My love letter to the I’m From Rice Toner 🍚
This is my absolute favourite toner for the morning. I apply this with my hands right after a gentle cleanser and before my vitamin C serum. Not only does it provide hydration, but my skin feels plumper and looks brighter the more that I use this toner. Now, I will say that this toner if quite different than the one I use at nighttime to help target my texture and keep my acne at bay. I don’t necessarily think I need this hydrating / brightening toner, but man, I just love it and I love how my skin feels after using this consistently. If you do have dry or very dull skin or skin with pesky acne scars, I do think this could be a great product for you. The good: + Although this has a very watery texture, this locks in moisture to the skin! If I’m having a particularly dull skin day, I’ll add a couple layers of this and my skin will feel extra hydrated. + Makes skin feel so plump and smooth. + Skin is slowly looking brighter and I’ve noticed this in combination with my vitamin C have really helped fade my acne scars. + Key ingredients include: rice extract (mild exfoliation and brightening) and niacinimide (minimizes pore appearance, improves skin tone and balances oils). + Large bottle (150ml) for around $30 and it will last you quite a long time. I’ve used mine for over two months now and I’m not even half way done. + No fragrance, essential oils or alcohol. And it’s cruelty free. The not so good: - uhhhhhhhhhhh the fact that it will one day be empty. - My usual complaint that I will need to order this online and it will take 2-3 weeks to get to Canada depending on where they ship it from. Worth it? Yes! It might seem a lot for a toner but this is lasting me a long time and I’m love the effects. Will I repurchase? Yes! Ps I have combo, acne prone skin :)

✨MY SKIN JOURNEY - Learn from my mistakes!
Please excuse my before pics...theyre the only ones i could find that showed what it used to look like 😭🤣 and these werent even close to my worst days before y’all come at me for complaining about such mild acne 🤪 BEFORE: i had huge pores, you would NEVER see me without blemishes whether theyre a few big hormonal pimples/scars or tiny red bumps everywhere, and I had horrible milia and uneven tone and texture along my cheekbones. NOW: my pores are half the size (though still visible, I’m working on it), i scarcely get pimples and if I do they go away in a day or two without scarring, and my milia is COMPLETELY GONE! I get closer and closer every day to achieving “dewy-dumpling skin” (words of my inspo jadeywadey 🥰) WHAT I DID WRONG AND CHANGED: 1. Thinking my skin type was oily but it was actually DEHYDRATED! I have always had combination skin with dry patches here and there, but because I was acne-prone I assumed that anything creamy or oily would make me even oilier so I would wash my face way too often and go to bed without moisturizing at all in fear of it breaking me out! In reality, I was stripping my skin and triggering excess sebum production which made me feel greasy and caused acne flare ups. Now, I am hydration-obsessed and my skin thanks me for all of the nourishment it has been getting, plus it helped to heal my dry spots! 2. Not exfoliating. I was afraid of exfoliation, for similar reasons to above. Physical exfoliates were very rough and damaging to my skin and would cause breakouts and irritation, so I figured it would just be out of the question for me. Until I discovered chemical exfoliation and it saved me! My milia was also so bad and made my makeup look so bumpy, I thought it was incurable unless I let a dermatologist poke and squeeze at them, but The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution has been my holy grail that has made them COMPLETELY DISAPPEAR! My skin is smoother than anything because of this mask and I am so grateful that I introduced this form of exfoliation into my life! However, if anyone has any recommendations on how to heal the tiny red bumps that scatter along my cheekbones or have any idea what they are I’d love to hear some insight! Xo ✨❤️

5 ingredients to avoid if you’re sensitive to skin irritation
Sensitive skin is an unfortunate issue many of us have to deal with, which can be not only uncomfortable physically but also affect our self-confidence. When our skin is irritated it becomes a red, burning, and itchy mess and can make you more prone to breakouts. There are so many factors that can cause irritation to your skin such as sun exposure, cold weather, and certain skincare products that contain triggering ingredients.
How to reduce milia effectively? My HG cleanser!
Months ago, I found some tiny but annoying white bumps under my eyes. My friends told me they are milia. I was confused and I hoped to get rid of it immediately. So I did some research on the internet. I read some articles Quick overview of milia🔍 MILIA are small white to yellow colored cysts formed when skin flakes or keratin get trapped under the skin. Some people may call them “milk spots.“ They occur commonly around the eyes and on cheeks but can appear anywhere. They tend to occur as a result of skin damage (like sun damage) or excessive use of harsh products on the skin. Milia VS Pimples At first, I regarded these milia as pimples. But my friend told me they were different! Attempting to pop them may cause further inflammation and scarring. The pores need to clear out the built-up keratin for the milia to go away. So, AVOID picking or poking them! How Do I Get Rid Of Milia? They usually go on their own. So like I have said before, NEVER picking or poking them to avoid scarring and infection. If you want to get rid of it quickly, you can try some chemical peels. Use a retinoid cream or AHAs and BHAs at night to reduce their occurrence. I have sensitive and acne-prone skin so I need a gentle cleanser to exfoliate my skin. I have seen many reviews saying good things about La Roche-Posay Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser. I included it in my PM routine and magically my milia got better. I also used Elemis PAPAYA ENZYME PEEL. I heard that it's a great option for beginners who are nervous of aggressive formulas. I have been using these products for about 5 weeks. No redness, no stinging, just smooth skin! A few more TIPs👇 Avoid using oil-based creams Avoid scrubbing the face too often CCW! If you have experienced the same things like me, you can comment and I will see what I can do.

Skin concerns: fine lines around eyes
Skin type: light complexion Skin issues: rosacea, eczema, dryness, fine lines & wrinkles I’ve have been on the search for a eye cream that will help with the fine lines around my eyes & won’t cause drying or irritation, and isn’t hundreds of dollars. I first discovered Elemis Advanced Eye Treatment at ulta, a employee recommended it to help with my fine lines. I have been using this product now for 3 months. I can say that I’ve definitely noticed a great improvement in the fine lines around my eyes. Also at the same time it makes the area around the eyes feel super soft, hydrated, and a more youthful appearance. I use it in the morning & a night, before bed. I use a half a pump on the back of my hand, then use my ring finger to dab around my eyes. A little will go a long way with this product. It’s lightweight, non greasy, with a water like consistency, with no scent. I can put my makeup on in the morning after applying and it doesn’t make it cake, or crease, it’s like you have nothing on at all. I love this eye serum this has become a must have product in my daily routine. It’s $68.00 and I think that it’s definitely worth the cost. I give this a 5/5 ⭐️ and recommend this to anyone that is looking for help with fine lines around the eyes. ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment

Sunrise Skin Routine - AM Edition
Hello lovies! I am back with my most up to date morning skincare routine! Some background information is that I have oily combo skin and deal with occasional dry patches on my face. During the spring and summer season I don’t have the dry patches but once the weather changes, temperatures drop, and the air gets dry in the east coast - it’s dry patches around the corners of my lips and edges around my nose. Every morning when I wake up these are the three items is I use, I’ll start with order of use. I begin with the Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser to wash of my face and clear any residue built over night. I like that this product is not too strong nor does it carry a strong scent which makes it perfect for all skin types in my opinion. This cleanser includes five skin conditioners that is perfect for not over drying the face after wash. According to Glossier, it is “soothing, purifying, and nourishing.” I 100% agree with the statement. This item retails from $9.00-$18.00, depending on size. I am almost done with this bottle and plan on repurchasing. The second item I use is the Vaseline - Cocoa Butter Healing Jelly, Rich Moisturizing ! I apply this specifically to the dry patches of my face that I mentioned earlier. I have been using Vaseline on my face for over five years, I think it does an excellent job of providing hydration to the dry spots of the face. Ironically, I have some super oily spots on my face so it’s funny that I have to apply Vaseline to other areas. This item is a steal too - one small container costs only $1.79! During the winter season this baby here is a life saver and even during the warmer seasons I occasionally apply it in the morning too. The last item I use in my morning skincare routine is the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Pink Grapefruit . This is the moisturizer I apply all over the face except for places I applied my Vaseline on. This baby provides the perfect amount of hydration for the oily, normal, and dry spots on my face! It’s not too overpowering and you feel your face just take in the hydration! I absolutely love that this item can be used for those dealing with intense dryness or distress skin. This works incredible on my skin and I have experienced zero breakouts from this routine. I have been using this specific routine for the last three months! The routine has always been the same it begins with some face wash, Vaseline, and then a moisturizer. I’ve been fortunate enough to win a few giveaway and thus discovered Glossier and First Aid Beauty. I think this combo works well for my skin type and believe it would work well for those with similar oily combo skin types. It doesn’t bring more attention to the oily spots and it hydrates the spots that need more love! Stay around for my PM routine - it’s coming up soon!
