Practicing My Wedding Makeup!

RebeccaSuzanne_Says
I’m getting married in two weeks - ahhhhh!!! My fiancé and I are having a very small ceremony and dinner with close friends/family on 9/6. Next summer we’ll have a big celebration when things are safer (hopefully). I’m going to be doing my own hair and makeup. I’ve practiced a couple times, but this look is the highest contender (judge being my very picky and natural beauty-loving fiancé). I wanted a look that provided soft definition and glowy skin. I’ve reviewed a few of these on Cherie before, and recommend all of these items. Face: touch in SOL - No Poreblem Primer
raved about this before, great for all skin types, somewhat covers pores, extends wear of makeup URBAN DECAY - Stay Naked Weightless Foundation
lightweight, medium-buildable coverage, natural matte finish (my shade is 30NN) e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer
excellent coverage, not drying, stays put (my shade is “light peach” HOURGLASS - Ambient Lighting Edit Volume 4
this was limited edition from 2018, but you can get a very similar bronzer from their permanent line, and the finishing powders are sold as singles too. Provides a bit of luminosity and gives the skin an ethereal finish. Hourglass products are expensive, but worth it. tarte - Hamptons Weekender Contour Palette
I used the bronzer and blush from this. Great palette for fair-medium skin tones. Bronzer leans more neutral. Charlotte Tilbury - Beauty Highlighter Wand
i used the shade “spotlight” (silvery/pinky). It looks melted into my face! It’s absolutely stunning but a bit pricey ($38), so I’d give it 4.5/5 stars. Eyes: persona - Identity Eyeshadow Palette
high-quality, buttery shimmers, creamy mattes. MILANI - MILANI Eyeshadow Primer
I use this all the time. It’s great for the price! I did apply some random false lashes from Shop Miss A but I can’t find which ones. Mascara would work just fine. Lips: I forgot to feature my lip products in the flat lay, so I tagged them in my “selfies”! I used Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipstick
in “Pillowtalk” with lilah b. - Luxe Lip Oil Mini Duo
shade “b elegant” on top. Pillowtalk is a my lips but better shade (pink-ish) and “b elegant” lip oil is a nude gloss. Love the color combo!! There are NO filters on these photos, by the way! Photos of myself taken in natural lighting. #CheriePartner

Glowing Natural-glam Fall Makeup
Natural glam is some of my favorite makeup to rock, and fall makes it even better with all of the delicious warm tones and golds. I always love to play up my eyes and highlight to get a lit from within glow that complements the warm neutrals I use for my shadows and lips. Using the inspiration of golden hour and the changing colors of the leaves never fails 🍁 For my eyes, I used a mixture of NATASHA DENONA - Mini Nude Eyeshadow Palette and my HUDA BEAUTY - The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette to get the perfect mix of warm tones and golds. I start by blending the camel color from natasha in my crease, and deepen it with the next darkest brown in the palette (a chocolate) on my outer V. I take my finger and press crave from huda onto the center of my lid, layering my highlight on the inner corner and smoking my lower lash line out with the same chocolate colour. The duo-chrome shadows in the huda palette is extra fun, and adds extra dimension to the look; I love the shift of crave and daydream. I add a dot of highlight to the center of my lower lash line as well. I dont line in this look, but use a few coats of a dark black mascara like CHANEL - LE VOLUME DE Waterproof Mascara which doesn’t smudge or flake, and applies easily with little clumping for long and voluminous lashes. I darken my brows to give a more structured look to my eyes. I’ve been loving the Rare Beauty - Brow Harmony Pencil and Gel which makes my brows look naturally tinted and sculpted for a more elegant look. I didnt contour in this look, but layered on benefit - Hoola Matte Bronzing Powder liberally with a darker bronzer powder still in a warmer shade CHANEL - LES BEIGES HEALTHY GLOW Sheer Powder I don’t contour because for this look i’m sticking with only warm tones, and my contour shade is cool. I mix in my blush, EM COSMETICS - Heaven’s Glow: Magic Hour Blush which truly transfers the colour of magic onto the face, and top it with my Charlotte Tilbury - Beauty Highlighter Wand that melts into the skin and gives a heavenly glow. For my lips, I used a mix of Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipstick and EM COSMETICS - EM Cosmetics Lip Cushion for perfect warm nude pink tones. What’s your go-to look? Would you try this out? Let me know what you think down below! 💕

