2021 Fashion Week Inspired Makeup - Chloé

RebeccaSuzanne_Says
This is the second spring/summer 2021 fashion week inspired look I did. Make sure to check out my other Cherie post for my Hermès look. This look inspired by Chloé focuses on smoldering, smudged out black-rimmed eyes, dewy skin, and juicy nude lips. The eye look was particularly interesting to me because of the blank spaces in the center of the model’s lower and upper lids. The base of this look is the same as my Hermès look. I’ve included the inspo photo that I found on Allure. Complexion: Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid
- this oil-serum hybrid is perfect for adding a glowy base on bare skin, under makeup, or over makeup on the high points of your face for a natural, yet wet-looking highlight. I used 1 pump all over my face under my skin tint, and a tiny bit dabbed on the tops of my cheek bones after my skin tint. $24 ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40
“balos” - light coverage to even out my skin tone and also amp up the dew. $46 e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer
“light peach” - I used 2 tiny dots under my eyes to add some coverage. $6 #AOA Studio - Sculpt FX Contour[products]# “fawn” - the model does not appear to be wearing any cheek products; however, has beautiful, defined cheekbones. I don’t have defined cheekbones, so I used this to give a slight contoured effect. $1 Now the fun part! I used URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil
“perversion” to lightly outline the inner and outer portions of my top and bottom lash lines. I smudged this out with a pencil brush. Then I used the shade “black” from my LORAC - PRO Matte Eye Shadow Palette
to intensify the smokiness. I made sure to keep the space directly in the middle of my eyes blank on both upper and lower lash lines. I then drew a thick wing on the outer corner of each eye, topped with black shadow, and smudged inwards. I couldn’t tell if the model was wearing mascara, but I added 1 quick coat of URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara
to add an extra pop to my eyes. For lips, I lightly blotted COLOURPOP - Ultra Matte Lip
“little one” (limited edition, no longer available) to add a hint of nude to my lips. Then I topped with the ICONIC - Lip Plumping Gloss
in “nearly nude” . This gloss is super glossy and wet looking - perfect for ultra juicy-looking lips! This look was so fun to create. Unlike the Hermès look, this isn’t something I would personally wear day-to-day, but for Halloween or the runway it’s perfect! It’s so hard not to smile in photos 🤪 #CheriePartner

Two best eyeliners that aging-eyes must have! 👀
Finding an eyeliner in your golden years can be tricky. The skin around your eyes is thin enough as it is, making it extremely vulnerable to loose skin, fine lines, and wrinkles. Throw in must-haves, like a liner that won’t run, smudge, flake, or irritate your eyes, and hunting down your perfect match can seem virtually impossible. Today, I'm gonna share with you guys some great eyeliners that are really suitable for matural skin with aging-eyes. MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner   $26.00 Glides on effortlessly and lasts for up to 12 hours. It comes in a gorgeous array of colors that are richly pigmented and contain no glitter, which can not only look a little juvenile, but irritate your eyes — especially if you wear contact lenses. The base of this stick even has a camouflaged pencil sharpener, so you can take it on the go with no fear of ever having a dull tip.  They are so soft and glide on like butter and after waiting a minutes or 2 they dry and literally DO NOT MOVE which is a blessing because with the crazy looks you can do because of the amazing shade range it promises no bleeding. This series have lots of color, and for daily makeup, they have amazing pigmented black that is perfect for the waterline. URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil $22.00 This eye pencil is a creamy, richly pigmented one that glides on super smooth - no dragging or skipping - stays soft for blending, then dries to a long-lasting finish that won't budge. Benefits: Long-lasting, colored eyeliners available in 39 vibrant, stay-true shades. Trust me, it can definitely live up to its name! We don’t know what you’ll love more: the silky consistency that goes on oh-so-smoothly (no pulling or tugging here!), or the fact that there’ll be no flakes, smudges, or bare spots anywhere in sight! For aging-eyes with many winkles, some eyeliner will make me  look like a raccoon. With urban decay that does not happen. These eyeliners stay where they are supposed to.  The magenta is great for a pop of color and can n be blended with eye makeup. They glide on, there is no tugging of your eyelids.

90s Makeup Pt. 2
I had so much fun making my first look, I had to do a second! Make sure to check that one out, too. This look is much more grungy. It’s inspired by popular celeb looks with worn-in, black-rimmed eyes and dark lipstick. Products I Used & Why: Primer: touch in SOL - No Poreblem Primer Great for smoothing without feeling silicone-y. This is in my October monthly makeup basket. No other reason for choosing Foundation: ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 “ST 3 Balos” and PÜR - 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 “porcelain”. I chose these 2 because celebs often wore lighter foundation tones (or orange, but I don’t like that look LOL). The combo of these 2 is still natural but provides medium coverage. The Pür is a bit light for me. Concealer: e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer “light peach”. Celebs often wore concealer that was a little or much lighter to draw attention to their eyes. Eyes: URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil “perversion”. I did a thin line on my upper lash line, then used a pencil brush (not sure of brand) to smoke it out kind of messily. Celebs’ liner looked like they’d been wearing it all day (or night) long. I then added a bit more liner at my lash’s roots to intensify the effect. For my spidery lashes I used URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara . I smudged the shade “black” from the LORAC - PRO Matte Eye Shadow Palette with the same pencil brush under my eyes. Since I have hooded eyes, some of the smudged liner did transfer into my crease a bit. I think it adds to the worn-in vibe. Cheeks: KEVYN AUCOIN - The Contour & Highlighter Duo “contour” to lightly sculpt my nonexistent cheekbones and tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in “thrilled” (nude pink) on the upper portion of my cheeks to add a hint of color to my cheeks and lift my cheekbones up. Lips: ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick “heathers” for a deep ox blood red pout. Shades of red, burgundy, and brown were also very popular in the 90s to pair with this kind of look! I finished off this look with my hair in a bun to accentuate my makeup. What’s your fave 90s makeup style?! #CheriePartner

This look is inspired by models for Hermes for 2021 spring/summer fashion week. This look focuses on super dewy skin and a bold, red lip as the center of attention. This look was really easy to recreate and something I would actually rock IRL (except for the lack of mascara because mascara is bae). I’ve included the inspo photo from Allure. To add a glowy base to my complexion, I used Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid . I only ever use 1 pump of this oil-serum hybrid because I think any more makes me look like a grease ball. I applied this all over my face and dabbed a tiny amount onto my eyelids. This product is perfect for applying on bare skin, under makeup, and can even be used over makeup for a natural, wet-looking highlight. After I applied my complexion products, I dabbed a tiny amount onto the high points of my cheekbones. Sticking with the dewy theme, I used the ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 in “balos”. I’m not sure if the models were wearing complexion products because their skin looked super natural, yet also “flawless”. Since I have some redness on my cheeks, I used this skin tint to even out my skin tone and amp up the dew. I lightly concealed underneath my eyes with the e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer in “light peach”. The models don’t appear to be wearing any cheek products, though I did add a tiny bit of AOA studio - Sculpt FX Contour in “fawn” to help sculpt my cheeks a tiny bit like the models. I finished the look off with the SEPHORA COLLECTION - Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick in “always red”. I’ve had a mini of this for quite a while. It’s beautiful, comfortable despite being matte, does leave a tint behind, and is long-wearing. This is the kind of lipstick that would last from the runway well into the after party (in non-COVID times, of course). The models don’t appear to be wearing any mascara, so I skipped that. I filled in my brows a bit more than usual for a fuller appearance. I used the essence - Superlast Eyebrow Pomade Pencil in “dark brown”. Such a fun look! You guys it’s sooo hard not to smile. How do models do it?! 🤪 Look for another fashion week look soon. All brands are cruelty-free except for Sephora Collection. Prices: futuredew $24, skin tint $46, concealer $6, contour stick $1, lip stain (full size) $15, brow pencil $3.50 #Cherie Partner

Futuredew more like futuregrease 🥴🌿
This is my second bottle of this product because I purchased two when I was trying it out. Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid It is a great product however not really for its intended purpose........😙 Instead of giving a glow I would definitely say it gives me more of a grease appearance. It works great as an oil that nourishes though, it has Sweet Almond Oil and Jojoba as well as many others! I put this on before bed and I feel I have seen a difference in my red skin calming down just a bit. It has fragrance that smells like herbs though (and essential oils) so non-fragrance people beware !!!! ❌ 🤠 I would also say that if you wait a few hours for this to dry or just apply way less than the two pumps Glossier recommends, it gives more of the effect it intended. I would still not apply to your nose if you have an oily nose because whooooo man when I waited a few hours, the rest of my skin had more of a glowy look but my nose still was very greasy. Uwu. Overall I would say it’s a great oil serum and if you wait a few hours or maybe a little more it will give you more of the glowy effect. I hope everyone has a nice day!

90’s Makeup Pt. 1
I grew up in the 90s and had fun looking back on some styles of makeup back then. This is the first of 2 looks I created inspired by the 90s. I had so much fun doing this one that I decided to do a second. Look for that one shortly! Products I Used & Why: Primer: touch in SOL - No Poreblem Primer No reasoning, I just like this primer (good for smoothing) and it was already on my vanity. Foundation: PÜR - 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 “porcelain”. I chose this because it’s a little bit too light for me. Looking back at the 90s, many celebs either wore foundation that was a little too orange or a little too light for their skin. Concealer: e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer “light peach”. I chose this because it’s a bit too light for me. The 90s was characterized by bright under eyes to draw attention to them. I prefer ELF’s hydrating camo formula but this was my previous holy grail concealer. Eyes Blue eyeshadow is the first thing I thought of when I decided to do 90s-themed makeup. Many celebs rocked this color, though not always in the most flattering way. I used 2 single shimmer shades from the indie brand Vanessa’s Vanity. I applied #Vanessa’s Vanity - Blue Moon[products]#[FourStars] (medium blue jeans-esque) all over my lid and blended up into the crease just below my brow bone. I highlighted my brow bone and inner corners with #Vanessa’s Vanity - Colorado Sky[products]#[FourStars] (frosty very pale blue). For a spidery lash look, I used URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara . This isn’t an eye look I personally love, but it was so fun & easy to create. I’m more of a “pop of blue” kind of gal. Blush: Baby pink and bright pink blushes were so popular. They’re perfect for that “youthful” flush of color. I used one of my favorites (do you see all that pan?!) - HIKARI COSMETICS - HIKARI COSMETICS Blush “cameo”. Instead of adding a light wash of color, I amped this color up and skipped bronzer and highlighter. Now if only I had a bright pink shirt to match like many celebs did! Lips: Both overlined lips and mega glossy lips were all the rage in the 90s. I personally dislike overlined lips, but ya know, I wanted to stay as true to the theme as I could. I used the HUDA BEAUTY - Lip Contour Matte Pencil in “muse” (pinky mauve darker than my natural lip color) to over line the exterior of my lips and the FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in “$weetmouth”. Supppper glossy! The only thing I’m missing from this look is pencil thin eyebrows, but I had to draw the line of commitment somewhere LOL! What’s your favorite decade(s) for makeup? #Cherie Partner

Nude-ish Lip Plumping Gloss - Really Works!
ICONIC - Lip Plumping Gloss This is a beautiful gloss regardless of the lip plumping, but it really does plump my lips! Of course it’s short-term, but it gives a natural-looking plump that gives your lips a fuller look and can be re-applied as needed. Gives a subtle tingling feeling that’s quite pleasant. I love wearing this on its own. It does have some color payoff, and I love that there are no specks in it - just shine. This shade is a beautiful peachy nude that compliments almost any look! This is my go-to lip gloss for daily wear and for glam. It can be a tiny bit tacky, but not in an uncomfortable or sticky way at all. Sometimes it’ll build up just a bit, but it’s very easily touched up by rubbing your lips together or dabbing it with a napkin or your finger. When I want to get a better plumping effect, I put this on my bare lips before I start my makeup, then later either reapply or go in with a lipstick.

Fav light coverage
The ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 is the only foundation I HAD to run out and pick up immediately after trying one sample. The formula is SO lightweight it feels like nothing in the skin. It blends in effortlessly with my fingers to give light coverage. I just add a little concealer where I want more coverage. It doesn’t emphasize my texture or dry areas whatsoever and looks so natural. Plus it’s SPF 40 which I love. I do set this but it’s no where near as dewy or oily as I expected it to be (it’s more natural satin) and it wears beautifully throughout the day. For me it’s the perfect quick Summer option. Definitely worth the price tag in my opinion. The only reason it only gets 4/5 stars is because they need to expand their shade range!

Products I REGRET Buying 💀👎🤦‍♀️
Hey Cherie Sisters! 👯‍♀️ 💗 ⚠️First of all, I just want to say that these items didn’t personally work for me. You might love some of these products I listed and that is totally okay and I want to put a disclaimer that what didn’t work for me might work for you so take my words with a grain of salt. •WNW MAKEUP SPONGE I LOVE my beauty blender and truly believe that the OG is the best, but it isn’t cheap so I’m always looking for alternatives. I love the RT one and this is even cheaper than that so I decided to give it a go. Some reviews claimed this the exact dupe of BB and some even claim that this is better than BB. The texture of this is a bit rough and the sponge holes are a bit large so it imprinted when I applied my foundation. This emphasized my large pores rather than smooth it out. This also made my foundation + under eye look atrocious. I tried using it to apply my baking powder instead and it was still awful. Maybe I got a bad batch? I’m not sure. Save your $$$ and spend a couple dollars on the RT one. •ELF 16HR CAMO CONCEALER Tarte Shape Tape is my HG concealer and some reviews claimed this is a dupe. However, this is way too drying especially on the under eye area. I also don’t like the texture of it. It is much thicker than my shape tape and a bit harder to blend. It also kept moving around even after baking it. I do have very dry skin so maybe the hydrating concealer might work for me better? I have to try it and get back to you. I still have this item 3 stars because it works great as an eye primer, but just awful on the complexion •TATCHA THE ESSENCE I don’t hate this product per se, but I can live without it. This has premium and clean ingredients, but I didn’t see it make much of a difference. Also for $95 USD (for 150 mL) I just don’t think it’s worth it 😔 •JSC MINI ORGY PALETTE The large orgy palette’s quality is great. However, the mini one is lackluster and isn’t comparable to JSC’s usual standard. I have been refunded and they allowed me to keep this product so I’m happy. I heard that they are recalling this palette as well so I think that’s a good business move on JSC’s end, but it just sucks because the shades look so beautiful in the pan •HOURGLASS AMBIENT LIGHTING POWDER I got sucked in to the hype and bought this. I don’t see a difference. It didn’t make my skin more luminous. I applied multiple layers to my face and still didn’t see anything. It lacks pigment which is disappointing for $48. It doesn’t work as a highlighter either. Sigh •COLOURPOP LIQUID LIPSTICKS CP is one of my favorite products, but I hate all their liquid matte lipsticks. I find it too drying, crumbly and low quality •KYLIE EXTENDED PEACH PALETTE This is Colourpop quality so why did I pay $45 for it? •MILK LONGWEAR GEL LINER This claims to be a “long wear” liner, yet it smudges like crazy even after setting with black eyeshadow. It also sticks to my contact lenses like crazy What products do you regret purchasing? Francesca 💋

I wanted to create a subtle dewy look. I wanted to use the least products possible. I personally think it looks pretty cute, considering I’m really new to eyeshadow. ☺️☺️ I used the Jackie Aina Anastasia Beverly Hills palette. It’s super pigmented and beautiful! I made sure to prime my eyelids before applying shadow on. On the bottom eyeliner I used shades “Ginger”, matte caramel brown & “Wiggalese”, metallic cranberry red with a tiny bit of “edges”, matte peach. I mixed those 3 together to create a sunset orangey color. On the top eyeliner color I used a tiny bit of “Ginger” and “Dwollahs”, metallic golden olive. ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Jackie Aina Eyeshadow Palette For my brows I used the it cosmetics brow powder pencil in universal taupe. I used a small amount and tried to make my brows look as natural as possible. it Cosmetics - Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil I used my current favorite glossier mascara. It makes my lashes look really long and really pretty. Also the wand has the right amount of product and not excess like others. I highly recommend this. Glossier. - Lash Slick Mascara For my cheeks and lips I used the tower 28 Beach please tint in the shade “magic hour”. This has become my summer staple. It leaves my face dewy but not looking super sweaty. I use the smallest amount and it looks natural. TOWER 28 - BeachPlease Luminous Tinted Balm For a glossy look on my lips I used my holy grail elf lip lacquer in clear. it Cosmetics - Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil

I’m no expert on makeup, but I do have fun creating different looks. This is just a more natural everyday look. Products Used: BECCA - Zero No Pigment Virtual Foundation lol this is definitely a “gimmick” and I knew that when I bought it. It’s basically a primer, but it’s actually quite hydrating and very cooling when you apply it to the face. It does blur our imperfections so 👍🏻 for that! MORPHE - Hint Hint Skin Tint in “Ivory.” This has a serum-like consistency and it gives light-medium coverage. It’s lightweight and hydrating giving you that dewy, glowy finish! tarte - SEA Hydrocealer Concealer I love hydrating products. I tend to be more on the dry side, but it also adds to the dewy finish. tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in “Captivating.” I love this shade. Nuff said. Tarte Park Avenue Princess Contour Palette MORPHE - Morphe X Manny MUA Glam Palette I used the shade “Zaya” on the lid and “Apollo” for my highlight. I love me some Manny and his Morphe palette is so great for creating everyday makeup looks. Glossier. - Boy Brow + Brow Flick Duo in “Brown.” I’m still loving this duo. tarte - Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara this mascara is buildable, but my favorite things about it is the lifting and lengthening effect it gives my lashes. COLOURPOP - So Juicy Plumping Gloss it’s cute and not too sticky!

Super Quick Natural Glam ⚡️
Super Quick Natural Glam ⚡️
Here's a quick natural glam look I did using warm tones and lots of shimmer! All of these products are favorites and I use them daily! 1. I started by concealing my dark marks with the KEVYN AUCOIN - The Sensual Skin Enhancer Concealer this is a creamy concealer with very high coverage! It's my favorite way to conceal on the face, but a bit too thick for the under eye area in my opinion. 2. I brush the PATRICK TA - Major Brow Shaping Wax into my brows for a thick, feathery look! I use the clear shade. This is the onlt brow product that I use because I tint my brows. 3. Under the eyes I use the PAT McGRATH LABS - Sublime Perfection Concealer it doesn't crease, has high coverage and blends so easily! 4. I used the RÓEN - 75° Warm Eye Shadow Palette the shadows in this palette are a very unique formula! They can be applied with your fingers or a brush and are like a putty texture. The shimmers look wet when applied with the finger and diffuse nicely with a brush. 5. On the cheeks I applied Kosas - Color & Light: Cream Blush & Highlighter Duo and Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color in the shade Dusk. 6. The ILIA - Limitless Lash Mascara is the best mascara that I've used! The brush has two different types of bristles that really help to build volume and length! 7. Finally I finished off the look with FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in Fenty Glow!

DIY COLOR CORRECTING MAKEUP ✨💄🦋
DIY COLOR CORRECTING MAKEUP ✨💄🦋
Hey guys! What’s up? Today, I thought I’d do a little experiment: I wanted to try making my own color correcting concealer. I just really wanted to know if it was possible to correct my skin with what I already have. So, if you’re wondering how I made this work, it’s simple. I used the ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Subculture Eyeshadow Palette and MORPHE - Hint Hint Skin Tint in the shade “Ivory”. The Subculture palette has the perfect selection of colors for this. I used Roxy (peach disguises dark spots on fair to light skin), Untamed (green neutralizes redness and helps conceal blemishes), Edge (yellow combats discolorations such as broken capillaries and age spots), and Rowdy (purple brightens dullness and counteracts sallow tones). Because my biggest issues are redness and dark circles around my eyes (who else doesn’t sleep well?). I used my Roxy and Untamed mixtures to counteract those colors. Depending on the depth of the eyeshadow colors you choose, you may use more or less of your foundation to create the right color for your skin tone. If you’re just looking to do some color correcting maybe once or twice, I’d definitely suggest trying this out. It was so much fun and it’s totally customizable to your skin! After I had my colors all blended out, I wanted to know what it would look like under a full face of makeup! A list of all the products I used to create my final look: LANCÔME - Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation in 110 C. I like this foundation for its medium-full coverage. It’s also very breathable and doesn’t dry my skin out or cause my sensitive skin too much irritation. Too Faced - Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Concealer in “Cloud.” Yes, I am as pale as a cloud. This concealer is so full coverage that I don’t think I need to color correct under it. If you need full coverage concealer, this is definitely worth a try. L'ORÉAL - Unlimited Bendable Mascara (I didn’t see an option for it, but mine is actually Darkest Brown) this mascara is really great at separating and lengthening and I actually had someone ask me if I had eyelash extensions when I wore it, one day. e.l.f. - SRSLY Satin Lipstick in Crème. I’ve seen MannyMua use this color a lot recently, and I really wAnted to try it out. COLOURPOP - Super Shock Highlighter in Flexitarian. Glossier. - Boy Brow + Brow Flick Duo in Brown. KVD VEGAN BEAUTY - Ink Liner in Mad Max Brow Tarte Park Avenue Princess Contour Palette. (Was this limited edition? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.)
