Hi lovelies 💕 Here is what I’ve been using for the past few months and I just want to say - a very simple routine goes a long way. Cleanser: your skin should feel clean after you wash your face, but it shouldn’t feel ‘squeaky’. I think there are no need to use cleanser with active ingredients and acids as they strip your skin of your natural oils & pretty much leave your skin irritated. Gentle cleanser works best for me. I normally cleanse 1 time in the morning, and 2 times at night. Serum: I always apply serums while my skin is still wet. I don’t dry my face with a towel all the way, better yet, let your skin dry on its own and apply your serums while the skin it a bit wet. I warm up my serum in my hands for 2 seconds before I apply it to my face. This specific serum from Vichy is great, and it is safe to use on your eyes so I apply it everywhere. Moisturizer: something I did not know when I was younger - no matter what your skin type is, moisturize. Find a moisturizer that works for you and apply it every.single.day. I had a bit of an oily skin growing up and thought a moisturizer would make it more oily and would clog pores, so I skipped that step completely. After trying a bunch of creams/moisturizers/lotions, I am now using the most simple one you can find in any store, and it does it’s job perfectly for me and does not clog my precious pores. I highly recommend a simple moisturizer during the day, no active ingredients needed. SPF: simply a must. Don’t skip it. I wear SPF even when I’m at home as the sun could still get it. Another mistake that I made when I was younger is not wearing SPF which made my PIH worse. I use this ultra light SPF which is non-comedogenic and creates a very good base for makeup. This combo of lotion + SPF is my favourite as they feel light on the skin and they don’t ‘roll’ on the surface. PM: this is where these active ingredients come in handy. Choosing your night treatment is very important as this is when you can address what concerns you the most and the treatment will soak right into your skin and will sit there overnight while you sleep 😴 making your $ count as PM treatments get pricey and you want to get the most of using them. My concerns are PIH and dark spots, niacinimide works very well for me. This very simple PM lotion from Cerave is very effective if you struggle from PIH, I highly recommend it 👍🏼 Don’t forget to drop your suggestions for me in the comments ❤️
Accutane = complete!
I have finished my round of accutane and wanted to share with everyone! The bottom photos is what I look like after applying my skincare that I have below. My skin definitely loves it! I still have some scarring to deal with but I am no longer having any breakouts! My skincare routine: spectro - Jel Cleanser I absolutely love this cleanser. I used this while on Accutane and I did not have any problems with it so this will be my go to cleanser now. dermalogica - Multi-Active Toner I’ve been using this for about a month and my skin is loving this! I spray this on damp skin to really hydrate my skin. OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Serum I use this because this is really the only vitamin c serum I have used. If anyone has a recommendation let me know! dermalogica - Stress Positive Eye Lift MaskI haven’t rated this because I just started using this. Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion I’ve been using this for months and I actually love this! I also mix a few drops of The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil with it to lock everything in. I finished off with Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 I actually love this sunscreen!
January 11, 2021 My skin was not the greatest. It overall got so bad and honestly I was eating so much junk food, drinking not a lot of water and skipping out on my skin routine because I was lazy. After 2 weeks my skin has just a few pimples but overall makes me feel confident. January 24, 2021 I stayed with my regular skin routine: CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion Avène - CLEANANCE SUNSCREEN SPF 50+ And just trusted the process and tried to not pick on them. I am super happy with how I’ve recently managed my skin and all I needed to do was stick to what i should do and continue doing that. > I drink 1500ml+ a day >Started to workout daily, even for just a few minutes > And felt more confident I have a hard time maintaining healthy skin but I will continue improving my diet, drinking more water and etc... I got so mad but I needed to love myself no matter what because, acne just makes you even more beautiful. I have learned to love myself and I’m happy with who I’ve become throughout this 2 week journey.
Worth the hype? Best hyaluronic serum?
