2021 Fashion Week Inspired Makeup - Chloé

RebeccaSuzanne_Says
This is the second spring/summer 2021 fashion week inspired look I did. Make sure to check out my other Cherie post for my Hermès look. This look inspired by Chloé focuses on smoldering, smudged out black-rimmed eyes, dewy skin, and juicy nude lips. The eye look was particularly interesting to me because of the blank spaces in the center of the model’s lower and upper lids. The base of this look is the same as my Hermès look. I’ve included the inspo photo that I found on Allure. Complexion: Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid
- this oil-serum hybrid is perfect for adding a glowy base on bare skin, under makeup, or over makeup on the high points of your face for a natural, yet wet-looking highlight. I used 1 pump all over my face under my skin tint, and a tiny bit dabbed on the tops of my cheek bones after my skin tint. $24 ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40
“balos” - light coverage to even out my skin tone and also amp up the dew. $46 e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer
“light peach” - I used 2 tiny dots under my eyes to add some coverage. $6 AOA studio - Sculpt FX Contour
“fawn” - the model does not appear to be wearing any cheek products; however, has beautiful, defined cheekbones. I don’t have defined cheekbones, so I used this to give a slight contoured effect. $1 Now the fun part! I used URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil
“perversion” to lightly outline the inner and outer portions of my top and bottom lash lines. I smudged this out with a pencil brush. Then I used the shade “black” from my LORAC - PRO Matte Eye Shadow Palette
to intensify the smokiness. I made sure to keep the space directly in the middle of my eyes blank on both upper and lower lash lines. I then drew a thick wing on the outer corner of each eye, topped with black shadow, and smudged inwards. I couldn’t tell if the model was wearing mascara, but I added 1 quick coat of URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara
to add an extra pop to my eyes. For lips, I lightly blotted COLOURPOP - Ultra Matte Lip
“little one” (limited edition, no longer available) to add a hint of nude to my lips. Then I topped with the ICONIC - Lip Plumping Gloss
in “nearly nude” . This gloss is super glossy and wet looking - perfect for ultra juicy-looking lips! This look was so fun to create. Unlike the Hermès look, this isn’t something I would personally wear day-to-day, but for Halloween or the runway it’s perfect! It’s so hard not to smile in photos 🤪 #CheriePartner

Urban Decay 24/7 liner dupes?
My go to form of eyeliner has always been pencil. But I have very oily, hooded eyelids, and even with eye primer, most don’t last all day. One of my co workers turned me on to URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil two years ago but at $22 I didn’t run right out and buy it. But after months of tries and fails, I finally broke down and bought it. It really does stay all day. My only complaint, besides the price, is that it can be tough to sharpen to a nice point. So in the age of apps like tik tok and Cherie, I found there may be a dupe for my favorite eye liner, with out the price tag! The two brands that kept coming up as top competitors were BH Cosmetics and NYX. #BH Cosmetics - Power Pencil waterproof liner[products]#[FourStars] goes on very smooth. But I need to sit with my eyes closed until it sets or I’ll have black rings on my lids (yay, hooded eyes). It is not rub proof, but does have staying power. And it’s $9! The next liner I tried was NYX - Epic Wear Liner Stick I really wanted this to be a hit. I can find it everywhere and it’s $8. It’s easy to sharpen to a point. But unfortunately, it does not have staying power on my hooded, oily lids. Have you found a good dupe to the cult classic Urban Decay? What’s your go to eye liner?

Eyeliner Colors for Brown Eyes
For the longest time I had only black eyeliners, but in the last year I’ve been more attracted to playing with color. Here are 3 shades I’ve found to enhance my dark brown eyes~ 🪁teal / purple: teals and purples go well with brown. Not sure why, but a little smudge of this on my waterline or lash line makes my eyes stand out while being subtle. This one is Glossier. - Colorslide Technogel Eye Pencil in Hardcore Velvet. ☕️ brown: I really thought brown liners were for people who couldn’t handle black, but after watching a brown vs black eye liner vid, I had to get my hands on one. It’s almost like contour for your eye. A small smudged wing and extending the line just passed the tear duct leads to a beautiful cat eye effect that somehow looks natural. This one is PACIfICA - Vegan Waterproof Eyeliner in Fringe 👑 gold: I’ve had this gold liner for a while now and it’s perfect for all my gold makeup needs. Again, gold and brown is a winning combo! This is the URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in.. tbh the shade name has rubbed off, but it’s the gold one lmao Who said brown eyes are boring? Let me know if you have any other colors fit for dark eyes :)

Dewy, Springy Vibe
I’m baaaaack! After a long hiatus due to health reasons, I finally feel healthy enough to actually do my makeup! Hooray! I had some fun with the NATASHA DENONA - Eyeshadow Palette 5 in Peak which is such a great palette. I also cheated and used bareMinerals - Gen Nude Eyeshadow Palette in “Soul” in my crease. Both of these shadow palettes are fantastic and very easy to work with/blend. The color payoff is great as well, especially the Natasha Denona shadows. I’ll be posting another look soon with the bareMinerals palette so you can get more of an idea of how gorgeous this collection is, so stay tuned. I’m still loving Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid because no matter how dull and dry my skin is looking, this serum can bring me back from dead-looking to hydrated and bright. I’m off to get vaccinated! Wish me luck 💕

Lit From Within Glowwww✨😍
I recently started using these 4 products for almost 2 weeks now & I’m never turning back!!! •YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream •YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Oil •YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask •Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid I have never had such a consistent glow to my skin since starting these! I get complimented daily! I love these products so much. The two Youth To The People creams absorb so quickly & don’t leave it feeling like you have all this junk on your face either. My previous moisturizer would always pill up once I went to put anything else on my face & these don’t do that! The Glossier serum is also extremely light & doesn’t clog pores which is something I was worried about initially. It comes out in this pinkish color but it doesn’t turn your skin any other, it just gives you a dewy look. & the Youth To The People serum is amazing of course! It literally gives me this glow like no other! A little bit goes a very long way, as with most of their products. Now I just need to clear up the little bit of texture I have left in my chin! I blame it on the fact that I went out quite a bit the last week (church, grocery shopping, random errands) & of course wore a mask the whole time! Resulting in some maskne 😢 But that is just temporary! As is every blemish! I definitely recommend trying these products guys! They are HOLY GRAILS if there ever was one! @cherie@Cheriebeauty@CheriePick

90s Makeup Pt. 2
I had so much fun making my first look, I had to do a second! Make sure to check that one out, too. This look is much more grungy. It’s inspired by popular celeb looks with worn-in, black-rimmed eyes and dark lipstick. Products I Used & Why: Primer: touch in SOL - No Poreblem Primer Great for smoothing without feeling silicone-y. This is in my October monthly makeup basket. No other reason for choosing Foundation: ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 “ST 3 Balos” and PÜR - 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 “porcelain”. I chose these 2 because celebs often wore lighter foundation tones (or orange, but I don’t like that look LOL). The combo of these 2 is still natural but provides medium coverage. The Pür is a bit light for me. Concealer: e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer “light peach”. Celebs often wore concealer that was a little or much lighter to draw attention to their eyes. Eyes: URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil “perversion”. I did a thin line on my upper lash line, then used a pencil brush (not sure of brand) to smoke it out kind of messily. Celebs’ liner looked like they’d been wearing it all day (or night) long. I then added a bit more liner at my lash’s roots to intensify the effect. For my spidery lashes I used URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara . I smudged the shade “black” from the LORAC - PRO Matte Eye Shadow Palette with the same pencil brush under my eyes. Since I have hooded eyes, some of the smudged liner did transfer into my crease a bit. I think it adds to the worn-in vibe. Cheeks: KEVYN AUCOIN - The Contour & Highlighter Duo “contour” to lightly sculpt my nonexistent cheekbones and tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in “thrilled” (nude pink) on the upper portion of my cheeks to add a hint of color to my cheeks and lift my cheekbones up. Lips: ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick “heathers” for a deep ox blood red pout. Shades of red, burgundy, and brown were also very popular in the 90s to pair with this kind of look! I finished off this look with my hair in a bun to accentuate my makeup. What’s your fave 90s makeup style?! #CheriePartner

