Is Retinol really worth to try for?
I guess many of you have already heard of retinol(Vitamin-A) and it is not a secret ingredient anymore. It’s more like a trend right now to see a lot of companies creating some new retinol products to us beauty lovers. Retinol is such a powerhouse ingredient added in cosmetic products and drugs that it can solve wrinkle and ageing issue. It also boosts the collagen production make skin look younger. Also good news for acne skin: retinol can fight pimples and tough acne scars and that’s why I have to try it. I bought this serum from the pharmacy after watching videos by some beauty gurus on YouTube. This serum has a white silky texture and easy to smooth on skin, but the fragrance is a little strange and not needed in my mind. It is lightweight and not greasy at all so for me a moisturizer is really necessary. My face looks brighter after the first night and so far I have used this for about 20 days and my skin is smoother and pores got smaller, which is something I haven’t seen from other products. My acne got better day by day as well. This non-comedogenic cream also has a light yellow color and easier to smooth on skin since it contains more oil in it but surprisingly it is not greasy at all and doesn’t make my acne worse. It smells like sour apricot and I like this fruity smell pretty much. It uses another form of retinol, retinyl palmitate, which is more often seen than retinol actually. Also with the help of gluconolactone, skin texture is clearly improved. This moisturizer feels light and my face looks much brighter and I have just used it for a week! My acne scars also got paler too. I kinda fall in love with this, to be honest. Retinol is quite powerful, but we need to build tolerance and give skin a break when it gets flaky or dry or irritated. It is great to see La Roche-Posay having this product for beginner to have a taste of retinol, but for those have already built tolerance, I recommend Neostrata Renewal Cream than Redermic serum. Although the price of renewal cream is higher with the exact same amount, we don’t need to buy another moisturizer since itself is a facial cream and I think it is worth it.

Propylene Glycol Has Been Saving My Dry Combo Skin For Years
Propylene glycol (or PEG), along with other forms of glycol like butylene glycol, ethylene glycol, and glycerol, is commonly used in skincare and makeup products. It’s a humectant, emollient, and preservative that maintains beauty products’ freshness and keeps bacteria at bay, thus lengthening the products’ shelf life. It’s commonly seen in creams, serums, even hair products like shampoo and conditioner. This is advisable for individuals who have dry or dry combination skin types (like myself) who are looking for extra moisture and hydration. It’s a moisture-locking agent which attracts water and traps it in the skin, keeping our skin well hydrated. It also smoothes out the skin while maintaining a light non-sticky feeling. Since it draws water onto the skin, it’s a major lifesaver if you’re starting to develop fine lines. We all know that there’s no room for fine lines and wrinkles in a well-hydrated skin. Another plus factor of PEG is that it helps the absorption of other skincare ingredients, making them more effective. I learned about this ingredient through various resources online. I’ve always been curious about skincare ingredients, and this is one of the items that is almost always present in a number of my skincare products so I looked it up on EWG and other online sites. Since a lot of my skincare products have PEG in them, and I don’t experience any irritation or breakout or anything negative on my skin, I think this works well for me. Considering the fact that it helps in hydration, I believe this ingredient has been helping me maintain a well-moisturized skin. Some products worth noting are Physiogel calming relief AI cream which helps with my psoriasis flare-ups, and La Roche-Posay Uvidea melt in cream, which is one of my fave light sunscreens.
Stress repair face cream with niacinamide
I got the new Dr Dennis Gross - Stress Repair Face Cream with Niacinamide in a giveaway with the brand, where they sent me a routine customized for my skin’s needs. This cream has niacinamide, superfoods, adaptogens, and sweet almond oil, and it claims to strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier and help correct/prevent signs of stress like redness, dryness, and dullness. This cream is suuuuper thick and luxurious. It feels deeply nourishing on my skin, and when I apply it there’s a very subtle cooling sensation—it feels very calming. I use this as my last step in my night routine, and it definitely helps soothe my redness. I’m pretty sure the niacinamide is helping calm my current breakout and reduce redness. Long story short, I really love this cream—like almost as much as the DDG peel pads. A little goes a long way.

What I use for emergency skin repair?
Today I want to share my skin routine when I have breakouts before my period, or my skin feels uneven and has small pimples on my face because I eat too much unhealthy foods and stay up late. I usually do this routine no more than five days and I can see the great results. The most important point is “less is more”, so I would only use one repairing product and focus on moisturizing so that there won’t be too much burden for my skin. For the first step, I will apply a moisturizing skin lotion with a cotton pads, which will help me clean the skin better. I use the Eudermine Revitalizing Essence from Shiseido, and I think you can choose any lotion you like if the ingredients are simple. After wiping my face and neck, I will use it one more time without cotton pads to give my skin a good base for the next step. The next product I use is the Advanced Night Repair Intense Reset Concentrate from Estee Lauder. Using Chronolux S.O.S. Technology, this treatment rescues and resets the look of skin fast, and I can tell the difference in one night! This product has Tripeptide-32, which is a patent ingredient of Estee Lauder and has great antioxidative effects. The salicylic acid and resveratrol inside can help with pores, breakouts and make the skin brighter and more stable. Besides, dimethicone, squalene and hyaluronic acid are for moisturizing, so if you have oily skin, you can omit cream afterwards. The last step for me is moisturizer. I use the True Cream Moisturizing Bomb from Belif. I really love this brand, and they have different texture of moisturizer. If you have combination or oily skin, the Water Bomb is also a great choice if your expectation is only stay hydrated all day and all night. Because I don’t want to have too much products on my face when my skin is sensitive, so keeping my skin hydrated is the most important thing for me. And this product does a great job. So that is my skincare routine when I need emergency repair and I would only use this routine when needed and go back to my normal routine after I feel better. Hope it can be helpful for you too.

Sensitive Skin? Don't Worry! I Discovered The Best Routine!
I have sensitive skin which often causes flaky skin and skin redness. However, ever since I found a skin care routine that suits me, my skin condition has stabilized. You can try this out if you also have sensitive skin. LA MER - The Treatment Lotion I always use this lotion after cleansing. It is said to contain 99% serum plus 1% water, and 3 to 4 drops of it is enough for the entire face. It is suitable for oily, dry, and sensitive skin as it's really moisturizing and refreshing, leaving your skin feeling really soft and delicate. CLARINS - Double Serum Complete Age Control Concentrate At first, I bought this double serum when I saw a blogger I like using it. Its two-phase formula is quite moisturizing and is suitable for all skin types. It contains lots of anti-oxidant ingredients, glycerin and other moisturizing ingredients. It forms anoil film on your face when first applied but it's soon fully absorbed. Lancôme Blanc Expert Melanolyser Integral Whiteness Spot Eraser Although this spot eraser is considered a whitening serum, it's suitable for sensitive skin as well. However, I don't apply it to my entire face, only on dull spots and it really brightens the skin. A white creamy texture, it is scent-free, non-greasy, can be easily absorbed, and can also be used as a moisturizing lotion. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration This is a savior for dry-sensitive skin as it not only repairs the skin barrier of sensitive skin, it also keeps skin moisturized. Emulsify and apply it to reduce redness during allergy flares. It is considered a drugstore alternative of La Mer by many bloggers.

Estee Lauder travel exclusive WORTH or NOT?
1. Estee Lauder micro essence skin activating treatment lotion 150ml 🌟🌟🌟 One of my favorite Youtubers said this essence helped her pores and skin refinement in general. I have tried the SK II essence which is a lot more expensive. I will say that the EL seems more hydrating and doesn't have an odor. However, after using up a whole bottle I don't see a huge difference in my skin. I also noticed there tends to be residue build up on the glass bottle when you pour it in your hand, there's always a drop or two that will leak out. If you like essences, this is a decent one to try. Since this also isn't cheap I would want to try other essences like the Primera one. 2. Estee Lauder advanced night repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II 50ml 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I’ve tried a few night repair/recovery serums and I always come back to this one. Others seem to clog my pores or cause breakouts and this one I don’t have that problem or worry at all- which is a big win for me. When I use it at night I see results the next day, I wake up and my skin just feels hydrated and plump and glowy. Will continue to use consistently to see full results! I also feel like the bottle will last forever, I’ve used it countless times and the bottle is still so full. Definitely give it a try! 3. Estee Lauder revitalizing supreme+ 75ml 🌟🌟🌟🌟 I have used this cream from several samples and fell in love with the moisturizer capacity immediately. it has a rich texture, so u only need a small (i would say a hazelnut size) amount per time so the jar lasts! I have a dry (due to winter) but mixed skintype (some impurities) but this cream balances my skin. You can also use this cream as daycream and does not interfere with make up (I use double wear make up from Estee Lauder). When used as night cream, I would recommend washing your face in the morning with a cleanser to prevent any accumulation of products (I think this is recommended anyways..) overall, I feel that it keeps my skin is clear and glowing, for me it is worth the price! All in all, I really think this set is worth buying since the three products are effective and good (except the first one which i give 3 stars) and the price is reasonable.
the Saem Derma Plan Sensitive Soothing Treatment set review Is your skin sensitive? Even if my skin is a combo, it's still very sensitive - I'm allergic so what I was expecting? The thing is that my skin every year has the period of being annoying and cosmetology is not always helpful. I found the Saem Derma Plan Sensitive Soothing Treatment set that contains a mini version of Ultra Balm from the same series on Jolse and now I can share with you a review. Both Treatment and serum have no scent and they have no artificial colours instead you can find here Centella in many different forms Squalane, Beta-Glucan, Licorice, Green Tea, Panthenol - in a Balm version Ceramide and Shea Butter instead of Squalane. The Treatment is like milk but more creamy and it's very easy to apply, it has a nice applicator so you won't use too much. The balm will be better for dry skin or dry patches on combo/oily skin. The Treatment is very lightweight and it can be used under makeup (and sunscreen since suncare is a must!). This duo is ideal for damaged skin barrier and during the allergy season still, I believe that patch test is a must since every skin reacts differently. I had no comedogenic reactions to this duo but the balm feels a bit too heavy for my skin type. I feel like we totally forgot about the Saem but believe me guys - sometimes it's good to go back to affordable products because you can get this set for $14.16 on Jolse.
