Easy Party Hairstyle Pictorial

About my hair: thiiiiick, long, wavy/curly, frizzy This style was done on same-day washed hair. I loveeeee this style, especially for summer! It’s super easy to do. The concept involves making small buns. While my pictorial involves making 3 buns, depending on your hair length you may only be able to do 2 buns. I’ve also done this style with 2 buns and it’s really cute! This style can be done regardless of your hair type. What you’ll need -heavy duty Bobby or spin pins -hairspray -comb -optional: texture spray if your hair texture is fine or slippery Steps: (Pre-step: spray texture spray throughout hair if using. Skip if not.) 1. Comb all of your hair from the front of your head towards the back. 2. Separate the section of hair near your crown. 3. Twist the hair counter-clockwise until it starts to coil. Wrap the hair around itself into a bun shape. Use your other hand to hold the bun in place while wrapping. 4. Pin the bun in place. 5. Separate the section of hair above your ears. 6. Repeat steps 3-4 to pin a second bun into place. 7. Repeat steps 3-4 to pin a third bun into place. 8. Add additional Bobby pins if needed to secure your buns and smooth hair in the front of your head. Use hairspray to lock your style into place. If your hair is shorter, this style can be done by separating your hair into 2 sections instead of 3. Accessories, like sparkly pins or clips, would look awesome with this style. My tips: Invest in some spin pins. They make buns a BREEZE. For these small buns, I only use 1 spin pin because they hold so well. goody - Hair Simple Styles Mini Spin Hair Pin
are about $7-9. Heavy duty Bobby pins also work well, such as CONAIR - Styling Essentials Firm Hold Bobby Pins
, which are amazing for thick hair (about $6-7). I don’t suggest using non-textured styling pins because they won’t hold this style. I used VERB - Ghost Hairspray
in this pictorial, but feel free to use whatever medium or high hold hairspray you have on hand!

Practicing My Wedding Hair! 👰🏻
A few days ago I shared a makeup look that will probably be very close to what I do on my wedding today. Today I’m sharing a hair look that I *think* will be my hairstyle for my “mini-mony”/“micro-wedding” that is coming up next weekend. Let me know what you think!! I followed a hair tutorial from Missy Sue. She’s one of my go-tos on YouTube for beautiful hairstyles that don’t take a ton of skill. Trust me, this looks complicated, but isn’t at all! You essentially just part your combed/brushed hair into 3 sections - a back (largest section) and one side section on each side. The back section gets braided into a basic 3-strand braid, slightly fluffed out (aka “pancaking”), and then wrapped into a braided bun. Pin in place with strong hold pins. With the two side sections, you create a lace braid (only add hair in on the side closest to your face), lay the braids across the top of the bin, pin into place with bobby pins, and lightly pull on the outer edges of the braids to make them a bit bigger (optional). Since I have long hair, I looped the ends of those 2 braids 2x and pinned them into place near the top of the bun. I then pinched and pulled to create some texture and volume on the finished look. I added 1 bridal pin that came in a 2-pack from Amazon, though I’m not sure if I’ll use it on the day of. Things I used: CONAIR - Styling Essentials Firm Hold Bobby Pins (amazing for long thiiiick hair) scünci - Conair Black Bobby Pins for All Hair Types (basic essential) #Jakawin - Wedding Peal Hair Pins[products]#[FourStars] (little cheap looking but might be cute for photos) Things that I will use next time: Texture spray (I ran out and need more!) - add prior to styling to give hair some grit + add texture Hair spray (didn’t bother because I’m just hanging at home today. Style held well without it!) - add after styling How did you wear/planning to wear your hair for your big day?! #CheriePartner

Date Night top bun!
Date Night top bun!
My hair is bone straight & extremely fine! First of all, this is probably one of the most simple hair looks you can ever create. It is easy to do, can be dressed up or down! I like to have a little volume in my hair before creating the bun since my hair is so fine and I don’t have all that much to work with. I just use my tried & true IGK - Beach Club Volume Texture Spray to add a little volume. Some dry shampoo works as well! In the photos is the step by step. High pony, twist, wrap, secure. Add some bold earrings and a bold lip to make the look super chic 🍷😘

Cute Braided headband style!
Cute Braided headband style!
My hair is bone straight & extremely thin! My favorite texture spray is IGK - Beach Club Texture Spray It creates body, texture, and slight hold! I love that it gives me a messy look but still polished. This braid is super easy and cute! It’s just a simple braid that is weaved into the head. So you just need to pick up hair from the side closest to your face, that’s what makes it different than a French braid (which picks up from both sides). Hope you like the end result! 💖

Favourite Quick Boho Braided Hairstyle✨
Favourite Quick Boho Braided Hairstyle✨
This is a style I have loved to do for over 10 years now...I honestly feel like it never really goes out of style and it’s so simple (as long as you know how to French braid). It allows me to keep my hair out of my face while still keeping it down which is always a plus for me...I hate hair hanging in my face!! My hair is fine in texture and naturally blonde but is colour-treated (with bleach). Here’s the steps I take to get this cute style! 1️⃣ I started with day-old hair (this style looks the best when your hair has some “grit” to it) and did a slight side part. I then took a small section of hair near the front to start the braid. 2️⃣ This style actually uses a Dutch braid, which means the hair goes underneath as you cross the middle instead of over top. I start my braid out on that small piece, crossing each side under the middle strand one side at a time. 3️⃣ After I have the braid started, I add in a piece of hair to each side as I cross under until I like the size of the braid. 4️⃣ Once I get to the bottom, I hold the braid with one hand and with the other I go through and pull pieces out all the way up to make it look more loose and “boho”, I then secure the braid with a clear elastic. 5️⃣ Using a bobby pin, I pin the braid to my head just above my ear so that it’s secure (this is totally optional, you can leave it loose too!) 6️⃣ Last, I spritz in some salt spray for texture (I used the davines - This is a Sea Salt Spray ) and add a little oil to my ends to keep them hydrated (I used the gisou - Honey Infused Hair Oil ) Hope you enjoyed this super easy tutorial!!🤗

My go-to French braid in a bun!
My go-to French braid in a bun!
My hair is a little crazy! Having dry, thick, wild curls is an adventure in itself, but having those key styles to dress up a bun is so important! Today I’m sharing my go-to hairstyle when my hair is almost ready to be washed (I can only wash my hair once a week—curly girl problems) and I want it to be out of my face for work. I call it an easy French braid in a bun! Here are the easy steps to get this cute style yourself: 1. Brush your hair! Especially if you’re curly like me—it will ruin your curls for that wash cycle but since we’re at the end anyway it doesn’t really matter. By brushing our your hair it is less likely to tangle. 2. Something I like to do to add volume and texture is a styling powder. Many brands make them, but today I’m using the Redken Dry Shampoo Powder REDKEN - Dry Shampoo Powder 02 With Charcoal it’s basically a charcoal powder to soak up excess oil in your hair. Lasts forever! At $22 for 2oz it had lasted me over 6 months! My only complaint is the dispenser, I wish it was like briogeo’s, which is a aerosol-free sprayer. 3. Part your hair like your normally do, then tie up one side while you work on the other side. 4. Begin your French braid at the front of your part. You can make the braid as tight or loose as you’d like! 5. Make sure you continue along the side of your head, not the top. 6. Secure your first braid with Bobby pins and/or tie it up! 7. Repeat this on the other side. 8. Remove all of your temporary Bobby pins, grab all of your hair and put it in your usual bun. I keep mine lower on my head depending on the day. 9. Secure any stray hair or bumps with Bobby pins and you’re ready to go! I work part time at a print shop where it’s crucial that my hair is up and out of my face so I can operate heavy machinery. This is a cute style I wear instead of a boring bun 🤪 What are your favorite hair styles for your job(s)?