90’s Makeup Pt. 1
I grew up in the 90s and had fun looking back on some styles of makeup back then. This is the first of 2 looks I created inspired by the 90s. I had so much fun doing this one that I decided to do a second. Look for that one shortly! Products I Used & Why: Primer: touch in SOL - No Poreblem Primer No reasoning, I just like this primer (good for smoothing) and it was already on my vanity. Foundation: PÜR - 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 “porcelain”. I chose this because it’s a little bit too light for me. Looking back at the 90s, many celebs either wore foundation that was a little too orange or a little too light for their skin. Concealer: e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer “light peach”. I chose this because it’s a bit too light for me. The 90s was characterized by bright under eyes to draw attention to them. I prefer ELF’s hydrating camo formula but this was my previous holy grail concealer. Eyes Blue eyeshadow is the first thing I thought of when I decided to do 90s-themed makeup. Many celebs rocked this color, though not always in the most flattering way. I used 2 single shimmer shades from the indie brand Vanessa’s Vanity. I applied #Vanessa’s Vanity - Blue Moon[products]#[FourStars] (medium blue jeans-esque) all over my lid and blended up into the crease just below my brow bone. I highlighted my brow bone and inner corners with #Vanessa’s Vanity - Colorado Sky[products]#[FourStars] (frosty very pale blue). For a spidery lash look, I used URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara . This isn’t an eye look I personally love, but it was so fun & easy to create. I’m more of a “pop of blue” kind of gal. Blush: Baby pink and bright pink blushes were so popular. They’re perfect for that “youthful” flush of color. I used one of my favorites (do you see all that pan?!) - HIKARI COSMETICS - HIKARI COSMETICS Blush “cameo”. Instead of adding a light wash of color, I amped this color up and skipped bronzer and highlighter. Now if only I had a bright pink shirt to match like many celebs did! Lips: Both overlined lips and mega glossy lips were all the rage in the 90s. I personally dislike overlined lips, but ya know, I wanted to stay as true to the theme as I could. I used the HUDA BEAUTY - Lip Contour Matte Pencil in “muse” (pinky mauve darker than my natural lip color) to over line the exterior of my lips and the FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in “$weetmouth”. Supppper glossy! The only thing I’m missing from this look is pencil thin eyebrows, but I had to draw the line of commitment somewhere LOL! What’s your favorite decade(s) for makeup? #Cherie Partner

Nude-ish Lip Plumping Gloss - Really Works!
ICONIC - Lip Plumping Gloss This is a beautiful gloss regardless of the lip plumping, but it really does plump my lips! Of course it’s short-term, but it gives a natural-looking plump that gives your lips a fuller look and can be re-applied as needed. Gives a subtle tingling feeling that’s quite pleasant. I love wearing this on its own. It does have some color payoff, and I love that there are no specks in it - just shine. This shade is a beautiful peachy nude that compliments almost any look! This is my go-to lip gloss for daily wear and for glam. It can be a tiny bit tacky, but not in an uncomfortable or sticky way at all. Sometimes it’ll build up just a bit, but it’s very easily touched up by rubbing your lips together or dabbing it with a napkin or your finger. When I want to get a better plumping effect, I put this on my bare lips before I start my makeup, then later either reapply or go in with a lipstick.

2021 Fashion Week Inspired Makeup - Hermès
This look is inspired by models for Hermes for 2021 spring/summer fashion week. This look focuses on super dewy skin and a bold, red lip as the center of attention. This look was really easy to recreate and something I would actually rock IRL (except for the lack of mascara because mascara is bae). I’ve included the inspo photo from Allure. To add a glowy base to my complexion, I used Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid . I only ever use 1 pump of this oil-serum hybrid because I think any more makes me look like a grease ball. I applied this all over my face and dabbed a tiny amount onto my eyelids. This product is perfect for applying on bare skin, under makeup, and can even be used over makeup for a natural, wet-looking highlight. After I applied my complexion products, I dabbed a tiny amount onto the high points of my cheekbones. Sticking with the dewy theme, I used the ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 in “balos”. I’m not sure if the models were wearing complexion products because their skin looked super natural, yet also “flawless”. Since I have some redness on my cheeks, I used this skin tint to even out my skin tone and amp up the dew. I lightly concealed underneath my eyes with the e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer in “light peach”. The models don’t appear to be wearing any cheek products, though I did add a tiny bit of AOA studio - Sculpt FX Contour in “fawn” to help sculpt my cheeks a tiny bit like the models. I finished the look off with the SEPHORA COLLECTION - Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick in “always red”. I’ve had a mini of this for quite a while. It’s beautiful, comfortable despite being matte, does leave a tint behind, and is long-wearing. This is the kind of lipstick that would last from the runway well into the after party (in non-COVID times, of course). The models don’t appear to be wearing any mascara, so I skipped that. I filled in my brows a bit more than usual for a fuller appearance. I used the essence - Superlast Eyebrow Pomade Pencil in “dark brown”. Such a fun look! You guys it’s sooo hard not to smile. How do models do it?! 🤪 Look for another fashion week look soon. All brands are cruelty-free except for Sephora Collection. Prices: futuredew $24, skin tint $46, concealer $6, contour stick $1, lip stain (full size) $15, brow pencil $3.50 #Cherie Partner

Products I REGRET Buying 💀👎🤦‍♀️
Hey Cherie Sisters! 👯‍♀️ 💗 ⚠️First of all, I just want to say that these items didn’t personally work for me. You might love some of these products I listed and that is totally okay and I want to put a disclaimer that what didn’t work for me might work for you so take my words with a grain of salt. •WNW MAKEUP SPONGE I LOVE my beauty blender and truly believe that the OG is the best, but it isn’t cheap so I’m always looking for alternatives. I love the RT one and this is even cheaper than that so I decided to give it a go. Some reviews claimed this the exact dupe of BB and some even claim that this is better than BB. The texture of this is a bit rough and the sponge holes are a bit large so it imprinted when I applied my foundation. This emphasized my large pores rather than smooth it out. This also made my foundation + under eye look atrocious. I tried using it to apply my baking powder instead and it was still awful. Maybe I got a bad batch? I’m not sure. Save your $$$ and spend a couple dollars on the RT one. •ELF 16HR CAMO CONCEALER Tarte Shape Tape is my HG concealer and some reviews claimed this is a dupe. However, this is way too drying especially on the under eye area. I also don’t like the texture of it. It is much thicker than my shape tape and a bit harder to blend. It also kept moving around even after baking it. I do have very dry skin so maybe the hydrating concealer might work for me better? I have to try it and get back to you. I still have this item 3 stars because it works great as an eye primer, but just awful on the complexion •TATCHA THE ESSENCE I don’t hate this product per se, but I can live without it. This has premium and clean ingredients, but I didn’t see it make much of a difference. Also for $95 USD (for 150 mL) I just don’t think it’s worth it 😔 •JSC MINI ORGY PALETTE The large orgy palette’s quality is great. However, the mini one is lackluster and isn’t comparable to JSC’s usual standard. I have been refunded and they allowed me to keep this product so I’m happy. I heard that they are recalling this palette as well so I think that’s a good business move on JSC’s end, but it just sucks because the shades look so beautiful in the pan •HOURGLASS AMBIENT LIGHTING POWDER I got sucked in to the hype and bought this. I don’t see a difference. It didn’t make my skin more luminous. I applied multiple layers to my face and still didn’t see anything. It lacks pigment which is disappointing for $48. It doesn’t work as a highlighter either. Sigh •COLOURPOP LIQUID LIPSTICKS CP is one of my favorite products, but I hate all their liquid matte lipsticks. I find it too drying, crumbly and low quality •KYLIE EXTENDED PEACH PALETTE This is Colourpop quality so why did I pay $45 for it? •MILK LONGWEAR GEL LINER This claims to be a “long wear” liner, yet it smudges like crazy even after setting with black eyeshadow. It also sticks to my contact lenses like crazy What products do you regret purchasing? Francesca 💋

Liners to make your eyes POP! 👀🤩
Liners to make your eyes POP! 👀🤩
I was never one to wear eye makeup on a daily basis. My makeup of choice would probably be a good brow gel and/or a concealer (I recommend Glossier. - Boy Brow and NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer ) Then one day I started hopping on the neon liner trend and I have and will never. go. back. It’s such an easy way to make your look so much more interesting with minimal effort (my fashion and beauty motto). I picked up the these Sephora liners because they were super affordable and I wasn’t sure I could commit to the Dior liners that I had heard about. Listen. These liners are amazing!! They both have a felt tip and do not budge after a long day. Best of all, it is easy to remove or fix if you mess up because we all know doing the perfect wing liner is a PROCESS. Only downside is that I wish Sephora made these liners in more vibrant colors, like a red, yellow, pink...maybe even green!!

DIY COLOR CORRECTING MAKEUP ✨💄🦋
DIY COLOR CORRECTING MAKEUP ✨💄🦋
Hey guys! What’s up? Today, I thought I’d do a little experiment: I wanted to try making my own color correcting concealer. I just really wanted to know if it was possible to correct my skin with what I already have. So, if you’re wondering how I made this work, it’s simple. I used the ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Subculture Eyeshadow Palette and MORPHE - Hint Hint Skin Tint in the shade “Ivory”. The Subculture palette has the perfect selection of colors for this. I used Roxy (peach disguises dark spots on fair to light skin), Untamed (green neutralizes redness and helps conceal blemishes), Edge (yellow combats discolorations such as broken capillaries and age spots), and Rowdy (purple brightens dullness and counteracts sallow tones). Because my biggest issues are redness and dark circles around my eyes (who else doesn’t sleep well?). I used my Roxy and Untamed mixtures to counteract those colors. Depending on the depth of the eyeshadow colors you choose, you may use more or less of your foundation to create the right color for your skin tone. If you’re just looking to do some color correcting maybe once or twice, I’d definitely suggest trying this out. It was so much fun and it’s totally customizable to your skin! After I had my colors all blended out, I wanted to know what it would look like under a full face of makeup! A list of all the products I used to create my final look: LANCÔME - Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation in 110 C. I like this foundation for its medium-full coverage. It’s also very breathable and doesn’t dry my skin out or cause my sensitive skin too much irritation. Too Faced - Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Concealer in “Cloud.” Yes, I am as pale as a cloud. This concealer is so full coverage that I don’t think I need to color correct under it. If you need full coverage concealer, this is definitely worth a try. L'ORÉAL - Unlimited Bendable Mascara (I didn’t see an option for it, but mine is actually Darkest Brown) this mascara is really great at separating and lengthening and I actually had someone ask me if I had eyelash extensions when I wore it, one day. e.l.f. - SRSLY Satin Lipstick in Crème. I’ve seen MannyMua use this color a lot recently, and I really wAnted to try it out. COLOURPOP - Super Shock Highlighter in Flexitarian. Glossier. - Boy Brow + Brow Flick Duo in Brown. KVD VEGAN BEAUTY - Ink Liner in Mad Max Brow Tarte Park Avenue Princess Contour Palette. (Was this limited edition? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.)

The l
topshopbeauty products The liquid highlighter in shade Misty is beautiful for cool and light skin tones (it comes in 3 colours), the formula is gorgeous, the finish is velvety, but not sticky. I would say this is similar to ctilbury Flawless Filter. I love to mix mine with foundation, moisturiser or CC/BB when I want some extra glow (or did not sleep enough). Can be used in either of these combinations, under or on top of foundation (i.e cheek bones, nose bridge, etc). The Eye Pencil in shade Treasured is waterproof and dries to a smudge proof finish. I think this colour really complements my brown eyes. True story: after taking this pic (obv wearing a white shirt), I quickly wanted to wipe it off. Guess what? No chance 💪🏻 I had to wash it with water and soap. So very impressed.

today i went super chill bc i’m having a picnic with my boyfriend 🥰 MAYBELLINE - Great Lash Washable Mascara i like the lengthening quality of this mascara, though it runs super easy. makes my lashes look naturally beautiful though OFRA - OFRA Highlighter this highlighter is GORGEOUS. i got a sample in an ipsy bag ages ago and i adore it 😍 SERAPHINE botanicals - Berry + Juice - 100% Vegan Lip Gel i also got a sample of this in (the same) ipsy bag. it’s shimmery, smells great, and gives my lips a pretty natural but better glowy color. i’m obsessed!

I love a good pink monochrome look, for this I took inspiration from Sanrio’s Charmmy Kitty 🎀 although I don’t think I made it much justice. I’ve been loving grabbing inspiration from characters from my childhood to do my makeup, or just from different interests that you wouldn’t think you could get inspo from! Monochrome looks are still my go-to since they’re so easy to do, but I’ve been feeling very limited since my eyelids are so hooded ✌️😔 if you have any looks for hooded eyes I could try please refer me! Or if you have hooded eyes lmk how you do your makeup ☺️
