BYE BYE STATIC👋
Frizz and fly-aways happen to the best of us. No matter how often we moisturize our hair during the winter, escaping static electricity seems impossible. To better understand how to tame your hair static, you need to know a little bit more about what causes it. So, What Causes Hair Static? Static electricity is created when two objects rub against each other. This swap causes a kind of electric charge to build up on your hair. If there is humidity in the air, the charge can usually just go away on its own.🙏🏼 There’s many ways one can get rid of fly-aways and hair static…You can use hair oils, leave-in conditioners, there’s even some anti-frizz, anti-static hair products you can use. However, I have found a way that works best for me. I got this idea from celebrity hair stylist, Jen Atkin (founder and owner of OUAI). She says that one of the best ways to get rid of fly-aways and hair static is by using a blush brush and hairspray. I have very thick, curly and frizzy hair naturally. My fly-aways and static appear on either side of my parting and they normally appear straight after I wash and straighten my hair. All I want is a sleek smooth look, but these fly-aways always get in the way.🙄 #Sorbet - Flexible and Shine Hairspray[products]# I use the Flexible and Shine Hairspray from Sorbet. I love this product because it keeps everything in place but doesn’t harden your hair (that’s the worst). I spray this hairspray onto a plain old (no name brand) blush brush, and slowly stroke down the strands of hairs that are static. This really does work like a bomb. You do have to go over the strands a couple of times until all of them are sleek and smoothed down. There’s my little trick of the day. Try it out and let me know if this hack works for you! Paula x
I hold the curls and simply by this great wave spray!
I love how long hair looks in big waves, while curly hair isn't in my genetic cards. So I got a curly hairstyle at a salon. But I have fine straight hair texture, which is easily to lose those beautiful artificial curls when I wake up the next day. Nowadays everyone is longing for full textured locks and bouncy hair, so do I. I won’t give up struggling with holding the curls. I've tried so many ways to hold curls and I think I have found a great as well as the most convenient way to keep my curls bounce and wavy. That is OUAI - OUAI Wave Spray This product retails for $21. It is a great easily-used texturizing spray for keeping no matter natural curls or artificial waves. I use it every morning before I go out with dry hair. Simply spray it on the curls of my hair. Then comb my hair with my fingers. I usually avoid using a comb or brush to style my curls, since they will make my hairstyle come undone. After I treat my hair with this spay, I feel my hair become soft and those curls appear apparently. It also smelled more sophisticated than the other ones which always gives me good mood for a day. I have tried several products for holding curls, but I'm committed to my bottle of Ouai wave spray. It really worth trying. As a fine straight hair girl, I have some tips for you guys who have the same problem like me. Like I have mentioned above, comb your hair with fingers as you can, since by fingers you'll get a looser, more lived-in look, while a comb or brush would break the curls. Also, when blow out your hair, you'd better turn on the cool air. Cooling off hair helps to strengthen the curls and prevent them from relaxing and losing too soon. If you always use conditioner, conditioner with a lighter formula our hair could avoid falling flat.

Help my hair!
So my whole life I have always had long and supposedly straight hair because I had always had it done up and I had not had it down for 24 hours in YEARS so I was taking care of my hair as if it was straight and as you can see it is NOT STRAIGHT you could even call it curly. I had just found out last year... lol 😂 that I had curly hair 👩🦱 and I’m still new to this curly hair thing so if there are any tips or products you know of please recommend! My “hair routine” rn looks like - Use normal shampoo and conditioner 🧴 - Once a week leave in Marc Anthony hair mask in for 10 minutes then rinse out. - Get out of shower and scrunch water out of hair with t-shirt to reduce frizz - Scrunch in Marc Anthony curl enhancing lotion and styling foam. - leave hair in makeshift bonnet for 30 mins then let air dry. Also can someone tell me my hair type? Please educate me! 😘 MARC ANTHONY TRUE PROFESSIONAL - Strictly Curls Curl Enhancing Styling Foam MARC ANTHONY TRUE PROFESSIONAL - Curl Defining Lotion MARC ANTHONY TRUE PROFESSIONAL - Damage Repair Mask

How I deal with my thick, wavy, and frizzy hair
When I was little my hair used to be straight up curly. Over the years as I grew up (and as my emo phase raged on) I heat styled it to death so depending on how long I go without heat styling I have anywhere from curls to waves. Right now with my hair being so short it’s just simple waves. With it being so short in the back as well it makes it a lot easier for me to straighten it then deal with the waves. The first video is my natural waves I woke up with. I washed my hair the night prior and used the Amika Flash Instant Mask in the shower as well as the Chi Silk Infusion after I got out. The Chi Silk Infusion is something I use on my hair when I wash it regardless of length or curl phase it’s going through (it’s usually a lot curlier when it’s longer). It’s a gel/oil consistency that smooths the hair and makes it feel silky soft. Whenever I heat style my hair I always use the IGK - Good Behavior Spirulina Protein Anti-Frizz Smoothing Spray . I usually part my hair into sections, spray all over, and comb through (which you’ve seen me do in past videos). This smells amazing, acts as a heat protectant, and smooths down any excess frizz (which I get a lot of). Then I take my Paul Mitchell flat iron and iron my hair. I do this in three different sections so everything is straightened properly and I don’t have any waves or bumps. Then I take the OLAPLEX - No. 7 Bonding Oil which I just started using recently. I was surprised with how lightweight this oil was and how it didn’t make my strands feel greasy or weighed down no matter how much I used. It feels silky smooth and I’ve noticed a lot less frizz when I use this product in the ends. This is how I deal with my hair on a normal basis. When it was longer I would usually throw it up in a bun with a head band but with it being so short I can no longer do that. Being shorter with all the smoothing products and heat styling it makes it a lot easier for me to manage throughout the day.

amika: - Velveteen Dream Smoothing Balm I think I originally received a sample of the Amika Smoothing balm in a Birchbox a couple years back. Since then, it has been a staple in my hair care routine. Pros: Can be used on wet or dry hair It smells great, not too over powering It really does make my hair less frizzy, especially when it is humid outside I am on my second bottle, the first on lasted about two years while I used about a dimes worth of product 2-3 times per week Amika’s products are sulfate-free and cruelty-free Cons: Despite what the bottle says on the back this is not a light weight formula, it does weigh my hair down. This is why the product is not 5 stars for me. The bottle makes it really difficult to get a small amount out. A little definitely goes a long way. Summary: This product smells great, will last you a long time and is definitely worth your money if you have thick frizzy hair like mine.

I’ve come to discover over the years that one of the most underrated hair styling products is hairspray. I think that people are intimidated by it or they think you only use it for special occasions (when you curl your hair or put it up in an up-do). However, hairspray is a great everyday product that most people can benefit from in their styling routine. The first step is finding the right hairspray! My new personal favorite is O&M’s Original Queenie Firm Hold Hairspray. The number one reason why it’s my new fav is that its clean beauty product which can be hard to find in an aerosol hairspray. This product is cruelty-free, PETA approved, and formulated without gluten, triclosan, MIT, and propylene glycol. It also has Sephora’s “Clean at Sephora” seal of approval. Queenie contains Australian native active lilly pilly which helps control oil in the hair leaving it looking shiny and clean as well as extending the style. Although the name says firm hold, I still find the formula flexible, not sticky. My favorite way to use this hairspray is to spray your hands with a little Queenie and then gently smooth all the frizzy hairs along your part, I then take my hands and use the rest to smooth and define my ends. After that I give my hair an all over spritz because this hairspray smells AMAZING and holds my curls or straightening all day!
HOLY GRAIL DEFINING CURL CREAM‼️
cake - The Curl Friend Defining Curl Cream For reference, I have type 3A curls and thin hair strands. So, I was going to wait for a couple of more uses with this product, but I just HAD to make this post after using it for the first time because WOW I’M SUPER IMPRESSED! I headed out to buy my usual aussie - Miracle Curls with Coconut Oil Paraben Free Detangling Milk Treatment , but they ran out of stock, and that’s when I stumbled upon this cake - The Curl Friend Defining Curl Cream . After long due diligence, I decided to buy it because it’s vegan (no harsh chemicals, parabens and/or sulfates) and it also won an allure’s best of beauty award in 2019. The packaging is beautiful, and, when I opened it after washing my hair, I couldn’t help but notice the lovely and amazing smell that was coming out of this. It’s definitely sweet, but not overwhelming at all. Once I tried it, I noticed that the cream felt so smooth, silky, & lightweight (great for thin hair strands). It has avocado oil, soybean oil, and shea butter in it! It seems like this is definitely the perfect combination (for now) for my hair. I’ve shied away from butter mostly because it can be too heavy for my thin strands, but I guess that having it in smaller quantities works great. My hair is so SHINY, DEFINED, and VOLUMINOUS, and smells like CAKE. I mean, look at it! I can definitely say that this is my NUMBER 1 defining cream. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, please let me know how it feels if you try it. I am definitely going to try more cake products in the near future after finding this holy grail.
