & relax: Unless you are applying to a job where you do not need to be friendly… SMILE. It looks good to see that you are friendly and confident in the way you carry yourself. Also, it is important to relax and don't let the nerves get the best of you. • Psych tips: ◦Even if you mess up, if you are still smiling you can trick the interviewer into thinking you still have yourself composed. ◦The feeling of excitement and fear are SO closely related that you can turn one of those feelings into the other. When I get very anxious I like to tell myself I’m actually excited and it will help calm my nerves. Makeup used: •foundation:Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation •contour:MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - O!Mega Bronzer Coconut Perfect •blush: bareMinerals - bareMinerals Loose Powder BlushI like this blush because it has a little bit of shimmer in it and acts as a highlighter as well •mascara:Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara •false lashes: (custom) •lips: MAC - MAC Lip Pencil in ‘subculture' I hope these tips were helpful and good luck if you are in the interviewing process!
Sephora Hello ! 👋 Why You Need it!
I have always been interested in sample size kits of products before i splurge on any product. & i found this randomly on sephora & immediately it caught my eye. This sephora kit has 6 products from cleanser to perfume everything u would want especially while traveling & it’s priced at an unbelievable 10$ in addition to that all the brands have some amazing skincare reviews. Priced at 10$ it is definitely a steal u would have to try before it’s gone & also when i purchased this sephora had a FREESHIP coupon code for free shipping which means I don’t have to spend anything extra just to avoid shipping charges !😝 (let me know if you do the same) I have shown all the products in the kit & also they have a special 15% discount code if you end up wanting to splurge on any full size product from this sample. Happy Shopping 🛍 Xoxo💋
Any of you would have at least heard of NYX Lip Products, if you don't already own multiple shades in your makeup collection. You can't go wrong with lip products that have stood the test of time. I always found myself go back to these because they're beyond comfortable to wear, but actually hang around for a decent length of time given how soft they go onto the lips. The #LipLingerie is more matte and stays longer than #SoftMatteLipCream. And the #ButterGloss provides a glossy look without being too overstated. Right, let's talk about my favorite shades. There's no surprise that SMLC "Abu Dhabi" is the one that sings to me the most (a deep rose-beige color). It's easy; it's not too brown, pink, or orange and is a nude that 'looks good on everyone' shade. If you're in the market for a nude that's not too pale I'd point you in the direction of that one. SMLC "Shanghai" is a little rosier than what I usually go for and it's definitely something I'd reach for to add a pinch of color to my look. If we're talking real color though then it's LIPLI "Seduction" that has got me going all heart-eye emoji. It's a reddish brown shade and it makes my whole complexion looks more alive even with just the most simple eye makeup. So there you have it, some shades I highly suggest you have a swatch-party next time you head to a NYX counter.
✨👄 SATIN Lips Trend!
There are so many ways and looks for your lips. For me, I tend to be active most of the time and when I go out, I lean towards a natural lip color and look. The satin lips look is a great final addition to a make-up look that is not too fussy, or to balance bold smoky eyes which I love as well. The look is a natural look that has a luxurious satin-matte and hydrating soft finish on the lips. To create this lip look, I start with using a lip balm on the lips. My go-to lip balm now is the 100% natural EOS sphere lip balm infused with wild-grown shea butter and hydrating coconut and jojoba oils that feels so moisturizing and heals dry lines on my lips. I use this every other hour everyday. It can also be conveniently found in most drugstores and supermarkets at a low price. eos - Super Soft Shea Lip Balm Triple Mint To make my lips look more defined and last longer, I go over my moisturized lips with the NYX Professional Makeup Suede Matte Lip Liner in Soft-Spoken. The velvety, matte lip glides on effortlessly and stays on for a few hours. For its low price of $3.99, it is value for money as it stays on for a few hours well. While it did not survive food and drink, that is fine as I usually will touch up after a meal. Still, it provides a hint of color and base for my lipstick to create a creamy and moisturized satin lip look. The lip liner is also vegan and scentless which is a plus for me. NYX - Suede Matte Lip Liner To top off my lips with color, I use cult product Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk. Formulated with nourishing ingredients like vitamin E, safflower seed oil, corn oil and lipstick tree oil, the lipstick allows my lips to stay hydrated and creamy looking. Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipstick Antioxidants and orchid extracts in the lipstick formula also leave my lips looking youthful with a long-lasting wash of colour. I really like the square angled tip that mimics the shape of a lip brush for precise application. The color is simply flattering for most skin color! The neutral rose blush shade enhances the natural hue of my lips for a gorgeous fuller pout. For the price of $34, I find that it’s higher than some lipstick brands but thisbest-selling lipstick is a must-have in every purse in my opinion. To apply, roll the lip color straight from the bullet all over moisturized and lined lips.

‘Sephora Give Me Some Nudes Set’ - Worth It? 🤷
I love a nude lip – it’s a go-to for me, whether my makeup is simple for the everyday or all-out glam. I picked up the Sephora ‘Give Me Some Nudes’ Lip Kit recently, as it features five big-brand nude lip products, all in different textures and finishes – perfect for a nude-lip aficionado like me. In the kit, you receive a full-size HUDA BEAUTY Liquid Matte Lipstick in Trendsetter; a mini MAKE UP FOREVER Artist Liquid Matte Lipstick in 105; a full-size stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Carmello; a medium-size Buxom Lip Polish in Dolly; and a tiny Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Color Splash Hydrating Lipstick in Beach Babe. In terms of the products I liked – the Buxom lip-gloss has a beautiful shimmer, and has become the perfect gloss for taking on nights out: it’s thick and doesn’t dry out too quickly, and makes a nice alternative for my usual matte liner. The Tarte lipstick is super cute, and a lovely light nude: again, this is a lipstick I reach for to go inside my clutch. The HUDA liquid lip is extremely drying, and a very dark, ashy nude – almost verging on a purple. It doesn’t suit me at all, and unfortunately is left gathering dust: a shame for such a big brand name. Again, the Stila lip isn’t the right shade for me: it’s a shame that the full-size products aren’t something I’d reach for. The Make Up Forever mini is fine, and I pop it in my handbag if I’m nipping out – but it’s never something I’d use everyday. Is the kit worth it? I enjoyed trying all the different brands, but I think for the $60 price tag, if you’re not keen on the full-size products – or some of the minis – it’s a risky gamble. Personally, I wouldn’t buy again – sorry, Sephora!
Mac Must Haves
Makeup artists swear by MAC and you should too! As one of the most well-known names in the industry, MAC leads by example when it comes to all things makeup and it really doesn’t get more iconic than a MAC Lipstick. From the matte Ruby Woo to the classic Velvet Teddy, there is a shade to suit all skin tones and occasions. The lipstick themselves come in a wide variety of shades, textures and finishes depending on the feel you like, so if you prefer a creamier formula over a matte, you’ll be able to find one. Many people collect the lipsticks and some people have crazy collections of 50+. If you’re new to MAC here are the 4 absolute must haves to start your collection.MAC - Ruby Woo Lip Duo This iconic, matte red is an absolute must have in your collection - bright, bold and will last all day. I like the texture of the lipstick but as it is so matte sometimes it's nice to mix with a little lipgloss to ensure your lips don’t become too dry. Try toning down the rest of your makeup to really make Ruby Woo pop!MAC - MAC Matte Lipstick My absolute favourite MAC lipstick would have to be Velvet Teddy. A light brown colour with a slight red undertone and suits almost everyone I have seen wearing it! It’s a classic everyday neutral colour and compliments most makeup styles.MAC - MAC Satin Lipstick This lipstick has a satin formula and is extremely nourishing on the lips whilst also adding a light nude pop. If you’re new to MAC this is a great starter lipstick. A little goes a long way with this shade and will last you a long time.MAC - MAC Matte Lipstick Pink to make the boys wink! This lipstick is a cool toned, pink matte finish lipstick. This is a great ‘in between’ lipstick and can easily be transitioned from day to night. It has a creamy formula so it feels nourishing but tends to sink into the lips or remove due to drinking and eating so will need to be topped up throughout the day.

New Favorite Matte Lip + Shop Black Owned 🤞🏻
Me again, back at it with a matte lip 🤪 I talked about The Lip Bar on here only a bit ago & ran right back to try more of their products because I enjoyed the gloss so much & they do not disappoint!! The smashbox - Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick has been my ride or die for years, but now this the Lip bar - the Lip bar Liquid Matte Lipstick might take the cake! 📍My complexion: Light with red/pink undertones 📍Shade Range: Reds, oranges, purples, pinks, & nudes galore 😍 📍Texture: Soft & creamy!!! Dries down nice & slow instead of instantly which I find is nice to clean up mistakes 📍Claims: “Our best selling lip category. Liquid matte lipstick goes on like gloss, dries matte and lasts all day - without drying your lips out.” 📍Dollas: $12.99 for 0.24oz ✅ My experience: I like to address the drying claims first bc matte lipstick is always gonna be drying no matter what they say, it’s all about the lip prep 👌🏻 That being said, this goes on really creamy & dries down slowly which I actually love! I’m used to the Smashbox drying almost immidiately and the extra time to clean it up & make it perfect is good for someone like me who constantly goofs on lipstick application! I was definitely impressed with the lasting power and color payoff of this. The formula is insanely good and makes matte lipstick sooo much easier to use! I’m also a big fan of the price point when compared to the Smashbox I love which is literally double the price at $24. I only have this product in the shade Unimpressed (rosey nude) but really want to try some others. You can tell that the brand formulates their shades to compliment a wide range of complexions and advertises every shade on diverse models so you can see how it looks on the skin closest to yours! We love ad and swatch diversity 👏🏻 They also have a super short test that recommends shades for your skin tone on their website if you’re having trouble choosing!! I am officially a big ass fan of The Lip Bar & will start testing out their face products too! *the last picture is this matte lip, Unimpressed, layered with the Lip Bar’s gloss in ‘Trophy Wife’ #CherieCreator #ShopBlackOwned #mattelip

Best Liquid Lip
I love long lasting lip colors but the one’s I’ve used in the past would ALWAYS dry my lips out and I just would not be comfortable with it. I decided to try this one out a few years ago and I must say its one of my all time favorites!! Its affordable, long-lasting and not drying at all! I love how I can eat a burger without thinking it may transfer to my chin (haha) Do I recommend? MOST DEFINITELY!!! Texture: creamy consistency that has amazing pigment 🤩 wet n wild - MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick
