5⭐️ For My Spa Day Body Essentials!
Happy Friday!! I am absolutely IN LOVE with my body spa day essentials! This morning, before work, I had a little extra time to treat myself to a mini spa day. I wash my hair yesterday so today was all focus on my body! Of course I did my morning skin care routine (check out my last few posts for all the details on that) but I also added some new stuff to the rest of my body care routine. Taking care of our WHOLE bodies is so important. When I take care of my body, I feel happy and good about myself. It’s a very empowering and a unique experience when you put your body on a pedestal and care for it the way you should! So here we go! This morning I started with scrubbing my entire body with my ecoTOOLS - Dry Body Brush !! Some people say the dry brush hurts and irritates their skin but I love it!! I love having my back scratched so it feels lovely in my opinion. I make sure to bush in round strokes and definitely pay attention to my legs and my stretch marks. You’ll notice a difference if you do! Next I get in the shower and wash my body with HERBIVORE - Bamboo Charcoal Soap Most days I just use this for the bumps on my arms and the acne on my back but today I wanted to use it all over because I felt like I deserved high end treatment. I’ve been using this soap for 2 months now on my arms mainly where I have bumps and redness (I’ve had this since I was a teenager) but nothing has helped quite like this soap. It’s amazing how it’s just naturally fading over time! One of my newest favorite products is frank body - A-Beauty Coffee Scrub which came next this morning. It smells just like coffee and feels so good to rub into my skin. It is a bit messy so use with caution but the after results are amazing! My skin feels so soft it’s unbelievable! Finally in the shower I used my billie - Billie Razor and billie - The Shave Cream to shave my legs and underarms, because why not! Go the extra mile! When I get out of the shower is my final step, HEMPZ - Lavender Oil CBD Herbal Body Moisturizer ! ! I love love love this moisturizer. I am obsessed with the smell of lavender and the fact that there is CBD in the product just makes it 10x better. And it was on sale at Ulta!! Follow me for an upcoming post on CBD in body products and it’s benefits. Also make sure to cheers this post and leave a ⭐️ in the comments if you want me to video shoot my next spa day routine with y’all. I just learned how to edit videos so I’m pumped! Take care, everyone! 💖
Meet My Girl Billie 💗
⭐️First and foremost, hair on your body is natural and there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to let it be or to make the choice to shave it off. And that’s exactly why I like this brand! They really emphasize that fact and the importance of being a brand that sets an example by removing the ridiculous pink tax of feminine hygiene products! ⭐️I’ve been stalking this brand for a minute and was instantly enamored by their call to action. They are socially conscious and the next wave in shaving. Plus, the aesthetic is what drew me in. I thought the styling of the razor was absolutely adorable! ⭐️If you’re interested in getting started with Billie, you would purchase the Razor Starter Kit which retails for $9 and features no ridiculous pink tax and free shipping always! After that purchase you begin your subscription based on how often you shave if you shave multiple times a week or almost every day you can choose to get a refill of four blades every month for $9 and if you shave less throughout the week or the month you can choose to get a delivery every two months or three months for $9! You can change your subscription time at any point, pause, or even cancel if it’s not for you! ⭐️What comes with the Razor Starter Kit? 🤍Handle 🤍Magnetic Magic Holder 🤍2 Blades ⭐️It may not seem like a lot but for the quality it’s amazing! The razor features five blades encased by a charcoal soap for easy shaving! ⭐️My Experience/Opinion 🧸Amazing Packaging 🧸Cute Aesthetic 🧸Cheap 🧸Modifiable Subscription Plan 🧸Quick & Close Shave 🧸Nice Weight in the Hand 🧸Easy to Assemble ✨I love it and compare to the 2 blades razors I was using from Gillette is definitely and upgrade so if you’re interested check out www.mybillie.com!

Morning routine updated
Ok I’ve made a few changes to my routine and sometimes I keep switching a few things in and out depending on the day.... I start with The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution which I love. I think glycolic acid is an important ingredient to have in your routine for oily skin and wrinkles and even acne too. I always use insta natural - Zinc Vitamin C Serum but I go between also using insta natural - Age Defying & Skin Clearing Serum which I love for acne, insta natural - Dark Spot Corrector I don’t notice a huge difference with this but it has great ingredients or insta natural - Skin Brightening Serum, Anti-Aging that has alpha arbutin to help brighten dark spots or hyperpigmentation. So I alternate with those! Love using COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence to have a dewy glow and helps with skin texture and pigmentation issues I’ve recently added The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% to help with acne and oily skin and love it too. I top with a thin layer of Clindamycin gel and then moisturizer which I alternate also between a few different ones. BEEKMAN 1802 - Bloom Cream Daily Probiotic Moisturizer has great ingredients but a funky old woman smell I do not like, thank goodness I only have a sample size.... Honest has a great soothing moisturizer I’ve tried and also ARBONNE has a great calming moisturizer as well as a lightweight jelly moisturizer I go between. Then I do a few drops of The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% and I’m done. I usually let it sit for awhile or at least a good 5 minutes while I do my eye makeup and eyeliner before I use any face makeup but I love the texture of my skin so far using this all together.
Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines pt. 3
Hey y’all! Today’s post is part 3 of 4 of my Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines series. In today’s post we’re covering @geralorentas and @robynkenner ! Starting with @geralorentas. She starts out by cleansing with theCeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser which costs $13 for 8 fl oz. This cleanser has super gentle exfoliating agents, as well as glycerin and Hylaronic acid which are very hydrating. Next she uses theRENÉE ROULEAU - Rapid Response Detox Toner which costs $41 for 6 fl oz. This toner, as far as toners go, is pretty good. Its main draws are Salicylic acid and Lactic acid which are great for dealing with acne. Next she uses theSKIN GRAMMAR - Super Good Repair Essence which costs $38 for 5.7 fl oz. This essence has Nicinamide and glycerin, as well as a ton of ceramides. Unfortunately it has orange peel oil. Citrus oils a extracts are extremely irritating to the skin because they are acidic, so I have to say no to this essence. Next she uses the RENÉE ROULEAU - Vitamin C&E Treatment which costs $69 for 1 fl oz. It has glycerin, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C, but again it has citrus oils and extracts which make this another no for me. Then to moisturize she goes in with the#Dr. zenovia - Peptide + Ceramide Moisturizer[products]#[FourStars] which costs $79 for 1.7 fl oz. This moisturizer has ceramides and glycerin. Finally she goes in with theLA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Anti-shine Dry Touch Facial Sunscreen SPF50+ which I couldn’t find the price for. It’s a really good basic sunscreen. So that’s @geralorentas routine. For her I would recommend getting rid of the essence and the treatment, but otherwise the products seem great! Moving on to @robynkenner. She starts with a double cleanse, and we’ll talk in a minute about what she’s doing wrong. She starts with the The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser which costs $7.90 for 1 fl oz. The main ingredients in this are squalane and glycerin. A lot of people complain that this cleanser is so gentle is barely cleans, but it seems to work for @robynkenner. Then she uses theMurad - Clarifying Cleanser which costs $32 for 6.75 fl oz. The main draw for this product is Salicylic acid, but again it’s a no because of citrus oils and extracts as well as fragrance. Now I mentioned that she’s double cleansing wrong. Double cleansing isn’t just using 2 cleansers, it’s specifically using an oil based cleanser and then a water based cleanser. (Check out my post on double cleansing for more information) In this case, @robynkenner is using 2 water based cleansers which can be stripping to the skin, and isn’t considered double cleansing. She mentioned she started doing this because her skin didn’t feel clean with just the first cleanse, and I think this might be because the Squalane Cleanser is too gentle. Next she uses theNeutrogena - Hydro Boost Eye Gel-Cream which costs $25 for .5 fl oz. First off, eye cream should be at the end of a routine. The eye cream itself is great though. Next she usesThe Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution which costs $8.70 for 8 fl oz. I talked about this product in pt. 1, but in short it’s really good. And finally she uses the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream which costs $36 for 6 fl oz. This is a nice super thick basic moisturizer. So in conclusion @robynkenner, I’d try to find a new cleanser, then just add your eye cream after moisturizer instead of early in the routine. That’s all for pt. 3! Please cheer for this post if you liked it, comment below your favorite cleansers to help out @robynkenner, and follow me to join the family and for similar content. -Mae
✈️ in-flight routine (planning ahead!)
