A+ Base Products

RebeccaSuzanne_Says
Starting off with a good base is important because it sets the foundation (no pun intended!) for the rest of your makeup. Whether you like more coverage or less coverage, make sure you take the time to prep your skin with products that you love and work for your skin. Let your skincare and SPF sink in for several minutes at minimum before applying any makeup! About me: fair/light neutral-ish undertones, dry skin Preferred foundation coverage: medium Preferred concealer coverage: medium - full Primer: Choose a primer that aligns with your skin type and desired effect. Because I have dry skin, I tend to avoid mattifying/oil controlling primers. I do like pore-filling ones near my nose and cheeks, and hydrating ones for winter time. My year-round pick is the touch in SOL - No Poreblem Primer
.This primer has a smooth, silicone-y texture that does blur pores a bit without mattifying or sucking moisture out of my face. Mine’s half empty! $18 Foundation: I prefer a natural finish to foundations. I really love the URBAN DECAY - Stay Naked Weightless Foundation
(30NN) because it provides medium buildable coverage while being insanely lightweight. It feels like nothing on my skin. It also works with different types of primers. I recommend this because it’s long-wearing and has a great shade range. I’m not a high end foundation gal, but this one is worth it. $39 Concealer: I’ve been using the ELF camo line for a while. e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer
(light peach) and I really love it. It’s got medium coverage right out the gate and can be built up. Wears well. The price is unbeatable at about $6! Powders: I have under eye lines and all concealers crease/settle in. It is what it is. I’ve been using the essence - Brighten Up! Banana Powder
for a few years now. It’s got a slight yellow tint to it that adds just a touch of brightness. My concealer is locked in all day and doesn’t look dry or cakey. I wouldn’t suggest it for deeper skin tones, though. $5 For all-over or targeted face powder, I like the Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder
loose powder. You get a ton of product for the price ($29 for 29g) and it’s available in a few shades (mine is “translucent light”). It’s a good powder for all skin, but especially dry, because it doesn’t emphasize dry patches. I don’t necessarily use the UD foundation and this powder together (though I have and it’s great); however, I like to use this powder with dewier foundations or to tame any mid-day oils. Tools I love: AOA studio - AOA Wonder Blender
LUXIE - 732 Airbrush Foundation Brush Protools
e.l.f. - Flawless Concealer Brush
REAL TECHNIQUES - Your Finish/Perfected, Setting Brush
BOXYCHARM - FIVE BRUSH SET WITH BC LOGO POUCH

My Favorite Makeup Brushes & Tools
Good makeup brushes and tools are something you can never have too many of. You also don’t need to spend a lot. I got many of these brushes and tools on sale, from the drugstore or other affordable retailers, free gifts with purchase (GWP), or in subscription boxes over the course of time. Face: e.l.f. - e.l.f. Complexion Brush love this for diffusing bronzer or all over powder F·A·R·A·H brushes - Gold Face Brush Trio the F60 powder brush is great for loose or pressed powder. No issues with it. The other 2 brushes in this trio shed badly, unfortunately. Ulta blush brushes - both of these were free GWPs. Ulta often includes them so I suggest shopping on a day Ulta offers GWPs or large sets because the brushes aren’t available on their own. BOXYCHARM - FIVE BRUSH SET WITH BC LOGO POUCH The foundation brush is thick and dense, perfect for blending foundation. Some of the other brushes shed but not this one. AOA studio - The F6 & E106 Sculpting Brush Duo The F6 amazing for cream blush! Great size. The smaller brush is also good and they come as a bundle for dirt cheap on shopmissa.com LUXIE - 532 Round Top Kabuki Brush Rose Gold I use this for gently stippling cream bronzer, then buff once the product is placed where I want it. Random eyeshadow blending brush - love this for blending highlighter! Came in a sub box years ago. Random tapered highlighter brush - excellent for targeted application of highlighter. Also came in a sub box. AOA studio - AOA Wonder Blender crazy cheap, super soft, blends cream/liquid foundation and cream cheek products like a dream. My favorite Face tools
I use both a beauty blender and brushes. I find it important to get full, blended coverage. When using brushes it best to use “patting” motions to get the most out of your product. It’s also best to use a damp beauty blender for harsh lines (Top👇🏽Bottom) MORPHE - MORPHE X Jeffree Star JS3 Iconic Contour Brush I got this brush on sale at Ulta for $4 (reg. Price $8) (can’t beat it) I like my countour to be a little wide (I have a heart-shaped face). This brush is dense and easy to manage I wasn’t expecting that. REAL TECHNIQUES - Your Finish/Perfected, Setting Brush I honestly need to buy another one of these. I use this for wiping my setting powder away, applying blush,& highlight. It’s such a multi-use brush. I also got this at Ulta on sale for $4.79 (reg. Price =7.99) MORPHE - M439 Deluxe Buffer Brush this is HG foundation brush, I’ll never use another one. It’s dense, easy to clean, blends my foundation out perfectly & gives me the best coverage. I got this from Ulta for $13.74 (coupon) ((reg price $16)) REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Powder Sponge I was super skeptical about this at first but honestly it’s been my favorite way to apply my under eyes & t-zone powder. It’s like a thicker velvet textured beauty blender. You must use wet! Using this dry defeats the purpose of applying powder. I got this from Walmart for $5.99. the CRÈME shop - Teal Next Gen Blender Set (mines are pink). These are my new favorite beauty blenders. They’re not porous (like RT orange ones) and do the job similarly to the original beauty blender. I like that these are two different shapes and allow different styles/placement of blending. I got this from a boxycharm box and loved it . They’re $12 for the set. **promo** Boxycharm link to join and get a coupon code for up to 80% of high end products .. https://www.boxycharm.com/refer/Deborrah-RYKJGNQN