This weekend I will be traveling(safely) and these are the makeup products I will be taking, not including my makeup brushes. Kosas - Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer It's the concealer I've been using the most this year. shade 04. COVER FX - Pressed Mineral Powder Foundation I hit pan on this product and I'm trying to finish it up. it's a great product for oily skin. Good skincare for life.
I’ve been obsessed with skincare and makeup since I was a little girl. I made my own masks, I religiously cleansed my face day and night once I started wearing makeup and I used treatment products and moisturizers long before I needed them - that is key! Start a skincare routine as early as you can. If you think your skin is perfect and doesn’t need anything, think about the decades coming! Start now! Here’s the thing- skincare (and makeup) don’t have to be complicated or expensive. I regularly blend drugstore products with high end products. Honestly, many of the drugstore products turn out to be my favorites. Full disclosure, I use a crap ton of skincare products and I change up my routine as needed. I rarely put on a full face of makeup but I do wear some makeup 5-6 days of the week because it makes me feel pulled together and I like how it looks. No apologies necessary for daily make up wearers- do what makes you feel good! No shame in self care, ever! Today felt like a full-face-of-makeup day for some reason, so I had some fun and put it all on. Here are some of my fave products and what I used today: 1. Day old hair with Toni & Guy matte hair powder. 2. Cleanse face with Clarisma CLARISMA - Malibu Blush Exfoliating Scrub - the enzymes in this cleanser keep my face smooth and glowing. Follow with some quick swipes of Pixie Glow Tonicpixi - Glow Tonic allow to dry then mix one drop The Ordinary Niacinamide & ZincThe Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% with The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% + HAThe Ordinary - Matrixyl* 10% + HA , half pump Clarisma Cali Dreaming Cream Moisturizer,CLARISMA - Cali Dreaming Cream Daily Moisturizer massage in and appy a dab of Roots Sensitive Eye Cream to eyes. When my face is dry I apply a layer of Drunk Elephant Umbra Tint SPFDRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 . 3. Prime my oily skin with Smashbox Photo Finishsmashbox - Photo Finish Foundation Primer Super Light , one little drop each Lancôme Tint Idole FoundationLANCÔME - Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation and Shiseido Perfect Refining FoundationSHISEIDO - Perfect Refining Foundation SPF 15 , Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Multi Use ConcealerMAYBELLINE - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer for under eyes, Elf Hydrating Camo Concealere.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer (just discovered this!), Undone Cream BlushUNDONE BEAUTY - LIP TO CHEEK 3-IN-1 CREAM PALETTE , tiny bit of Bare Minerals VeilbareMinerals - Mineral Veil Setting Powder Broad Spectrum SPF 25 on t-zone, Shiseido lash curlerSHISEIDO - Shiseido Eyelash Curler , Covergirl Total Tease mascaraCOVERGIRL - Total Tease Waterproof Mascara , NYX brow powderNYX - Eyebrow Cake Powder , Rimmel grey eyeliner, a few pats of a terracotta colored eyeshadow by Illuminati,bh - Illuminating in Ireland 6 Color Highlight Palette Sephora chunky crayon brow enhancer, Florence lip glossflorence by mills - Get Glossed Lip Gloss Duo . Last, I like to spray a couple spritzes of Herbivore Rose Face SprayHERBIVORE - Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Mist to get a satin look. This seems like a lot, but it takes maybe 6-8 minutes. I apply my foundation, concealer, cream blush and eye shadow by hand. Always have, always will. My skin isn’t perfect, but it’s pretty good and I owe it to taking care of my skin for more than 30 years. Unfortunately, I grew up in an era we didn’t talk about sunscreen and sun damage. I baked in the sun and eeeeek, tanning beds. Surprisingly, my skin isn’t horrible but I definitely see the damage. I’m currently working on undoing some of that damage. Morale of the story, take care of your skin and enjoy the process. I do!

how to hide acne and breakouts
swipe for no makeup, post skincare look! my skin type: sensitive, combo, acne prone, rosacea my skin concerns: redness, hyperpigmentation, breakouts my skin color: usually a light neutral shade works well for me :) Today I’ll be doing makeup and focusing on hiding my acne and redness! DISCLAIMER: your acne doesn’t make you less of a person or “ugly” or anything like that. It’s okay to have acne, and I promise no one is looking at you. But sometimes my self confidence is low and covering up makes me feel better. Things I avoid: + I don’t set my makeup w/ a powder most days, but I especially don’t with my heavy breakouts. I find that when I powder my face, it makes my face dry or clings to my acne and makes it look crusty. A dewy look works out better for me! + matte products + products with high concentration of alcohol Things I look for: + hydrating products + medium coverage products that can be layered + sunscreen! Products in order + innisfree - Daily UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 36 if you’re not using sunscreen, you’re (1) missing out, (2) damaging your skin and (3) stopping your skin from healing properly. Your acne will only get worse if you don’t wear sunscreen. I think this one is good for light skinned people, it would probably leave a white cast on darker skinned folks. I just apply this with my fingers gently! + laura mercier - Hydrating Foundation Primer keeping your skin hydrated is also v important to reducing breakouts, as well as keeping your skin balanced. This primer from Laura Mercier is really nice at providing a great hydrating base for makeup. (Always use a moisturizer too)! This product is absolutely decadent and luxe and expensive haha. I apply it with my fingers, being sure to let it dry down before moving on and adding more in spots that need it. + e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer I go in with my camo concealer before AND after my tinted moisturizer. I tap it on the acne I want to conceal with my finger, and then let it sit for about thirty seconds, and then tap it in with a beauty sponge and let set. I love this concealer because it’s affordable AND works well. It doesn’t accentuate my acne for the most part. + FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 I love this tinted moisturizer from FAB. I don’t wear foundation much these days, but this is a really good lightweight alternative. It’s also NON-COMODOGENIC, meaning it’s not going to clog your pores! I use a sponge with this as well and I’m careful not to swipe it, as it will disrupt my concealer placement. + e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer after my tinted moisturizer (and my last step), I dab this on any breakouts or redness patches that haven’t been covered up yet. There are sometimes quite a bit by this point, just depending on the size and color of acne. Darker or bigger spots are obviously hard to hide, but I don’t mind.

{Brown Eyes} Easy Matte Brown Eye Pictorial
Do you like to wear eyeshadow that is the same color as your eyes? I sure do! I have brown eyes, and I think that brown shadow makes my eyes look so...cozy. Is that weird? LOL. Anyways, I definitely recommend trying shadow that’s the same color as your eyes. For brown eyes, I also love orange, purple, and green. I prepared a simple matte eyeshadow pictorial using the DOSE OF COLORS - Baked Browns Eyeshadow Palette . This palette contains 5 warm-toned brown shadows ranging in depth and undertone. These shadows are very powdery and very pigmented, so less is more! The formula is smooth and easy to blend. It retails for $32, but you can sometimes find it on sale. DOC has a bunch of these 5-pans, so there’s bound to be a color story you’ll like. I used all 5 shades in this pictorial. This look took me about 5 minutes total. I apply my eyeshadow first except for lower lash line prior to doing my base makeup. I have hooded eyes, so I don’t do a lot of “complicated” eye looks (like cut creases) because the effect can get a little lost + time consuming (for me). Steps: Pre-prep: Prep your eyes with eye primer or concealer and set with translucent powder or the shade “tea light” (pale cream) depending on your skin tone. 1. Using a flat or fluffy brush, apply the shade “deserted” all over your lid and into your crease. 2. Using a fluffy blush, blend “outdoorsy” into your crease. 3. Using a smaller fluffy brush, gently stamp “cherry wood” onto your outer corner, then blend slightly inwards onto your lid and into your crease. 4. Using a flat definer or angled brush, apply “rock bottom” across your upper lashline. You can make this as intense as you want! **Blend your edges with a clean brush or one of your used fluffy brushes dipped into “tea light** 5. Use a pencil or flat definer brush to apply a tiny amount of “cherry wood” onto your outer lower lash line. Blend out with “deserted” or “outdoorsy” (I used “deserted” for a softer effect. Highlight under your brow arch and inner corner with “tea light”. 6. Add mascara. Not a fan of all matte eyes? Tap a shimmer shade from another palette on the inner 1/2 or 3/4 of your lid. Other eye products used: MILANI - MILANI Eyeshadow Primer (I’ve talked about this many times) the Balm cosmetics - Mad Lash Mascara (still testing this) #CheriePartner

