Ok, so i have added a post couple of days ago about my cystic acne getting worse and then i guess the same day i called my mum. I just randomly told her that i am having issues with acne and will be going to derm when lockdown will end. she: “you cant even take care of your skin and my skin still shines” Note: her skin is super and literally shines without using any specific product (though she had chickenpox in childhood and those marks are still there but still it shines a lot) Me: i am done mum , i tried so many things and nothing is working She: try some home remedies for a week and see , if that doesnt work then go to derm and the solution was really simple Potato juice and i added some other things from my side Potato juice 2-3 tbsp Rose water 2-3 tbsp ACV 1/2 tbsp lemon/lime juice 1/2 to 1 tbsp Mix everything and keep it freeze, you can keep it in freeze for 3-4 days then make a new one. Potato juice helps to brighten skin Rose water helps to hydrate and natural toner ACV helps to dry out pimples lemon/lime helps to brighten and dry pimples Note: i have oily sensitive acne prone skin and it works fine for me , might not work for you

help— need acne & peach fuzz tips
help— need acne & peach fuzz tips
so i naturally grow a lot of peach fuzz/little hairs on my face and i get acne really easily because my skin is oily. does anyone have tips on how to deal with peach fuzz when being acne prone? i read that i shouldn’t shave my face while having acne because it will spread more bacteria on my face. is that true? i don’t like my face looking so hairy, any tips can help, thanks also — i took a close up video of my skin so people can get an idea on how my skin looks. UPDATE: so i did like Mallory suggested and got some of those razor things. they work really well; i didn’t get too much fuzz off bc i didn’t want to cut myself (again; i tried it on my eyebrow). thank you to everyone who gave me suggestions!! i appreciate it!!!

Red inflamed acne spots
Red inflamed acne spots
I was doing so good with my skincare journey , i always seem to breakout before my cycle. I also tend to over analyze my skin causing me to do toooo much and end up with worse case of acne flare up. I broke out on my forehead and got frustrated since my skin was doing so well from a previous longgg acne breakout for months. I had seem to have clear skin. I used salucidic acid treatment on my acne this time and at first i liked that it seemed to dry my acne spot but now they are so red and blistered. ✨Any tips to recover from this ???? 😖 Recommendations & tips that will soothe my skin and help me with my breakout & irritated skin Currently using : -kose oil cleanse - simple moisturizing face wash -Cerave face lotion for normal to dry skin -Niacinaminide cos de baha -Vitamin c naturium -missha sun milk sunscreen What i used that worsened my case :( also my skin is very sensitive just a disclaimer: -Aztec clay -salycidic acid cos de baha (this is were it especially went all wrong) :|||

My Oldschool Acne Cure
My Oldschool Acne Cure
It never occurred to me to use Calamine Lotion for acne until I saw the Mario Badescu drying lotion. It was pink which was a dead give away to me what it was. I looked it up and sure enough its calamine and salicylic acid. I hate salicylic acid, and literally had some calamine in the cupboard so figured I'd give it a go. For my sensitive skin this is pretty much perfect. I put a thick layer on my zits at night and even a thin layer on some of my oily problem areas. Similar to a clay mask you will see it dry up the oils and start to crack. But, it always remains super soothing. Usually after having some on for a couple hours I will see a decrease in redness. I will even put concealer over the dry patches for keeping my zits dry throughout the day. 100% would recommend for acne and especially cystic acne and oily problem areas.

Happy Texture Tuesday!
Happy Texture Tuesday!
⠀ Today I bring you my secret to fighting hormonal acne. ⠀ I have gone 23 years without ever having hormonal acne and then it decided to make its way into my life! Thankfully I had this trio to help it kick rocks. ⠀ @kitavamd gifted me their 3 step acne treatment and it has helped me so much. ⠀ Step 1 Acne Cleansing Gel: This cleanser includes salicylic acid and works to dissolve of acne bumps and impurities. This cleanser did a great job of drying out my acne bumps but I found that I can only use this for a max 5 consecutive days or it dries out my skin ⠀ Step 2 Smoothing Facial Cream: this moisturizer works to restore, balance, and nourish the skin. I truly do enjoy this moisturizer! It’s nice and creamy and my skin soaks it up ⠀ Step 3 Tea Tree Spot Treatment: this was my favorite step. This spot treatment helped so much and I noticed my spots reducing in size after just one day of using it. ⠀ Overall this trio is definitely a treatment that I will continue to use when spots appear. ⠀ *products gifted*

Acne and Skin in general
Acne and Skin in general
I think that especially with my page, posting about clearing my skin, skin struggles, taking pills, and countless products, it is so important to remember what I am getting out of all this. CONFIDENCE! Some of us are on this app just to learn more about how to keep our skin young and healthy! Which is pretty much all of us. But most also struggle with countless skin insecurities that we want recommendations and solutions for. I know that in the back of my head when I think of acne I think that I need it to be gone in order to be happy or have confidence in my skin. Which is absolutely incorrect. Having a nice skincare routine and wanting the best for your skin is absolutely the goal. But please please please do not forget that you are beautiful, insecurities don't define you, and you don't need clear, unattainable skin to have confidence. If this idea that perfect skin is possible and something that you should have, then you aren't surrounding yourself with the correct people or accounts of social media. Photoshop and filters exist, so don't trust the internet or aim goals based on the internet. You are beautiful and loved. Your insecurities don't define you whatsoever, so please get in the mindset that any type of skin you have, is completely perfect and beautiful.

XL Acne Patches?!
XL Acne Patches?!
Do you love what acne patches do for your pimples, but wish you could cover a cluster of pimples? This is the perfect product for you! What is it? - Avarelle XL Acne Patches are created for people who suffer from troublesome skin or blemish issues in order to lower the unwanted stress levels and to boost your confidence for a cleaner, happier skin. Avarelle is made with Tea Tree Oil, Calendula Oil & Hydrocolloid Dressing. Simply apply Avarelle whenever you see unwelcoming acne coming up. - They are available on Amazon for $8.50 for 8 patches! What’s in it? - Tea Tree Oil: skin-soothing properties and antioxidant. - Calendula Oil: skin-soothing and antioxidant properties. - Cica/Centella: source of amino acids and has soothing properties. - Hydrocolloid Dressing: thought to work by drawing out sebum, absorbing excess oil, reducing inflammation, and significantly reducing the size of blemishes. How to use- - Cleanse & Dry Area. Before applying toner/lotion/etc, peel and apply the patch overnight or desired amount of time (minimum of 6 hours). My review- - I have dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin. I started getting an increased amount of acne, especially around my chin/jawline. I had previously used the traditional small, circle acne patches, but found that I needed something bigger to cover the clusters of pimples that I had. I searched on Amazon and found these amazing XL acne patches! - I have used these patches a couple times now, and they are so effective! They stick so well to the skin. I typically wear them overnight since even though they are almost clear, it’s still visible on the skin. I find them to be the perfect size, but you can cut them to fit your face better. - They really do suck all the sebum out of the pimple and make them clear up so much faster. Plus they prevent you from picking at the acne, which is helpful all by itself! I definitely recommend trying these out!
