I kicked out Kiehl’s for Peter Thomas Roth: Mask Time!
Buying new stuff back home is so satisfying but also bit guilty when facing the old love left in the corner. I love masks so much, like, all kinds of them are just so adorable in different ways. For me, the wash-off mask has an indestructible position in my heart, and you can really see their effect if you also have combo/oily skin like me. Dead skin and dirt are pretty annoying, especially when putting on makeup. That’s why we need these masks! I knew this since I was in high school, and there were a lot of commercials about it. It purifies, tightens skin, removes dead skin and minimizes pore. Sounds well-rounded, right? The plastic jar is filled with greyish mud blended with Amazonian white clay; it is quite thick and a bit rough and hard to smooth on the skin. I use it twice a week and I really can deeply clean my skin by removing all dead skin since it is washed off with a cloth when it dries. That ritual hurts a little but it works at least. Even for tough skin like me, my face still gets red and goes back to normal slowly every time I use it. This mask is in a large jar, so I guess the price is quite worth the money. Then I see this in Sephora and I got caught by the “three-in-one” result it promotes (it always gets me). Since my Kiehl’s mud is running out soon, I gotta bring this babe back to try. It contains pumpkin enzyme to exfoliate, alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) to peel, and aluminium oxide to polish. Its pumpkin color and scent are just so cute. A great thing about it is that I don’t need to give it ten minutes to dry; just put this gel-like mask on the skin by gentle scrubbing it on after cleansing and wait for five minutes and then wash off. It is not drying nor irritating but just deeply smoothing things away. I have used it for a month but just once a week cuz it is so strong yet effective. The texture of the pumpkin mask is similar to Kiehl’s cleansing mask though, the way to put it on and wash it off is way easier and gentler and I really enjoy it. For skin exfoliation using a mask, I have to say I have already found my new love! (Kiehl’s baby I am sorry)

My PTR FAMILY
My overall feeling is they are quite potent whatever the product is. They do their jobs effectively. You will feel being treated really.
the mask that EVERYONE needs🥰
Today I am going to talk about the BEST mask for any skin type. The PETER THOMAS ROTH - Cucumber Gel Masque is amazing. It hydrates and detoxifies, within fifteen minutes. It is great for any skin type because, no mater your skin type, you always need a little extra hydration in your life. Now, let’s talk ingredients. One ingredient this has is, cucumber extract. This is a non irritating plant extract that is known to be soo thin to the skin. It also contains anti inflammatory agents. Another benifital ingredient this has is pineapple extract, which has mild exfoliation properties, to help exfoliate off the dead skin cells. In addition this product contains aloe. Aloe is a benifital because it’s hydrating and will help heal inflammation. This product also has chamomile, which is an amazing ingredient to help de puff, and with redness. Another ingredient this has is allantonin, which is a common soothing and skin softening ingredient. This also contains citric acid, which is a light exfoliant to help get the dead skin cells off your skin. So by looking at theese ingredients you can tell this product is an amazing product to lightly exfoliate and hydrate the skin. Now from a personal standpoint, this mask has an an amazing cooling feel. Once you apply the mask you can feel it instantly hydrating and cooling the skin. In addition, after washing off the mask, my skin feels instantly hydrated. This mask washes off and applies so nicely. Now I am going to talk a little about why I think this mask works for any skin type. For dry skin, this mask is amazing because it gives you the extra hydration you need with a light detox. For normal/combo skin this mask is the perfect thing in your regimen, it helps detoxify with light hydration. And, for oily skin it does the same. And everyone always needs a little extra hydration. Now let’s address the elephant in the room, this products expensive price. I use this mask twice a week, and currently i have not been using any other masks. This product is on the pricier side, but in my opinion it is completely worth it. I am currently looking for a dupe because this is such a unique product but, I will for sure post about it when I do. A little more about my experience: I have talked about this before but, I have struggled with teen acne for a few years now and I still love this product. Although this product is amazing for my skin, it doesn’t nescarliy help my acne. If I am looking to help my acne or pores with a mask, I usually reach for the PETER THOMAS ROTH - Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask or the PETER THOMAS ROTH - Pumpkin Enzyme Mask Enzymatic Dermal Resurfacer which are great for helping with exfoliating and clogged pores. Should I do a post about theese two? Let me know in the comments!!!

Every Wednesday Routine
I have a certain routine I do every Wednesday. Wednesday is the day I exfoliate, clay mask, sheet mask and scrub and deep clean my skin. 1st Step: fresh - Soy Face Cleanser Jumbo #Tadaam - Cleansing Brush[products]#[FiveStars] I cleanse with my soy cleanser using a cleansing brush. This brush is VERY soft but effective. I use the 60 sec rule and gently scrub. 2nd step: Kiehl's - Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque I use this clay mask once a week to give my pores the deep cleaning they need. I leave it one until mask is hard. I rinse off with a warm cloth (gently). 3rd Step: PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator I use this exfoliating toner once a week because it can be a little strong for my skin. This helps give my skin the extra dose of deep cleaning and removal of dead skin. 4th Step: #Simple - Water Boost Hydrating Sheet Mask[products]#[FiveStars] I sheet mask after all of the stress I put my skin through from the other steps. I try to use a Hydrating sheet mask but if not, I will use a any sheet mask that will replenish my skin. 5th Step: IOPE - Limited Edition Rentinol Expert Essence 0.1% I use a rentinol serum or essence usually this one to help with firmness and wrinkles. 6th & final step: I use a sleeping mask LANEIGE - Cica Sleeping Mask To sooth my skin and lock in moisture. It gives my skin the final dose of hydration. Is it effective? I have eczema/sensitive skin and I've tried a lot routines to help get and keep my skin healthy. This routine really gives my skin what it needs. The next day my skin very hydrated, smooth and glowing. It feels amazing and looks so healthy and clean. I've been using this routine once a week for 4 months now and it never fails. Do you have a certain routine at times or days? #whoisnee #cheriecreator #skincareroutine
Clay Mask is a must for large pores!
For me keeping my face as clean as possible is a must. I was born with a fairly oily skin (not pleasant, but gotta make the best out of what i have😉). And if you have oily skin like me, you're likely to have large pores due to an excess of sebum production. That means, you need to make sure your face is clean (though don’t over do it) coz if the pores (and they’re already larger than average to begin with) get clogged this can make the pores to appear even MORE BIGGER and noticeable. BIG YIKES. This is why i put Clay Mask in my skincare routine. Clay mask is amazing for the skin as they hydrate, cleanse, brighten, exfoliate, and boost overall skin health as well. Clay mask also removes excess oil from your skin while saturating it with the nutrients it needs. And thats simply coz clay masks filled with minerals your skin craves. As the mask absorbs on your face, nutrients sink into your skin and make it look soft, smooth and even brighter, also CLEAN PORES = PORES DONT APPEAR SO BIG! If you are like me; #oilyskingang, you can use them up to 2-3 times in a week, while people with dry skin should stick to using them once or (maybe) twice. In these pictures I’m using my very own Hydrating Clay Matcha Mask (fingers crossed, I’ll be able to finally launch them coz they really work on my skin; cleansing the pores, absorbing all the unnecessary oil, reducing redness and pimples while tightening the skin. A couple of my friends who have dry-really sensitive skin have tried it too and it worked amazing on them as well). I use it twice to 3 times a week. I also switch it up with Kiehls Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque and they both work wonders! But but but! When the Red Devil approaches, i tend to have hormonal acne so instead of switching it up with Kiehls, i use the Himalaya Purifying Neem Mask! It really helps with my hormonal acne! Ooowee, they be kissing those pimples goodbye so quick! Not to mention its really cheap (about $6) and its natural! Let me know if any of yall have tried these products mentioned above. (P.S: if my own Clay Mask launches i promise you’ll be the first to hear😉) warm hugs, ugggliz
Finishing my Aesop tryouts🧡
Aesop - Fabulous Face Cleanser I give it 3 stars as the price is not fabulous neither is the product. If you like the consistency I would buy Youth to the People Superfood cleanser. Aesop - Purifying Facial Exfoliant Paste I’ve tried many manual exfoliants and this is definitely up there with my HG’s, if not my holy grail! 😍😍😍 beautifully executed, the right amount of grittiness and smells so fresh and clean (herbally to be exact) I would even recommend it for sensitive, mature and dry skin. Great stuff✨👌🏻 Aesop - Blue Chamomile Facial Hydrating Masque Love that it comes in a pump as this makes it hygienic and mess free. Lovely soft smell, soothing really! It definitely does leave my skin visibly brighter and super soft when you take it off, which should be after 30 mins max, I did but used my Thayer’s cucumber rose toner and some Avené thermal water spray. It’s pricy that’s why I gave it 4 star as I am sure there are other things that can brighten up your skin. But if you want quality, mess free, not gooey feeling or like you can’t talk or move type of mask then this one is for you. Recommended even for my oily girls. (Not acne prone though). Aesop - Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Hydrator Fluid Moisturizer This product is soooo weird. I love the cleanser from the parsley line but this is just... 😐 meh. My skin felt good after I applied it (to try it out I only used my cherry bright Farmacy Vitamin C and my good molecules niacinamide which I left sink in, no other stuff). Then I applied the hydrator and it felt nice and smooth but wouldn’t sink in, it took forever to do so... I kept massaging and using my face roller and finally after 30 mins (no I didn’t massage or rolled for that long 😂) it sinked in. Problem is that it doesn’t really hydrate or moisturize... it left my skin feeling sticky and in need of moisture after one hour and a half. If your oily or combo leaning more towards oily it should work for you, but it’s not worth the price tag IMHO! Overall: I stand by my reviews and my ratings BUT thread carefully as it does contain essential oils and nut derivatives. The IN TWO MINDS line from them broke me out and I never get pimples on my cheeks only on my jaw and occasionally my nose. That range just did not work for me nor did the milk cleanser which would be good maybe for someone with really sensitive skin that doesn’t wear makeup. Any questions Just ask! Thanks for reading, Jen xo
Aesop-Blue Chamomile Facial Hydrating Masque
black sugar facial scrub/mask
This mask has been a staple in my skincare routine for a long time. I tend to use it as a facial scrub as opposed to a mask since I prefer to use it in the shower. This mask contains brown sugar to gently exfoliate dead skin and moisturize with shea butter. The result, should be soft supple skin. This mask works best for dry skin types, but I find that it also works well with my oily/sensitive skin type. This definitely has a very gritty feeling with a sort of emollient base, however the sugar granules melt during use and the base emulsifies, so there’s no residue. I definitely like this mask a lot. I think that it’s worth the price and it does a great job as a physical exfoliant. My skin feels soft and supple after use and I have had no problems with it breaking me out. I will say that the packaging isn’t the best if you’re bringing it into a wet environment like the shower. I usually just scoop out some and put it in one of those Sephora tester containers and use that in the shower. I find that the amount in the tester container is pretty much all I need for my face. I would recommend using this if you want a cheaper alternative to the fresh sugar scrub, the granules are a little larger and grittier, but the experience is very similar.

SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask SIZE: 2.25 oz/ 64 g $63 CAD This ultra-hydrating facial mask with a rich combination of ceramides, vitamins, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory ingredients that help to combat puffy, inflamed, over-worked skin. I normally use it once or twice a week after shower, left in on for 20 minutes and then rubbed the rest in my skin befor going to sleep as a deep cleaning. It can peel and feel tight, I would put on lotion after this as I normally do. It has a very slight scent. I don’t find it to be overwhelming at all. It feels refreshing when it goes on. By morning my face is so smooth and soft. I do love this product, it’s softer and feels more hydrated but not sticky and heavy like other cream moisturizers. But it's more of a nice to have than a need to have. There are other products that are cheaper and achieve the same results CLINIQUE - Pep Start 2-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser Size：125 ml Price: $26 I get this as a sample from Sephora. This cleanser is suitable for oily/combination skin. This is a very nice dual cleanser and scrub in one. I use this after I have removed my makeup well using a cleansing oil. I find it very scrubby. It’s a foaming exfoliating scrub and the beads are very gentle yet effective for getting rid of dead skin cells and makeup. Personally, I found it's a bit too rough for everyday use, but as an occasional thing, it's handy. I only use this one a few times a week and it has seriously reduced redness and made my skin a lot smoother and brighter. Accordingly, if you don’t use regularly, that oily feeling on your face gets back. This is a nice cleansing product, especially when you are looking to get a very gentle and silky exfoliation, as opposed to feeling harsh gritty, but not recommend to beauties with acne and very sensitive skin.