Is Glitter Primer Worth It?
TLDR: YES glitter primer is worth it Some people choose not to use actual eye primer. I personally do on a daily basis - the MILANI - MILANI Eyeshadow Primer . Some choose to use concealer, and if that works for you, that’s awesome. So why would you need a glitter primer, especially if you aren’t someone who wears glitter? Keep reading! I own the NYX - Glitter Primer . It’s affordable (approx. $7), cruelty-free, and widely available. I have a large eyeshadow palette collection. Some of my palettes are a few years old (like my tarte - Maneater Eyeshadow Palette V2 - mine is original version which you can’t get anymore but v2 contains same shades) and the shimmers don’t perform as well. You can use a glitter primer to amp up the intensity of lackluster shimmers! I swatched the shade “foxy” on dry skin w/ no primer, over the Milani primer, and over the NYX glitter primer. The swatch with the glitter primer is more shimmery and the shadow looks like how it used to 3-4 years ago. The glitter primer also holds onto shadow much better and will increase wear time. Glitter primer is great for, you guessed it, glitter. Now, admittedly I own a few COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Glitter and will flat out warn you they’re not technically eye safe. I regret buying a bunch of them but that’s a story for a different time. I have used the glitter glue to adhere these glitters to my eyes and I experience almost 0 fall-out. That’s incredible! The glitter primer can also be used on your body if you’re into body glitter. By the way, the shade I’m showing is the shade “fyre” - a gorgeous green. You can see in the swatches the glitter primer makes the glitter much more opaque and it adheres to the skin significantly better. I recommend looking for eye safe glitter. The NYX’s texture is quite tacky, so be sure to finish applying any other matte shadows before using this because it will be difficult to blend on top. I use this glitter glue most often for my older shimmer shadows. It’s also great for this of us with hooded eyes (raises hand) that experience a ton of shimmer transfer into the crease. It won’t completely stop the transfer, but it definitely helps. I fully recommend adding a glitter primer to your primer collection. At this price point, it’s a steal for the quality! #CheriePartner

Easy Job Interview Glam
When it comes to my ~professional~ glam, I like to keep things minimal but still make sure to contour and highlight the appropriate areas – the goal is a soft glow that accentuates your features without looking too much. I think it’s also important to apply powder, especially if you’re like me and have oily skin and are prone to sweat when you get nervous lol. Keeping shine in mind, I like to opt for mattifying complexion products and powder formulas when it comes to bronzer, blush, and highlight - but these days, my favorite bronzers and blushes are cream formulations. For the eyes, I think all you need is a little sweep of mascara and/or liner depending on what you’re into. To really make them pop and elevate your look, I like to go in with a neutral eyeshadow to give the eyes more definition and make myself look more put together. And for the finishing touch, all you need is your favorite lipstick. I feel like any color goes and your glam can be a great way to let your personality shine through. These are the products I use: REVLON - Photoready Candid Glow Moisture Glow Anti-Pollution Foundation MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultra HD Self-Setting Concealer MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara FENTY BEAUTY - Match Stix Matte Skinstick – for a natural-looking contour, I like to warm the product up on the back of my hand and then I pick it up from there with an angled bronzer brush. MERLE NORMAN - Cheek Crayon - like with the contour stick, I recommend applying creme blushes to your hand first and picking it up from there. This gives you more control when you apply it and really helps you build it up to that natural-looking flush. I also love to add a little to my eyes to sub in for eyeshadow. Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder – if you're on the oilier side like me, I've found that you need to apply this powder all over and do so about 2-3 times. It's a little annoying, but it creates such a gorgeous glow that you really look airbrushed and it's totally worth it. PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Butter Highlighter – make sure you dab the excess off or you’ll look ~crazy~ glowy. I learned this the hard way. Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipstick

✨👄 SATIN Lips Trend!
There are so many ways and looks for your lips. For me, I tend to be active most of the time and when I go out, I lean towards a natural lip color and look. The satin lips look is a great final addition to a make-up look that is not too fussy, or to balance bold smoky eyes which I love as well. The look is a natural look that has a luxurious satin-matte and hydrating soft finish on the lips. To create this lip look, I start with using a lip balm on the lips. My go-to lip balm now is the 100% natural EOS sphere lip balm infused with wild-grown shea butter and hydrating coconut and jojoba oils that feels so moisturizing and heals dry lines on my lips. I use this every other hour everyday. It can also be conveniently found in most drugstores and supermarkets at a low price. eos - Super Soft Shea Lip Balm Triple Mint To make my lips look more defined and last longer, I go over my moisturized lips with the NYX Professional Makeup Suede Matte Lip Liner in Soft-Spoken. The velvety, matte lip glides on effortlessly and stays on for a few hours. For its low price of $3.99, it is value for money as it stays on for a few hours well. While it did not survive food and drink, that is fine as I usually will touch up after a meal. Still, it provides a hint of color and base for my lipstick to create a creamy and moisturized satin lip look. The lip liner is also vegan and scentless which is a plus for me. NYX - Suede Matte Lip Liner To top off my lips with color, I use cult product Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk. Formulated with nourishing ingredients like vitamin E, safflower seed oil, corn oil and lipstick tree oil, the lipstick allows my lips to stay hydrated and creamy looking. Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipstick Antioxidants and orchid extracts in the lipstick formula also leave my lips looking youthful with a long-lasting wash of colour. I really like the square angled tip that mimics the shape of a lip brush for precise application. The color is simply flattering for most skin color! The neutral rose blush shade enhances the natural hue of my lips for a gorgeous fuller pout. For the price of $34, I find that it’s higher than some lipstick brands but thisbest-selling lipstick is a must-have in every purse in my opinion. To apply, roll the lip color straight from the bullet all over moisturized and lined lips.

Primerize me, Cap’n! 🦜
Good evening, everyone! Been a busy week for me, so sorry for lack of posts. I got a new mini lighting booth for my Poshmark store and wanted to test it out tonight. Pretty pleased so far 😁 Here are three primers that I’m currently playing with. My tried and true is the Benefit Porefessional Primer. I honestly don’t use it under makeup; I use it to blur my skin and then use translucent powder over it to keep me from getting oily on “no makeup” days. I love the illumination of the pearl version as I still get a healthy little glow going. I’ve yet to try the Laneige one, but have wanted to for a while now. Thankfully, Sephora has been offering samples with orders so I got a couple. The TIS one is a classic Korean primer. It’s probably the only one that has ever worked for me under makeup. My combo skin typically just breaks down any and all primers, so I never use them under makeup. Remember to hydrate and check your WiFi 😘