My FAV Foundation for my Skin #CheriePartner
Hey Y’all! So I don’t wear foundation often but when I do I only go for two different ones. Which is The Fenty Foundation (dewy formula) or NYX - Total Control Drop Foundation which is what I’ll be talking about today! 🤎 When looking for a foundation I usually always go for a dewy look. I’m not a huge fan of matte anything. The thing I like about the Total Control drop foundation is that it’s soft matte but can be easily manipulated to give a more dewy look. 🤎 I love the Total Control drop foundation simply because a little goes a long way! I have sensitive combination skin and foundation tends to irritate it. But with this foundation I have found solace! It goes on super smooth and I only need a few drops. I usually go for light coverage as you can see from the pictures. The dropper definitely helps in controlling how much foundation you need. 🤎 Another great thing is that NYX is super affordable and the same applies to this foundation! It’s only about $14 and because you only need a little it lasts for quite a while. I’ve had this bottle for about 6 months and it’s still has a lot! 🤎 When applying the foundation I simply put 1-2 drops on the back of my hand and take NYX - Holographic Halo Liquid Highlighting Brush and dip it in the foundation and just buff it over my skin. I like this brush but I don’t love it. I know it’s a highlighter brush but I just haven’t found a foundation brush that cuts it for me. I would love some suggestions if you guys have some! 🤎 After buffing out the foundation with the brush I take a beauty blender and dip it in the foundation as well to cover any spots I miss. Then I spray the beauty blender with NYX - Dewy Finish Makeup Setting Spray and just blend out a little more this helps add a little bit of a dewy sheen to the foundation. I absolutely love the Dewy Finish setting spray it gives me everything I’m looking for! ✨ In conclusion this foundation is really good and it helps blur out imperfections and has a very buildable formula so it works anywhere from light to full coverage! You can leave it as a soft matte as is or add a nice setting spray to give you any look you desire! ✨I’d love to hear your tips and tricks on foundation and good foundation brush recommendations! ✨ BESOS 😘

Beauty blender dupes ✨
The first makeup sponge I used was the beauty blender pro sponge. I loved it so much. I used it every single day to blend my foundations, blushes, and powders. After using it so much it started looking old and I realized I definitely didn’t want to spend $20 for a sponge. I started trying out so many affordable ones and lots of them didn’t work until... Real techniques miracle complexion sponge, when it’s dry it feels slightly stiff but still nice and soft to the touch. When you wet it it becomes super soft. It blends my foundation very well, similar to the beauty blender at a 1/3 of the price! One of my favorite sponges so far! $5.99 and I’ve found these at marshalls and tj maxx for about $3-4! REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Complexion Sponge Hank & Henry midori sponge set, I got this sponge set in my boxycharm and I really like it. The set had the large and small sponge. Slighter stiffer than the real techniques but a nice sponge. The small one is perfect for blending on the inner corners or any hard to reach area. The large sponge gets HUGE when it’s wet, great for apply blush in my opinion and anything you want. Even if it’s kinda stiff this is still very soft. Unfortunately online they’re sold separately $14.00 for the large sponge and $9.00 for the small one. HANK & HENRY - Midori Bundle Miss A AOA studio super soft wonder blender, one of the best really affordable sponges I’ve tried. It’s really soft and blends like a dream. Very very slight stiffness when dry but super soft when wet. Haven’t had any problems with this one. $1.55! I didn’t have mines with me so I attached a picture of it. AOA studio - AOA Wonder Blender Last and definitely not least the original beauty blender in pro, super soft to the touch and incredible at blending. The hype is real. $20 beautyblender - Pro If you want to spend $20 every few months then this sponge is worth it, super great! If you’re like me that prefers a more affordable one than these options are great as well. These all feel great on the skin, blend your makeup and at the end of my makeup routine I’ve found that these all look very similar and almost identical to each other. ☺️✨

This Is The End Friend - Chucky
So excited to be showing this spooky Halloween Look that I did! Chucky is obviously a classic and definitely frightened me as a kid, take this as me reclaiming that fear lol. I made my own scar wax to do this, followed a video online where all you’d need is flour and Vaseline. I’ll be honest it’s a tedious process but the end result as you can see is worth it. I felt perfectly creepy in this, if I’m being honest it came out way better than I hoped. Sfx Makeup is an area that I would love to get better at, and I’m glad to see growth in this look. I bought fake blood and liquid latex from Walmart, I don’t have a full sfx kit yet. But I did also use Milk Makeup products for my base, and if you follow me on here you definitely know how much I love the Milk brand. Flex Foundation - Warm Deep Milk MAKEUP - Flex Foundation Stick Flex Concealer - Tan/Bronze Milk MAKEUP - Flex Concealer Blur + Set Powder - Translucent Deep Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder Hydrp Grip Primer Milk MAKEUP - Hydro Grip Primer

A full face in just 10 minutes!
Happy Friday, cherie fam! I don’t know about you, but my friday makeup tends to be especially quick and easy. Anyone who has a zoom call with me on fridays can deal with it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) I wanted to share the makeup I put on this morning in just under ten minutes! The finished look is casual, put together, and glowy, and my real skin is still visible under the light makeup. Basic info about my skin: I’m oily and acne prone, and my main concerns right now are dark circles and hyperpigmentation from acne. I also have sparse brows and I like to fill them in—if I do nothing else, I’ll do my brows because I feel naked without them 😂 Here’s a step by step, including all the products I used: First, I apply a few drops of the Kosas - Tinted Face Oil Foundation all over my face, blending it into my hairline and neckline. I’ve reviewed this before, so I won’t go into detail here, but I love it! I just spread it and pat it in with my fingers—no beauty blender/brush needed. Next, I use the Kosas - Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes. Scroll back a few posts for my thoughts on this concealer and why it’s worth repurchasing! Third, I apply the cream blush from the Kosas - Color & Light: Cream Blush & Highlighter Duo on the apples of my cheeks. I usually use a brush, but I can use my fingers in a pinch. I have the color Helios and it’s such a beautiful deep orange shade. The formula itself is very creamy and nourishing—it really feels like skincare AND makeup. I set everything with a light dusting of the Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder . I love this powder, and it’s lasting me FOREVER even with daily use, but I desperately want them to improve the packaging 😩 The mesh makes it difficult to get the product out at times. I do my brows with a few quick swipes of the Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Fiber Brow Gel , my holy grail brow gel. This is the only product on my brows and LOOK how it fills them in! I do a quick coat of the bareMinerals - Lashtopia Mega Volume Mineral-Based Mascara to add length and volume to my lashes. This mascara last alllll day without flaking at all on me. Last, I swipe on some nooni - Appleberry Lip Oil , and I’m done! I LOVE this tinted oil—it feels very hydrating without being sticky, and it’s an incredible bargain compared to other tinted lip oils out there (I got it for $12 on amazon). It has a pink tint and a subtle berry flavor. And that’s it! All of these products are so simple to use, making them perfect for a quick and easy makeup look. #CheriePartner

Full face of *affordable* makeup!
#MAYBELLINE - Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer[products]#[FiveStars] this primer beats pricier ones like the Porefessional, the MAC one, and more. Covers up pores well and is very helpful for getting that base to stick. #MAYBELLINE - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer[products]#[FiveStars] HG here!! I have had countless people recommend this baby and I finally got it - I love it!! I wouldn't say it's the fullest coverage out there, but it blends very easily and gets the job done. The sponge applicator is very comfortable and unique. #NYX - BB Cream[products]#[FiveStars] Honestly they could market this as a light to medium coverage foundation. The shade Natural is perfect for me, although I believe their shade range is only okay (great for mediums like me but fails darker skin tones). Looks close to real skin and sinks in easily without drying. #essence - Brighten Up! Banana Powder[products]#[FourStars] Only okay powder. I wish it were more pigmented or just was a translucent powder, since it can't seem to make up its mind. Mattifies and does lighten though, so I'd recommend. #REVOLUTION - Bronze and Glow Duo[products]#[FourStars] This baby is very close to my heart as it was my first bronzer AND my first highlighter! The bronzer is perfect; it blends easily and looks very natural. The highlighter is a little dark for my skin but it works in certain lights. The biggest plus of this duo though is IT SMELLS LIKE CHOCOLATE. I REPEAT. IT SMELLS LIKE CHOCOLATE!! #MAYBELLINE - Nudes of New York Eyeshadow Palette[products]#[FourStars] this palette is wonderful for beginners or to keep in your purse for simple, everyday looks or slightly glammed up neutral looks. The shimmers are beautiful and all the shades blend well. My only complaint is that the mattes aren't 100% matte, but it's hard to tell. #MAYBELLINE - Hyper Easy Waterproof Liquid Liner In Pitch Black[products]#[FiveStars] Yay for the liner! It does what it's supposed to, it's *actually* water resistant, and fairly smudge proof. It can run dry for short periods sometimes but not often. I certainly recommend this product :) And there we have it! I don't think any of the products are over $10, but correct me if I'm wrong. All are very affordable and get the job done. The duo and palette I would especially recommend for beginners in just a little more apmed up makeup. Side note: unfortunately the blush I used has its label worn away after too many uses 😅but it's nothing special so don't worry about it haha.

DIY Bling Makeup Brushes
#sponsored @cherie I love makeup brushes, I love them for not only makeup but for applying skin care products too. So I can appreciate a good brush just as much as the next person. So one day I see somebody on Instagram flaunting these exquisite brushes covered in sparkling rhinestones and I had to have them. Then I checked the price.....OMG they are not cheap. Then I wonder will I actually like the brush or maybe I won't even use them for fear of ruining such a pretty brush. In either case, the solution is to do it yourself. Whether you buy some inexpensive brushes and bling them out for show or you want to bling out your favorite brush. You can do it for under $15. I figured that I have no problem doing a diamond paint by number painting so I thought this can't be much different than that! So I started with a brush that I don't use just in case things went awry. To my surprise it looked amazing. So from there I did all my favorite makeup brushes. I have a whole collection of blinged brushes. It makes me feel happy when I sit down at my vanity and see my brush holder full of bling! Check out my short how to video. Supplies: Gorilla Clear Grip Glue $5 Rhinestones - I got them from Amazon 3,400 for $7.50 Diamond Painting Pen - I already had one but Amazon sells them for $6 (it's probably cheaper to buy a cheap diamond painting from Wish and use the tool it comes with.) If you don't want to buy a pen then just use a regular pen that has a click to open and close it. Use it in the closed position and now you have a diamond painting pen for free. Wax - you do need a little wax to help the rhinestones stick to the pen. You don't need a lot. If you don't have wax laying around then just dip the tip of the pen in a melted candle and viola you're all set to go. You don't need to dip in wax each time you grab a rhinestone, just when they don't stick to the pen anymore. Brushes - Use what you have or buy some inexpensive ones. If you are afraid of ruining a brush then start off with one of those free pens you get from the bank. I hope you try out this easy and inexpensive way to bling things. The biggest expense is your time, it is time consuming but it's truly worth it. My blinged brushes bring a smile to my face every day. Here are some of my favorite brushes... @byartis Oval 7 is $65 which I got on sale for 30% off. It is by far the best brush I've ever used for foundation. Flawless and streakless application. It has a beautiful mirror finish and I won't be blinging it but it is my favorite brush ever & needed to mention it. @beakeyblender set of 10 brushes for $10. Great inexpensive brushes @modabrush set of 2 powder & soft glow set $30. Love these brushes I use with loose powder and mineral makeup @boxycharm brushes set of 2 foundation brushes $35. These brushes work great for both liquid and powder foundations. What is your favorite brand of brush? Let me know if you try this! #BeautyWithoutBarriers @cherie #CheriePartner #CherieCreator #makeupbrushes #blingbling #blingbrushes #blingedthings #modabrush #boxycharm #beakeyblender #diy artís - Elite Oval 7 Brush BOXYCHARM - FIVE BRUSH SET WITH BC LOGO POUCH

🚨TARGET HAUL: REPURCHASES & NEW BUYS! 🚨
Sharing my newest beauty haul including hair, nails, & makeup. Also, target is doing spend $30 on beauty get a $10 gift card. Just a small fyi, now let's talk about this haul! REPURCHASED PRODUCTS: scünci - Scrunchies Black I barely need to explain this but I love scrunchies! I rarely use traditional hair ties anymore, these don't tug on my hair and are super cute. I keep them in my purse, my car, my desk, basically any and everywhere! ARDELL - Pro Brow Trim & Shape My go-to brow/facial razor! This pack is limited time (apparently) normally it only comes with 3 but this time I found 6! KISS - Maximum Speed Nail Glue I like to have nail glue handy just in case a break happens, I'm prepared! COVERGIRL - Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation Used in all my tutorials but this is my go-to dewy/radiant finish foundation. It's definitely "milk" meaning it's super light coverage but it's been amazing for summer so I can powder it & wear it on the go with no problem. MILANI - Make It Last Prime + Correct + Set Setting Spray Check out my dedicated post on why I love this setting spray... fun fact: I always have at least two in my makeup collection! I can't go without it. Now onto the fun stuff..... NEW BUYS: MILANI - MILANI Baked Blush The Nars Blush has been my go-to for years but it's not nice to my wallet. I used to love these baked blush for their soft shimmer effect & their range is gorgeous. I picked up the shades Dolce Pink & Sunset Passione. I hope they are what I remember! NYX - Micro Brow Pencil I have used shade Espresso in this pencil before which I did not like, it almost had a red undertone? I don't know but my brows and I didn't like it. Now I've dyed my hair black with red tint so I'm trying out their Black shade with the hopes of finding a cheap brow pencil option. NYX - Epic Wear Liner Stick I'm leaning into using more colors in my looks, so I picked up a white liner to use as a base for liner looks & to brighten my waterline. I tend to smudge underneath my eye so my goal is to find a liner that can hold up to the "waterproof" claim. We will see! e.l.f. - Flawless Concealer Brush I have used this brush before but I used it for highlighter.... weird I know but I like a dense brush. Now I do wanna use it for it's intended purpose, look out for a sponge/brush blending review for concealer coming soon! e.l.f. - Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow This gold/copper shade really caught my eye! Looking forward to trying it; in shade Flirty Birdy EYLURE - Luxe Silk Marquise Multipack HOUSE of LASHES - Allura Lite Lashes are my favorite part of the makeup routine! I got two new, dramatic pair to test out. Stay tuned for reviews on these guys! Thanks for reading ❤️

Cherie Made me Buy it!!
These three items were the most suggested items to me since the beginning on my time on Cherie. Now there are TONS of Cherie influenced purchases in my near future and that is certain! First is the CeraVe - Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser . This specific one was not mentioned, but the brand has become quite popular on multiple social media outlets. I figured why not try it, and I fell in love! Next is the e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer . ELF has been storming the makeup and skin care with awesome products lately and this concealer is AMAZING!!! It really is everything that it was hyped up to be! Last is the VIRAL peel The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Also another brand storming the skincare industry ! It a top quality product at crazy cheap prices! Not to mention it actually delivers results! Also definitely lived up to its hype here on Cherie! Thank you to all the wonderful creators out there providing insight into products you have used!! You guys are all helping someone find skincare gold! ❤️ I would never had purchased the face wash and peel had I not found Cherie! Cherie Creator 😘

Primerize me, Cap’n! 🦜
Good evening, everyone! Been a busy week for me, so sorry for lack of posts. I got a new mini lighting booth for my Poshmark store and wanted to test it out tonight. Pretty pleased so far 😁 Here are three primers that I’m currently playing with. My tried and true is the Benefit Porefessional Primer. I honestly don’t use it under makeup; I use it to blur my skin and then use translucent powder over it to keep me from getting oily on “no makeup” days. I love the illumination of the pearl version as I still get a healthy little glow going. I’ve yet to try the Laneige one, but have wanted to for a while now. Thankfully, Sephora has been offering samples with orders so I got a couple. The TIS one is a classic Korean primer. It’s probably the only one that has ever worked for me under makeup. My combo skin typically just breaks down any and all primers, so I never use them under makeup. Remember to hydrate and check your WiFi 😘

90s Makeup Pt. 2
I had so much fun making my first look, I had to do a second! Make sure to check that one out, too. This look is much more grungy. It’s inspired by popular celeb looks with worn-in, black-rimmed eyes and dark lipstick. Products I Used & Why: Primer: touch in SOL - No Poreblem Primer Great for smoothing without feeling silicone-y. This is in my October monthly makeup basket. No other reason for choosing Foundation: ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 “ST 3 Balos” and PÜR - 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 “porcelain”. I chose these 2 because celebs often wore lighter foundation tones (or orange, but I don’t like that look LOL). The combo of these 2 is still natural but provides medium coverage. The Pür is a bit light for me. Concealer: e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer “light peach”. Celebs often wore concealer that was a little or much lighter to draw attention to their eyes. Eyes: URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil “perversion”. I did a thin line on my upper lash line, then used a pencil brush (not sure of brand) to smoke it out kind of messily. Celebs’ liner looked like they’d been wearing it all day (or night) long. I then added a bit more liner at my lash’s roots to intensify the effect. For my spidery lashes I used URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara . I smudged the shade “black” from the LORAC - PRO Matte Eye Shadow Palette with the same pencil brush under my eyes. Since I have hooded eyes, some of the smudged liner did transfer into my crease a bit. I think it adds to the worn-in vibe. Cheeks: KEVYN AUCOIN - The Contour & Highlighter Duo “contour” to lightly sculpt my nonexistent cheekbones and tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in “thrilled” (nude pink) on the upper portion of my cheeks to add a hint of color to my cheeks and lift my cheekbones up. Lips: ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick “heathers” for a deep ox blood red pout. Shades of red, burgundy, and brown were also very popular in the 90s to pair with this kind of look! I finished off this look with my hair in a bun to accentuate my makeup. What’s your fave 90s makeup style?! #CheriePartner

Ranking My Foundations/Skin Tints
I currently have 10 foundations and skin tints in my collection. I like all of them except 1 (keep reading), and a couple are nearing empty. I love trying new foundations and would like to purchase 1 or 2, but not until I finish some! **Ranked from least favorite to most favorite** 10. HOURGLASS - Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick I have “alabaster” (a bit too light). I had a sample size I completely used up and bought a full size in 2018. It just...wasn’t the same. It is more on the full coverage side and is very creamy. It looks both dry and oily on me 🤯 Another Cherie user gave me a tip for application so I’ll try this again soon. $46 9-8. Kosas - Tinted Face Oil Foundation I have the shades 3.5 (gifted by the brand) and 2.0. 3.5 is way too dark for me (will de-clutter). I purchased a lighter shade, and it’s much better. It is a dry oil formula and super lightweight. Provides very little coverage. Unfortunately, it clings to my dry patches a little too much. $42 7. CLOVE+HALLOW - Liquid Skin Tint I have “03”. The shade range is limited and this isn’t a perfect match for me. It’s a bit too yellow. It has medium coverage and a satin matte finish. I need to prep my skin super well before using or else it can look dry around my nose. It’s about 1/2 gone and I wouldn’t repurchase. Sent as PR by the brand & I am an affiliate. $26 6. PÜR - 4-In-1 Love Your Selfie Longwear Foundation & Concealer I have a sample in “LN2”. The shade is a bit too light and pink for me. Medium-full coverage with a natural finish. I only ranked this lower due to the shade. This comes in approx. 100 shades! $36 5. YENSA - Skin on Skin BC Foundation I have a sample in “light neutral”. Pretty good shade for me. Medium-full coverage, natural finish, SPF 40. It can sometimes look a bit dry on me, but i like it. $38 4. ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 I have “Balos”. I love this for summer and when my skin is really dry. Super dewy finish, light coverage, SPF 40, wears well. Had good ingredients that actually help my skin look better when it’s really dry. I need to powder it if I use powder products on top. $46 3. COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Tinted Moisturizer I have light 5N. Light buildable coverage, dewy finish, feels moisturizing, and wears well. The shade isn’t perfect for me but pretty good. $14 2. CATRICE COSMETICS - HD Liquid Coverage Foundation I have light beige. Not a perfect shade match (a little more pink) but pretty good. Natural finish, medium-full coverage, very long-wearing. Shade range lacks. $11 1. URBAN DECAY - Stay Naked Weightless Foundation I have 30NN. Very similar formula + coverage to the Catrice + super lightweight. Better shade range. Wears so well! Will always have this in my collection. $39 #CheriePartner

Practicing My Wedding Makeup!
I’m getting married in two weeks - ahhhhh!!! My fiancé and I are having a very small ceremony and dinner with close friends/family on 9/6. Next summer we’ll have a big celebration when things are safer (hopefully). I’m going to be doing my own hair and makeup. I’ve practiced a couple times, but this look is the highest contender (judge being my very picky and natural beauty-loving fiancé). I wanted a look that provided soft definition and glowy skin. I’ve reviewed a few of these on Cherie before, and recommend all of these items. Face: touch in SOL - No Poreblem Primer raved about this before, great for all skin types, somewhat covers pores, extends wear of makeup URBAN DECAY - Stay Naked Weightless Foundation lightweight, medium-buildable coverage, natural matte finish (my shade is 30NN) e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer excellent coverage, not drying, stays put (my shade is “light peach” HOURGLASS - Ambient Lighting Edit Volume 4 this was limited edition from 2018, but you can get a very similar bronzer from their permanent line, and the finishing powders are sold as singles too. Provides a bit of luminosity and gives the skin an ethereal finish. Hourglass products are expensive, but worth it. tarte - Hamptons Weekender Contour Palette I used the bronzer and blush from this. Great palette for fair-medium skin tones. Bronzer leans more neutral. Charlotte Tilbury - Beauty Highlighter Wand i used the shade “spotlight” (silvery/pinky). It looks melted into my face! It’s absolutely stunning but a bit pricey ($38), so I’d give it 4.5/5 stars. Eyes: persona - Identity Eyeshadow Palette high-quality, buttery shimmers, creamy mattes. MILANI - MILANI Eyeshadow Primer I use this all the time. It’s great for the price! I did apply some random false lashes from Shop Miss A but I can’t find which ones. Mascara would work just fine. Lips: I forgot to feature my lip products in the flat lay, so I tagged them in my “selfies”! I used Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipstick in “Pillowtalk” with lilah b. - Luxe Lip Oil Mini Duo shade “b elegant” on top. Pillowtalk is a my lips but better shade (pink-ish) and “b elegant” lip oil is a nude gloss. Love the color combo!! There are NO filters on these photos, by the way! Basic Foundation/Base Look ONLY
Basic Foundation/Base Look ONLY
This is what I normally do after doing my basic face washing process for a solid base look for a night out or important event. For daily use, my routine changes slightly, so keep that in mind. For reference, I have oily face and large pores! 1) it Cosmetics - Your Skin But Better Makeup Primer+ I’ve already reviewed this primer, but it is so far my favorite primer since it’s so GOOOOD at covering my pores and controlling sebum production! 2)e.l.f. - High Definition Powder I like to add a little setting powder after the primer so that it lasts longer, would definitely recommend doing this! 3)it Cosmetics - CC Eye Physical SPF 50 Color Correcting Concealer Since I have been dealing with my hyperpigmentation, I have decided to buy this and I love it! It provides a pretty great coverage (which diminished the amount of base that I have to add) has a high SPF, and has color correction properties! Highly recommend this one, and their other CC Creams! They’re pretty amazing and target different concerns. 4) it Cosmetics - Confidence In A Foundation WOOOW, ever since I tried this base, I couldn’t help, but stick with it! It is AMAZING! And it lasts all night, doesn’t smudge or crack, and does a great job at controlling my oiliness! Plus, it doesn’t feel heavy on my face at all! It goes so smoothly and a little goes a LOOONG way, so I recommend! 5) e.l.f. - High Definition Powder So, I didn’t do it for this post since I’m not really doing anything today, but I obviously add concealer. Then, I add this setting powder to lock it. #CheriePartner

Not My Fav Cult Classic ✖️
Not My Fav Cult Classic ✖️
Hi, Cherie friends! 🍒 I’m not really a primer gal but I wanted to jump on the bandwagon! I wanted to see how magical this putty primer is since I’ve seen everyone chatting about it! 👀 Well for people who’s skin doesn’t work well with primers, like me, there’s no magic there for me ☹️The only thing *magical* about it for me is probably how wonderful it blends into your skin. However, in my case, makeup didn’t last as long when I wore it. I also experienced pilling/peeling later in the day I really really wanted to like the e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer but I don’t think that primers are for everyone. I just don’t think my face likes them. So it’s not you E.L.F., it’s me! And as you can see in the second photo, it catches a lot of dust from your fingers. I always washed my hands beforehand so be careful of bacteria from swiping! (however, my face did look less shiny as soon as I applied it ✔️) BUT, if you’re looking for a primer that’s easy to build up/blend, inexpensive and vegan, I’d definitely choose this one! 🐰

Foundations That Just ~*hit the spot*~ For Me
Foundations That Just ~*hit the spot*~ For Me
Hello beautiful people! i definitely do NOT deserve these foundations and the way they make me look. but here we are, being the lord’s favorite. CLINIQUE - Even Better Foundation Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 for some reason, this doesn’t break me out despite having SPF. maybe it’s because of the low SPF? idk, but this is my TOP ONE fave. it has medium buildable coverage and it has a good shade range! i can always trust this to make my skin look juicy. shade 26 cashew is my perfect summer shade! PÜR - 4-in-1 Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 this one’s for my more ~natural~ girls. it has light to medium (yes, medium) coverage, and an SPF 20. again, by some miracle, this never broke me out. i always use this for my no makeup makeup days. only gave it a 4 star rating because they only come in three shades. i use Tan as my fall/winter shade, and that’s the darkest shade they have. tsk tsk. here’s to hoping they expand, because they did something right here. Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation this is more of my “glowy and hoey” foundation. when i know i’m going to be in a public setting (like a party, event, etc.), i use this. it has a medium buildable coverage and I’m in the shade Warm Beige. the only reason i gave this a 4 star rating is because i find that sometimes it comes off as patchy. nothing a lil concealer can’t fix, though, so i aint really mad at it. MAYBELLINE - Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation one of the HOLY GRAILS when it comes to drugstore foundations. i use this when i want to look like i have zero oil whatsoever on my face. this foundation has a full coverage with matte finish. I’m in the shade 220 Natural Beige, and aint no other foundation match me the way this does. 10/10 i don’t have anything bad to say about it. price? check. coverage? check. match? check. finish? check. who’s seeing her? absolutely no one. so yeah, these are the foundations i reach for the most. if yall can tell, i tend to lean more on the medium coverage with a dewy finish kinda look. that Superstay is the only matte foundation for me. i hope this helped some of you guys! let me know some of your favorites down in the comments!

Top 3 Concealers
Top 3 Concealers
MAYBELLINE - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer I’ve repurchased this concealer in color warm/light a couple of times. I use it for my “no makeup” makeup days. It wears well on my skin, it doesn’t crease, and matches my skin tone pretty well while providing medium coverage. Definitely worth a shot if you haven’t already tried this popular concealer. MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Concealer I personally love this concealer in color 10 fair. I use it in place of foundation, and it wears pretty well. It’s more of a sheer medium coverage, but makes my skin look great. This one also fits my skin tone pretty well, doesn’t crease, and wears all day. e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer I recently purchased this concealer for $6, and I’m pretty impressed. It’s full coverage and lasts all day. I got color fair/warm. It’s definitely hydrating, blends well, and covers all my little acne marks. Definitely recommend. Overall, if I *HAD* to choose one, I’d pick the E.L.F camo concealer, just because of how well it wears and covers, plus the price is on point. What’s your favorite concealer?

My fav prep duo, definitely help to create flawless skin!
My fav prep duo, definitely help to create flawless skin!
Today I wanna introduce my favourite duo for setting my foundation. I would never skip this step no matter how lazy I get in doing my makeup, especially summer. Otherwise the consequence for my combo-oily skin would be a totally ruined foundation after about 3-4 hours. I’ve tried some different products and here’s my favourite duo I would like to share with you. What are they? Translucent Loose Setting Powder from Laura Mercier and 204 Buffing from Real Techniques   How much does it cost and where to buy? My setting powder is in the mini size ($23), available at Sephora and Ulta. And the Buffing brush is the one I got in this brand’s flawless base set ($19.9). I’ve done a full review of this set and you are welcome to check it out in another post. Real Techniques is on sale at the website of Amazon, Ulta, Target, etc. Pretty easy to find it out.   How does it work? You just sift some powder out of the jar and put it on the lid. Make sure you do not pour too much out. Then use the brush to grab the powder: you just dip the brush in there and every single grain just gets on the bristles. You should make the powder spread more evenly by slightly shaking the brush before applying it to your face to set!   Is it worth it? Worth every penny of it! This combo make my makeup look flawless. I have really used many high end brand setting powders and this is a game changer. They really get to set everything in place and give a clean matte look which help get your foundation last all day long. A little goes a long way so it will last you quite a while.   What else you need to now? As you can see, I’ve got this mini version of setting powder so it’s easier for me to take it whenever I travel. But if you want a better deal, the larger, the better. There are also some different shades made for different skin tones. You could try them out and get your dreamy setting powder!