of course leisure travel is on hold on right now, but I love planning what I’ll have in my carry-on cosmetic bag one day! I always fly without makeup and make a point to do my skincare routine even if I’m flying all day. I love using an overnight mask as a barrier, too. my favorite is Embryolisse - Lait Crème Concentré it leaves my skin soft + visibly brighter. I always make sure to also have a mist to ensure my skincare doesn’t get dehydrated on the plane! SPF is another given, remember to wear SPF every day, EVEN WHEN YOU’RE INSIDE!! a few other things in my bag are a travel-sized perfume, deodorant, and hand cream (wash those hands!). what would you have in your in-flight routine? #cheriepartner
November • RENEGADE HONEY (V)
It’s November!! Things are still stressful with school, but we are moving towards a break and needed time with family, which means I chose another soft scent. This time we have Renegade Honey! FINCH BERRY - Year of Soap Set Who is he?🍯 “Bring your nose to the decorative honeycomb moulding that tops this soap and you’ll be met with (you guessed it) the low, sweet scent of honey. Add a dark whisper of bitter almond and Renegade Honey readily envelops the airways, offering, in turn, a sigh of rejuvenation and warm contentment. With a cream-colored, amber-flecked body and a rich foaming lather, this nourishing soap can’t help but endear itself to the senses.“ *there is no honey in this soap it is VEGAN which is awesome!🐝 Look🍯 This one is very simple yet elegant especially when compared to the others from Finchberry! This actually took my boyfriend off guard because each time he comes over there is some extremely loud colored soap in my bathroom and so he was like “who’s this?”😂 but that being said, it is still very gorgeous and would look super beautiful in a natural looking bathroom! It has a comb shape on the top with what looks like sugar sprinkled on it. Overall it is very beautiful and natural looking! Feel🍯 This one is a harder soap, which helps with it not leaving tons of reside on the soap dish. As I mentioned before, this is super important to me because I HATE cleaning the soap dish nearly every time I use the soap! Since it is also very uniform in shape, it melts away more uniform than the others. This means it will not get super out of shape to where it will not stand unlike most of the others. When used it leaves your hands super soft like all of the others! Scent🍯 This one definitely takes on the scent of the others it’s boxed with, which means it takes a minute to get to its true smell. When you do get to it’s scent, it is by far the most soft scent I’ve run into. It’s very calming, but it will not stay on your skin. This would be fantastic for people who are sensitive to smells! Update on SWEET DREAMS🍂 Oh no. Okay it was good as a hand soap at the beginning, then it started smelling strange. I think it got more lavender scented as I used it, but it has a weirdness to it. I moved it into my shower to use as a body soap, and I really don’t like it any more. I have no idea what happened, but as of now it is my least favorite! 😭
October’s Finch Berry • SWEET DREAMS (V)
Happy October! For many that will mean time for pumpkin spice lattes, jumping in leaf piles, and dressing up! For students like myself it means super caffeinated Monster drinks, running over leaves in a rush for class, and going to midterms in pajamas!😅 However, I have good news for such stressed loves, this soap is for you! FINCH BERRY - Year of Soap Set Who is she? 🍂 “Ever-calming lavender and vanilla aromas make for this fantastic never-fail soap. Crowned in gold and marbled in smooth purples and pale greens, Sweet Dreams manages to suds, soap up, and soothe even the most agitated of bodies and minds; cool lavender and warm vanilla lead to a luxurious lather that relaxes both skin and soul. Allow the indulgent experience of Sweet Dreams to bring you back to a place of true comfort in the midst of a stressful day, or gently carry you off to bed — and the sweetest of dreams — at night.“ Look 🍂 These colors make me think of New Orleans and Mardi Gras with the gold and purple. It has very fantasy-like colors, which further adds to the dream theme! The purple and gold also work very well with Halloween! I think that the mica on top is very pretty; however, due to ethical concerns as to how it is mined, I prefer their soaps that have regular glitter or other such decorations. That is not to say that Finch Berry uses such unethical practices, but with a general concern over the product I prefer to try and avoid it in case. Feel 🍂 This one is a mix of harder soap and softer soap. Like Wonderland, the white colored soap is very soft and seems to strip away much faster. I do believe that it is more structurally sound than that one though, it will just stick to the soap dish more than we saw in a soap like Cranberry Chutney. I believe it is the texture of the mica doing this, but it almost has an exfoliating factor to it that really adds to the relaxation element! Scent 🍂 This is the most relaxing scent that I’ve tested yet! I know many people that find lavender to be too strong for them, which is something that this scent does not overdo. More than anything it smells of really warm vanilla, but still has the calming aspect of the lavender without it being headache inducing! I truly feel calmer after using it, which has made a difference in my day to day. Update on CRANBERRY CHUTNEY 🍂 Since she was much harder in texture than wonderland, I have so much soap left to use as a body soap! This is really exciting, as Wonderland did not last as long as I expected it to (about two months 1 as a hand soap and 1 as a body soap). It also left much less residue which made cleanup much easier!

BOUJEE ON A BUDGET BODY LOTION 💚
Found Flamingo’s body care line at Target a few months ago and fell in love with this moisturizer!! It smells so good and the scent is not over powering like other brands with scented moisturizers. The value size costs $10 for 15oz and the regular 10oz costs $8! This lotion is very moisturizing but if you want even more moisture they also have a deep nourishing cream (also same scent) which is $10 for $10oz! 🌿 Overall: 1000/10 Con: squeeze tube bottle does look a little beat up after using it because it creases.
December challenge PT 2
I decided to split the list up, so here's days 17-20: Day 17 - body product: I'm honestly tied between the flamingo - flamingo Daily Moisturizing Lotion and Aveeno - Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream , since they've both helped my dry skin so much! Day 18 - device/tool: I've been obsessed with my SEPHORA COLLECTION - Rose Quartz Facial Roller because it cools down my skin well and now I have to use it every night. Day 19 - most used brand: my most used brand is probably Glossier, because I use their eye products and skincare products all the time (boy brow, brow flick, lash slick; solution, priming moisturizer rich, super pure, balm dotcom) - though I use lots of products from other brands too. I just don't use many products from a single brand, but I have a lot of Glossier products that I use regularly Day 20 - top product of 2020: I know I posted another thing with my top product of 2020, but it's really a tie. The other product is NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer bc it's stepped up my makeup game and it's made a huge difference in covering my undereye circles.

BLUME-Cloud 9 Essential Oil for Cramps
I was super excited to try out these luxurious goodies from votrevu. All their botanically-based products are formulated at a lab just outside of Paris, France (though the company itself is American). I've been very impressed at the formulations -- the textures are elegant and luxurious while feeling very moisturizing. I got to try out the Best Regards White Lily Cleanser and Toner, as well as the Caviar Serum. The cleanser is a milk/lotion cleanser and I freaking LOVE it. I like milk cleansers as a rule because they don't strip my skin like many foam cleansers do, but it's hard to find one that strikes the perfect balance between being moisturizing, yet rinsing off clean. The Votre Vu White Lily Cleanser nails it and is my go-to morning cleanser these days. It also has an incredible fragrance that smells like jasmine and other light florals. I think some will find the scent too strong but I actually really like it. The Best Regards Toner is a mist that includes sodium hyaluronate, and it's a really refreshing watery toner that works well as a first layer. In contrast, the Caviar Serum is a rich emulsion that includes squalane, caviar extract, as well as a host of flower oils, and it's very moisturizing and nourishing. The Votre Vu team also sent a couple of their super convenient Baby Duettes -- these are a hand cream and lip balm in one tube, which is perfect to throw in your purse. I've been trying to streamline the gazillion bottles and tubes I have in my bag and this is perfect.
🌿 Meltdown Most spot treatments don’t usually work for me unless it’s a prescribed topical cream from my dermatologist. Moving forward, I surprisingly had 2 small red, painful bumps the day I got the package, so it only made sense to put it to the test that same night. Believe it or not, the bumps were gone the next day like they never even existed! I thought maybe it was a fluke cos it was simply just way too good to be true. I continued to try it on other spots and although they didn’t disappear the next day like with my first experience, they were often gone by the second/third day! This product is honestly so amazing at soothing spots and reducing inflammation. I highly recommend trying it out! 🌿 Hug Me This is the first natural deodorant I’ve ever tried and quite frankly, I’ve never been one to really use deodorant. My armpits don’t really smell, neither do they usually sweat (or not that much anyway). EXCEPT when I have to grow my hair out to get them sugared but even then it’s not bad enough that I desperately have to slap on deodorant. With that being said, I don’t think I‘m the best person to review this product lol 🤦🏻♀️ I did give it a try but I didn’t really see a difference. The one thing that I can say is that it does not keep you dry. Anyways, if you are interested in this product, I know people who absolutely swear by it like skinbyjess - so check her out!
Rose and Hibiscus Daily Moisturizer PRODUCT INFO: Beauty Kitchen’s Daily Moisturizer with Rosehip and Hibiscus is beneficial for all skin types. Rosehip oil is a rich source of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, also contains Vitamin C, is high in gamma linoleic acid (GLA), and contains polyunsaturated fatty acids (vitamin F), also known as essential fatty acids (EFA). Hibiscus extract, with its antioxidant properties, blends perfectly with the rosehip oil to create a synergetic combination for all skin types. Hibiscus is widely used in India for its natural astringent properties. This crème is rich with vitamins for noticeable skin care results. MY THOUGHTS: It has a lite floral scent that should not aggravate those sensitive to scents. It is a thick body butter type cream. It’s perfect for your dry elbows. On sale for $40 for a 2.3 Oz glass jar. That’s pretty pricy for what amounts to 5 tablespoons of product. It’s a nice cream but didn’t wow me. I wouldn’t use on my face because it has a couple ingredients like coconut oil that are known to clog pores.
Honestly speaking i thought this product would definitely work. When i first checked the reviews of this product on buzz feed i was more than excited to try it. I read a lot of reviews & did a lot of research on witch hazel and this product. Looking at a lot of positive reviews i ended up buying this product. 🔸First Impressions: I picked the aloe one, because i wanted something to soothe my skin as i use a lot of acne products. Their was no fragrance which is a yay 👍 from my side. But I didn’t feel anything when i applied it. It felt just like normal water. I usually feel toners have a bit of tingling feeling as soon as i apply but there was none. 🔸 i have used it for two weeks now, i just don’t feel it’s doing anything to my skin. In my recent reviews i found there could be fake ones sold on amazon as well. Wish i had known this before 🙄 NOTE: If you’re planning to purchase this makesure to know if it’s original. PS: i have full bottle & have no clue what to do with it 🙄🙄 Hunt for new toner begins again🤷♀️ Hope this helps ! Xoxo💋
THAYERS-Witch Hazel Astringent
Sharing two products that I just recently finished! I have mixed feelings whenever I go through a skin care product, either I’m satisfied to finally be done with it or be sad that it’s not going to be part of my routine anymore (especially if I loved it). But that means getting to try a new product (which I might potentially like more!) - Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner Heimish All Clean Balm - I used to decant this into a spray bottle for easier usage and spritz it into my face every time I get out of the shower. I enjoy it both as a mist and a toner and for it’s price point plus the amount of product you get, it’s totally worth it. Would definitely recommend and probably repurchase but will try a new product first. - I didn’t double cleanse before getting the heimish balm but doing so really made a difference into my skin. The only other oil cleanser that I’ve tried would be the MAC one and I find that really hard to wash-off compared to this. I also like how gentle this is around the eye area since mine are quite sensitive. I really enjoyed using this and would 100% repurchase but I have the DHC Cleansing Oil in my stash to use up next!