90s Makeup Pt. 2
I had so much fun making my first look, I had to do a second! Make sure to check that one out, too. This look is much more grungy. It’s inspired by popular celeb looks with worn-in, black-rimmed eyes and dark lipstick. Products I Used & Why: Primer: touch in SOL - No Poreblem Primer Great for smoothing without feeling silicone-y. This is in my October monthly makeup basket. No other reason for choosing Foundation: ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 “ST 3 Balos” and PÜR - 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 “porcelain”. I chose these 2 because celebs often wore lighter foundation tones (or orange, but I don’t like that look LOL). The combo of these 2 is still natural but provides medium coverage. The Pür is a bit light for me. Concealer: e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer “light peach”. Celebs often wore concealer that was a little or much lighter to draw attention to their eyes. Eyes: URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil “perversion”. I did a thin line on my upper lash line, then used a pencil brush (not sure of brand) to smoke it out kind of messily. Celebs’ liner looked like they’d been wearing it all day (or night) long. I then added a bit more liner at my lash’s roots to intensify the effect. For my spidery lashes I used URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara . I smudged the shade “black” from the LORAC - PRO Matte Eye Shadow Palette with the same pencil brush under my eyes. Since I have hooded eyes, some of the smudged liner did transfer into my crease a bit. I think it adds to the worn-in vibe. Cheeks: KEVYN AUCOIN - The Contour & Highlighter Duo “contour” to lightly sculpt my nonexistent cheekbones and tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in “thrilled” (nude pink) on the upper portion of my cheeks to add a hint of color to my cheeks and lift my cheekbones up. Lips: ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick “heathers” for a deep ox blood red pout. Shades of red, burgundy, and brown were also very popular in the 90s to pair with this kind of look! I finished off this look with my hair in a bun to accentuate my makeup. What’s your fave 90s makeup style?! #CheriePartner

Ranking My Foundations/Skin Tints
I currently have 10 foundations and skin tints in my collection. I like all of them except 1 (keep reading), and a couple are nearing empty. I love trying new foundations and would like to purchase 1 or 2, but not until I finish some! **Ranked from least favorite to most favorite** 10. HOURGLASS - Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick I have “alabaster” (a bit too light). I had a sample size I completely used up and bought a full size in 2018. It just...wasn’t the same. It is more on the full coverage side and is very creamy. It looks both dry and oily on me 🤯 Another Cherie user gave me a tip for application so I’ll try this again soon. $46 9-8. Kosas - Tinted Face Oil Foundation I have the shades 3.5 (gifted by the brand) and 2.0. 3.5 is way too dark for me (will de-clutter). I purchased a lighter shade, and it’s much better. It is a dry oil formula and super lightweight. Provides very little coverage. Unfortunately, it clings to my dry patches a little too much. $42 7. CLOVE+HALLOW - Liquid Skin Tint I have “03”. The shade range is limited and this isn’t a perfect match for me. It’s a bit too yellow. It has medium coverage and a satin matte finish. I need to prep my skin super well before using or else it can look dry around my nose. It’s about 1/2 gone and I wouldn’t repurchase. Sent as PR by the brand & I am an affiliate. $26 6. PÜR - 4-In-1 Love Your Selfie Longwear Foundation & Concealer I have a sample in “LN2”. The shade is a bit too light and pink for me. Medium-full coverage with a natural finish. I only ranked this lower due to the shade. This comes in approx. 100 shades! $36 5. YENSA - Skin on Skin BC Foundation I have a sample in “light neutral”. Pretty good shade for me. Medium-full coverage, natural finish, SPF 40. It can sometimes look a bit dry on me, but i like it. $38 4. ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 I have “Balos”. I love this for summer and when my skin is really dry. Super dewy finish, light coverage, SPF 40, wears well. Had good ingredients that actually help my skin look better when it’s really dry. I need to powder it if I use powder products on top. $46 3. COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Tinted Moisturizer I have light 5N. Light buildable coverage, dewy finish, feels moisturizing, and wears well. The shade isn’t perfect for me but pretty good. $14 2. CATRICE COSMETICS - HD Liquid Coverage Foundation I have light beige. Not a perfect shade match (a little more pink) but pretty good. Natural finish, medium-full coverage, very long-wearing. Shade range lacks. $11 1. URBAN DECAY - Stay Naked Weightless Foundation I have 30NN. Very similar formula + coverage to the Catrice + super lightweight. Better shade range. Wears so well! Will always have this in my collection. $39 #CheriePartner

old Hollywood glam inspired makeup
This makeup and hair was inspired by Audrey Hepburn in “Sabrina.” I have always loved Audrey’s simple yet sophisticated makeup looks, and her trademark bold, straight eyebrows. “Sabrina” is one of my favorite films, just for the gorgeous costumes and makeup looks alone. I’ve found some awesome and affordable brands for getting glowed up, or if you just want cheap makeup to experiment with! 💪🏻 All of the above are approved drugstore makeup that work on my dry skin to blur fine lines and smooth out discoloration and redness.

pastel pink eyeshadow look w/ new purchases!
pastel pink eyeshadow look w/ new purchases!
I have always wanted to do a pink eye look but I never had the right palette for it! I recently purchased some new products (mainly from elf) so here’s a look with some of my new purchases that I used!! 💓 BEAUTY BAY - Bright Matte 42 Colour Palette The shadows are very pigmented and blend easily! When I dipped my brush in the shadows looked dusty but I didn’t get any fallout and they performed nicely. I 100% recommend this palette because you get 42 shades that are good quality for $20.00!!!!! e.l.f. - Flawless Finish Foundation I have dry combo skin and this foundation looks beautiful on my skin!!!! It has a moussey texture/consistency that gives you a velvety finish. It’s medium coverage for me but definitely buildable and doesn’t leave me cakey at all, it also blends really well. It’s a $6 foundation that feels luxurious so it can’t hurt to try it out! e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer One of my new favorite concealers. It has a thick consistency that is gives you a lot of coverage. A little goes a long way when you’re applying. Since it does have a thicker texture, it’s a bit difficult to blend in comparison to a concealer that is creamier; like the loreal infallible pro-glow concealer or the maybelline fit me concealer. However, it is and feels very hydrating it doesn’t dry my under eyes at all. Overall I do love it and will be repurchasing and using when I want more coverage. e.l.f. - e.l.f. Contour Palette Absolutely love! I recently fell in love with cream bronzing and this gives me exactly what I want. It does give you a nice sharp contour; however I love it for warming up my face. This palette gives me a nice bronzey and tan look while making it look natural at the same time. It blends nicely and is very creamy so it’s easy to work with. 💓 All in all, I was very satisfied with these products that I included in this look. I have more new purchases that are arriving soon and can’t wait to try out and share my thoughts on here!

P I N K 💗

This is classic for pink lovers! I’m attempting a crossover between the soft girl/ e girl aesthetic and I’m pretty happy with the results! I started with a simple light pink eyeto blend it with a brighter, neon pink and top it with my shiniest glitters. After that I drew a dramatic winged liner to tie everything together but the main focus are lips and cheeks! I put a lot of bright cool toned pink blush on cheeks and nose and then drew a heart on in with concealer. For the lips I used a pink lipstick topped with a gloss to help me diffuse the colour and give some shine. Worth it or not? MAC And COLOURPOP highlighter
Worth it or not? MAC And COLOURPOP highlighter
MAC. Soft&gentle Highlighter   Price: US$36 I bought this because the shade of double Gleam is out of stock. But it’s beyond my expectations. I usually use it on my cheeks. It’s shimmery but not overly shimmery, you know? My skin was plumped immediately after I apply it. It’s glowing no matter what angles you are looking from. Besides that, it quite long-lasting. Not only the highlighter itself, but also the look it finishes is quite beautiful to me. I thought the shade would be a little bit darker. But once it was applied to my skin, the shimmer and the tone are just perfect match for me. It’s so natural.  Colourpop Lunch Money Price: US$8 I’m always loyal to colourpop. I never made mistakes in choosing colourpop products. I really want to talk about all of my colourpop products. Here I will take this Colourpop highlighter as a start. Compared to MAC Soft&gentle, I thought this lunch money could be the dupe in some case. Firstly, the price of MAC soft&gentle is almost 5 times than Colourpop Lunch Money. Secondly, the shimmer of lunch money is similar to Soft&gentle. They are both easy to apply with fingers. MAC soft&gentle is definitely worthy. But colourpop Lunch money is more affordable. And the iconic formula is literally fancy. By the way, I would choose Lunch money when I hang out and clubbing with my girls.