VICHY - Minéral 89 Face Serum It seems that everyone has been raving about this product and rightfully so. It is light weight and can easily incorporate into your day/ night skincare routine. This serum’s base is mineral rich volcanic water—89% to be exact, and contains “15 skin-loving minerals including iron, potassium, calcium, and manganese that work to moisturize skin, re-balance its pH, and protect against pollutants.” — Vichy Another bragging point, is that this product contains only 11 ingredients — clean, allergy tested, dermatologist tested , and Vegan. We all know what an amazing ingredient hyaluronic acid is for our skin—plumps and retain moisture. And this product does just that. It’s so simple and I would definitely recommend this for friends that have very sensitive skin. The only set back about this brand (in general) is that I’m not 100% sure of their cruelty free status. According to their site they do not test on animals but it seems that they currently sell/ market their products in China — which requires animal testing. Maybe this is old news? And if not, hopefully one day that’ll change. So I use it and love it with hesitation and I’m not sure if I would repurchase after I finish the bottle. Maybe I’ll change my mind- who knows. If that (cruelty-free status) is not a factor when you buy/ use cosmetics than go for it! It is $30 and it’s super accessible- available on Ulta*, CVS, Walgreens, Vichy.com, Skinstore.com. If you find yourself on a budget, get it at CVS. There’s always a sale and of course coupons. ** Ulta has them in 3 sizes. Here are some hyaluronic acid serums that are confirmed 🐰cruelty-free: THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum GOOD MOLECULES - Hyaluronic Acid Serum The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Please share your favorites below. Thank you. Be Kind, Stay Beautiful
Why to Add HA Serum to your Routine
The Ordinary’s Hyaluronic Acid serum is a cult favourite. It has won an Allure Beauty Award in 2019. It retails for only $6.80 CAD. When winter came and I was noticing that my skin was feeling dry by midday it was an easy decision to add it to my routine! Claims It is a pure vegan hyaluronic acid that includes low, medium and high molecular weight hyaluronic acid, at a concentration of 2%. It is supported by Vitamin B5 for enhanced hydration. It targets dryness. Good for all skin types. Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Hyaluronic Acid helps plump fine lines and improves elasticity and dryness. It’s a great addition to your skincare routine once you are in your 30s to help with hydration, as the amount of HA in our skin decreases as we get older. HA is sugar that is found naturally in our skin. It can hold 1000x its weight in water. Eating a diet with lots of fruits & vegetables with antioxidants can also help us retain HA. HA can we found in HA serums, an addition to serums with other actives, and creams. HA plays well with most other ingredients. A cream or serum with HA in different molecular weights allows it to seep into different layers of skin. HA are typically less expensive than other serums such as Vit C. It works best when applied to a damp face or before a water-based serum or moisturizer because it pulls the water into your skin. Otherwise it could pull the water out of your skin. My Experience The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The serum is clear and easily applies. I don’t experience any tackiness. When I first introduced this product to my routine I was using it AM & PM as it recommends, but I started noticing some irritation, red cheeks. I read some people can experience irritation from HA. I scaled back to only using in the AM. I put it on directly after my cleanser and before my Vit C serum. No more irritation. I have noticed that the dryness I was experiencing by midday is gone but I can’t say that I’ve noticed any difference in fine lines or wrinkles. A HA serum with more molecular weights and a higher percentage might have better results. But for $7 I can’t complain. Other HA to try include: VICHY - Minéral 89 Face Serum GLOW RECIPE - Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid SerumPAULA'S CHOICE - Hyaluronic Acid Booster

let’s talk neck care!
Neck and décolletage care! This type of skin care isn’t addressed as much, but it’s still an important step of skincare! I never really thought about it while I was addressing my face skin concerns, but I once read that it was good to bring your skincare products down to your neck, so I started doing that about 8 months ago. I think my neck lines are partly genetic, but they’re also due to how often I sit in bed staring at my phone, thus creating deeper lines on my neck. I wish I had a picture from 8 months ago, but my neck was pretty wrinkly, it had really deep horizontal neck lines that I couldn’t get rid of even if I stretched my neck. While I still have some horizontal lines on my neck, they’re certainly less visible than they were before. So what do I do exactly? I really don’t do much besides bring my toners, serums, sunscreen, and moisturizers down to my neck, and I massage it in in an upward direction. So with the product on my hands, I start to massage from the base of my neck up to my chin. I do this until I feel like the product has been absorbed. Massaging the product in an upward direction will help smooth the skin and prevent drooping. I certainly did not see results immediately. In fact, it took at least 6 months of doing this little massage every morning and night to see some change. I really just stuck to it and ended up doing it out of habit for many months, then one day I realized my neck looked much smoother than it was before. Here are some of the products I’ve been using on my neck (I usually use these on my face too): innisfree - Cica Toner with Bija Seed Oil innisfree - Green Tea Moisture-Balancing Toner CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Serum Kate Somerville - Liquid ExfoliKate Triple Acid Resurfacing Treatment FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil

These are my AM skincare routine products ATM.
CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser — 👍🏻 for when your feeling the need for a really gentle cleanser that you know has great ingredients behind it. Downside, after using it for along time in conjunction with the Burts Bee’s Cleansing Oil (discontinued use), i was having a reaction while double cleansing, ultimately, the fragrance in the Burt’s Bee’s was to blame. COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser This is a newer edition to my routine, and my first time using Kbeauty. I was throw off a bit by the smell but it’s not as loaded with fragrance as the last product. So far the results aren’t huge but I have noticed fewer texture irregularities, and it seems when I do have break outs they are shorter lived. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 love this stuff. My skin was so so dry, and dull, this baby came into my life and no more. And The Ordinary is so wonderful to make their products so affordable and attainable! The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA at first my skin needed more than this and I got frustrated, but now I love this stuff because it’s perfect for my daytime routine when I have sunscreen and primer and what not, but it’s also nourishing as well. The Ordinary - Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% just started using this guy, but with sunscreen it’s a match made in heaven. In only a week I see a slight difference in tone and brightness already,. The grittiness is slightly off putting but the smell is lovely at least. GARNIER - Ultra Fluid SPF 60 this is a bit runny to apply which some may not like, but it sets up nice, kind of glowy with the vitamin c underneath. No cast or anything because it’s not a cream, but it’s also not a mineral sunscreen. e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face Cream 🙌🏻 when you need that extra hydration, this has you covered, I swear.
Needing some advice on which products I should use for dark spots and minmizing pores! I have oily and acne prone skin My current routine is... CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Mist Curology - Curology formula Curology - The Moisturizer The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% pixi - Vitamin-C Serum (only use once in a while) ORIGINS - Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gel (only when needed) please help😊😊
Healing acne and leftover scarring
In high school, I never had problematic skin. It wasn’t until I became an adult that acne presented itself and it was everywhere. My forehead, chin, cheeks, neck, etc. I felt really ugly and would put makeup on to hide everything. I never left the house unless I had a full face. As silly as it sounds, it does put a toll on your mental health and self worth. After years of trying these products that promised me the world, I decided that I was going to go back to the basics and I started using 3 products. Yes, just 3 products. I used Cerave hydrating facial cleanser, zapzyt acne treatment gel and cerave daily moisturizing lotion. I really started to notice a huge difference with my acne cleaning up. From there, I slowly added active ingredients like the ordinary’s niacinamide and zinc as well as Sunday Riley’s Luna to help with my scarring as well as supergoop’s sunscreen. My skin is not perfect, but it has come a long way.
First Skin Update!
Here’s a no make-up selfie for the record! I just started to change my skin routine a couple of days ago so there’s not a ton of difference to see yet. Mostly a lot of the inflammation and redness has been majorly calmed down, thanks to The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and skipping the harsh physical exfoliants I used to use. My main concern is healing acne, decongesting my skin and pores, and repairing and protecting from further damage. As my skin is very sensitive, calming and non-irritating products are a must! I’m hoping to see overall less redness and swelling as I change my skin routine. Products currently in my routine: 🌿 CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin 🌿 BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Cleansing Water 🌱 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 🌱 THE inkey LIST - Q10 Antioxidant Serum 💦 THE inkey LIST - Multi-Biotic 💦 CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ 🌞 Avène - Mineral Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50+ There are a few other serums and masks I have but I’m trying not to use anything for a few days while my skin gets used to the new things I’ve added, just in case any irritation develops. I’ll be sure to make updates on how some of these have been working, and which ones I’ll be phasing out. Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried any of these products, or if you have some recommendations for others! 🖤⛓🌿

AM Routine - Dry skin, pores and acne scars
1. PAULA'S CHOICE - RESIST Perfectly Balanced Foaming Cleanser obsessed with this cleanser 2. BIOLOGIQUE RECHERCHE - Lotion P50 I have read a lot about the magic of this product, I think it works well but haven’t seen the amazing results people describe. Smell is strong but you get used to it 3. PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Booster just started this AM/PM but like it so far, some acne scars have lessened 4. CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Radiance Serum The Brightening Solution don’t see any changes with incorporating the product, but the smell is fresh and the consistency is light 5. PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster this is really helping clear my skin 6. Avène - Skin Recovery Cream I’ve tried thousands of moisturizers and this is my favorite. It goes on super light, soaks in quickly and has no smell. Highly recommend 7. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 60 Face Sunscreen for Combination Skin SPF 60 usually sunscreens break me out but this one has been relatively innocuous. It also sets in rather quickly. Can sometimes leave a white-ish residue so need to blend in well

Morning Routine! ✨
Hello Cherie 👋🏻 Figured my first post would be best as a morning routine post! I like to keep products at a minimum since I’ve found, through trial & error, that less is definitelyyyy more. 1. First, I wash my face with cold water No cleanser here; I think I do well enough with cleansing at night & find it dries out my ~already dry~ skin if I were to cleanse twice a day. 2. Clean&Clear Persa-gel 10 I’ve been using this for quite some time now on my cheeks & around my mouth to help with fighting acne. I think (🤷🏻♀️) it works ??¿¿ I mean, no acne soooo (🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️) 3. Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer with SPF 50 for Sensitive Skin I JUST switched to this moisturizer as I had been using the chemical based version and since the switch I’ve been experiencing EXTREMELY dry skin. Don’t know if it’s the drastic change to hot weather or the switch from chemical to mineral based formula. Let me know what you think!

Only my acne scars are left! 👏🏻😆
I feel like all the extra time spent on this app and the many videos I watched of Hyram finally helped me, along with the products of course. 😩😆 -Thanks for reading me in advance- I am going to start with my regular routine and then I will add the extra products that I use not so often. 🤗 My night and day routine are the same, the only difference is during the day I add the sunscreen so I can be protected. I began with a micellar cleanser Aveeno - Positively Radiant, Micellar Gel Cleanser is so gentle to my skin and I do notice the glow after using it. This gel cleanser has rich soy and kiwi complex that leaves my skin feeling hydrated after using it. I proceed with my Bioré - Witch Hazel Pore Clarifying Cooling Cleanser I know many of you ladies mention that Hazel can be very bad for your skin if you use it very often, but I am feeling the extra salicylic acid that is added to this product very helpful for me. I will soon change this product for another one effective as this one. I apply my moisturizer from cerave is the CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion I use the same for day and night lol I find out my skin reacts better to the product when there is no sunscreen added to it. But this product has been helping me to restore my protective skin barrier very well. With the extra ceramides, niacinamide and the Hyaluronic acid this products makes the miracle lol After that I would apply the Clearasil - Rapid Rescue Spot Treatment Cream to any pimples that I feel that are coming out to fight them off and get them OUT! 😂 This benzoyl peroxide acne medication can give you VISIBLE RESULTS IN 4HOURS! And I can promise you that you will ended up with your pimple smaller and the next day dried up. 😳 And then I set everything up with my GARNIER - SkinActive Soothing Facial Mist with Rose Water because hey! Don’t judge me. I feel my products work better if I add my aloe Vera. Yesss I use the aloe vera one. *The extra products that I use not so often are The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I use this one 3 times every week. This has been the game changer to my skin care routine. My blemishes and my dark spots has been minimize because of this guy. CeraVe - Skin Renewing Retinol Cream Serum I use this 3 times a week as well. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 this product hydrates my face after using the peeling solution. 🥰 And finally my sunscreen CeraVe - Hydrating Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 50 be careful it leaves a white face lol. 😳 Thanks for reading me. 🥰❤️ If you know any good product to avoid breakouts let me know! 😃😆