SUMMER FRIDAYS-Jet Lag Mask
Honey+vine lovely skincare products. Let me spill the T on these 3 amazing little super heroes. ~ Honey Cleanser - OH HOW I ADORE THIS CLEANSER! It smells divine, & it is so unique in its own way. It feels like your rubbing chocolate pudding all over your face, but in a really sweet treat for your skin good kinda way. Made from raw Manuka 🍯 and Moroccan clays & spices like vanilla & cocoa. This cleanser leaves your face feeling so remarkably soft & smooth, and that incredible aroma it has puts you in absolute zen. Did you know that Manuka 🍯 from New Zealand has clinically proven antibacterial properties, and can calm inflamed & irritated skin?! Not only that, but this cleanser can also be used as a hydrating face mask, ummm yes please! ~ Green Tea & Honey Mask- Just like the Honey Cleanser, this mask also smells amazing! This mask works wonders for calming, brightening, & hydrating skin. Made with witch hazel, raw Manuka 🍯, French green clay, Kaolin clay, 🥑 oil, hemp seed oil, organic matcha, green tea extract, vitamin E, and essential oils. ~ Honey Lip Balm- I've used this daily the last couple of weeks, and it has really been a savior for my lips during these harsh winter months. It's so smooth & buttery. Oh, did I mention it also smells and tastes heavenly?! Now who would've guessed that! 😅 I can't brag enough on how amazing these products are! I am so excited to try the rest of their line!
Superberry dreamy 💭
I’ve been waiting for this sample to arrive and it lived up to all the expectations. This mask is smooth, smells wonderful, the color is super fun and delivers everything it’s stated. You don’t need a lot of this product on application so the 48 dollars for a bottle will last you for some time. Lucky enough I got the sample through Ipsy, I would hesitate at first to buy this but after sampling wouldn’t hesitate at the investment. Went to bed with my skin feeling dewy and moist, woke up with the same feeling. I have been searching for something that brings hydration to my skin and have found such a great product. Makeup went on smooth the next day and didn’t soak into my pores/creases like before. My skin is acne prone and sensitive and haven’t seen this being a problem for it. This is a huge plus because usually products make my skin react badly by the next morning. So I haven’t woken up discouraged with results. I use this 3 times a week but could see it being used more or less depending on your needs. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask

I’d rather get coal than...
The Farmacy Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask is a product that I wanted to love but can’t... Farmacy has some of my favorite products but I just can’t get behind this mask. The Honey Potion mask is a hydrating, warming honey mask that contains antioxidants to give the skin a glowing complexion that is plump with hydration. It targets dryness, dullness and uneven texture, and elasticity. The texture is almost identical to honey. It is a very jelly/sticky mask that turns into a white, creamy consistency as you rub it into the face. I’ve had this face mask for years but have honestly only used it a handful of times because of the way it makes my skin feel. The reason that I don’t like this mask is that it makes my skin burn. Yes, it is supposed to have a heating element but this mask truly burns. I have sensitive, rosacea-prone skin. So anything that heats the skin can cause irritation for me and that’s what this does. After using this mask, my skin feels and looks like I spent the day in the sun and have a severe sunburn. For this reason, I don’t recommend this product. It is not worth the $56 price point in my opinion. FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask
