“Natural”/“Clean Beauty” Faves

I’ve been slowly trying to incorporate products made from ingredients that are good for the skin and are derived from more organic, sustainable, and ethical means in general. These brands I’m featuring are all cruelty-free and vegan. I have more products from these brands in my collection. I just chose a few to feature and use in a makeup look (swipe through for photos!). ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40
This skin tint contains niacinamide, squalane, & hyaluronic acid, as well as zinc oxide 12% to provide some SPF. It should be noted you still need to apply SPF as part of your skincare routine to ensure adequate protection! I have shade “ST3 Balos”. It’s a pretty good match for me, considering it sheets out quite a bit. It provides a very dewy finish, so I often apply a bit of powder. It feels so good on my dry skin. It’s coverage is very light, allowing skin to shine through. I’m not currently supporting Ilia due to their lack of inclusivity; however, this is a very good product and worth the hype. $46 CLOVE+HALLOW - Conceal + Correct
This has light-medium, lightweight coverage. Personally I prefer more coverage, but this is a nice concealer for lighter coverage days. It’s not the best shade for me (“02”), but C+H is working to expand the range more. C+H products are made with 15 ingredients or less, and are ethically sourced! $21 (PR from brand - I’m an affiliate). CLOVE+HALLOW - Hydratint Blush Serum
This blush is beautiful! Made me fall in love with the brand before becoming an affiliate. It has a dewy finish, so perfect for dry skin. Easy to blend with fingers, sponge, or brush. Mine is the shade “velvet” and I’m eying “blossom”! $19 SERAPHINE botanicals - Palmetto + Pillow Hydrating Matte Lip Stain
This formula is comfortable and leaves behind a slight stain. This one is “nude cream”, and I have 2 other shades. The formula is mousse-y and lasts several hours. Contains sunflower, palmetto, & sea palm (just to name a few good ingredients!). $18 (gifted to me by brand). cocokind - Mai-light Rosé highlighter
The giant chapstick packaging is perfect for on-the-go. Contains jojoba, mango butter, & maitake to provide sheer, buildable color. I built it up in my swatch. It’s a beautiful rose gold that would work for a variety of skin tones. Cocokind has 2 other colors. $12 (PR from brand). Nourish - Safflower Shimmer
This is available through the Nourish Beauty Box website. This shimmery gloss is in the shade “vision”. It’s perfect on its own or over another lip color. The sparkles hit the light just right and never feel gritty. It contains safflower and feels ultra moisturizing. I’ve used it a lot but it’s hard to tell though the packaging. I’d love to get other colors! $16 (came in a gifted sub box w/o obligation). What are some of your “natural”/“clean” faves? #CheriePartner

I used the deep brown shade blown out on my lid, into the crease and under my lash line for a soft smokey look. Then used the black shade to add a smudged liner on top MAYBELLINE - Lash Sensational Mascara Full Fan Effect the best mascara of all time 👏🏽 always add definition to the eyes especially important during meetings NYX - Slide On Lip Pencil use the shade red tape to softly outline my lips and then added the LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask to add back hydration Super simple and the eyes pop without being too much and I love it! 🥰 also this is a perfect day time look for the fall with the soft blown out brown smokey eye! Tip: if you are lighter, choose a chocolate shade slightly deeper from your complexion for all over the lid and the same goes for any deeper skin tones than myself, choose a slightly deeper brown to add that smoke to the lid🍂 #cheriepartner

I have to say: the Conceal + Correct concealer is for sure one of the best concealers out there!!! It is so lightweight yet has an amazing coverage and is not cakey! Perfect even for my dry skin! Unfortunately, I got a shade a little too dark so I used it instead of foundation where I need some concealing, blended everything with a beauty sponge and then used the Pressed Mineral Foundation as the setting powder. For this look, I also used the Hydraglow, Lip Glaze in Spicy and the Sunrise Pressed Pigment Palette - amazing pigment and so easy to blend! Some of the shades also work great as highlighter! 👉🏻 Swipe to see my look and swatches.

BLUSH SERUM?! WAAAAHHH🤔🥳
THIS IS SPECIAL YALL! If you have oily skin like myself and love that NATURAL looking skin glow most dry skin girls can achieve with a tone of cream products but you can’t dare to do because power is your best friend🤣 just listen So after I received this product from clove+hallow (all opinions are mine and I’m not required to post or speak about them) this is LEGIT my genuine feeling, I was shook! I never heard of a blush serum and I was sooo confused. And after receiving it and looking at it, I honestly didn’t even want to apply it to my skin because I honestly though this product would look SUPER ashy on my tan complexion 👎🏽 and that’s not cute One day I decided to just try it out to see if I could even use it and I’m not even kidding, I was blown away at the way this blended out on my skin and the colour! 😱 the colour actually melted into my skin beautifully and weirdly enough became darker 😅 I was like “wait whaaattt?!” And yet it packed a punch with just a little bit! So it’s going to last you a while plussss it will give you such a beautiful fresh look to your skin!😍 If you use a matte foundation, and then apply this, blend it with a brush, the finish doesn’t even NEED powder because it sets down into the skin like a powder essentially! 👍🏽 you can then OFC add a little dusting of power to set your skin if need be but my gosh, I’m obsessed I have the shade Nakey, but I’m honestly going to get every single shade of this product because it’s so unique and different and can be used dat to nigh during any season but especially during the summer when you don’t wanna wear too much makeup and want that soft skin like look 👏🏽☺️ #cheriepartner

Horribly Formulated Blush Serum
Shade: Velvet (darkest shade) I was gifted this product which I am thankful for because I would have been upset if I spent money on it. This serum based blush separated from the oil and was horrible to blend. The shade didn’t compliment my skin at all and left me blotchy. I reached out to the company and they were super sweet and offered to send me other products to try. I declined. CLOVE+HALLOW - Hydratint Blush Serum

2021 Fashion Week Inspired Makeup - Chloé
This is the second spring/summer 2021 fashion week inspired look I did. Make sure to check out my other Cherie post for my Hermès look. This look inspired by Chloé focuses on smoldering, smudged out black-rimmed eyes, dewy skin, and juicy nude lips. The eye look was particularly interesting to me because of the blank spaces in the center of the model’s lower and upper lids. The base of this look is the same as my Hermès look. I’ve included the inspo photo that I found on Allure. Complexion: Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid - this oil-serum hybrid is perfect for adding a glowy base on bare skin, under makeup, or over makeup on the high points of your face for a natural, yet wet-looking highlight. I used 1 pump all over my face under my skin tint, and a tiny bit dabbed on the tops of my cheek bones after my skin tint. $24 ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 “balos” - light coverage to even out my skin tone and also amp up the dew. $46 e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer “light peach” - I used 2 tiny dots under my eyes to add some coverage. $6 AOA studio - Sculpt FX Contour “fawn” - the model does not appear to be wearing any cheek products; however, has beautiful, defined cheekbones. I don’t have defined cheekbones, so I used this to give a slight contoured effect. $1 Now the fun part! I used URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil “perversion” to lightly outline the inner and outer portions of my top and bottom lash lines. I smudged this out with a pencil brush. Then I used the shade “black” from my LORAC - PRO Matte Eye Shadow Palette to intensify the smokiness. I made sure to keep the space directly in the middle of my eyes blank on both upper and lower lash lines. I then drew a thick wing on the outer corner of each eye, topped with black shadow, and smudged inwards. I couldn’t tell if the model was wearing mascara, but I added 1 quick coat of URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara to add an extra pop to my eyes. For lips, I lightly blotted COLOURPOP - Ultra Matte Lip “little one” (limited edition, no longer available) to add a hint of nude to my lips. Then I topped with the ICONIC - Lip Plumping Gloss in “nearly nude” . This gloss is super glossy and wet looking - perfect for ultra juicy-looking lips! This look was so fun to create. Unlike the Hermès look, this isn’t something I would personally wear day-to-day, but for Halloween or the runway it’s perfect! It’s so hard not to smile in photos 🤪 #CheriePartner

2021 Fashion Week Inspired Makeup - Hermès
This look is inspired by models for Hermes for 2021 spring/summer fashion week. This look focuses on super dewy skin and a bold, red lip as the center of attention. This look was really easy to recreate and something I would actually rock IRL (except for the lack of mascara because mascara is bae). I’ve included the inspo photo from Allure. To add a glowy base to my complexion, I used Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid . I only ever use 1 pump of this oil-serum hybrid because I think any more makes me look like a grease ball. I applied this all over my face and dabbed a tiny amount onto my eyelids. This product is perfect for applying on bare skin, under makeup, and can even be used over makeup for a natural, wet-looking highlight. After I applied my complexion products, I dabbed a tiny amount onto the high points of my cheekbones. Sticking with the dewy theme, I used the ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 in “balos”. I’m not sure if the models were wearing complexion products because their skin looked super natural, yet also “flawless”. Since I have some redness on my cheeks, I used this skin tint to even out my skin tone and amp up the dew. I lightly concealed underneath my eyes with the e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer in “light peach”. The models don’t appear to be wearing any cheek products, though I did add a tiny bit of AOA studio - Sculpt FX Contour in “fawn” to help sculpt my cheeks a tiny bit like the models. I finished the look off with the SEPHORA COLLECTION - Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick in “always red”. I’ve had a mini of this for quite a while. It’s beautiful, comfortable despite being matte, does leave a tint behind, and is long-wearing. This is the kind of lipstick that would last from the runway well into the after party (in non-COVID times, of course). The models don’t appear to be wearing any mascara, so I skipped that. I filled in my brows a bit more than usual for a fuller appearance. I used the essence - Superlast Eyebrow Pomade Pencil in “dark brown”. Such a fun look! You guys it’s sooo hard not to smile. How do models do it?! 🤪 Look for another fashion week look soon. All brands are cruelty-free except for Sephora Collection. Prices: futuredew $24, skin tint $46, concealer $6, contour stick $1, lip stain (full size) $15, brow pencil $3.50 #Cherie Partner

TOP 5 FAVORITE COMPLEXION PRODUCTS
TOP 5 FAVORITE COMPLEXION PRODUCTS
I’ve been organizing and decluttering my collection and it got me thinking what were the complexion products I’ve been picking up the most? 🤔 Here are my top picks: 1. Kosas Revealer Concealer (Tone 7) : this is the most comfortable concealer I have ever worn! As I get older, my under eyes are more sensitive and I need products that are going to keep them nourished 💖 2. Elf Hydrating Camo Concealer (Medium Beige) : instead of color correcting with an actual color correct, I like to use a warm concealer with balance out discoloration. This concealer does that while also keeping my skin hydrated ✨ 3. Undone Beauty Unfoundation Glow Tint (Almond Latte Medium) : this is the only skin tint I have that doesn’t add more oil than I already have, while also being lightweight 🙌🏽 such a beautiful product! 4. Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Foundation (320) : If I want to get dolled up (which I haven’t done in a while lol) I want to wear something that will look good on camera but not make me look cake-y... this is the foundation for it 😍 5. Kosas Tinted Face Oil (Tone 7) : this tinted moisturizer surprised me because I thought I was going to look like a shiny, oily egg. Surprisingly it does not! The oils sink into the skin so beautifully like a nighttime face oil and it’s beautiful!

🌞 spreading the word of tower 28’s goodies 🌞 So I love this TOWER 28 - BeachPlease Tinted Lip + Cheek Balm ! Such a great cream blush. I’ve only being wearing glossier skin tint/concealer & it’s been a great trio! ~shade: golden hour~ As for TOWER 28 - SuperDew Highlighter Balm , it came in slightly melted and had to throw it in the fridge. However, I love this product! Though it feels super duper dewy (almost too dewy) which isn’t something I reach for all the time but I still really enjoy it! ~no shade (clear)~ They’re such a great *clean* duo, not terribly expensive and guys...this packaging! It’s the cutest compact I’ve ever seen! *pro tip ~ this brand is great for eczema-prone skin!

The Perfect “No-Makeup” Makeup Product
The Perfect “No-Makeup” Makeup Product
I’m not really one for foundation. I usually use a very light foundation if I do wear some — i.e. The Ordinary’s serum foundation. I’m unfortunately a “face toucher” so I can’t be bothered with face make up very often. I usually slap on concealer and bronzer in terms of face make up. With that being said, I’ve been loving the Graydon products I currently have and when I saw that they had a tinted moisturizer primer I had to try it. I read so many good reviews! GRAYDON - Face Glow For 40 mL this cost $24 CAD. I find I only use a tiny bit so the 40 mLs will last me a while. 🍁(PS it’s on sale. Regularly priced at $46 CAD)🍁 After my skincare I’ll pop this onto my face like I would any normal moisturizer. I use such a small amount and find it blends in beautifully. You can use a sponge or a brush but I’m lazy so I just use my fingers lol. This is perfect for a “no makeup” makeup look. The tint is gorgeous and gives me a healthy glow/complexion. Your skin looks radiant without looking like you’re wearing anything! I think it could work on most skin tones if you also wanted to just apply it as a highlight to your cheek bones or brow bones, or even under makeup as an actual primer. My concealer sits nicely over top of this and doesn’t cake or crease :) And with my bronzer I get a nice sun-kissed glow. I haven’t noticed any break outs, which is always good! 👌🏻 Haha! Why It’s Amazing: + It firms skin and improves elasticity with semi-precious smithsonite +Your skin glows with mineral-rich sustainably sourced mica +It brightens your complexion with ellagic acid rich raspberry seed oil +It minimizes the appearance of dark circles and spots with nutrient rich spirulina +It soothes your skin with aloe vera juice and zinc-rich pumpkin seed oil +It renews your look with skin nurturing sea buckthorn seed oil +It shields your face against the elements with non-nano zinc +It protects your skin from environmental stressors with rich buriti oil 100% recommend ❤️

My maybelline collection 🎶
My maybelline collection 🎶
I love maybelline, I love how affordable they are and how long their products usually last. you can find them at almost every supermarket and drugstore, I’ve found that their products are usually life savers...well most of the time. The worst maybelline products that I’ve tried ⬇️ - maybelline cheek heat blush - I was really excited for this prouduct, but I found that it was liquidy, streaky, and barely had any pigment. I used almost a quarter of the bottle and I still couldn’t see any color. You have to wait for it to dry down too so it’s annoying to put on. As much as I wanted to like this product, I couldn’t 💔 MAYBELLINE - Cheek Heat Gel-Cream Blush - maybelline superstay remover. What’s even the point of this? A makeup wipe can get it off just as easy. I found that it actually got it on more places when I was smearing it around. Any normal makeup remover would do the same thing. Not to mention it tastes terrible and it used a lot of the stick just to remove a small amount of superstay lipstick. MAYBELLINE - SuperStay Eraser Lip Color Remover Remover Maybelline 24 hour lip color - I didn’t see any pigment in this. it basically just made my lips ridiculously dried out and nothing else. 💋 MAYBELLINE - Super Stay 24 Hour Lip Color - maybelline Great lash waterproof, not the worst product ever but The waterproof formula wasn’t very good and it still came off and was smeary. I think great lash can be used subtly, but anything else ends up looking super clumpy. 🎶 MAYBELLINE - Great Lash Waterproof Mascara Now with my favorites, and the mehhhhs. I had all of this written out but I accidentally deleted it, so sorry if this sounds rushed. - Maybelline super stay. (There’s a full review of this on my profile) this is my favorite makeup product of all time for sure. MAYBELLINE - SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick - maybelline superstar full coverage powder foundation, This isn’t as full coverage as a liquid foundation, but I still love it because I can’t stand wearing liquid foundation. My only complaint is that it seems to run out quickly. MAYBELLINE - SuperStay Full Coverage Powder Foundation And here are the products that I felt like were what you’d expect, nothing really stood out about them. - MAYBELLINE - Master Fix Setting + Perfecting Loose Powder - MAYBELLINE - SuperStay Ink Crayon Lipstick ( doesn’t last as long as the liquid lipstick, but it’s still very long lasting and pigmented) - MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Blush - MAYBELLINE - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer

LOVE Cloud Paint, can’t find a dupe
LOVE Cloud Paint, can’t find a dupe
I typically try to find drugstore makeup unless I fall in love with a more expensive product. I LOOOOVEEE cloud paint so much and I have Storm and Dusk and have seriously considered buying all the shades! 2nd pic is my current LinkedIn picture, I always joke I credit Glossier Cloud paint for my look that day 😂 For me, Storm can be a bit dark so I save it for when I want to look more rosy or dress up a bit. Dusk is perfect for a more natural look because on me it’s almost light brownish/tan (but not on all skin tones). I’m currently torn between trying drugstore dupes or getting more from Glossier 🤪 Any drugstore recs out there?!

Loved concealers ✨✨
Loved concealers ✨✨
I don’t use concealers all the time but when I do I use one of my 4 trusty concealers. I have 2 affordable and 2 pricey ones. Glossier stretch concealer in the shade G11: when I want a lightweight concealer I always pick this one. It’s a light to light medium coverage. It’s great for a no makeup makeup look. It blends easily and I use my fingers. It’s pretty hydrating as well so if you have oily under eyes and want to try this then you’d need to set it with powder. This is $18 on glossiers website. Glossier. - Stretch Concealer Wet n wild photo focus concealer in the shade light ivory: this is about medium coverage. It stays put all day and it’s pretty creamy. I find it’s best to use this with a sponge instead of my fingers. I’ve always found that this is a great dupe for the nars creamy concealer. This varies in price from $3.50-$5.00 it’s still very affordable. wet n wild - Photo Focus Concealer NARS Radiant creamy concealer in the shade vanilla: this is a really great product. Medium coverage and best with a sponge for me. It conceals great without looking like I’ve applied too much. It hides my dark circles and veiny areas on my face. Great product that I’d recommend. Really pricy $30. NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer Elf 16 hr camo concealer in the shade fair rose: now this is a full coverage concealer. I only need a tiny amount of this. I only use this for special events or if I want slightly more coverage. It blends really nicely. It’s full coverage without it being super thick and I love that. Definitely great that it’s on the affordable side. $6 e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer
